Leucite had decided that a more hands on class would probably be beneficial to the members of the Training Corps, and so, had informed those on the roster to attend a bit earlier than the last course. This time, he figured he would give them a little bit more time to arrive, since the class was going to be held in the gym of the Training Corps Barracks. He'd set the start time for 6 pm on a Saturday, a day when most people had off. So he was hopeful that there would be less late comers than last time. Then again, late comers would make lovely volunteers for certain techniques that training dummies could only somewhat simulate.

He had wheeled in a portable whiteboard and a table. On the table were examples of various and sundry medical supplies. A bag rested under the table near Lecuite's feet, presumably holding more of the same.

The whiteboard contained the following information.

Tonight’s Course: Self Aid and Buddy Care (SABC)
Instructor - General Leucite

Leucite stood next to the table, looking out over the various stations he'd had set up earlier. Each station had a training dummy that had a note attached containing an example of their injuries. Leucite had spent several days typing up the various ways he'd seen people injured in their line of work, and he was hopeful that these would assist people in what they may face out in the field.
Each station was also surrounded by a clear plastic sheet, presumably to allow some semblance of isolation for the party working on that station.

Leucite kept his hands behind his back, watching the doorway of the gym as he waited for the Training Corps members to arrive.

Quote:
Class is about to start! If you are unable to post, you can hand-wave your presence or you can have your character have reported to Leucite their inability to attend at that time. You may, if you like, PM Torvil to establish a one-on-one tutoring session with General Leucite, and he will cover the same material covered in the course. As stated earlier, the Training Corps is an entirely optional program, but your character is encouraged to attend as many classes as possible in order to receive the maximum benefit of the program.

This time it was another General who brought her to the meeting, he even escorted her to the doorway before leaving her. General Benitoite had been called by her, unlike the last time where she had found a Captain to bring her. She had sought out the General, remembering seeing him a few times, she was sure that as a General he would make sure she was on time and found her way. He wouldn't want her to be late for a meeting, and he mentioned he would be staying up in his office to do some paper work - call when the meeting was over. He would be bringing her home, she was appreciative of the offer and would be taking him up on it.

Clicking heels announced her arrival as she stepped into the gym, on time, and look less stressed than the last time. There were no apologies, no guilty looks, as there was no need for either tonight. She was here and she was...the first one here? Looking about showed only the General running tonights lesson. Damn, she hadn't been expecting this.

"General Leucite, good evening." Greeting him with a light smile the dark skinned corrupted took a glance about and figured what was going to be happening tonight, though getting closer to look at the cards assured her of her thoughts. This would be good, this was useful knowledge for all of them.

This time Reinerite had managed to find a General willing to teleport her to Negaspace and had once again used the opportunity to first hand in her efforts at energy draining before making her way over to the Training Corps barracks.

As with the previous session she had timed things in order to be slightly early, although as with the previous session she was not the first to arrive.

She gave the pink-haired corrupted senshi (
Valeria) a polite nod, recognising her as one of the two who had arrived late at the previous session, before turning her attention to Leucite, her nod respectful "Good evening Sir, Lieutenant Reinerite reporting for training."

Chrysocolla wasn't late -- of course she wasn't, because she'd been really rather worried about making it on time, and she may have sat around with henshin up until five minutes before the requisite time but that didn't matter she was here now wasn't she.

"G-good evening, General," she greeted Leucite meekly, hands clasped in front of her. She waved to Valeria, too -- it was scary, being a corrupt with nobody to look out for you! Well, that was what Chrysocolla was for.

Calomel could not fight back the scowl she held as she made her way around the Rift. She did NOT want to be here. Her only day off, and she was being forced to attend some training session with a nut job of a general. His blind guidance and unproven faith in their 'mission' caused the white haired woman to just gag in her mind! On the outside she still appeared as calm and cold as she always had been when it came to anything Negaverse related. She did what she had to do to get her pay check, nothing more.

