An arrow, and a blast of iridescent light. The first from the Dark Mirror. The second from the White Moon. Carnallite watched but expressed no concern about either group’s capabilities. The Calamitous Hollow crashed into the Vanguard’s shield.
Then they had the chance to attack.
Carnallite wasted no time. She summoned her sabre and made skillful use of teleportation to slice at what she could of the underbelly, phasing there and back again before she could fall to the ground.
‘Don’t need your ******** help,’ Aquamarine thought back at Jet. ‘Don’t know why you’d think I would.’
He was fine. Mostly. And if he wasn’t, he would be fine. There was no reason for Jet to worry, no reason for anyone else to be unnerved, no reason they should think he couldn’t handle the task fate had given him. (He certainly wasn’t about to let Jet deal with the spike’s effects, or whatever it was Aquamarine had been experiencing. Jet’s power was too great to lose if things went wrong.)
Nothing would go wrong, Aquamarine told himself. They had things under control. The Queen was there, and most of their Sovereigns. They had five spikes. The last Aquamarine spied in the creature’s tail, because of course that was where it was. The damage done to the prison during the creature’s escape corresponded with the place the sixth spike should have been. With any luck, one of the dumb ******** here would retrieve it and put it where it belonged. The sooner they finished this, the better off they’d be.
An arrow struck the underside, glimmering with tiny shards of reflective glass. A beam of light followed, piercing through the clouds to land the blast that sent the Calamitous Hollow into the shield.
The shockwave jostled Aquamarine. Lightning danced over him, but he grit his teeth and managed to hold back the hiss of pain threatening to escape. Now wasn’t the time for theatrics, as much as he wanted to rant and rave. There would be time for that after.
“Attack. Now,” he said. “Don’t do anything stupid,” he added, without clarifying if the follow up order was meant for Jet (probably) or the Captains (Seraphinite, Akaganeite, Reidite, Andesine, Leifite) and Senshi (Ako, Victoria) among them. “Fall back if you run into trouble. And for ******** sake, be strategic with teleportation. If you need a ******** pep talk, ask Ashanite for another sermon. You won’t be getting s**t from me.”
The Queen, Axinite, and Lepidolite were already launching their own impressive assaults from their locations. Aquamarine followed suit, drawing his rapier before teleporting up for a brutal thrust at the serpent responsible for the last several weeks of stress and exhaustion.
Corrupt Eternal Sailor Chrysocolla of Moods Location: D12 Action: casting Eternal magic to buff squaremates Total: 7 + 10 (Eternal) = 17; +12 to Hessonite, +5 to Brassite HP: 150 - 35 (CH) = 115
"Of course," Chrysocolla said, something in her body language and her demeanor matching Hessonite's fervor even if she sounded mostly calm. Brassite... now that was a promising Lieutenant. She'd have to see who the girl was serving under, later, if she had time. Make sure a young mind like that didn't get some ridiculous ideas.
She ground her heels into the ground beneath them when the Calamitous Hollow fell and took a moment to think. Her magic wasn't offensive. It never had been. Whatever mood the monster was in, she wasn't going to be able to do much about that even with her magic, and her fists wouldn't do much either. But both of the other women seemed... self-assured. Confident.
She could work with that.
"For Metallia," Chrysocolla murmured to herself, one hand on the gems on her collar, and the air around her distorted; like heat-haze, like stained glass, like water.

eternal sailor attack: Chrysocolla's Prism
action: Sailor Chrysocolla incants the name of her attack; an iridescent 'film' streams out from her brooch and hangs over the AOE of the magic, giving things and people inside a slight stained-glass effect (purely visual). Everything inside this AOE seems distorted. effect: Amplifies current emotions of targets to a fever pitch; the sort of fear that could (if natural) cause heart attacks, blind berserker rage, etc. Lasts for 60 seconds and cannot be shaken off fully, although moving out of the AOE will reduce effects. limitations: This attack can be used once per battle. This magic has a 15-foot range in a sphere, originating from Chrysocolla herself, and remains as an aftereffect in the air after cast for 60 seconds. Unlike her other attacks, Chrysocolla's Prism is not target-based; the zone affected by her magic remains and will affect anyone who steps into it, besides Chrysocolla herself, until its time runs out; leaving the AOE will reduce the effects of the magic (i.e. from a blind, maddened frenzy to being pissed off), but will not remove it entirely.

