Tom sighed as he tried to concentrate on the screen in front of him. He was currently in one of the local coffee shops, having decided that although he could make hot chocolate himself at home, they had pre-made deserts and other food items, which he did not, and he had been feeling tired and lazy that day and had decided to stop by.
It was mostly quiet, it didn't seem to be quite the hangout for teenagers or the 'aspiring' writers who would bring their laptops in to work on, so Tom was glad that he didn't have to deal with the noise.
Of course, with it being so quiet, it made it harder for him to stop thinking about what had happened with 'Destiny Star' Hospital. From the gossip he had heard from others, he hadn't had the most traumatizing group, but it was certainly an experience and one he didn't want to repeat. He would rather be with his fellow Negaverse agents in control of what was happening and seeing everyone else get scared, but to trick their own agents so? Although the senshi weren't amazing by any means, they probably didn't go and create elaborate tricks and then go and traumatize their own allies.
And so, here he was, trying to keep the images from popping up in his brain by trying to read a book, but it didn't seem to be helping.

It had been a relief to get back home after the mess at the hospital, not only had Hux more then welcomed a shower, actual food, and sleep, but he had been glad to not be stuck worrying about any more spider incidents and attacking youma. That was twice now that he had been in the middle of a fight and both times it had been against youma. It was almost enough to make him be nervous around youma considering that he hadn't even gone against a single Senshi or Knight yet in is year of being with the Negaverse. Either way those thoughts had him taking a walk when he had some free time from his job, either just plain teaching or grading, and eventually he came to a coffee shop. He walked into the shop after a moment of thought and moved to the counter to order. After placing it he moved to stand out of the way to wait for it to be done, while doing so he glanced around the shop idly only to pause briefly when he spotted someone familiar. Hux couldn't say he had really had the chance to talk to Tom before, not without his cousin and many more of Alex's team being there, and the most he knew of him was his name, rank, powered name, and that he was studying in the medical field. That in mind, when he go his cup of coffee and chocolate scone he moved over to greet the other man. "Good day, working hard or reading for pleasure?" He asked with a smile when he was close enough. Tom was still quite spaced out, trying to read his book, but luckily that meant he was paying more attention to what was going on around him than usual, and he saw what seemed to be a familiar face pop into the shop and order something. It wasn't until the man spotted him too that Tom realized he had seen the guy at Alex's house. The only problem was he had no idea what the guy's name was.
Curse his inability to remember names. He seriously needed to carry around some sort of recorder or something. He just smiled a bit when the other came over and started to talk to him. "Good day to you too. I'm... trying to read for pleasure, but I've been a little distracted." All teddy bears were going to get a poking first for a while. And he would no longer be eating anything that was wrapped in foil. "I'm sorry... I'm terrible with names. Who are you again?" He asked as he gestured to the seat in front of him, silently asking the man to take a seat. "But you were at Alex's, right?"

"Anything in particular distracting you or just the day in general?" Hux asked with a smile. He wouldn't be surprised either way though as he's had days where the entire day was a distraction rather then any one thing in particular. At the question of who he was, he gave a chuckle and sat down in the offered chair. "It's alright, every time we're in the same room there are a lot of people to remember so it's no surprise. I'm Hux Evan's, Alex it my little cousin." He said with a smile. It was still kind of amusing and kind of worrying to think that his little cousin was a General and had been in this fight for years now. "And you're Tom or Arseno correct?" He shortened Tom's powered name on purpose so if anyone listening in heard it then they would probably think it was a nickname or screen name. "Alex has talked to me about his group a few times before."

"It's definitely something in particular." Tom thought about it for a moment, wondering if he should bring the hospital thing up. After all, he wasn't exactly sure who was in the know, and bringing it up could end with the other one laughing in his face for falling for such a thing. "You... weren't there at that Destiny Star hospital thing were you?" Well, it was certainly more than a thing, it was a traumatizing, probably PTSD causing nightmare that lasted for an entire day.
After hearing the other say his name, Tom quickly typed it into the notes of the ipad, making sure to put it down somewhere later once he was back at his apartment. "Hux... yes I believe Alex has talked to you before. I'm sorry that we met in such a situation and I'm still sorry that I couldn't be there for you guys." It was actually kind of funny how they could talk about such weird situations in such a plain setting as this, yet it could sound like any normal event that might happen in one's life.
"Yep, that would be me. Glad my name is easy to remember." He said, smirking a bit. It was common too, which made it easier, but then again, if he met other Tom's he still had to write their name down to remember it. "Your cousin is interesting. And I'm glad to be in his group." For the most part, he still didn't like the fact that Alex had been the one to force him into all of this.

Hux blinked in surprise at just what was distracting Tom. "I was there, Alex and I got caught up in one of the groups. I take it you did as well?" Thinking about it, it wouldn't be a surprise that a medical student had wanted to check out a new hospital. "We were in the group with Doctor Hadly." He said, giving a small wince at remembering what the doctor had turned into in the end. Say what you want about Senshi and Knights, at least their allies didn't look like something out a horror film. "It's alright, it can't be helped how you meet." He said with a smile then took a sip of his coffee. "On the bright side we didn't meet thanks to stalking?" If asked more on that though he might not elaborate just yet, though Hux personally found it amusing. "I'm normally pretty good with names, helps with my teaching job to not have to ask a student who they were multiple times, but yes it is nice that it's easy to remember. My birth name is weird enough that people remember it normally but I think 'Hux' tops that a bit." He gave a smile and a nod, glad to hear that Tom didn't mind being part of Alex's group. "Good to hear, I know he is glad to have you, as am I."

Tom relaxed a bit, glad that he wasn't the only agent caught up in all of that, though he had sensed the other auras, he just assumed that they were all in on it when he wasn't. He nodded to Hux though. "Yes. I was in the group with Amelia or whatever. It wasn't... too terrible I suppose, but I won't stop being paranoid of stuffed bears for a bit and randomly opened facilities now." He certainly wasn't going to go anywhere but DC General from now on if he had to go to the hospital.
Tom took a sip of his own beverage and raised an eyebrow at the other. "Well yes, I suppose not meeting by stalking is good." He replied, chuckling a bit. Though he had to remind himself that most of the agents he had met so far were when he was in civilian form and they were trying to drain him. He just seemed to have that innocent look. "I wish I had that ability, but I do much better with faces and online names rather than real-life names. Though if I repeat it to myself enough eventually I'll get it."
Tom made a bit of a face at the mention of Alex being glad that he was in the group. But he couldn't complain, after all there were other, worse generals that he could have been under rather than one that wanted to teach and guide new 'recruits'. "Yes, I don't believe I could have gotten a better general for my situation. He made easing into all of this a bit easier."
