Page 8, Page 22, Page 40, Page 54, Page 61 Location: D8 Action: With Amarynthos, Yvoire, Dering, Reims, and a bunch of others. Using his healing magic. 5hp to the 6 lowest hp in the square, please! Total: 5 + 10 (Rank) x 2 (Metallic bracelet) = 30 HP: 103 - (10 + 5 bad roll) = 88
Ephesus was relieved that Yvoire was okay. He was relieved that Dering and Reims had their family join them. He was still worried about his own family, but Amarynthos was beside him, keeping him as calm as possible.
Even when there were terrifying strikes of lighting all around them. Cutting through space into other places in the universe. How was that even possible? He’d closed his eyes when the Calamitous Hollow shot a blast of lightning at Earth, but-- the shields had to hold.
He was scared. His heart was racing as he watched others fall around them. They had Dering, at least. His shield was keeping them all safe.
Ephesus could feel the way Amarynthos’ heart was racing, too. Even with his gentle thoughts and words of reassurance. But it was enough to help Ephesus stay calm. He squeezed Amarynthos’ hand back and nodded to confirm he understood and trusted him.
“Just stay close, if you can,” he nodded to Yvoire. He didn’t know if what they did would be enough, but they had to try. Dering thought it should be, so it had to be.
Page 2, Page 15, Page 22, Page 40, Page 54, Page 61 Location: D8 Action: Snarking at Michel and attacking the serpent. Total: 8 + 10 (Rank) = 18 HP: 90 - (10 + 9 bad roll) = 71
Reims was trying to ignore the way his ears burned since Yvoire’s eyes met his. He knew things were still shaky between them, but he was really glad to see him. Even if he was worried about what was happening.
They were still feeling the effects of the black lighting and the scales falling from the sky, but he did his best to keep Malus close to him and Dering.
“We’re still sta--” Reims started, but then clicked his tongue when Michel said the same thing. “Why don’t you focus on taking that thing down?” he scoffed at the Saturn Knight. “He’s just asking. He’s going to fight, obviously!” he yelled out as Michel moved away from them.
“a*****e,” he grumbled as he stepped away from Malus and the others long enough to jump up and attack the serpent with his sword and magic.
Varuna kept her eyes on the sky as the serpent circled and struck. She didn’t know what that meant for them, but it was at least getting smaller.
“We should be able to capture it soon,” she said quietly to Adria and whoever else was close enough to hear her quiet voice. At least, that was the plan. They had the spike. It was just a matter of time…
“We should consider moving away from the center,” she frowned. Maybe she was being paranoid, but being so close to where the serpent would be imprisoned seemed like a bad idea.
She took a moment to use her magic once more, hoping it would be enough to at least get it a little smaller.
One last attack with his mace and then, there was nothing. Maybe his tablet would still record what remained of the battle, but Reidite fell to the black lightning that danced across his body, making it feel like he was being ripped apart.
So this was it. Even after everything Misha had done to try and save him, he was still going to die here. It was a bit anticlimactic. He knew he hadn’t done much to help, but he did try.
Now, all there was before him was this strange black star. Cracked. With electric energy dancing around it. Sucking out hope and filling everything with fear and hopelessness.
Maybe his starseed would meet Misha again in another life, if he was lucky.
When Axinite’s eyes met Taenite’s, he made sure to convey as much of a warning as he could. Don’t push yourself.
Obviously the General King could do whatever he damn well pleased, but he was already wearing himself down with worry. It was no wonder why he was trying to hide from them by attacking the serpent with such ferocity. And with all the lightning around them?
Taenite clicked his tongue to the roof of his mouth, but shifted his attention to catch Tyndareus as he leaned against him. There didn’t seem to be any hesitation or tension from Taenite at the sudden close proximity, but as he aimed his own attack at the sky, he kept careful watch on Axinite.
He saw the way Tyndareus seemed surprised by Axinite’s generosity. He didn’t blame him for his skepticism. Sometimes, Taenite wondered if Axinite was simply looking for a place to die. Would that ease his guilt? Going out in a glorious battle?
“He’d sacrifice himself for us if we let him. Unfortunately for him, he’s stuck with us for now,” he said to the other Senshi in a low voice. He didn’t know exactly what Tyndareus thought, but there had been plenty of others. New and unaware of the suffering Axinite had experienced. Still experienced.
