Ako stuck close to Kaga, always within arms reach as they made their way over to Aquamarine. Despite staying close, her eyes swept the area, keeping an eye out for Melpomene as she moved. If anything happened to him, she would never forgive herself, and she doubted Chal would either.
Before they made it all the way to Aqua, however, Ako took Akaganeite by the hand and paused. "Kaga..." She hesitated, then shook her head as a smile softened her features, stepping closer so only Kaga could hear her. "Ei. I love you." Her hand trembled slightly as she squeezed Kaga's, finally saying what she had been dancing around for a while.
Heliodor, Corrupt Eternal Senshi of Ryuuto Meta Posting Log Location:D2 to A4 Action: With everyone on D2, connecting mentally with the Calamitous Hollow following an old tie to i and getting feelings/visionst, reporting to Hessonite, moving to A4 to report to Faustite when summoned.
Litharge and Albite had joined him. Helio flashed both men a smile, even if strained considering the situation. “We can keep an eye on them from here.” He remarked. “We’re not too far away.” In actuality it wasn’t a bad idea to set up a sort of perimeter. Plus, spreading the team up a bit guaranteed that is something happened to one area, the entire team wasn’t hit at once.
Poor Albite looked strained already being seperated from Faustite. To be honest, the purple-haired corrupt was surprised to find Faustite’s husband with him and not with Faustite. Helio thought for sure Albite would have stuck to Faustite like a leech.
The jealous side of the corrupt was soothed for the dread-haired senshi’s choice.
Something surged. Helio’s gazed ripped away from Litharge and Albite to the sky above where their target moved with incredible speed through the clouds.
Energy grew and Helio couldn’t not turn his full focus upon the woman who lead such a ferocious group of people, fueled by Metallia’s power and will. Queen Laurelite was, to put it in simple terms, stunning. She faced the Calamitious Hollow down with poise and power that sent a shiver down Helio’s spine. An awe awakened in him at her display of power, even with it’s gnawing, heavy power that teetered on the side of wrong. But he didn’t care.
The energy built, his Queen’s arms opened and a blast rocked into the Calamitous Hollow. Helio sucked in a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding as the creature reacted to the blow.
But kept it’s continuous movement through the sky. It may not have stopped fully. It’s threat may still be there, but it wasn’t completely unphased.
Scales fell from it like boulders. Most disappeared on instack. Breaking into tiny pieces. And…Wait…did those piece ricochet back? It was hard to keep track of it all, especially when one of the scale landed precariously close to him and hadn’t shattere don impact, but instead threatened to cave the shield. But…he was fairly certain there had been a reaction to the scale pieces hitting the Calamitous Hollow.
Helio wondered, vaguely, if the creature was truly feeling any pain.
That thought was like a small hook the grasped onto a corner of his mind that had once connected him to the creature back in the prison. It was a familiar link to follow once he found it, but diving into that corner of his mind and the connection with the Calamitous Hollow was so, so much different this time.
Before, it had felt, well…not small per say, but certainly not the cavernous, expansive sensation he got now. He felt like a speck in a void. A grain of sand in an expansive dessert with an electrical storm rolling over head with all of the flashing of electricity. Easily overwhelmed and lost.
Helio instinctually reached out and grabbed hold of whoever was close by. Albite’s shoulder was squeezed as Helio remained fixated on that vision with the serpent above.
Another flash. With that feeling of being miniscule in comparison Helio could tell the creature was so much more dangerous than before. He could also feel a consuming hunger. A rage he’d never experienced before. There wasn’t one iota of fear to be found.
A flash of lightning. A vision filled his mind and his head jerked at the realization of what he was seeing. The Earth, with the moon in the distance and the sun hidden behind the planet’s expanse. It was so close, their home planet. Helio could see the shape of the seas, continents, and the swirling of clouds.
Was this what the Calamitous Hollow was seeing? It was close. too close to Earth.
”Gods, it’s so close to Earth.” He murmured as the vision finally faded.
He stood straight again, no longer clutching to Albite and turned his attention to Hessonite. ”My connection with that thing still exists. I reported to Queen Laurelite about how it rooted around in my head when we were pulled to it’s prison a month ago. I just…I saw a vision it’s so close to Earth. We may be running out of time.”
