Mohombi sighed as he rolled over on a rock that rested not too far from Pride Rock. None of these rocks were as comfortable as his old rocks, and there with so many lions around, it was crowded enough actually on Pride Rock so the male had taken to going off to find his own comfort, calling it more of scouting for any lacking hyenas while looking for food. Right...food. The rumbling of his stomach reminded him. That's why he had actually come out, it's just that the rock he was currently sprawled out on had looked so comfortable. Again Mohombi sighed, weighing his options on if he could continue to lay there or actually get up and hunt.

Ankara had been up and about since the early morning. Some had been spent helping to hunt, and the rest of the time she had taken for herself, to simply stroll about and take in he new lands around her. She was not so used to having so many others around, and it was actually quite nice to actually have someone to talk to should he feel he need to converse with another. it was much easier to do so than walking around on her own, that was for sure. Though she was enjoying having others around it was still nice to get time for herself. This was such a time as she walked lazily along a path, one that had been worn by use of many paws to dirt. A deep inhale brought along with it the smell of dirt, grass and various other smells on the breeze. One such smell was quite familiar to her, and as she followed it off the worn path she spotted ahead a lump laying atop a rock. “Hey there! I hope I am not interrupting you out here.” Ankara smiled softly a the male as she made her way towards him.

Again he rolled over, looking over to see a familiar sight. "Ankara!" Mohombi called out, quickly pushing himself to his paws only succeeding in stumbling off of the rock in the process. "Oooh, my head." The brown male groaned as he laid on the ground, his eyes shut quite tightly, his whole body aching from the fall. That was not exactly how he had planned to greet her this time or any time for that matter. How embarrassing! And now he looked like a fool in front of her by being too hasty. How odd. He was usually the one that took his time but around her, it was just about hurrying it seemed. They had only met when they had decided to go to the Pridelands together. What was it about her that put him in a hurry?

Ankara paused only for a moment as the male acknowledged her presence and then fell off the rock he had been laying upon in his haste. She stifled a giggle as best she could as she hurried over, though it could be heard in her voice as she spoke. “Are you alight?” She was worried he might be harmed, but she just could not help herself. So far it had mainly been her that looked the fool, and she could not help but find it funny that for once it was Mohombi who had some something less than graceful.

Mohombi's eyes opened slowly, another small grown slipping out of his mouth. "Yeah I'm fine. Hey, at least I made you laugh." He spoke quietly with a smile as he brought himself too his paws, shaking the dirt, dust, grass and gods know what else from his mane, wobbling a bit as he did so. "I guess you just swept me off my paws." And of course he had to make some kind of joke about his own folly. "So what brings you out here? The lionesses told me you were out in the hunting parties when I woke up." Not that he had truly looked for her, in fear of this exact situation happening: not knowing what to say to her.

“Oh, did I now?” Ankara grinned at his joke, before nodding at the question that followed. “I was. Helped bring back a few of the kills and they were taking a break before the party went back out. They will likely be heading back out soon, but I thought I would take a quick stroll before heading back. I came across you though, so it must have been a good idea.” She sat herself down, smiling softly at Mohombi. “So what are you doing out here?”

The tan-maned male's ears began to heat as he was asked what he had been doing that morning. Being lazy didn't exactly sound masculine or even very flattering. While he wasn't lazy by nature, pride life had been getting to him. Not having to hunt every day and watch his own back all the time was nice but would also likely give him a belly later on if he wasn't careful. Mohombi smiled slightly awkwardly as he sat down a little ways from her. "Nothing really, just waiting for you to start heading back. I must have nodded off." It wasn't a complete lie. He had actually been waiting for her...originally. But the sun just felt better on his stomach in the Pridelands then before even if the rocks weren't as comfortable.

Ankara quirked a brow at his response. “Oh? Well that’s sweet of you.” A call behind her caught her attention before she could speak further, and as Ankara looked over her shoulder she saw the hunting party that she had gone out with earlier beckoning her over. She couldn’t say she wasn’t a little disappointed in their timing as she was enjoying Mohombi’s company. With a light sigh she stood, an apologetic smile on her maw. “Well, it looks like my break is over. The hunting party is ready to go out again.”

"Hehe, well I'm glad I waited at least and didn't go out looking for you. I probably would have taken a lot longer to find your hunting party." His ears swiveled forward and sideways quickly at the found of her moving suddenly. They were calling her back already. She couldn't be leaving just yet, they had barely started speaking! "Ah- Ankara! Tonight, could we go for a walk or something? After all the hunts are done of course?" Mohombi's words were hasty as he tried to get them out before she was too far away.

The question caused her to pause, not so much out of hesitation as from surprise. Ankara smiled and nodded. “Of course! I will meet you here then, after all the hunts are over.” With that she turned and hurried off towards the party. “See you later then!” The words were shouted back over her shoulder as she went, before she got too far away to be easily heard.