Cadet Rhysi Location:moving from e1 to d1 Action:attacking and looting scale debris Total: (9 + 10 Almadel pin) 19 HP: (43-0) 43
The child would be fine as long as they were not incredibly stupid. The spike was in place and serving its purpose. The knight that had been trailing her proved to be a very acceptable human.
Looking at the woman and the area where she could feel a powerful shield being laid out by the other knight who...had gone rather dazed and boneless? Had she burned herself out? Was she perhaps dead?
The starseed of a transcended Knight...
Shaking her head, Rhysi returned to her more pressing needs. Turning her head she told the Earth squire, "Acquiring samples."
Moving toward a less protected area, Rhysi began picking through the newly fallen, much more manageably sized scales, recording as she went. Periodically, the cadet would turn and shoot an energy bolt up toward the sky. She eyes them for flaws and minor differences until she found one that was whole and relatively unmarred.
During this entire process, it should be noted, that Rhysi was singing "Happy Birthday to me." Over and over again, because she hadn't realized there were more words to the song.
Cadet Lysanna Location: F5 --> moving to F3 Action: Listening to Vyn's orders ... and eating her berry. Total: n/a HP: 32 - 26 (rd damage) + 15 (Almadel's berry) = 21hp
There was an alarmed look in her gaze as she took in Cypher's stance and the fact that the Corporal had shifted to a position in which he would have a clean shot at Hugbell that she would not be able to defend against, especially if she were still trying to keep an eye on Commander Vyn as well. The tension was truly thick in the air, perhaps a reflection of the atmosphere around them, crackling with untold amounts of static electricity. As Vyn instructed her to conserve her strength and for Cypher to aid her, Lysanna gave the smallest sigh of relief before she rooted around for that little blue cloth pouch that everyone had received at the onset of this battle. Upon finding it, the cadet pulled out the last item in the cloth pouch before staring at the tiny berry. She ran it across her palm before simply sticking it in her mouth and biting down immediately on the fruit. It burst inside, flooding her sense of taste with its sweetness.
The well of energy that seemed to spring up from nowhere had Lysanna exhaling in relief as some of her hurt and discomfort seemed to ebb away but there had been an order given to her from a Commander and she was going to follow it. The additional boost of energy, notwithstanding, had helped but it was a far cry to say that she was going to be alright until everything was over and done with. Her gaze tracked to the creature as the shield above finally failed and she gave an audible cry of alarm, "I'm of the opinion we need to go, and soon."
Arawn clicked his tongue to the roof of his mouth, watching as Laon continued to push himself. Thanks to Remarque, they were all in relatively good condition. Their little corner seemed to be faring better than the majority of those on the field, fighting this thing.
Casually, Arawn tossed another iteration of his magic at the serpent. He didn’t know what it was doing, but he didn’t want to take his attention off of Laon.
He leaned close to press a kiss against Laon’s forehead, and wrapped an arm around him to keep him close-- at least when he wasn’t using his magic, too.
He wanted to get Remarque-- but Laon was right. He was, busy. So as he tucked Laon’s head under his chin and held him close to his chest, he did his best to catch Remarque’s eye. Not that he expected him to do much, but to at least know there was something going on.
“I haven’t forgotten what day it is,” he said after a few moments. He knew his memory was bad, but Jett had been doing everything in his power to get him to doctors who would be able to help him. It wasn’t much, but he did have more moments of clarity than before. It was like he was walking around with a sheet over his head, and sometimes it was pulled off so he could actually see.
“It’s bullshit this has to happen, too. Let’s make sure we get home from this, okay?”
Location: A7. Action:attacking Harold with a Forgotten Spell, and then KO’d (with a pit stop through being a useless lesbian about Chrysocolla and loving her General). Total: 9 +5 (second stage) = 14. HP: –25 / 125 (6 +15 (Almadel’s berry) – 26 from Harold’s general attack – 20 from black lightning)
As much as Andesine relished in making color-coded charts and organizing a good presentation/very official plan proposal for Ashanite and the General-Sovereigns, there remained something special about the field of battle. She would’ve been a fool to deny that. Seeing everyone from the Negaverse out here, Agents and senshi alike, standing behind their Queen and presenting a united front with displays of strength that would surely remind Order of their own weakness and remind the Dark Mirror Court to stay in-line, lest they cross the Negaverse.
Yet, even given the unpredictable nature of battle, Andesine never would have predicted that she might see what she did.
