If you've been powering up in the last week (which you should have), then you probably noticed your crystal communicator glowing strangely. As you try to puzzle out this strange phenomenon, you realize that your crystal communicator functions like one of those ancient answering machines. When did it start taking messages? You have no idea. It's a secret to everybody. The message plays as follows:
Quote:
"Uh… I have no idea if this is going to work." The boyish voice coughed, muffled.
"Um, hello! If you're listening to this then that means two things: one, that you're a Negaverse officer, and two, that you're invited to a Negaverse party! Pretty cool, right? I mean, we've gone through some hard times and lost some good people, so I think we could all use a little cheering up with a festive party.
"So uh, let me tell you about this party. There's gonna be games, and you can bring your own beer, and it's all Negaverse-only. Like totally Negaverse-only. Like it's in the Rift, so don't even worry about being suspicious of people. And I know this is gonna get to some Lieutenants too, and you guys can't get down there by yourselves, so I've talked some awesome officers into helping you out. If you go down to North Park after ten and find some people playing with a Ouija board on one of the benches, give them the password and they'll teleport you down to the Cathedral and walk you to the Rift! Oh, and the password is 'I'd really like to play some baseball about now'. So yeah.
"Oh, and if you go by yourself, we put up a bunch of signs at the beginning of the Rift so you know where to go.
"There's also gonna be prizes. So, play games, win prizes, and talk to some of your fellow Negaverse agents. Not bad, right? It starts October 30th at 10PM. Don't be late!"

THE SETTING
The party takes place inside an abandoned, crumbling building right outside the entrance to the Hall of Shadows. The place is littered with traditional decorations - jack-o-lanterns near the entrance, skulls in the windows, spider cobwebs all over the walls, severed hands in the candy bowls, and black and orange are the colors of the day. Foods are all Halloween-themed, from cups of mud to spider cupcakes and even some healthier options (which are typical fall foods - like Thanksgiving snuck into the room). Refreshments are made available at small bistro tables in the corners of the rooms.
There are three definitive rooms to the building: The front room holds the foods and provides guest mingling space, The middle room has a couple mostly-destroyed couches arranged to face an old fireplace, and is intended for the infiltration skits; And the back room is where all the BYOB goodies are stored behind a counter. You want to drink? This is the place for you. A porch also exists, which is where officers are testing their strength with the spec ops game.
HEY! LISTEN! When your character enters the party, they can deposit spiders into a giant jar for one of the games. You can pick a number for the amount they deposited. If you do, please keep track of it in case your character is questioned about it later!
But wait! My character isn't 21! Toto, I've a feeling we're not in America anymore! Drinking age laws are enforced by other officers, but youma don't know any better. Drink at your own risk???
THAT IS ALL. Go forth, play, make Negaverse connections!