Helio felt the invitational pull from Faustite. ”I am going to let Faustite know as well. But it’s angry and hungry.”
He looked to Litharge and ALbite, expecting they had also felt the pull before following that tug to Faustite’s side.
He wasted no time.
“Faustite. My connection with the Calamitous Hollow is still there. It’s close to Earth, hungry and angry. There wasn’t an ounce of fear either. I am honestly not sure if it even cares if we are down here.”

”Of course!” Magnus almost looked affronted that the boy would think otherwise. Still, the feline didn’t begrudge being picked up again and opted to stay comfortably in the Ascended senshi’s arms this time. Perhaps he’d have a better chance of not being seperated if things went awry again if he was being held onto.
The bag he had brought along was still sitting on the ground. He’d nearly forgotten about it. “Niter. Do you think you can attach those items to my collar now? The bracelet and pin?” The berry he’d tuck away safely into subspace.
No sooner did he ask his request of Niter did their Queen make a move. Magnus watched in awe as energy built around Queen Laurelite. The rush of power and the sheer magnitude of it was nearly soul crushing and being so close Magnus felt every bit of it. Still, it didn’t rock him. While it hurt in a way he hadn’t expected it didn’t do anything beyond that.
Laurelite ascended the spiral platforms like the queen she was. Magnus was thrilled to have a front row seat to the display. And what a display it was! The Calamitous Hollow jerked in response to the incredible attack. The mau’s chest visibly swelled with pride as he puffed himself out.
And then scales fell from the sky and the feline’s attention was dragged to them. A small pink tongue licked his lips as he eyes the glistening items as the closest one rested precariously on the shield overhead.
Location: I7 Action: Following Ilmare (with Saiph and Cuan), joining Solaris's group at the stake, still just barely getting her bearings again…
It was too much.
That thought alone raced through her mind when she felt what seemed like the full weight of Chaos suddenly fall on her. She thought she might get crushed by the sheer force of it, or maybe that she might get turned inside out. Her insides, something deep within her, twisted and turned, writhing in such agony she couldn't quite find the words to describe. But it hurt, and that was all she felt for what seemed an eternity.
It wasn't, thankfully, but she was left a bit dazed in its wake. Dizzy and weak, barely able to keep herself up, but she could still see. Light in the distance, and a familiar face. Once she'd been looking for earlier, before…whatever just happened. It took a few seconds before she again registered Ilmare, the chibi senshi, and the Mauvian…and then the instructions to run. She could barely stand, never mind run, but she felt Ilmare take her hand, and she followed on instinct when she started off.
And she kept up as best she could, struggling but still managing somehow. She passed familiar faces along the way, squinting at them and barely registering their faces…but when she did she quietly hoped for their safety through all of this. She wasn't in a state to tell them to follow–she had almost no idea where they were going, and before she knew it they had already past. It only became clearer as they ran, the more time passed since the sudden, enormous release of pure, sickening Chaos.
Eventually running wasn't as hard, nor was seeing, breathing, or thinking and processing what was going on around them. By the time they joined the group at one of the stakes, she was breathless but didn't feel entirely clueless anymore. And she was relieved to see Solaris there, returning the small smile with one of her own.
"Vouching for her, too," she said first, eyes briefly falling to Saiph and Cuan to make sure they were okay before she turned her attention back to Solaris. "I've got shielding magic," she replied, turning just enough so the others could see the shield currently mounted on her back. "Made for a pretty light show whenever it got hit by lightning with the earlier storms. Not sure how it'll do against this thing, though."

"You know, this wasn't precisely how I wanted to meet everyone." Hissed through clenched teeth and chapped lips, trying not to freeze up as the sky rained down around them before sealing over.
It really wasn't how he meant his introductions to go---
At the end of the world, watching helplessly as those he claimed to love flinched beneath the weight of something he couldn't quite feel. Nikki, her friends (family?). Promethei too!? He was so at awe -- not only of the absolute powerhouse of a cannon -- but of the shields that went up above them, seemingly the only thing that stopped a massive (and did he equate it to a Subaru? A Honda Civic?) scale from nearly crushing them into the ground.
If it'd landed any closer it would've been directly over their heads. As it stood? A little to the left, but still a threat if you asked him.
"I'm sorry-- what thing did you charge on the moon?" He'd caught Nikki's words just barely, and then he felt a tug...