They waited for a moment where Ilmari was looking in their direction and made direct eye contact, hands snapping through a single signed message: If you don't want us to die, figure something out, if you're so smart! The compassion was actually pretty touching, but it wasn't Pax's nature to have compassion a lot of the time, and especially not in crisis and when they felt like they'd just been tased.
And there were more pressing issues. Like obliterating this stupid snake into the stratosphere. Even though their body still hurt, and it was so loud, too many voices, too many moving things, making it so hard to think -- ----- Super DSS Róka of the Undertow Location / Action: In G6, casting Super magic to attack HP: 125 - 35 (CH) - 7 (DSS) = 83 Roll: 7 x 2 (DSS) + 5 (super) = 19 There wasn't actually an unholy light in Róka's eyes, but it seemed like there should have been; they didn't flinch at all when the shock swept across the field, and when they called their magic to hand it came on too-strong. Good. Good. Now this was the way things could stand to be more often.
They missed their harpoon, their knives, so bad it was a tangible pain in their chest. But one made do.
They flung themself at the Hollow with disconcerting precision, laughing high and bright.

Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon ; Dering, Knight of Lysithea Location: D8 Action: Amarynthos and Dering are with Ephesus and Reims; they are staying close(ish) to Sessrumnir and Alastor. They do not yet know Yvoire is also here. Dering is using his shield + Amarynthos is attacking.
When Dering started strumming his lute, it was panicky and imperfect but it worked. He didn’t have the best intonation, and he missed a few chords. He wasn’t sure if he was playing the same tune he’d been showing Reims last week, they all sort of blended together.
All he knew was that he had to be playing something to channel his magic, and there was a giant serpent right above them.
The Vanguardian shield was holding it up but the pressure of the blast was so immense. He panicked. He didn’t want to risk his friends getting hurt so he summoned his shield, too.
Reims was close but he wasn’t going to stay for long. Dering appreciated the stability his presence gave but he already knew Reims was going to try to leap into action. Amarynthos, too. They were just like that.
They were going to do everything they could to stop this thing. He knew he couldn’t hit very hard, so he just wanted to protect them as much as he could.
Reims’ voice had cracked, and Dering knew him well enough to know that he was scared, and probably spending too much energy to focus on Dering falling apart. He was going to be a distraction. He might get his friends hurt. He sucked in a rattle breath and was already dizzy from the force of everything going on around them.
“I can–I’ll hold this for a little bit, if you want to–if you’re going to attack it, I can do this,” he said, and wished very much that he sounded as confident and reassuring as his friends. “But just come back quickly, please!”
Amarynthos glanced at Reims and seemed to be debating for a second before he nodded. “We should. But we’ll be right back. Effie, you want to come with me? I know you don’t want to hurt it,” he said, because he understood. Ephesus still wanted to make friends with it.
Amarynthos didn't think it was possible, but he wanted to have hope, for Ephesus. It just seemed like the only thing that was helping make this thing manageable in any way was bringing it down to size. They still couldn’t even see all of it.
Truthfully, after what he’d seen so far, he really didn’t think something like this could be won over.
…But then, there was a lot he didn’t know. He kept an open mind.
It would just be easier to try and befriend it when it wasn’t still big enough to totally crush them all without even so much as a glance.

“Oh, is that sardonic commentary I hear?” Taenite grinned and batted his eyelashes at Tyndareus. “So serious,” he teased with pursed lips and altered tone.
Sure, it was important to stay focused, but if they weren’t enjoying themselves a little, then why bother doing anything? If there was no joy in what they did, or no benefit to them, then they were simply pawns in the grand scheme of things, and Taenite would never see himself as a pawn.
He caught the tense look Axinite had when the White Moon seemed to unleash their power. Something that would have to be looked into, later.
Since the letter from Almadel basically told them what the berry was for, he retrieved it from subspace and popped it into his mouth.
For now, Taenite quickly followed Axinite’s attack. He could have jumped up to reach the serpent, but instead teleported so he could have more time to focus his magic. Whirling fire erupted below the beast’s underbelly.