Never mind the ******** space-snake. Yes, yes, he had the biggest d**k she’d never seen, and he was indeed vewwy scawy—but over in the distance, near Queen Laurelite, some idiot Princess Andesine didn’t care about, and some Jupiter Knight she cared about even less.…… Over by them was Chrysocolla.
Andesine didn’t know the eternal senshi very well. Their paths had crossed on Astraya, only a few months into Andesine’s time as a Lieutenant, but they hadn’t had occasion to work together since. Nevertheless, Andesine couldn’t help but be impressed. Petite and curvy, Chrysocolla had seemed (in Andesine’s extremely gay but otherwise wholly unbiased opinion) to radiate a confidence and surety in Metallia’s will—moreover, in her own importance to fulfilling Metallia’s will and her own ability to enact whatever Metallia asked of her—that Andesine envied. Not in the petulant, child, “resentful-adjacent but kept locked away inside her own head” way that she envied people like Akaganeite and her girlfriend, who could share their hearts with each other like they had tonight when Andesine knew she couldn’t do that, but in a way that burned with passion and drove Andesine to work harder, to hone her skills and perfect herself so tha she could serve Metallia and the Negaverse with similar devotion.
Didn’t hurt that Eternal Chrysocolla was a stone-cold babe, either, but that was beside the point, thank you very much.
Different rifts tore open in the wake of the Calamitous Hollow’s attack. Through some of them, Andesine caught glimpses of other worlds and other stars. Utterly disinteresting, in the face of the creature that had just sent a massive electrical blast toward the Earth. She burned with the desire to smash its ******** teeth in because who gave it the right to storm around here like it owned this galaxy, destroying whatever planets it wanted, especially when the planet in question was Andesine’s planet?
That desire flickered, somewhat, as the sight of Chrysocolla disappearing into a rift caught Andesine’s eye. One moment, the eternal senshi was atop the Calamitous Hollow. The next, not so much as a glimpse of those vibrantly teal curls.
What in the world—?
Preparing herself for the great beast’s wrath, Andesine choked down the berry from her giftbag. In the time it took for her to do so, Chrysocolla returned through the rift—and something fundamental about her had changed. From a distance, making out that something posed more of a challenge than felt entirely fair, but when Andesine did notice, she gasped softly, eyes going wide in admiration.
Cracks spiderwebbing across Chrysocolla’s skin.
She had Ascended.
Whatever had happened in that Rift, whatever she had managed to do, she had accessed the planet that wanted to claim dominion over her starseed and she had given it wholly to Metallia. Everything about that world, everything that it could have meant to her or to a future incarnation of Sailor Chrysocolla, all of that potential given to Metallia and converted into raw Chaotic power that now radiated off of her.
The desire to smash the Calamitous Hollow’s face into an unrecognizable pulp returned as the reality of that change dawned on Andesine. It burned even hotter now, and doubly so as she glanced aside to where General-King Jet had caught General Aquamarine in his arms. Andesine’s body ached. Her soul ached. Shockwaves from the Calamitous Hollow’s attacks crashed over her like a waterfall of electricity. But she couldn’t stand here and do nothing as every other officer of the Negaverse around her risked themselves—risked everything they were and everything that their starseed could have ever been—to stop this beast.
She took another running leap. Rearing back, she spun her meteor hammer and swung it toward the Calamitous Hollow’s underbelly. Sent another burst of that magic she’d found crashing into it, then let the strange gravity of this place bring her back to the ground in a superhero landing.
But her body trembled as she pushed herself back up to standing. Instinctively, she clutched at her side—the side where, under her uniform, she still had scars that, thanks to a certain rabid b***h princess’s magic, looked like Andesine had been torn apart by wild dogs and barely lived to tell the tale. She wasn’t bleeding, or if she was, Andesine couldn’t feel from where. Ragged breaths. Stiff knees wobbling beneath her. The strain of staying upright.
Fighting to keep every molecule of her body together, it felt like.
Part of her felt tempted to let them dissipate. As the black lightning fell around her, it would’ve been so easy. She had so much waiting for her. So many things that she had to do. She and Amylthia had worked so hard on perfecting the presentation and she needed to give it to Ashanite because, as a Captain, she probably couldn’t take it to the General-Sovereigns on her own. Or at least, she had better chances if she had Ashanite with her. Still, letting go of it all felt like a warm idea. It felt welcoming. Inviting, even.
Then, she saw it.
The biggest bolt of lightning she’d seen yet.
Heading right for, of all people, him.