His face paled even more, if such a thing were possible. Amidst the clamor of a new cat bounding in, speaking to someone. All the rest of the world closing in he wondered if something else had gone wrong.

Vanguard Cadet Itztenoch Location:F3 Action: Wary. Proud of Vyn's Aim -- Agreeing to accept energy per Lyndin. Page:32 , 48 Roll:45
He heard Rhysi break off, her voice chiming in over the coms. His eyes glued on the skies, the circle of protection they'd made, nigh shoulder to shoulder, as the Commodore worked with swift, focused, efficiency.
He turned to share a look with Aliez, with Vyn, and Andreiya. A rather terse question on his face as a group of Order piled up around them at a run--- more -- and more -- and he felt the tension in his shoulders, the way he reached for his weapon holstered at his side.
What are we doing about this?
There was obvious danger, the one that lurked in the skies above. The beast that needed defeating at all costs. And then? The less obvious one-- those that approached all smiles and open arms offering 'aid'. Senshi, maus, agents alike. As if they hadn't all played this game together before and been hurt in the midst of it, one and all. As if they wouldn't even need to potentially be here -- now -- if not for the ways those ties had split down the middle.
We wouldn't still be on Earth if not for them aiding Cadeus---
He knew he lacked *details*, that ties were torn, and relations strained. He was sure now as he was then that everyone had their own reasons, and he and his were so deeply out of being in the know that it'd cost them greatly. This was no longer their first day back on the planet though, when all their tasks revolved around sourcing information and making nice.
He nearly sighed, proud of Naeria for being a good emissary -- a diplomat in her own way -- and his shoulders eased by slow degrees as Lyndin spoke with finality. The words didn't feel like orders, but they could've easily been; that there was no outrage over a little friendly fire settled something sour in his guts.
"It was a good shot though--" muttered under his breath to Nessa with no lack of praise, as he took Lyndin's words to heart. If the commodore said they could use the extra energy? And how lucky were those that approached that the shot only seemed to be one of warning instead of something worse. Vyn ha'd been kind in the same ways he was being judgemental of those bearing gifts, with their sad words, and source stones, and things all velvety wrapped that felt like little more than traps to him....

General Prehnite Location:G9 Action: Giving Hatsya Hylonome? one of his daggers. Page:32 , 48 Roll:13
"I've no doubt we can--" he brazenly assured Actaea and the rest of his small cluster, especially in the face of onslaught that tore the skies apart and then filled them over protectively.
This.
This right here was *why* he'd stayed so long, even in spite of his own maladied apathy towards the negaverse at times, his own doubts which had grown and then ebbed with age.
This right here!
A furious showing of power, weapons so massive they could cut a world-serpent down to size. They served ultimately, even in their worst forms, as a protection of the world. Even in spite of all the claims they were simply a parasite upon it. He almost wanted to point it out to Hylonome, to beg her see that even if it hadn't been her own choice to be chaos, to be here? To be anywhere at all.
That there was indeed some good come out of it, strained as things were between them, what she was doing was right.
*Your spare dagger… where is it?* Hatsya's voice breaking through his overloud thoughts; above the din of scales crashing onto fluxing shield, and the buffeted noises of the storm beyond. He almost asked why, the moment brief for how damn near reflexively he pulled them from the ether; hilts forwards, ready for Hatsya to do with as she would. He trusted her judgement, especially in times like this.
He'd dragged them all into this afterall, hadn't he? And though he knew they would be invaluable, it'd be a waste, wouldn't it? To ask any one of them to waste their magic until the time was right.
"It's yours, of course--or are you asking for both of them? I can spare them until I can't." A slight tilt of his head and the barest smile as he glanced from Hatsya over to Sodalite. Unsure of what else would arise, but unwilling to leave anyone truly defenseless. "Sodalite, thankfully, isn't lacking in range or strength if this thing gets close enough....if the shield holds until it drops in size..." He hoped Laurelite had another strike up her sleeve, that one of Orders many Princesses could call down a meteor shower, something that might slow the slithering beast above down just a little more.

She’d expected questions, skepticism as to why she wanted one. But Prehnite summoned his daggers without reservation. Sunstone looked down at the hilts, simple in design, wooden as was his affinity to nature, connected to a serrated edge of a flattened, trowel-shaped blade.