PARTY GAMES
There are optional games available for characters to play with at the party! Each game is themed toward one of the four branches, and any officer can play any of the games regardless of their branch affiliation. So, your Gen Ops Nega can play a Spec Ops game if they want to! Those that participate will win a raffle ticket with a chance to win a Crown Token! The raffle will be closed for entries on November 5th at 23:59 EST. Rolling will commence after.
SO HERE ARE THE RULES. Players can only get credit for one game. You can have multiple characters and play multiple games, but you'll still only get credit for one game. Characters who participate in a game dedicated to their branch will receive two raffle tickets! Not sure what branch your character is in? Check here! I like cats so definitely don't link me cat gifs this won't do anything for you nope If you have any questions, please ask!
Gen Ops:
Drinking game! Thanks to BYOB a lot of brew wound up in this place, but not all of it looks, uh… palatable. While mingling with other partygoers, any Negaverse character can order a beverage from the less-than-informed party staff. Roll a 1d6 to determine the beverage handed to you.
It’s a normal ale. (1 point) Is this mead? (1 point) It looks and tastes like it was poured out of a youma’s butthole. (Game end) It’s black, and smells like rancid milk, but at least it goes down smooth? (0 points) A glass of water. (0 points, but it helps prevent a hangover) Aww yeah, someone brought ! (1 point) When you roll a game end, please post this at the bottom of your tag!
I finished the drinking game! My total is xx points!
Information:
There's a giant jar of plastic spiders sitting on a table. The burning question of the day is: how many spiders are in the jar? There's a couple ways to find out!
Upon entry, everyone dropped a number of plastic spiders into the jar. Characters are free to ask guests how many they think they put in. There's a measuring tape next to the jar. By measuring, you ascertain that no more than 1000 spiders will fit in the jar. There's a spider youma hanging around, and he says he knows how many spiders were in the jar before the first guest walked in. Maybe you can bribe him?
If you're trying to interact with the spider, please quote Hetzerei and I will provide dialogue!
Once your character has decided to make a guess, please post this at the bottom of your tag!
I solved the eternal question! There are xxxx spiders in the jar!
Infiltration:
A bowl full of folded papers has some great opportunities for Infiltration officers looking to show off their skills! Each piece of paper lists a prompt for reenacting some sweet, sweet Negaverse propaganda. The prompts are broad so people have plenty of room to work. Please roll a 1d6 to choose your prompt!
Senshi are Terrorists! The Negaverse: Savior of the People Youma and You: A Comprehensive Guide Negaverse and Small Business Owners How to Train Your Youma Life in the Negaverse
Please keep your mini-prompts under 500 words if you are going to post them within the ORP! ICly these are about 30-second drabbles performed in front of a questionably sober Negaverse audience. If you would like to do a more robust skit with another character, feel free to write it as a separate RP and then link to that RP somewhere in your ORP post.
Once you have completed your skit, please post this at the bottom of your tag!
A SKIT IS FINE TOO
Spec Ops:
Some nerd officer went out and found a youma that she thinks is impervious to physical harm. To demonstrate this, she supplied an aluminum bat to the party and agreed to walk way out into the dusty plains of the Rift to survey the damage. The youma is baseball-sized, has googly eyes, and doesn't appear to care what happens to it.
Are you ready to test your strength? Just remember, not all officers are created equal! Which one fits your character?
The Weaksauce Class: These officers are all Skinny Petes. Generate a 1-10 to determine how far that youma goes, if you manage to hit it. The Average Class: Everything about these officers is average physically. Generate a 5-15 to determine how far you can launch that youma into the plains! The Strong Class: These officers are bulky pros. Generate a 10-20 to determine whether you'll still see that youma by the time it touches down. The Schwarzenegger Class: NO DON'T YOU'LL BREAK THE BAT -- (pick up the youma and throw it with your hands. Roll 10-20; low numbers likely hit an obstacle)
When you're finished, please post this at the bottom of your tag!
I smacked the crap outta that youma! The officer said it traveled xx yards!
Super Sailor Ochre / Front Room / 0 Points
The setup was exhausting, though significantly safer with Xenotime’s assistance. He received enough hungry looks in the Rift to warrant never coming here again. Still, it was the safest place he knew of yet; senshi never reached this far down.
Ochre thought he prepared well - the house looked adequately festive, there were plenty of snacks and cakes and appetizers to feed an army, and some of the agents who agreed to help out lent some necessary alcohol. Ochre himself considered it briefly, for all the hungry stares from youma got to him - he wondered if he would wind up dinner before the night was over. But Xenotime was present, and willing to protect him through the duration of this endeavor.
„So, what do you think? You gonna try any games?“ Ochre tried to keep the mood light, though the prolonged absence of his brother left him distracted.
Maybe the party could help with that, too.