Not just any General, but Andesine’s General. Her General who’d taken such a chance on her—
She didn’t think. She didn’t need to. Bolting the short distance, Andesine shoved Ashanite out of the way. Screamed as the lightning connected, hitting her cheek, and jaw, and neck.
Cold followed after that. Cold, cold, everything cold. The sub-zero frozen feeling that would kill you regardless of any oxygen or not, as she’d always heard about space. Fighting even harder to keep herself together, Andesine didn’t see the violently black lightning that spread across her face, then down her neck.
She only saw Ashanite. She fixed her eyes on him, trying to use him as motivation not to let this happen.
But she could only hold on for so long against the inevitable.
“General,” she gasped out. “Ashanite……I’m so sorry……” The black lightning spread to her hands. Down her legs, stark against the slip of skin visible between her skirt and her boots. She shuddered. “I’m sorry, I failed you.……”
Regardless of her determination and her refusal to quit, Andesine couldn’t hang on anymore.
As her body dissipated, her mind found itself somewhere else. Staring down some horrible anomaly, something that shouldn’t have existed in this universe or any other, and even without a body, Andesine shook all over. She would’ve sworn that she felt herself start crying, hot and wet and more shameful than anything else she could have done.
“No,” she rasped out, voice ragged and desperate. “No.…… Send me back. I’m not done yet.……” Shivering all over, she collapsed. Fell to her hands and knees, weeping in the void. The abyss. Whatever this place was supposed to be. “I’m not DONE yet, you worthless ******** ME BACK!”
But the Dark Star did not hear her, and offered only silence in return.

Forgotten Spell: At will, Andesine whips her meteor hammer and swings it at one target within a 20-foot radius, but does not hit them physically. Instead of physical damage, they are assaulted by a wave of magical force powerful enough to bowl over unsuspecting targets. A hallucination accompanies the force-wave: a powerful smell of rot, something like an uncleaned charnel house in the middle of an extremely humid August. This smell is incredibly unpleasant but illusory; it deals no extra damage and can be recognized as an illusion with focus from the target. This attack has three uses. 0 Uses Remaining.

Pendour was conscious, awake, processing everything around her, seeing him, reacting to him, and maybe, for a moment, Abzu was willing to believe that she was all right. He was willing to believe that he had done enough, that everyone in her area had done enough, that everything around her meant that she would stay.
Pendour's lips touched his, and he felt his heart flutter for a moment, before he closed his eyes and tried to melt into it in the moments it lasted.
"Yours," confirmed Abzu, quietly, when she noticed he was different, now.
He guessed he was.
But he hadn't expected to take a sudden turn, with the way the person he was building was suddenly not there, fading into the ground below, the sky above, somewhere else.
Abzu swore his heart stopped, for a moment.
And then a moment more.
And then a second further before he collapsed back on his knees, wondering what more he could have done. Was she gone? Was she dead? Had something taken her? What could he have done, what could he do now? Was there anything left?
Abzu remained there, looking at his hands.
Where they were full when he entered the field, they stood empty now.

Nectaris, Knight of the Moon Location: E4 Action: Attacking CH Total: 3 + 10 = 13 HP: 91 (Protected from Lightning)
Yeah, she really did not want to deal with the Negaverse right now. Not at all. Did the the wolf guy really not have anything better to do than gawk at them? When there was a giant snake monster trying to destroy the world?
She knew there had been some shields, she'd helped build one, so she wasn't gonna panic about Earth yet, but like.
She wasn't gonna get distracted until it was dead dead. Even by something as cool as, for example, her Chaos boyfriend coming with her to fight by her side at the end of the world.
Or, like, Encke managing to suck up all the lightning, which was admittedly pretty impressive.
She hadn't tried her magic on the snake yet. As she followed the others away from the General, she gritted her teeth and began to channel. The moonlight that repelled evil began to form around her, hitting part of its body. She made sure not to have Cryolite in its range.
They were close to the Moon, so, maybe that would help a little bit.
Small enough now that it seemed as if it might finally be trapped. Or at least that it might soon. They were making headway. The odds had seemed impossible, at first, but now—now—
Then.
Triplet horrors, all at once.
The awful stillness, the eye of the hurricane, and then the sky ripping open so that the Hollow could attack Earth itself.
“No no no—” A soft gasp, a moment of heart-clenching horror—but they’d done so much, to build the satellite shield, to deploy them, and they had to hold. One hit, was all Almadel had promised them. tHey had to make sure that one hit was all the monster ever got off.
