Aradia was currently on her way to check in on her mother. even though she was pretty independent, she did like to try to stay close with her family. with everything that had been going on, she just wanted to make sure her mother was alright. even though she was strong and independent, she still didn't ever want anything to happen to her mother. picking up her pace a little, she didn't allow herself to get side track from checking in on her mother.

Since the battles with the Mava'Bunda, Angavu had been taking it easy as she began to heal. She still walked with a slight limp but her foot was healing well enough, her neck was about normal again, too. After yelling at Mkate and talking with the rest of the family, particularly Kafara, she'd calmed down about what happened to Memetuka as well. The only real problem was accepting the fact that without her grandmother around, her den had become a sort of home base for any of Cheshi's family members who preferred to stick together over splitting up. She'd gone from one hare to what seemed like dozens- though to be fair, it was closer to half a dozen.

One hare in particular, Koko was clingy- but he was so small and had just lost his mother, so she tended to give him more sympathy and welcome. That was why even when she lay outside her den, purposefully away from the hares, she let him curl up and sleep by her side.

Enjoying the warm sun, she could see Aradia approaching long before she was within earshot. She was looking her way with a smile as she approached.

"Good afternoon, Aradia," she greeted her.

Aradia was pleased to see her mother healing and taking it easy. she smiled in return and went over to give her mother a soft headbutt of affection before laying down near her. " good afternoon to you too mother." she couldn't help but chuckle with amusement when she noticed the clingy Koko at her mother's side sleeping. " it seems he is sleeping peacefully." with all the family members of Cheshi's making her mother's den home, she hoped they were not causing her too much trouble which by the looks at lest it didn't seemed they were. " and how are you this afternoon?" she wanted to make sure her mother was doing well and if she needed her to do anything.

Angavu did enjoy when her cubs were around, even if they weren't really cubs anymore. Perhaps that made it better, she was very happy when they were independent and self-sufficient.. of course, then there was Nyota who up and left entirely.

Somewhere in between staying in her den and leaving the whole pride, that was perfect.

"Ah yes," she said, smiling at Aradia and glancing down to Koko, "My little buddy here seems reluctant to leave me." Her voice lowered a bit as she continued, though she was sure he wouldn't wake up and hear.

"I think it's because I look so much like Grandma did," she speculated, "It's too bad Mizi left, she looked the most like his mother."

Aradia kept her own voice lowered like her mother did since she didn't want to end up waking Koko. "poor little guy must be taking it really hard. it really is a shame Mizi left." she did feel bad for him, but she was glad there was someone looking out for him. " if there is anything i can do, just let me know." as her daughter, she wanted to make sure her mother knew that she was strong and capable to help when needed.

She looked back up to her daughter with an appreciative smile, "Thank you, but I'm OK right now. Why don't you make yourself comfortable and tell me what you've been up to."

That was one downside to the cubs leaving the den, it was harder for Angavu to keep track of everything they did. She wasn't exactly the type to pry and interfere but she liked to know, more than she care to admit, perhaps.

(( I'm sorry, I have no excuse ;;;; if you want to finish this RP, we can. If you'd rather just abandon it, that's fine too. I'm so sorry I lost track of this @@ ))

( <3 its all good. and i would love to finish out this rp @3@ i have lost track of rps before too )

Aradia made herself comfortable as her mother suggested and it was clear by her smile that she was glad to hear that her mother was ok at the moment. " well i recently made a few friends." she was rather pleased with herself that she had something to tell her mother about when usually she didn't since she usually stuck to a dull routine. but with her new found friend Dhiren, her dull routine was no more. " Dhiren is too easy to get all hyper and excited but i guess that's what is charming about him. Auri'jua though is very shy and then there's Kujaku who is almost boring with how mild mannered he is."

It was difficult to find a way to look pleased without looking too surprised when Aradia said she had made some new friends. Angavu didn't doubt her offspring were sociable and likeable, it was a pleasant surprise to know there were friends worth telling your mother about.

"Hmm, that sounds like you've got a well-balanced group of friends," she said, smiling, "None of those names are familiar, are they related to anybody I'd know?"

The Pridelands was enormous but there were plenty of large, easy-to-identify families.

" yeah i guess your right." Aradia had not thought about her and her group of friend were a well-balanced bunch with how different they all are. " i don't think any of them have any relatives here but i could be wrong. they all recently joined and i been showing them around." she knew there was a chance that she could be wrong about her new found friends having relatives here in the pridelands since the pride was so big with many families. " i actually been having fun showing them around and keeping busy."

"Oooh, how interesting," she hummed thoughtfully when Aradia revealed they were all new to the pride. While she hadn't really been expecting that as an answer, the pride was always growing so that wasn't much of a surprise, really. Showing around new members did sound like a much easier way of getting to know someone than trying to make small talk with someone who already knew their way around and the general goings-on of the pride. Angavu herself was certainly more attracted to rogues, and it showed in each one of her cubs.

"That does sound like a lot of fun," she commented, "Have you found anything interesting you haven't noticed before? It's easy not to look too carefully around somewhere so familiar without help."

Aradia certainly did feel it was easier to get to know a rouge that was joining since you got to know them by showing them the ropes and that usually lead to easy conversations. " yeah it has been lots of fun, specially cause Dhiren seems to always find new things all the time. it amuses me how excited he gets over being shown around." she blushed a little that she seemed to go on and on a bit about Dhiren. now she wondered if her mother had caught on or not that she did like Dhiren.