Captain Witherite/ Front Room/ 0 Points
Teleporting he discovered, even though it left him winded if he did too much, and by to much currently it was like at all, was awesome. He didn't need to hitch a ride into the rift anymore which was nice when turning in energy. Tonight it was nice because he could bring himself to the party and he didn't have to wait for Beni to get him from point A to point B. He bet the other would be around later and wondered if any of the crew would make it.
When he walked in, he dropped some plastic spiders in the jar and grinned. He'd dropped in a huge handful even though that meant counting said hand full which included 32 spiders.
He made for the snacks afterward because he was hungry and it would help replenish his energy, for when he needed to get home assuming he was sober enough to do so.
Hetzerei
Wasn't sure if the spiders were big or small, so hopefully the number is okay
He'd heard about the party several days ago, it was an interesting idea. He was planning for a small party, or gathering, of his own team but this would be first. So he'd decided to speak with his cousin and Huntite so he could bring them if they wished to go. He'd spoken to other members of his team as well and offered to ferry them all down via teleporting, since most of his members were not above Lieutenant level yet - he knew at least one would due to be a Captain soon.
When the night came he waited till he had his team with him, including a dark pink haired corrupted and a guardian cat. Having the group gathered he headed down to the area right outside the entrance to the Rift and once there he focused on the people he wanted to summon to him and as he pulled on them - summoned them to himself he waited. He knew it would be taxing and leave him drained, how could it not? But he was ready to pay the price for bringing the people down with him.
Swaying where he stood when they arrived he managed a smile as he righted himself. It was something he could do, summoning people to him, but it was taxing without a doubt. "We should go." Nodding his head as he indicated the group to follow him down into the rift- to the location the arrows would bring them to.
The youma around them, seen and unseen, were mostly ignored by the petite General as he followed the arrows. he kept the corrupted senshi close to him as youma generally didn't like corrupted senshi. Katya was curled about his shoulder for the same reason. Arriving at the location he tossed a hand full of plastic spiders into the bowl - a dozen. He'd counted them earlier.

Unlike many, getting to the party for the half-youma general had been as easy as walking across the compound. Those of her underlings to had wished to attend, she had summoned in the Hall of Shadows before leading them into the Rift proper. It was odd that whoever had planned this, had put it in the rift and not in the safer, more accessible rooms outside of it. Not that it mattered, for herself, and she figured she was more than enough protection for her people, but still.
General Cinnabar strolled into the decrepit house with a curious eye on the surroundings, skimming with amusement over the decorations. It felt... out of place here, turning this forgotten place into something that could have almost passed for one out in the city. If you ignored the cavern it was in and the things that skittered just out of reach of the light.
Under one arm was a bottle of fine whiskey and she was already looking for a place to pour a glass as she paced through the front room. The crowd was light yet, but she didn't mind too much. If the party was a bomb, she'd just do some drinking and wander back to her rooms.
If you guys want a ride, feel free to assume Cin summoned you to the Hall of Shadows and walked you through with her.
Chrysocolla hadn't been meaning to attend the party, even after she'd gotten the message via her communicator -- it seemed...she wasn't sure what the word was...frivolous, maybe. She didn't want to greet people and play games in a crowded space that'd give her nightmares for the sheer amount of people, she wanted to stay at home and sleep and sulk.
Well. By home, she meant her dorm. That was still a difficult mental rewording to get used to, even this far into the school year.
But when she felt Cinnabar's power nudging at her mind, well...she didn't want to disappoint Cinnabar. She was a little late to the Hall of Shadows, strapping a wrist brace onto one wrist as her uniform magically settled itself onto her body, and she waved with a smile and followed the General into the party like the world's meekest shadow. Hopefully the crowd would stay this light. Chrysocolla wasn't looking forwards to having a panic attack.

Lieutenant Reinerite / Front Room / 0 Points
Reinerite had been out working on her quota when her crystal communicator had started glowing strangely.
She had ended up almost dropping the thing when the voice had started coming out of like some sort of voice mail message and had been very glad that she was out on her own...
Well apart from the drunk who had been, unbeknown to him, graciously donating to her quota - although he was too drunk to care.
It meant that she was aware of the party.
She had hesitated in coming however because her teachers had chosen to load her up on assignments and she wasn't sure she could afford the time to go to a party - not when it was time she could spend working on said assignments as Ashley.
But it was only a day - well okay night really - and she was kind of curious which was how Reinerite had ended up eventually deciding to come.
She had decided to wear polymer clay cauldron earrings complete with green-coloured potion as a nod to the season, having slipped them in after powering up.
Whilst being unable to teleport herself, Reinerite had followed the instructions given and gone down to the North Park and given the password as instructed.
She had also brought with her a handful of small plastic spiders - 5 in total - that she dropped into the glass jar on her way in.
They had him at bring your own beer, which he didn't do but he was sure as hell going to drink others. This being exactly what the blue eyed captain was doing at the moment. Leaning against the wall and drinking a long neck bottle of booze down, another was in his hand waiting for the one open to be finished. Tossing the empty bottle a burp was let loose into the room and the second bottle was opened, his now free hand shot a certain general a text asking if she was going to even show up to this thing.