Page 8, Page 22, Page 31, Page 49 Location: H9 Action: With Laon and the DMC. Attacking with bonus. Total: 5 + 5 + 10 (Almadel’s Pin bonus) HP: 125 - 35 = 90
Arawn gritted his teeth, jumping back in alarm when the huge arrow from the Mirrorspace ballista shot out of the mirror coated scale that had fallen closeby. Well, that was good, then. At least they were able to keep the giant creature from flying off before they had a good chance to fight it.
He didn’t see Laon or his reaction since he was so close, but he did see that other guy with the dark hair (Hybris) turn into that Negaverse Queen?
A look of distaste crossed Arawn’s features, and then scoffed because of anyone the other Dark Mirror Senshi would imitate, why her?
Probably to wear that dress.
“Hey, we should probably attack, too,” he said to Laon, pulling back just enough to get his attention. “I’ll be right back, okay?” he promised. He didn’t want to leave Laon there, but he would be right back! And if Laon felt too ill to do anything, then that was fine. Remarque would watch him.
He pulled away just long enough to attack while they could.
Jet’s eyes seemed to narrow as he watched the attack on the Calamitous Hollow, though whether in concern or due to the bright light from the Moon’s energy remained undetermined. He didn’t have time to dwell on the great weapons apparently in the possession of the Dark Mirror Court and the White Moon, but his thoughts were already beginning to turn.
He braced himself as the serpent came crashing down onto the shield, tethered by that great chain. The sixth spike--
Ah, so it must have gotten stuck in the serpent’s tail when it escaped. Jet clicked his tongue, but forced back his irritation now that no longer mattered. They had what they needed now.
Jet was itching to do something. He didn’t want to leave Aquamarine to suffer through whatever he was experiencing by himself, but he desperately wanted to join the Queen and General Sovereigns as they dealt devastating blows to the creature, breaking down its scales.
Only when Aquamarine seemed to collect his wits did Jet step forward.
He thought he’d been extremely good at holding himself back until now. If anyone questioned whether or not he cared that Aquamarine was the one giving the orders, the answer should have been clear by the brightness of his grin. Jet visibly held back an amused chuckle.
“Yes, Sir,” he teased. “You heard him,” he gestured to the serpent, but cast a relieved look back at Seraphinite. “Let me know if I need to find you a mic,” he offered with a thumbs up in Ashanite’s direction--
Then he teleported.
Jet didn’t summon his weapon until he was already in the air. He swung and brought the huge black blade of his glaive down against one of the serpent’s scales, shattering it on impact.
‘Alright, alright. You won’t get my help, then,’ he thought back to Aquamarine as he teleported back to the ground, already working out where he wanted to attack next.
Reidite rolled his eyes at the show Aquamarine was putting on. He was obviously injured. Stubborn, just like the General King. Still, Reidite could respect the man’s resolve to handle things by himself. If it were him, he would absolutely choose to take on whatever pain was necessary so that Misha wouldn’t have to.
He kept his tablet open, recording even as he teleported up to where the serpent was being struck, and swung his weapon at whatever part of the underbelly he could reach.
The attack from what he could only assume was the White Moon, though… That was a little concerning. He didn’t think the White Moon would have that kind of power. Not as strong as the Negaverse, of course. But once everything was over, he would have to offer the data he collected so they could see what they can do to prevent such a weapon being turned on them.
Character Name, Rank, and a link to their journal[KNIGHT]Jelani Myers//Howick, Page of the moon. Location: E5 Action: Howick attacks the Calamitous Hollow, dealing 2 damage. Total: 2 HP: 100
The sky split.
For one breathtaking second, Howick forgot to breathe entirely.
The arrow of mirrored glass had fired with such force that her ears still rang, and the silver chain that followed shimmered like starlight as it tethered the monster in place. The Calamitous Hollow writhed above them, impossibly huge and ancient, and then—
Moonlight. A beam of it, pure and iridescent, tore through the clouds.
Howick’s mouth parted in awe as she watched the light pierce through the Hollow’s coiling form. It seemed to freeze in place, suspended like a marionette with its strings suddenly yanked taut. Its body crackled, warped, bubbled—and then it fell.