Though the whole session was volunteer, it still felt like she had no choice, having been prodded over and over and over again to go by her peers. Heck, maybe she even wanted to go a little bit herself, if only see if she could 'find some purpose' within the organization.

As asked, she arrived early, but still not enough to be the first one there. That was perfectly fine to her. With notebook in hand, she took a seat in an identical location to where she had before. It was SO hard not to keep scowling at the General who stood at the front of the class.

Lt. Huntite

Huntite walked into the room, eyes scanning the area, the set up, and of course those who had arrived already. While he did know some first aid thanks to his job he wasn't about to turn down a refresher course, especially since it might contain something new or different thanks to the fact that they were part of the Negaverse. He gave a nod in greeting to Leucite and Valeria, them being the only ones he had actual met before, then moved farther into the room.

~*~*~

Lt. Cuprite

Practically all of the first aid Cuprite knew involved swimming in some form or another so when he heard that General Luecite was going to be having a class on it, he made sure that he was already in the Negaverse around the time it was meant to start. He walked into the room and paid more attention to the people then anything else, giving a bright smile. "Good evening." He said to no one in particular, though he had to remember to keep his 'teacher voice' out of the greeting since only a few hours ago he had been leading a class on his own.

Step up for this evening had been far more involved, and at the same time, Stibnite had found herself more standing around watching her General as he made sure everything was as it should be.

It amused her to say the least.

Finally though, it was time for others to begin showing.

"Show time." She chuckled, nodding once to Reinerite

[color-black]Arsenopyrite was annoyed that he was late, though it had been hard to find someone to port him here so it wasn't necessarily his fault that he was so late. This was a class he had really wanted to come to considering that he wanted to become a doctor and anything that was relevant to his profession was something he wanted to check out.

He panted a bit as he ran up to the room and realized that although he wasn't the first there, he also didn't seem to be too late. There weren't many people here at least. He took a few deep breaths before entering the room and looking around. He noticed the agents from the other meeting that General Leucite had given, perhaps he would make some acquaintances tonight?

He had taken his time settling into the barracks, but by the time the notice went out for the next lesson he was more than comfortable with his new situation. It was true that he missed the times in the house with Imara and Mathias, but things had become too crowded, and he felt like an interloper in family affairs.

He entered now, he taking note if those gathered before taking up space in the back of the area. He was never one to draw attention, and this looked like it would be a more hands on sort of class. Great, best to stay back and let others show off. He would learn from mistakes and such, so if nothing else he would know what not to do.

At exactly 6 on the dot, Leucite cleared his throat and looked around the room, taking in the number of people there and doing a bit of mental calculations as to the exact size of the groupings he would need to devise. Then, with a small nod, he crossed his arms across his chest, before speaking loudly to the assembled officers and corrupts alike.

"It is good to see that some of you have learned the importance of being punctual." He said, not singling anyone out specifically, mainly because it wouldn't do in a public setting and more because he wanted to get started with the lesson.

"Today we will be covering Self Aid and Buddy Care. If you think this is going to be like any other First Aid course you've taken... Get rid of those notions now. We are in a war, and the wounds you are likely to receive in combat are far worse than what normal first aid will likely cover."

Uncrossing his arms, he moved to the table, motioning at the first aid supplies atop it. "As you can see, we have a plethora of supplies to help us in situations that might arise, Our enemies are armed with magic that can take on many forms, so it never hurts to be prepared for any eventuality."

Picking up a thick roll of gauze bandages he smirked. "But first, let's make tonight a bit interesting... I am going to split you into two person teams. The team that performs the best on tonight's end of class evaluation will be rewarded a special prize to be showcased later." He said with a slight nod.

"As for teams..." He said, tossing the gauze in his hands. "They will be as follows..."

"Valeria and Chrysocolla, you will be Team 1. Reinerite and Calomel, you will be Team 2. Cuprite and Raspite, you will be Team 3. Huntite and Arsenopyrite, you will be Team 4." Leucite called out, pointing to each member in turn as he called out each name.

