Hobbies:Swimming~ There is something very relaxing about swimming. You can just decide to float around, swim at a relaxed pace, or if you wanted to you could also push yourself and see how fast or far you can go. Either way Hux enjoys just being in the water and will make regular tips tot he the pool when there is nice weather out, or even when it is cold if it is an indoors heated pool.
Reading~ For as long as he can remember, stories have interested him. The best part of bed time when he was little was the book read before he had to sleep and once he was able to read on his own he could be found throughout the day with his head buried in a book. This love of stories both fiction and non lead him to aim for a literary degree when he was in school and eventually to him going after his Masters along with the necessary courses to allow him to teach.
Writing~ Thanks to all of the books he has read, he has an active imagination and in turn likes to create his own stories. It started when he was in sixth grade with short stories and continued on through the years with actual novel length ones. Though he has so far only let a handful of people read the stories he creates, he eventually plans to publishing a few.
Baking~ It was always something his mother enjoyed so he liked to watch her do it and when he was eight he joined in. He found it fun to do, very rewarding and delicious when it was completed. It's not unusual to find him picking a few days out of the week to bake something whether it happens to be cookies, bread, cakes, pies, and anything in between. He does however tend to make more then can be eaten in between baking days so happily shares the wealth with others.
Virtues:Is an actual teddy bear~ He may appear intimidating to some with his size but he will greet you with a smile on his face and a hug even when he doesn't know you. Hux prefers to be personal and friendly when dealing with people, no matter their own disposition in return. Having a bad day? Hux will sit you down, listen to your troubles, offer advice if possible, and give all the hugs and goodies it takes to make you feel better.
Creative~ He has a very strong imagination, something he puts to use in not only the creation of his books but also in ways to solve problems, or ways to get people involved with an activity that everyone will enjoy. He enjoys finding new and exciting ways to teach others something so it's not unusual for him to use an activity to get a point across of to help someone memorize something.
Slow to anger~ It takes a lot for this man to reach his boiling point and I mean a lot. If situations keep piling up, depending on how big or small they are determines how fast the build up, and he doesn't get a chance to unwind after a good while then he might raise his voice a slight bit but even that doesn't last very long. If his order is messed up then he might get a little annoyed but rather then getting angry about it he will just fix it and talk to the person who did it for an example. The only sure fire way to tick him off completely would be if one of his important people were killed or extremely hurt in some way.
Flaws:Procrastinator~ Hux has a bad habit of putting off things until the last minute unless deemed fun in some way, extremely important and/or life threatening. If it's not messy then why clean it until it is? If it's not due soon why work on it now? He doesn't miss deadlines but don't expect him to be early for anything when he could be sleeping or just plain doing something more interesting.
Overly Organized~ While not quite as bad as OCD, Hux is bothered if things aren't arranged in certain ways or are just plain left messy. Everything has a place for it and if it is moved out of place then it needs to be put back as quickly as possible provided it's not in use. Part of this might have cropped up because if things are where they are meant to be then he doesn't have to worry about them and can be as lazy as he wanted when it came to chores but over time it's grown to be more then just a habit. The good thing is, he can't stand mess so roommate wise he's good from that perspective, the bad thing is he might just move all of your furniture or rearrange your kitchen to his preferences.
No personal space boundaries~ Hugs are for everyone. As are half hugs, hands on shoulders, leaning over shoulders to look at something, and much more. It's not sexual in anyway, Hux just doesn't see why anyone would keep their distance even from new people.
QuirkSleeps anywhere at anytime~ When he was younger he was constantly finding some way to stay active and that lead to him getting worn out and tired fast. At some point he started to fall asleep in odd places at odd times to balance it all out and it stuck. It's not unusual to find him napping at random times during the day depending on just how active he had been already. While he wouldn't nap during class or during some kind of event, between times are fair game.