The impact rattled her down to her teeth. The Vanguardian shield held, but the electric backlash struck everyone inside it like lightning made flesh. It knocked her to one knee with a gasp, her fingers curling into the dirt. Her body ached. Her hair, wild as it already was, sparked faintly with static.
But the monster was down. Wounded. And they were still alive.
Just barely.
She staggered to her feet, adrenaline burning away the lingering pain. Somewhere beside her, Lysanna was already moving—focused, calm, issuing orders through her Comtech. Howick turned toward her, still a little shaky, but steadier with every step.
“Velencians,” she repeated, catching the name Lysanna had given. It tasted strange on her tongue, but there was strength in it. Like the sound of a people who didn’t back down. “I’d like that. To meet them.”
She fell into step beside the cadet, her boots crunching over shattered bits of crystal and debris. Her hourglass pendant bounced with every stride, a comforting rhythm despite the chaos that still lingered around them.
“If this thing gets back up again…” she began, her voice low but steady, “I don’t have magic yet, but—if someone needs cover, or a distraction… I can do that.”
A pause. Then, softer:
“I’m not going to just stand around.”
She looked up again at the Hollow’s massive form slumped against the shield, still twitching, still dangerous. “We all came here to protect something,” she said, more to herself than anyone else. “I think that still counts for something.”
ybele’s voice cut through the noise, and Howick turned her attention to the other woman. Cybele, despite the chaos and the raw power of Chaos clawing at her starseed, was steady, sharp as ever. Her words stirred something in Howick—a reminder that even in her current state, she could contribute.
"Unfortunately, I don't have much to offer in terms of magic yet," Howick said, her voice steady even as the tension gripped her chest. "But if there’s any way I can assist, I’ll do whatever I can. I’m still learning… but I can help with what I have."
Howick glanced up at the monstrous beast again, her eyes scanning for any openings. She didn’t know how to bring it down, but maybe she could find a way to help Cybele get the shot she needed. "How can I help with getting you that shot?" she asked, her gaze sharp with determination.
She wasn’t a knight yet, not even close, but she knew that the key to victory lay in fighting together. She could feel that, even if her powers were still growing. "I’ll make sure I stay out of your way, but I’m ready to assist however I can."

Oia looked around the location she was at there were a lot of chaos members not that they were all evil but considering the queen at let out energy that was painful she didn't think they were good either. She had her eyes focused on the Hallow and using her rabbit cane to attack with her magic. She wanted this mess done with. She knew this was a battle for the fate of the world so it mattered to them all chaos and order alike. She touched the pin on her outfit. She grinned, hoping that together this would be enough to end this battle.
Character Name, Rank, and a link to their journal: Guardian Cat. Xamira Location: F7 Action: Xamira attempts to strike the Calamitous Hollow but her attack is weak, dealing only 2 damage. Her magic isn't as potent as she'd hoped, but she remains determined and ready to continue fighting. Total: 2 HP: 100
Xamira’s small, feline form darted through the chaos of the battlefield, her eyes narrowed and focused on the Calamitous Hollow. Despite her natural agility, she felt the raw force of the storm, the storm of Chaos energy that had begun to ripple through her senses. She wasn’t unfamiliar with the sensation, but it never failed to gnaw at her. Still, she couldn’t afford to lose focus. The Calamitous Hollow was too dangerous, and the others were depending on everyone’s efforts.
Leaping forward with a swift, fluid motion, Xamira hurled herself toward the beast, her claws outstretched in an attempt to make contact. However, with her form still in its Guardian Cat state, she lacked the magical prowess that would have otherwise made her attack more potent. Her strike, though delivered with all the force her small body could muster, barely grazed the massive creature.
The hit was light—almost insignificant. She winced internally but quickly steadied herself, realizing that her current form wouldn't be enough to make a major difference in this battle. Still, she wasn’t going to retreat. If her claws were all she had for now, she’d make sure they counted.
"Keep pushing," she muttered to herself, then fixed her gaze back on the Hollow, ready for the next move.

Character Name, Rank, and a link to their journalLacaille super senshi of books Location: I4 Action: Eating the berry Total: HP: 105
Lacaille moved into the area near the space she was standing in alone and she went towards a knight she had met before Oia, She looked nervously at the negaverse people standing in this area. That didn't give her warm fuzzy feelings.she ate the berry that the merchant had given them. She sighed as she looked at the monster this fight was not an easy one to handle. She watched as Oia attacked the Hallow. This was very worrisome.