His eyes were on the Hollow, on the skies around it, as it dove. And that meant he saw a familiar shape, a familiar Senshi, long hair like seafoam in color and in curl, red and gold against black.
Chrysocolla.
Whatever happened, exactly, he could still see the result. She was far away, but not so far that he couldn’t see the awful cracks, magnified in that moment.
For a horrifying moment, he remembered what it felt to be like that, in a future that would never come, a nightmare that he’d sworn and succeeded in undoing. Scooped out, Metallia’s will made manifest,t he voices of the other Ascended in his mind and the feeling of being clawed at, cracked apart, and—
He felt sick and dizzy for an awful, crushing moment.
And then the Hollow came down onto the shield.
And the shield came apart.
Kerberos whipped his attention to Lyndin. Earth was fine or it wasn’t (it had to be fine, they’d put so much into the little satellite shields, time and effort and hope and all of their hearts all at once) but Lyndin had been pouring so much of himself into the shield,
It was almost without thought that he let his magic burst forth, focused on the Commodore, heart hammering.
It had to be something. He needed to walk out of this without losing two friends.

Queen Laurelite Location: C8 Action: Speaking to Valhalla; attacking Total: Roll +25 [Laurelite is stronger than a standard fourth stage character so has a unique modifier] HP: ???
Unsurprisingly, Laurelite’s expression never changed. She watched as things unfolded with an unnatural calm.
The Calamitous Hollow, nor any of its actions, shook her.
“Conversely, Valhalla. You need us. Perhaps one day you can tell me what you do for Earth. I’d be very interested to learn how you think you’re helping.”
Chrysocolla landed in front of them, and Laurelite did not seem surprised by this, either.
She smiled sweetly, proudly.
“Chrysocolla, welcome. So good to see you. You look wonderful. Metallia is most pleased with you. But we’ll have to save the praise for later. Stand, there’s little time for formalities. Let’s finish what we started.”
She moved away from the group once more, just slightly, and only so she could move her scythe behind her. It crackled with energy, and so did she.
“Why don’t you show me how useful you can be, Valhalla. All your little friends are welcome to join in, too. Let’s talk when we see who makes it out of this alive.”
She teleported then, once again attacking the great serpent. This time, when she struck it, she cleaved through several scales, a bright, blue, bubbling energy blistered what flesh she’d found.
There was one last thing he could do. He felt his strength waning, and the world was going dark and spotty around the edges of his vision. But he could give it one more try. "Stop!" was again shouted toward the serpent, Tincalconite grabbing his pin as he did so. Lightning struck nearby, but did not hit him. That did not matter, however, as Tincalconite wavered, felt the world spin, and crumpled to one knee, breathing coming hard and fast. Pale skin cold and clammy, he felt sweat beading and dripping down the back of his neck under his ********... you..." he managed to Borax.

Danube was worried about Cybele. Of course she was. But Siegfried had her, and there was nothing else Danube could do to help but do her best not to add to the body count. Yddagen, Vanguard Cadet Location: F3 Action: attacking the CH, using his berry, protected from lightning Total: 10 HP: 69/100
If there was a time to use the berry, Yddagen figured it might as well be now. He was doing better than many other people he could see on the field, but there was no telling when that could change. The last thing he would want is for the berry to go to waste. So down it went, and Yddagen reflected on the taste as he lifted his blaster and aimed for the Calamitous Hollow's front legs. Lightning crashed around him, but none of it seemed to come anywhere close to him.
Phaethon was worried for Nembus. They couldn't see them in all of the commotion, and it had occurred to Phaethon that Nembus had never followed them toward the spike. They hoped that didn't mean they were just... out there, with no help. They craned their neck, but could not see them. Worse still, the bolts of black lightning made it even harder to see downfield. Phaethon grit their teeth, throwing their weight behind their fist at the Calamitous Hollow. While it did connect, they were swiftly struck by lightning for their trouble, and, for a moment, thoughts of trying to find Nembus were wiped from their mind along with everything and anything else.
Hierapolis, Squire of Cybele Location: E5 Action: Attacking with weapon, shielded from damage by Encke, relieved Cybele is safe, using the Berry Total: 7 + 5 = 12 HP: 37 + 15 = 52
Hierapolis had watched Cybele rise and fall - Siegfried had acted fast catching her, but the sight and sounds of bones being snapped was not easy to miss. He was about so see if there was some aid he could render when the adversary made their move...