When she looked up, his head was turned, green gaze glancing at the dark-haired Captain beside him.
Perhaps it was the atmospheric pressure messing with her senses or the blanket of Chaotic energy that erupted from their Queen’s magnanimous display of power. Whatever the reason, Sunstone rose up on her toes and placed a light kiss on his cheek. “Just one,” she spoke so softly as her fingers curled carefully around the hilt of one dagger and pulled away.
Unable to meet his gaze, not wanting to see his reaction, she turned her back towards him. Gathering her hair over one shoulder, she used the jagged edge of the blade to free herself of the tangled burden. Sunstone then walked over to Hylonome and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. “Hold on to this,” she offered her Prehnite’s spare weapon, knowing that he’d have given it to her of his own intention if she hadn’t asked for it first. “Use it to defend yourself, he won’t recall it back from you.”
Though she remained unaware of why there was tension between the two, with a heavy heart she made a request, “Please keep them safe.” Not just Sodalite and Acatea, but Prehnite too. Rough around the edges and awkward at times, but his intentions were clear. He shouldered many responsibilities, some given and others self-imposed, but at his core, he did care about each of them.
Xyla - Mauvian (Feline) Location: E6 Action: Genuinely afraid and clinging to Desiree. Will find courage in a moment to at least watch the barrier and warn them if they need to move.
Everything happened in a blink—so much, so fast, Xyla could barely keep up.
She hadn’t meant to recoil when the scales came crashing down like meteorites, or when the dome exploded around them in a protective shield, or when their Queen unleashed power that bent the very air around them. The flinch, the claws, the way she tucked her face beneath Desiree’s chin—it all came from instinct, not intent.
Even as a feline of considerable size by domestic standards, she felt laughably small here. In a place ruled by titans and forces beyond comprehension, she was just something soft underfoot, easily overlooked, stepped on, or worse—left behind. And while the weight of being someone’s responsibility gnawed at her pride, she didn’t want to be let go. The ground no longer felt safe, and her small frame pressed tighter to the one person anchoring her to something steady.
Vesuvianite felt sheer exhilaration as Queen Laurelite strode in, confidence radiating. Oh, if he wasn't pretty much gay, he would've been very attracted to that. The Chaos beam shot out and halved the size of the godawful monster they had to fight, and Vesuvianite began to feel like maybe, just maybe, they could fight and win. They could do it. They could probably save Earth.
Hopefully.
Three scales smashed down on the shield and Vesuvianite held their breath for a long moment, tense and ready. Nothing seemed to happen for a long moment, and they exhaled. Okay. But the shield was turning concave in those places, and that alarmed them greatly. Almost as soon as they had that thought, several other people teleported up to a specific scale on the shield and began trying to throw it off. They, too, decided to join and hauled teleporting a** up there, staggering a bit from the sheer ******** of the air outside the shield. But they gritted their teeth and joined their comrades, bellowing with effort as they lifted.
Aquitania nodded at Totoro's suggestion. "I think we definitely should thank Almadel when this is all over." Turning to Metis and Niflhel, she replied, "Yeah, I'm OK. And I promise to stay away from people like that," she promised, shuddering at the passive feel of Queen Laurelite's aura in her mind, so heavy and acidic, like battery acid, "I'm just not sure how we get through this fi--"
At that moment, she felt Laurelite's energy spike sharply, and the acidic feeling felt like it was seeping into her body, seeping into her soul.
Aquitania looked around, blinking back tears.
Queen Laurelite had just blasted the Calamitous Hollow with an energy that just felt wrong, causing it to shrink and slow.
And for about a dozen of its scales to crash onto the field, one of them not very far from them. Not on them, just uncomfortably close.
Lightning was attempting to form a cage around the Calamitous Hollow, but with one damaged tail fin holding the last spike. That couldn't work. They would need to get the spike out of the tail to seal the Calamitous Hollow away. There was a chance of finishing this desperate act. Not much of a chance, but if someone could get to that spike, then, sure, maybe.
Aquitania turned to Totoro. "Yeah, I'm fine. You?" Turning to Snowball and Niflhel, "Ummm, I don't really know much about probability, but it sounds right that the odds are low that a scale wouldn't fall in the same place twice? But we can run if another scale tries to fall on us." Listening to Realta talk, a thought occurred to her.