Ephesus yelped with surprise when the arrow shot out of one of the shiny scales. What was that? He’d never seen anything like that before. He knew it looked really shiny like mirrors, but… he wasn’t entirely sure how that was possible. He was grateful! But a little surprised.
The beam of moonlight was much more welcoming, since he knew that was coming. They’d all given their energy for the Moon Queen to do whatever she could. And it was a full moon from Earth that night.
Dering was so quick to think. He had the shield over them, so even though Ephesus huddled close to Amarynthos, it wasn’t as bad as he’d expected it to be.
But he did hesitate. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to attack it with them. It could have just been hurt and that was why it was upset. But, like in Devyn’s story about the creature on Alastor, once it was tired out, maybe it would be easier to reason with.
“I’m coming,” he decided, reaching out to give Dering’s shoulder a little squeeze of reassurance, before rushing over to help Amarynthos and Reims. His own magic didn’t do much in terms of damage, but his summon could. So that was what he used.
Reims instinctively ducked down, putting an arm over Dering’s head when the huge body of the serpent crashed into the shield. It was still so massive that they couldn’t see all of it. But he knew he didn’t want to get anywhere near its giant talons.
“Fuuuuuuuck,” he hissed again, but patted Dering’s back in encouragement. Thanks to him, the electricity that ripped through everything wasn’t as devastating.
Dering knew him well, and of course Reims was going to want to attack the serpent while he could. But he also knew that Ephesus had some weird hangup over hurting things. It wasn’t like they were hurting anything innocent! This thing was literally trying to eat their world!
“Yeah, I’ll be right back,” he promised. He waited just long enough to see if Amarynthos was following, before taking off to get a good running jump. The sword sliced through the air but--
He caught a glimpse of someone in reds and pinks. A hat full of flowers…
“Is that Yvoire?” he asked the others in surprise once his feet touched the ground once more. He wasn’t sure-- should they run over to meet up with him, or were his eyes playing tricks on him?
Page 21, Page 33, Page 51 Location: D4 > D6 Action: With Adria, looking for their friends. Attacking. Total: 2 + 10 HP: 150 - 35 = 115
A flare was a good idea, and she nodded to make sure Adria knew that she agreed. It might have been difficult to recognize with all the things being blasted at the serpent, but since surely his brother (Michel) and Malus and Lysithea would know what Adria’s magic looked like, it would be easier for them to recognize it.
To help out, she hoped that using her magic to pummel it with snow would also alert their friends to their location. Not quite as effective as a brilliantly colored sunset, but hopefully enough.
She was proud of Adria, and wished he could see how much he’d grown. Not so long ago, he would have shied away from sharing the books that he wrote. Now? He was planning for the future and wanting her to read them. So yes, of course they would make it through this. And they would meet up with their friends and family and save the earth.
“Snakes?” Connie squeaked, and then looked up at the sky above them. Oh right, they did have a big snake to deal with.
“Well, I mean, maybe that snake I’m afraid of!” she sputtered helplessly because, well, weren’t they supposed to be afraid of something like that?? It was massive! Definitely a world eater. Oh, that wouldn’t do. She liked being on Earth too much.
Oh, but Belmont thought it was a good idea to hit it. It seemed like hitting it with those energy blasts and that giant arrow helped make it smaller. She didn’t like how she felt as though everything was electrified and the wind knocked out of her. She couldn't help but wonder if Belmont felt the same.
“Okay! Let’s go hit the snake!” she decided. She didn’t know what she could do with her own magic, but once Belmont was channeling his own magic, she did the same with hers.
Okay. Tyndareus honestly wasn't sure how he was staying so... calm. Even given his personal history, this was... unprecedented and intimidating. And yet, he was standing tall, assessing what he could do, and readying himself to attack.
How strange. He thanked his lucky stars that he seemed to be managing fine, though. Good at crises, he supposed. He needed this to go well. Earth was where all his stuff was, after all.
