Hobbies: Antiquing -- Kaelan is learning how to have an eye for anything that might be valuable. He likes the
idea of having neat, beautiful things, but he likes the idea of making money off of that even more. He doesn’t need luxury as much as he needs to eat. He likes to learn about the history of objects as much as the methods they were created. If he had the chance to travel, he’d love to visit historical places, but for now he can admire what’s around him in Destiny City. Museums are neat, but he likes visiting thrift stores and yard sales and seeing what he can dig up.
Fantasy -- Kaelan very much likes the idea of a fantasy world where he can just escape the trouble and hardships of everyday life. He likes to read, he likes to write. If he had more confidence and more friends, he thinks tabletop gaming would be amazing. He is attracted to fantasy in any media, and likes to introduce himself to new stories and ideas. He is still learning how to best express his creativity, but he likes all things fantasy and hopes to have the chance to explore that.
Virtues: Loyal -- Once Kaelan attaches himself to someone, they have his absolute loyalty. He does his best to be as unobtrusive and supportive as possible, and puts his heart into keeping his friends happy. If someone is willing to give them a chance, he dedicates everything he can to trying to make them proud. His loyalties are almost impossible to sway, for better or worse, and he would never turn against or try to hurt someone he cared about.
Considerate -- Though Kaelan is more comfortable keeping to himself, he always minds his manners and treats others with respect. He doesn’t like to create waves and tends to go out of his way to keep his head down. He is naturally a people pleaser and works very hard for basic acceptance. He is typically polite and courteous to others, and he thinks about how his words and actions affect those around him.
Resilient -- Kaelan doesn’t know how to give up, even if he sometimes feels like he’s setting himself up for disappointment. He has aspirations for greater things but his defeatist mentality prevents him from completely applying himself, so instead he sets smaller goals and works hard to meet them. He tries to be encouraging and hopeful and even when life beats him down he is still trying to push forward. He
wants to be the best version of himself, and sometimes all he can do is hold out and keep trying.
Flaws: Guarded -- Kaelan has a difficult time opening up, and while he can go through the motions of basic pleasantries, his heart is rarely in it. He tends to be introverted and dislikes being around large groups of people or strangers. He is very secretive about himself and his private life, and can sometimes seem insincere in conversations to avoid talking about anything personal. He is shy and has a hard time making new friends, and typically expects some sort of hardship to come of most interactions.
Poor Self Esteem -- Kaelan is unnecessarily hard on himself and gives himself a lot of stress by constantly criticizing his abilities and lack of progress in his life. He has something of a defeatist personality and is always preparing himself for failure, so he is regularly worn down and fixates on his flaws and how things can go wrong. He wastes a lot of time overthinking things and convinces himself he needs to be working to improve himself. He is overly critical and nitpicky and compares himself to others frequently. He needs constant reassurance and approval and can sometimes come across as desperate.
Emotional -- Emotions run
deep in Kaelan, and he is in a constant struggle to keep them in check. He can be very sensitive and being on edge can tip him over. He can be flighty or mopey, and is sometimes a complete mood killer. It can be impossible to predict when he will be too high strung to focus, and he can easily misunderstand things and get too lost in his emotions to correct things. He often makes himself sick with worry and he does not have particularly healthy emotional regulation but he doesn’t show any sign of improving this and gets defensive when it’s brought up.
