He really hoped Aiden wasn’t home, this would cause so many problems if his partner was home. Katya though...he hoped she was home - they needed her. The starseed had helped boost his energy but just enough that he was able to take hold of the lightbulb adorned lieutenant, he’d find out her name later, and teleport them to his own living room.

The room was as it had been when he’d left in a rush, having been taken by surprise for the summoning call. The room smelled of rain and flowers, a light floral scent, and...grass? The candles he had were scattered about the room giving a nice warm glow as they filled the room with their scent. It was something that screamed spring, at least to him.

Right now though it was all ignored as he glanced about looking for the rest of his team. Witherite, Huntite, the unknown lieutenant that Witherite had been with. Where was Hudson? Had he been involved somewhere else in the fighting? What about Arsenopryite and Saponite? Had they been involved and the corrupted senshi that he had under his wing as well? He hadn’t seen any of them and their fates, so far, were unknown to the injured General.

Feeling the tell tale signs of panic blossoming in him he took time to breath and relax as he called out for Katya. “Katya!” Hoping to be heard by her wherever she might be in the house, because she really needed to be home tonight. The dogs were...well Cadha had seen him a few times as he was but the dog was clueless about their guest and seemed unsure whether to be upset and protective or seeking affection. Aiden’s dog, much larger in size, seemed to have decided to try and play nice.

Greeting both, weakly, he took the time to power down. He’d ruin his clothing, he knew it, but he also couldn’t remain powered up especially not knowing if Katya was here. He couldn't, and wouldn’t, bring attention to his home but especially not tonight. He had an unknown number of officers set to be teleporting in and how many were injured he didn’t know. He couldn’t risk his home, and them, being found out tonight - there would be no victory for them.

Also...maybe, just maybe, powering down was a bad idea. The pants he wore pressed over the glass shard which had been sticking out of his leg and pressed it deeper into his flesh. The pain was intense as he staggered and caught himself on the coffee table, a palm planted against the coffee tables glass surface. Hiding in pain he really didn’t have time to care or consider whoever was here or was arriving.

Moving one hand down he went to undo the button and zipper of his pants and shifted till the denim fabric slid down his hips and down his legs, catching on the glass. Shaking with effort, and from pain and exhaustion, he managed to ease his pants off and sat himself down without a care. His shoulder was bleeding, staining his shirt, but he couldn’t manage enough to get up and move. His legs were cut up from glass shards and bleeding, likely some other shards could be found in the backs of his legs - he wouldn’t be surprised.

“We better have gotten him.” Him being that knight - Scholomance. If they had failed...he would not be pleased. He had taken injuries, lost two youma, his own team has suffered surely, though as of yet he didn’t know just what.

Quote:
She had certainly felt the arrival of her General, as it had to be him since she knew no other General who knew of their home, but why would he be teleporting in? He almost never did such, unless he absolutely had to, but to do so now after running out on a summons earlier...something had happened. She also felt another officer with him and then she heard him.

Hearing her name she jumped down from his bed, where she’d been curled up reading, and hurried down the hall and downstairs into the living room. Spotting the scene which was unfolding the Russian Blue went right over to him. Coming around the couch she hopped up onto the coffee table in order to get a proper look at him. Already she was working to keep the other officers signature suppressed, it wouldn’t do for them to be found here.

“A battle….I missed a battle. Are my senshi alright? And what of the officers?” She asked. She didn’t need to ask how he was doing, she could see how he was doing - and it wasn’t well. He’d need medical and she was unable to call for help….but he could...well in a roundabout way.

“I’ll be right back.” And the cat turned and took off for his room, where he’d left his cell phone on his bedside table. Knocking the device onto the bed she set about using her paw to unlock it and press in the number password.

It took time, and a lot of care and concentration, but she managed to put in a call to Tom. He had medical training - he could surely help. Sitting on the bed she waited, tail twitching with nerves as she listened to it ring.

Quote:
Hux had been up in his room grading papers for the past few hours and since he hadn’t powered up today, nor had his cousin told him about it, he hadn’t gotten the summons to the battle. So when Alex started to yell for Katya he was surprised and curious as to what his cousin needed from the cat. He got up from his chair and moved down stairs to find his bloodied cousin talking to Katya as well as a Lieutenant who had lightbulbs on her head. “What in the world happened?!” He asked then rushed off to grab the first aid kit, returning not long after and kneeling by Alexandre so he can start to patch him up. “Are you hurt as well miss?” He asked the Lieutenant as he worked on carefully cleaning his cousin of the glass.