None of the six--no, eight, two more people had just arrived, including another chibi, and someone who looked like she might be from the same group as Niflhel--of them were really thinking in this moment, not very well, because they were worried about how they were going to get through this, and wasn't worry a kind of fear? Sure, it was warranted, given everything that was happening, but that didn't mean that people couldn't use a boost of courage.
Coughing awkwardly, she returned her attention to the group. "Ummm, I haven't really tried my magic before, and it might not do very much, but I'd like to give it a shot right now, because I think we could use enough pep to try to figure out and do whatever comes next. Everyone might want to come a little bit closer, I don't know how far the magic will stretch." And deep inside, she listened to what her magic told her to do.
Raising a fist to the sky, a ball of light gleamed in her clenched fist. She pumped it in the air, calling out, "Aquitania Courage BOOST!"
Quote:
Aquitania Courage Boost! Aquitania pumps her fist in the air clutching a small ball of light and calls out this attack, and allies within a 5' radius feel a small boost of courage. The effects last for about 25 seconds. Aberdonia grinned as they made their way over. Even if he wasn't sure about everyone else in the group, it was good to know that the person who seemed to have the spike was Tianyi's friend. That made him feel a lot more secure about his choices. "My magic isn't much for attacking people, but I can at least try to shield your friend from harm. And even if your magic doesn't do very much, I don't think that means it's necessarily useless, I think that just means it's going to take an extra degree of creativity to figure out how to use it."
As the rest of the group arrived, Aberdonia smiled and waved. "I hope it's okay if we join you," he said as they approached.
Muri's spike went in, and the rest of the spikes began to connect with each other, except--
At the far side of the clearly hexagonal area from them. They'd had five spikes. They'd needed six. Where was the sixth spike? Could they even do this without the sixth spi--
At that moment, the heavy, acidic feeling he'd been passively aware of since right before they'd been sucked up into space dialed all the way up to eleven, and he spotted someone suddenly ascend some stairs they'd clearly summoned into the air, launching a massive beam attack at the Calamitous Hollow.
Which caused it to shrink. And shed scales. None of them landed near the group, but the acidic feeling was burrowing toward his heart at an alarming rate, and it felt like it was trying to warp and twist and taint him. Aberdonia shuddered uncomfortably.
Shrapnel bouncing off the shield that it looked like the Vanguard had built hit the Calamitous Hollow again, causing it to shrink further, although no scales rained down on them this time. Hopefully that meant it was a one time thing--
And then he spotted it. The sixth spike.
It was in the Calamitous Hollow's damn tail fin. How were they supposed to get that?!
In the meantime, others were filtering in to offer their help.
Which meant he really should, too.
Aberdonia turned to Murikabushi and the rest of the group, including those arriving to help. "If anything tries to go for you, I'll try to shield you. Same for anyone else here, but since this person has the spike, I'll try to prioritize them a little bit. For anybody who hasn't met me, my name's Aberdonia, Senshi of Papyrus. I can't do much just yet, but I'll try to make sure as many people as possible make it through this night."

Eternal Corrupt Miyamoto Location: Moving to I4 Action: Keeping guard for Benitoite, not feeling so damn dandy either.
While he stood there, silently daring anyone to mess with their little group, he felt an unmistable sway for a moment. It was jarring, as if things had shifted in an odd sort of way, vertigo was the best way to describe it. He knew it meant a migrane was coming on, it was a sign he'd slowly come to reconize as a warning. It wans't j ust that but everything had been slwoly getting too loud for him, which he figured was normal given how many people were around, so it hadn't really set warning bells off in his head to the impending migrane. He figured he'd wind up with one sooner rather than later, possibly even tonight, it was why he'd taken medication before. Dry swallowing a pill was not recommended, it was not easy task, but it seemed the pill was doing nothing to help him.
Cursing softly he held strong, it was too soon for the other pill he had in subspace, he had to holdon and hope he could ride it out...that it didn't get worse before he could take that other pill and give it time to kick in. Right now his partner was checking on his cousin, kneeling at the blond generals side, and he wasn't going to bother him right now. He would alert him though, it was the smart thing to do, though he didn't want to panic or distract the Stitchite more than needed. Keeping focused on the goal was more important really, he was just hoping he didn't wind up vomiting somewhere, if he could hold on and keep himself as calm and centered as possible he'd be ok...he hoped.
