He'd only been a Captain for a few days so it was understandable that Cuprite wasn't fully used to the power up just yet. Once again having to get used to a new strength level and speed wasn't terribly hard, though having a weapon that can deal serious damage if used correctly had him nervous.
Right now wasn't about those issues however, instead he was standing there with his cousin by his side in one of the training rooms within the Dark Kingdom while Benitoite explained how to teleport. He had only been teleported by others before and couldn't have even tried before he became a Captain. To be completely honest he had been looking forward to teleporting ever since his promotion, for a few reasons, so he has his full attention on the smaller man for any instructions or tips.

At least his cousin was on board for the teleporting that came with being a Captain, a prmotion he was proud his cousin had come into recently. He was certain his cousin wasn't so confident, and maybe not even happy with, the new weapon. His cousin could, and would, fight when he had to but he wasn't as ready to jump into a fight as Benitoite was. The petite blond was more than happy to draw blood and create a few bodies if need be, his weapon did well in helping him acomplish such things.
"It's a lot of fpcus at first, to envision where you want to go. It can only be somewhere you've been and the further away - the more draining it is." That would change, at least somewhat, once he hit General but for now it would be taxing. When he got used to it...not as much. "Keep an energy orb or two on you incase. You might need it in a battle." Because he might need to teleport in battle. The smaller of the two blonds tended to use his teleporting ability as a weapon when in a fight, teleporting to reposistion in order to attack from a better place. He didn't use it as much to avoid attacks, or to flee a fight.
"Focus, even close your eyes if you need to. Think and focus...think of leaving where you are. Think of how to get there..."

If he was being honest, Cuprite had been thinking about taking some boxing lessons during the summer break since his weapon had been a glove. However now he had two gloves that had short but very sharp claws attached and he was very quickly rethinking the lessons. Chaos he may be, willing to take energy for his cousin he may be, but just the thought of using his weapons to hurt someone had his stomach in knots, though he knew it would happen at some point one way or another. But for now it was time to focus on a utility he didn't mind at all.
Cuprite listened attentively when Benitoite spoke up, nodding in a few places as he put the General's words to memory. "I'll be sure to do that then. How much practice do you figure would be needed to get used to the energy drain? Or is it different per person?" He figured it was the second but even just an estimate would help him know how much time he might be setting aside the next while to practice. Once he had an answer to that question, Cuprite fully planned on starting the practical part of this instruction.

"I assume it's different for everyone, some people deal better with feeling tired and rained, it also differs with how far someone is teleporting so each time will differ due to that as well." Though he didn't have proof, how could he? He hadn't gone around asking everyone and how could he compare peoples opinions to each other? Everyone might answer a certain way but their answers were based on their opinion and what scale they measured things one, something which would differ between people.
"You'll know your limits when you teleport enough. You'll also get used to it. It's something I use in a fight as a weapon - I conserve energy. I don't use it to escape a fight...I use it to give me the advantage in a fight." He'd leave on his own two feet more often than not. He tried to only use it when he had to, when using it would help him in a battle the most.
"If I need to pull people out of a place I'll also use it...to help others." Since it wasn't to help himself so much as someone else.

Cuprite just nodded when Benitoite confirmed it was the second option, not surprised. "Makes sense." He would just have to keep practicing until there is a difference then but since it's summer break he had the time with out dipping into anything else important. He gave his cousin a small smile at his mention of using the ability to help extract allies of danger, it was something he had seen before so it wasn't new. Nor was Benitoite using it to attack really. "Guess I'll just have to see what I'm most comfortable using it for in time then."
That being said, it was time to actually get to practicing. His eyes went around the training room before deciding on a spot a few feet away from him. He did end up closing his eyes at first so he could focus on the feeling of the technique to make it familiar to him. A moment later he had successfully teleported, though a few inches off from where he had planned to go first, it wasn't bad for a start. The energy drain was indeed noticeable though even with such a small jump. "Both harder and easier then it looks at the same time."

"Mmm, it is about comfort...but also keeping in mind that you might have to do something you aren't comfortable with becuase it's needed." Like teleporting someone, by force, to him. He'd done that even though it wasn't something he'd normally ever do, and hadn't liked doing, in the hopes it would hel turn the tides of a battle. But his cousin as a Captain wouldn't be doing that.
"You'll get the hang of comfort the more battles you see...and the more you're involved in." Though his cousin was not a fighter he would need to be, this was a war.
"Most things are Hudson. Try again and focus, you'll get better with time." Shrugging a bit. Time, and practice, made a lot of things better. He knew Hudson would get the hang of it in time, he had a good teacher.

He nodded in understanding at the reminder that is was more then just what he was comfortable with. He hadn't meant that he wouldn't use it outside his comfort zone of course, just that he would have to figure out his main use for the power like his his cousin had for his own. After all he wasn't truly comfortable fighting people but he would do his duty as needed.
He turned his attention back to the task at hand and did as the General prompted him to do. This time he kept his eyes open as he focused on the next spot to attempt teleporting to. He focused on the feeling he just had of the technique and tried to picture exactly where he wanted to be. He was still a few inches off from the exact spot but still a few closer then his last attempt so it was already an improvement. Though he felt the drain even more now and figured he could probably only do it a couple more times before he started feeling dizzy. "I'm not sure if it's an energy thing where I'm off on how much to use or if it's a control thing where I'm just a little bit off in imagining where to go." He said, half to Benitoite and half to himself. It might be one of those or it come be both or neither, but it wasn't anything more practice wouldn't fix.

"That I can't answer, since I'm not feeling what you are. Though I'm unsure if it's possible that using too much or too little energy can cause one to be off their target. I'm not enteirly sure you can use less or more energy...." He'd never tried or thought about such a thing in all honesty, and he was an honest person.
Approaching his cousin, slowly, he reached out to place a hand on the older males shoulder. "Once youg et this odwn though it'll be safer for you. If you ever get caught in a situation you cant' get out of...and I'm unavalible, for whatever reason, you can flee if you need to. I'd rather that than you get hurt." He would track down anyone who hurt his cousi nand deal with them; no one would find the body. He knew his cousin wasn't much of a fighter, and he accepted it, though he knew Hudson would also do his duty. Benitoite was not going to let his cousin wind up a knight though...he'd had to choose that night when that item had appeared.
Now he was teaching him how to teleport. He was proud.

"Something I'll have to test out then. Later possibly when I keep practicing." Hux said with a nod after hearing Beni's words. He gave his smaller cousin a smile and a nod. "I'll make sure to practice and get it down so you wont have to worry." Of course he would also get it down for other reasons such as if he needed it to help Benitoite out instead but that was just how the cousins seemed to roll, keeping the other in mind and ready to spring to do anything for the other.
He spent a little bit more time practicing that day before they called it a quits and headed home.
Sleet Tempest Snape Seemed like a good place to wrap up this forgotten rp ^u^