Quote:
Tom had been in class the whole time doing midterms and so unfortunately had missed all of the fighting. He was in the middle of walking back to his apartment when his phone rang. When he saw who it was, he was quite surprised. Wonder what he’s calling about? He thought as he swiped it open and gave a “Hey, what’s up?” into the phone. He could only wonder why his general was calling at this point unless it was to invite him to another social gathering of some sort.

Quote:
Hearing that voice Katya was happy, but also in a rush. “Tom, it’s good to hear your voice. I’d chat more but I could use your help.” She spoke as calmly as she could but knew there was that sense of urgency in her voice. At least she could hear Hudson downstairs with his cousin and the other lieutenant - that was good.

“There was a battle and I’m hoping you weren’t involved and hurt. If so getting here would be a good idea for safety. If not I hope you have a medical kit and know how to stitch someone up…” She continued on. Not wanting to alarm him but also wanting to give him an idea of what was needed, she wasn’t even sure how badly Alexandre was hurt. “I saw glass sticking out of him and blood. I think others are due to arrive as well.” As she knew Benitoite would have told any to come here, and she was sure others on the team were involved in the battle.

She just hoped one of them was not Tom, she hoped he was well. It wasn’t just so he could provide help, which may help him with hands on training, but because it would be one less person injured and she cared for everyone in the group.

Quote:
As soon as Witherite had hold of Forsterite and let her know what he was doing, he teleported right into Beni’s living room. It wiped him completely and he was extremely dazed swaying on the spot, his uniform fading away. “Get rid of the suit,” he ground out to the girl, telling her to power down, then took one step and promptly collapsed. He didn’t have enough energy in him to stay up right or conscious after fighting and summoning youma, and then teleporting with another on top of that.

Alex now had a collapsed, unconscious captain and a likely very confused lieutenant in his living room, along with about a quarter or maybe half of his team. What an eventful night.

Quote:
Since he could not teleport yet and had thankfully parked his car semi close to the battle area’s, Huntite had been able to drive himself and Ptolemaeus to Benitoite’s house. However on the way over he dropped back to Richard so he wasn’t leaving a signature trail, so to speak, directly to the General’s residence and asked Ptolemy to do the same. While he could not begrudge the younger man the right to privacy if he didn’t want to share his identity, he would rather he dropped his transformation until the were there at the least so they again weren’t leading any Order there by way of signatures.

Once they got there however he parked his truck and carefully carried the teen to the door. “Go ahead and knock Kit-kat, it’s a bit hard to do it myself at the moment.” He said as he eyed Kit to check him over and make sure he wasn’t feeling worse.

Quote:
Forsterite wore an expression reminiscent of a cat that had just had a bucket of water dumped on it. Her arms were out as if ready to catch herself and the first thing she was able to move was her eyes, shifting them to try to get a sense of just where, exactly, they had landed. It appeared to be...a dwelling of sorts. Just a normal, plain old dwelling, though others were quickly appearing in shortly after she and Witherite had.

“Get rid of the suit.”

“...I beg your pardon?”

The tawny-haired woman didn’t have much time to be affronted by the misinterpreted request, however, when she heard a dull thud behind her and jerked around to see a blonde man collapsed on the ground. Was that...had that been the captain that had gotten them there?

“Ca...captain?” she asked tentatively, immediately dropping to the floor to make sure he was still breathing. As if she hadn’t felt useless enough before they had teleported. Now she didn’t know where she was, who anyone else there was, why they had come here, or if the unconscious man beside her was the Negaverse agent who had brought them there in the first place. Had it been her fault he passed out? She couldn’t even be sure it was the same man!

Don’t panic, don’t panic...just stay calm and wait for instructions...I’m sure someone will tell you what’s going on sooner or later…

In the meantime, perhaps it was better if she did power down, though. Regardless of finding herself in a stranger’s home or not, it would have likely been better to look like her normal, civilian self than to be caught in her lieutenant gettup. She quickly powered down as she kneeled beside the blonde fellow and tried to press her ear to his chest so as to hear his heartbeat.

Quote:
Though he hadn’t at all been sure where Huntite had meant to stop by, Ptolemaeus trusted the lieutenant and had made no protest as the older man drove them both to the destination he had in mind. He easily complied with the request to power down and although Hver’s ribbon was still tied to his arm where Scylla had secured it, he was simply relieved to be free of that eternal senshi’s magic at last.