Ever since the strange storms had started, there had been a sudden random fear of being struck by lightening that had entered his mind. Lightening had a habit of hitting the tallest thing around, after all, and he was quite tall. So maybe it wasn't too irrational of a fear to have had,but usually those irrational fears stay just that - irrational. It seemed like they all got hit, and it was awful, to say the least. Hierapolis took a knee and held on to Steins as if shielding her, but they all got hit, so what good was it? What good was he? This thought sparked an anger that spurred him on, and he went on the attack once more after slipping a berry in his mouth.
Steins, Eternal Senshi of Patchwork Location: E5 Action: Attacking with magic, shielded from damage by Encke, glad Cybele is safe Total: 3 + 10 = 13 HP: 62
Steins had wanted to run over to see if Cybele and Seigfried were alright, but soon the Hollow was attacking, and everything was Not Okay. She found herself shielded by the form of Hierapolis, or at least, the attempt had been there, and she was thankful, even if it had been ineffective. She could feel the fire build up in him, however, as he once more rushed in to attack. She noticed someone not far off seemed to be channelling the lightening - she didn't know the Senshi (Encke) but she was grateful - it looked incredibly painful. It was certainly dangerous. She knew she had to give it her all, especially if others were going to all but sacrifice themselves to the cause. There could be no holding back.
Hawara, Transcended Knight of Uranus Location: Moving from C6 >> E4 Action: Attacking with magic Total: 10 + 10 = 20 HP: 37 + 15(berry) = 52 (-16 = 36 if Encke shielding doesn't count for him)
Hawara was still moving across the field, looking for the better vantage point, but could find not advantage, so anywhere seemed just as good as the other to attack, but before he could launch another slicing wind the Hollow made it's move. Everyone was struck and it was horrific. He had been through some terrible pain before - pain that broke his body but had never broken his spirit... And this wouldn't either.
He sneered, teeth bared and rose pink eyes full of fire - feral and piercing. He straightened up again from where he had almost buckled from the Hollow's assault, and eyed the creature. It was smaller now, but no less dangerous. There were soldiers falling, and others rising to the occasion - There was one valiantly channelling the lightening around them, standing like a lightening rod.
It could very well have been the last thing the senshi would ever do - an act of selflessness that was not unappreciated by the knight, even if they did not know one another. Cynic though he could be, Hawara could not scoff at the act of potential sacrifice - after all, everything was on the line here. They all had to give everything, or risk losing it all.
Reinvigorated, fire stoked, Hawara launched another attack with his magic.

Corporal Nessaela Location: F3 Action: Attacking the Hollow Total: 6 + 5 = 11 damage HP: 86hp - 26 = 60hp (current) (( F3 square being shielded this round from black lightning thanks to Encke ))
Nessaela could only watch in horror as the shield that had been constructed by the Commodore finally failed. The sight before that of what looked like an immense bolt of energy blasting towards Earth had been equally horrifying. In her heart the Corporal had to believe that the satellite shields had done the job they were programmed to do but the fact of the matter was that the space around them twisted so quickly that before the explosion could clear and afford those watching the reassuring sight of Earth still pristine and whole, the atmosphere shifted.
Taking out her sword and making sure she had room to move did the Corporal jump up in order to strike at the creature. Her entire focus was on dealing the creature a dangerous strike.
Vanguard Cadet Itztenoch Location:F3 Action: With Lyndin & Crew - Firing at the snake! Hp: 52 - 19 (Nullified by Encke!)= 52 Attack:5 Roll: 5
There was no lying to himself, the way he flinched in the end, eyes shut as the blinding light shot through beyond the heavens and everything they and their willing energy-donors had poured into keeping the shields going--
Just a moment longer --- please -- we're not done yet --
Just a little longer---
He expected the lightning licking through the charged air, flicked loose by the furious creature, to take him down -- for the beast to fall on them wholly and crush them one and all beneath body and black, electrified death.
The end didn't come though, and as he blinked away the spots from the shields shattering, it was well and clear they were all alive that Aliez and the order senshi's good intentions had, somehow, miraculously spared them. As Tenoch saw Nessa move, he scrambled to follow -- heedless of the chaos flaring to life across one end of the field or another. His mind so focused on his, and his alone. That he staggered to, and followed suit. Firing on the beast furiously, wishing for it, more than any other creature he'd met to date, to die before it swept them in like it seemed to be sweeping in so many others.