Taenite's little jab made his lips twitch, though he'd never admit it, and simply inclined his head in acknowledgement to his superior as he focused on his magic and getting up to the damn thing. Axinite's show of raw power with his hammer sent a nice little jolt through him—oh, that was excellent.
He called on his magic, for the first time ever. It felt so strange. But he reveled in the thrill of it as he stared at the Calamitous Hollow. Work. Die.
Arsenolite whooped when the scale fell off, and then the Hollow fell. He scrambled for safety, taking several seconds to catch his breath, before going back up with a manic grin and drawing his bow. Shooting it from too short a distance would mean it wouldn't really get that hurt, but he was in a perfect sweet spot, hopefully.
He loosed an arrow. It burrowed into the side of the creature and his manic grin somehow got even more manic.
Getting one of the scales off the shield came as a great relief to Vesuvianite. He even relaxed a little, as they escaped back beneath the shield to catch their breaths.
Okay. He could do this. The gravity felt different—he didn't have to teleport up this time? Nice. Wielding his sickle, he leapt up and slashed at it with as much viciousness as he could muster.
Transcended Eternal Sailor Kerberos Location: F3 Action: Giving energy to the shield + attacking! Total: 2 + 10 = 12 HP: 150 - 35 - 10 - 10 (accounting for giving this round too!) = 95
For a moment, Kerberos was silenced by awe.
Whatever magic had created that chain--the glimmering mirrors on it gave him an idea--it yanked the Calamitous Hollow in close, and held it in place for a beam of bright, powerful moonlight.
'Thanks, Queen Serenity,' he thought, briefly; there was no denying it, with the moon so large and bright. This was what they had given themselves to, in the Chamber of Prayer. And perhaps their version wasn't as powerful as the Negaverse's. Butt hey had given everything they had, and Kerberos felt a swell of pride in his chest.
Maybe they really could do it. Maybe he'd been right, when he told Jet that the only way they could kill it was with all of them. All of them, the Negaverse, the Dark Mirror, Order, the Vanguard--together, against a monster that threatened their world.
It sucked, bluntly, to know that this would end when they got back to Earth.
But maybe someone would remember, someday. Maybe it would matter.
And yet.
His eyes cut to Andronicus, and his eyes narrowed. He knew, in his heart, that he had to be careful, that he couldn't argue with her too loudly, especially not with a Negaverse Captain (Carnotite) so close.
And yet. It was infuriating to hear someone be so confidently ******** incorrect. So arrogant about having taken a life. So sure of herself and her righteousness.
He wanted to bite back. But not here. Not now. Maybe if there hadn't been someone so close who could overhear...but putting the Vanguard in an even worse position because he was careless and angry wasn't going to help anything.
Amazing. Everything she just said is wrong.
So he hissed between his teeth and turned back to Daesva. He'd b***h about it after; Muri would probably enjoy the play-by-play, anyway, since he was undoubtedly busy with the spike.
"Please. Keep pulling." The shield held, for now. But if that thing crashed through it, came down on them...whatever he could do to mitigate it, he would. "In the meantime...."
"Thousand Asphodel Chorus." He swept his scarred arm up towards the sky, and a whirl of asphodel petals spun into the air, striking at the creature above them.
He was one small person, he knew. Only so much against a monster so great. But he could do this.
Aliez got a smile and a nod; a little bit of thanks for giving all of them a little extra protection. And Oberon--he'd been responsible for saving Caedus before; that was hardly something Kerberos could hold against him, and here he was, helping now.
"Whatever we can all do," he said. Part of him wanted to offer Daedalus's aid--but then, this looked beyond the type of technology he'd seen the Senshi fiddling with before, and he didn't want to insult the pride of the people before him. "None of us could ever have done this alone."
Quote:
Additional Attack: Thousand Asphodel Chorus! Kerberos speaks the name of his attack, and sweeps an arm in front of him. Trailing after his palm, asphodel petals burst out and explode at a radius of 8 feet around Kerberos. The petals will only damage enemies; for allies, they are harmless and pretty. They behave like thin knives, creating a sensation of mild to moderate cuts, and can leave behind actual damage at player discretion. In addition, anyone struck by them will feel a sensation of grief and hopelessness that lasts for 30 seconds. Kerberos can use this attack twice per battle.