General Xenotime / Front Room / 0 Points
Xenotime had been more than happy to play guard dog for the corrupt super as he went about setting up for the party, though since she hadn't had to do too much guarding required, she'd also helped out with the set up and decorating. Now, with everything finished, she was was helping herself to a drink while providing willing company and distraction to Ochre.
"I think it looks great." And it really did. The already run down state of the place really lent a creepy feel that was only accentuated by the decorating they'd done. It was a great venue, and safe.
As for game, she shrugged, smiling as she took a drink and leaned into his shoulder. "I might. We'll see." She was here to socialize and have fun. Those were her only solid plans for the evening.
Oh, and hopefully keep Natrolite from landing himself in any serious trouble, like the last time they'd been around another general. She glanced through the door to the backroom, eyeing the captain in question as he worked at getting himself drunk as quickly as possible.
It was going to be an interesting night.

Captain Sarabauite / Front Room / 0 Points
So this was a thing.
That Sarabauite was going to.
Great.
Just great.
Her crystal had informed her of the party just as she lay splayed out on a rooftop, having taken up a penchant for stargazing. At first, like always, the captain was hesitant to go, but she swallowed back her reservations and arrived in the Rift with a sigh. Besides the fighting tourney that took place some time ago, she hadn't much interaction with other Negaverse agents save a few happenstances here or there.
Save for networking, second time's the charm for getting to know some people. Hopefully.
When she entered, dropping a small handful of 24 spiders into a jar, Sarabauite felt stuck. Seguing into the front room since that seemed to be the center of mingling, she made a beeline for the food, and immediately began to munch. She couldn't say no to free food.
((feel free to poke her~))

Lieutenant Huntite / Front Room/ 0 Points
After having to deal with so many civilian's getting lost and causing trouble in the forest, time in the Negaverse at a Halloween party had sounded like just thing thing. So when General Benitoite offered to teleport him to it he had accepted the smaller man's offer. Once the group had been teleported and he shook off the weird sensation of it, a brief look of concern crossed his face at how the General had swayed. He didn't say anything about it though and instead gave the younger man a nod in thanks for the transportation and followed him to the party. He did however have a brief thought that it was a shame that Kit couldn't be at the party since the young man probably would have enjoyed it.
One look around had him dropping 24 spiders into the jar. That done he spotted Witherite and gave a short wave to the Captain.
~*~
Lieutenant Cuprite / Back Room/ 0 Points
After the spider scare at the house and he heard about the party, Hux had figured that it would be a perfect way to make sure his cousin wouldn't run into any real spiders for a while so he was rather pleased that Alexandre would be going. When it came time to actually go to the party however he made sure to power up only after setting down a bag so he could pick it back up once he became Cuprite and it wouldn't disappear.
When Benitoite teleported them, he at first stuck close to his cousin just in case he needed some help after spending all that energy but once they hit the party itself and Tink didn't seem to be having any problems, he dropped fourteen spiders into the jar, let his cousin know where he was going then made his way to the back room to drop off the alcohol he brought. He didn't plan on drinking much himself but he had brought extra then what he and Benitoite would bother drinking so there would be more on hand for everyone else. Cuprite was not however expecting to run into Natrolite in the back but gave him a smile none the less. "Couldn't resist a party either?"

Sailor Noctua / Front Room / 0 Points
Noctua disliked the rift for many obvious reasons. This was not her element. She was not meant to be here. It was not made for her. The youma in the hall that she passed through with Cinnabar made those facts as clear to her as day. Though she tried to prevent it, a shudder wracked through her body and she stole closer to Cinnabar's side.
"This is not somewhere I should be," she muttered into the fur of Cinnabar's jacket, not realizing how closely she had stepped towards her general. "And I'm not terribly fond of what happened the last time I was here either..." her shoulder, spider webbed with ragged scars, ached at the memory. Noctua was not down for another escaped into the unknown...