"I want each team to send a representative up to the table and gather supplies for their team. No need to rush or push, there is plenty enough to go around!" He said, placing the bandages back on the table before moving behind it, placing his hands behind his back, and waiting for each team to gather their supplies.

Quote:
Looks like class has started! Feel free to work with your partner to figure out who is going to gather supplies. When gathering supplies, generate a random number between 1 and 5.

1: You barely manage to scrounge up enough supplies from the table to be worthwhile, hopefully the stations have extra?
2-4: You gather enough supplies to suffice, provided you aren't thrown any curve balls at any of the stations?
5: You have more than enough supplies to meet your needs, in fact, you could probably give some away if you really wanted to!

Reinerite had returned Stibnite's nod with a polite nod of her own as her face softened into a small smile.

There hadn't been time for any other pleasantries though, as after the last of the class attendees arrived it appeared to be time for class to start and her expression turned serious as
Leucite quickly called class to order.

The topic of this evening's session sounded interesting and her eyes followed almost automatically as he motioned to the medical supplies on the table.

Being split into groups was somewhat surprising, but Reinerite was willing to work with it, recognising the woman that she'd been partnered with as being the person who had sat in the same row as her in the previous session.

The scowl on
Calomel's face as she stepped over to her gave her a little bit of pause, but it didn't stop her from speaking "Good evening Calomel - it looks like we're partners for this session. Did you have any preference for who goes up to gather supplies?"

Although Reinerite was perfectly happy to do so herself if - for whatever the reason - Calomel turned out not to want to.

"I'll let you go up," Chrysocolla demurred to her newfound teammate, anxiety tugging at her smile. "I, um...I actually don't really know a lot about first aid -" this was all said in a hushed tone, her hands wrung - "but there's no way you know less than me, so you'd have a better idea about what to grab, I think."

Valeria had, since arriving, kept her attention focused on what they would be working on. Looking over the dummies and what supplies they had. Her father was a doctor, it was why he had moved to the United States - to practice in bigger and better hospitals with better technology.

When Reinerite had arrived, and nodded to her, Valeria had notced and returned the question as she bobbed her head some. Her lips pulling up into a small smile, pink eyes looking the other over for a moment before returning to inspecting things. This she was interested in - obviously.

Stepping away from things finally she caught sight of Chrysocolla and nodded, smiling even more at the sight of the other - another corrupted like herself. She didn't know many other corrupted senshi, she got the feeling the negaverse didn't have many in fact. It was when she saw Huntite that she went over to greet him, giving him a hug and whispering a greeting to him. He was one person she knew - someone who had helped her. They didn't know each other well, a shame really, but she knew him non the less and he got the biggest greeting. Stepping back when the General called things to start she listened to him.

Oh! She was being paired with the other corrupted wasn't she? Smiling she made her way toward the team haired corrupted and smiled. "It's good to be working with you."

"I don't know too much, I know the basics...my father is a doctor." She whispered to the other and clasped her shoulder gently, to try and assure they other they'd do just fine. "I'll be right back with the supplies." And off she went to collect what they'd need for the lesson. She hoped she could give the other confidence in this, she also hoped she knew enough...maybe it was time to ask her father and just point out how dangerous this city was....

Ah, interesting... Perhaps Calomel would find some sort of use out of tonights session. Not just for the whole Negaverse thing, but also for just regular life. She used to be far better at helping the injured but years of College during the day and Netflix at night made alot of her skills all but vanish.

She had not realized her expression didn't change by the time Reinerite had approached her, and she relaxed as she was greeted. In fact, she smiled just a little bit; for the most part she was a good, kind, if not a little prideful of a woman, but Lecuite and his rambling nonsense from before still bubbled on her skin. Ah well, there was no use on projecting those feelings on this kind looking young woman.

"Good evening, Reinerite. If you would please get the items, that would be great." Her voice lowered a little, whispering behind her hand with a smile. "I'd rather not get too close to the General after the last encounter I had with him. A little bit of a preacher he is."

That's fine! She was still scowling at him!