That in mind he tapped into the frost magic he had and let his chilly hands come to rest on his temples where they gently massaged in order to try and ward off what he knew was going to come. He could push it back possibly, ease things for now, any time he could buy himself was good. He'd come prepared...and actually, thinking on that, he pulled the loop headset from subspace that he had and pushed them into his ears. Much better!

Eternal Sailor Alastor Location: C8 Action: Standing between Laurelite and Sessrumnir/Ganymede
When Sessrumnir moved, Alastor moved. Sessrumnir had Ganymede to wrangle, if such a thing were possible, and he didn’t need the added issue of trying to hold her back and monitor Laurelite.
So, Alastor became a barrier between them. He didn’t turn his back to Laurelite, he was smarter than that, but he could be a little bit of a buffer so Sessrumnir could reel Ganymede back in without worrying about lowering his guard so close to Laurelite.
Especially after that display.
Alastor’s skin was still crawling but he suspected, with a beacon like that, the boys would be watching. They’d have been keeping their eyes on this area anyway, but maybe now more than ever. He didn’t want them to see that they didn’t have things under control. He didn’t want them to see that he was still trying to process whatever Laurelite had just unleashed.
There was good in it, sure. It hurt the Calamitous Hollow.
He just didn’t want to think about if something like that was ever turned on them.
His heart was pounding but he looked no more stressed than he had at any point earlier than now. He didn’t hide that from Sessrumnir, because he really was doing his best to stay honest and stop burying everything he thought too miserable to make anyone else deal with.
As Alastor had moved closer to Laurelite, not by much and only to be one extra roadblock between her and Ganymede, Lucien moved with him. He trusted the Mauvian on his shoulders to know where to best position himself, but he made sure he had space to jump off if needed; he didn’t want Laurelite to get him, either.
Nectaris colliding bodily with him and then squeezing him into a tight hug helped ground Emain Ablach, helped him keep his mind on the here and the now, rather than on the then. Rather than on the whispers of a promise he could still hear in the back of his mind, a promise of more power than he could dream of. Anything he could dream, he could do, all he'd have to do is apologize and–
No, no.
General Ransomite had a nice ring to it, didn't it?
No.
He returned the squeeze Nectaris gave him, grounding himself once more. "Yeah, I hope so." Hope. He still had that. And he had the others, something the Negaverse had tried on multiple occasions to take from him. No matter how much power and prestige the Negaverse offered, to take it would be to betray those closest to him. There was a reason he'd left. He just had to remember that.

There was a rapid building of pride inside him. The helplessness that he’d felt when first pulled into the prison had all but dissipated now that the Queen was unleashing the build up of all their collected energy. A direct impact from the weapon that had been developed to target Worlds and Wonders, now being used to protect Earth against enemy threats.
Jet watched in wonder and awe. Although he was very aware of the power of Metallia, this was more extraordinary than even he could have imagined. The excitement, he knew, was shared through the earring with Aquamarine. The manner in which the Queen handled everything with such poise and grace was truly inspiring. It filled Jet with glee.
He readied his hand to call his weapon as the scales crashed down, determined to block any threat. But he didn’t have to. Jet wondered if the device Lyndin had now was the same one Jet had seen him working on in the Dark Kingdom.
Three scales remained, but they were further away.
Aquamarine felt further away, too.
‘You’re being surprisingly reserved,’ he thought, but he didn’t do more than glance in Aquamarine’s direction as Aquamarine managed the spike. Trepidation coiled around Jet’s thoughts, but his expression remained determined. Maybe there was a bit of a maniacal glint in his eyes at how much power the Negaverse had been able to show off.
If he focused on what he could hear of Aquamarine’s thoughts, there was --
Nothing. Just a steady resistance.
‘How can I help?’
He didn’t want to draw attention to Aquamarine. If he needed help, he would have said something. Aquamarine was known for dramatics, for making a show for attention, especially if it meant distracting Jet from making poor decisions.
But now? All he could sense from Aquamarine was determination. And exhaustion.
‘I don’t suppose I should join them on the dome to get rid of those scales--’
He wouldn’t leave Aquamarine’s side. Not unless it was necessary.