It was embarrassing enough that Huntite had discovered him in such a compromising position and he certainly hadn’t wanted to distress the other with his affected state of mind, especially since it had only been temporary. Unfortunately, the fact still remained that he still couldn’t walk, which meant he was forced to rely on Richard’s assistance not just to be driven from the vicinity of the Circle K, but to get up from the car and - though he was too weary to really put up much of a protest - carried to the front door.

“...I can still use one leg, you know,” he told the bearded man, casting him an incredulous look as he raised his fist to knock. “I can lean on one and just hang on to you with my arm for support so you don’t have to haul around my full weight. Or are you just showing off? I’m surprised you aren’t the worse for wear.”

Oh, right. There was one more thing nagging at him. “...Where is this, exactly?”

Quote:
Watching Witherite appear along with a lieutenant he took the time to look both over. “Witherite…?” He questioned staring as the other dropped, he wanted to get up and even made to do so. It failed though as he landed back on the couch in pain, panting and sweating now, he reached out and clung to his cousins broad shoulders. That was the amusing thing...most wouldn’t realize they were related, as they didn’t look much alike. Where Hudson was tall and broad Alexandre was short and petite in build, and it was because of this that he surely looked sad and pathetic as he was.

“Get Witherite into a chair...he’s likely drained on energy. But I don’t know about injuries.” he whispered out, hoping to be heard by the Lieutenant and his cousin. “Hudson...please - help them. I can’t.” He couldn’t and he worried for them, unknowing of whatever injuries they may be suffering from.

The lieutenant who had come with Witherite had his attention now as he looked them over. “I don’t know who you are - I apologize...are you alright?” He questioned as he tried to get comfortable despite how hopeless a cause it really was. All it did was bring him pain - a lot of it.

When the door was knocked on he pointed to it slowly, it hurt lifting his arm. Biting down on his bottom lip, though it did nothing to cover up the whimper or how his hold on his cousin's shoulder tightened. “Please...Hudson.” He whispered hoping his cousin would get the idea and answer the door.

Quote:
Hux looked over at the sound of Ryan’s body hitting the floor and only didn’t move to check on him since the lieutenant, who he watched power down, moved to check on him and he was still trying to help his cousin. When Alex first tried to move only to fall he jerked back around to look at him, giving the younger man a frown at the request. “Alright but do NOT try to move from this chair again and start wrapping up some of these cuts.” He said and handed his cousin some bandages, though he didn’t plan on leaving Alexandre’s side for long if he could help it.

Before he could finish getting up he heard a knock on the door and was being asked to get it as well. “I got it.” He promised and got to his feet, careful not to hurt Alex when he moved his hand away from his shoulder. Once that was done he moved quickly to the door, opening it to see two more people, one looking more injured than the other by far but he knew at least one of them. “Come on, there is a first aid kit in the living room with the others.” He said then turned around and moved to Witherite and the female helping him. “Here, let me move him to the couch so we can check him better, okay?” He asked as he knelt down next to them.

Quote:
“Yes you can use one leg but it’s quicker to move you like this and probably less painful for you. I only got into one brief fight before I found you and the Senshi only managed one hit.” Richard said, completely ignoring the question on if he was showing off. Kit’s health was his first concern and showing off for him was second, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t to some extent or another. “Somewhere safe where you can hopefully get patched up.” Not that he wasn’t sure that just where they were at wouldn’t come up, after all it was bound to come up that this was Benitoite’s house, but he wasn’t going to say that now until they were inside just in case.

Before anything else could be said the door was opened by Hux and Richard was soon carrying Kit into the living room where everyone else had congregated. “How bad is everyone off?” He asked no one in particular as he sat Kit down on a chair. He could see that no one was fully bandaged up just yet and Witherite was passed out. “Any idea one if any more of us were in the battle?”

Quote:
“What?!” Tom hadn’t meant to yell, but he was surprised at what he had heard. He didn’t know there was a battle! And it seemed that Benitoite and some others had gotten hurt. He cursed in his head before replying. “I’m all right Katya, I’ve been in class this whole time so I’m fine.” He was sure that if there were others that they would already be getting medical attention, but Katya sounded worried. “All right Katya, I’ll be there as soon as possible.” He tried to reassure her over the phone.

Once he had closed his phone though, he headed straight in the direction of Benitoite’s apartment, which wasn’t too far from campus, but he had to jog there to get to it in a good amount of time. He wasn’t going to teleport. He was still new to it and the last time it had completely drained him of his energy. Soon enough he was at the door of the apartment, and was about to knock when he realized that it was open.

He opened it cautiously and was surprised at what he saw. Or at least he was surprised at how many were in the apartment. And the only person he knew out of all of them was Benitoite. Well, he certainly felt out of place. He dropped his bag in a place where no one would trip over it and walked towards the group. It didn’t look good. Although Benitoite had mostly been fixed up at this point, he could tell the battle had been hard. And then there was an unconscious person on the floor, someone else was limping, it was a mess. He wasn’t exactly sure what he could do at this point, but still asked, “Is there anything I can do to help?”

Quote:
Looking up from his place on the couch, since he knew better than to try and get up, he stared for a moment before deciding to try and answer. One side of his face already bruised heavily and painful, talking was not an easy thing at the moment. “I didn’t think it prudent to go yanking the glass shard out of my leg. Last time I did that it made it worse…” Though that was years ago, it had in fact made the bleeding worse when he’d done it.

With his legs bare, save for the wrappings on them, he was able to point down to the shard that was sticking out of his leg and still causing a thin trickle of blood. He didn’t care to risk more blood escaping - he already felt light headed enough as it was.

He also had a feeling that would be needing stitches as well as his shoulder. “I need to teach a certain knight not to stab me with my own weapon as well…” Shifting around, biting down on his lip as he did so, he was able to slowly move up the shirt he wore so the reason for the dark stain was visible. His shoulder, the left side, had taken a beating. Bruised, bloody, and having been stabbed by his own weapon.

“Witherite teleported with no energy for it...I think….” Rubbing at his jaw he took a moment to try and ease some of the pain and stiffness. He was going to pay Shalott back next time he ran into her - he really was. He should have killed her a lot sooner, before this all could have happened.

“Witherite...may have taken damage. Hudson was absent from it. The lieutenant’s…” Looking at the people he didn’t know and Richard. “I-I don’t know. We were in different places…” Looking at them each, hoping for them to reveal just how injured they were - especially the one being carried by Richard.

“Managing a smile, though it hurt, he decided on some light teasing. “Looks like combat medic training for you Tom.”

Quote:
Coming downstairs, having heard more people arrive, Katya was pleased have see Tom but also Richard, who looked well enough, in the house as well. Moving over to the front door she pawed at it, throwing her weight into it, until the door closed. It wasn’t locked, that she was unable to do, but it was closed and that was good.

“Tom, I’m glad you came and you are well.” She spoke up as she jumped back up onto the glass coffee table. She was very glad to see him and knowing he hadn’t been involved, though she wondered how he’d have held up had he been there for the fight. School though - it came first.

“Richard, why don’t you help me get drinks for everyone - something hot. It might help a bit.” The guardian cat spoke softly at him, tail moving behind her gently. She was nervous, worried for the people in the house, she needed a bit of a distraction and getting them all drinks might help anyway.

Quote:
The general's calling of the captain's name drew Forsterite’s - now Tress’ - attention once she confirmed the blonde was still alive. Since he seemed to be addressing the unconscious man, Tress could only conclude that he was, indeed, the Captain Witherite she had met out in the field. The now-powered-down general mentioned getting him into a chair and the tawny-haired woman realized that he himself was still in a great deal of pain and very badly injured from the shards of glass. Her thick English accent of the Sussex dialect colored her words as she spoke.

“Please, no apology necessary, General. I am Lieutenant Forsterite - Tress Gervene. I’m the one who must apologize for my imposition upon you and your team.” She bowed, her demeanor serious and grave. “If there’s anything at all I can do to make it up to you, please let me know. I am entirely at your disposal.” Glancing at the slashes bleeding through her suit from work, she frowned and said, “I’m fine. Just a few cat scratches.”

Then she uttered irritably, as if to more to berate herself more than anything else, “Though if I’d been more useful, perhaps I could have prevented you and your subordinates from taking on more damage than you had. I will endeavor to work harder next time. This was my first fight, so I regret to report that I was dreadfully unprepared.” She was already in the process of attempting to get Witherite up onto a chair, but being the somewhat short woman she was at 5’6.5”, this proved more of a task than she had expected. Perhaps she had powered down a little too soon. Fortunately, another gentleman came over to offer his assistance and Tress accepted it with gratitude.

The general’s theory that Witherite had drained the last of his energy by having teleported both himself and her evoked a pang of guilt. She hadn’t been his responsibility; hadn’t been a part of his team. They hadn’t even met prior to that night, and yet he not only spent the last of his precious resources plucking her out of the troublesome situation she had gotten herself into, but he’d brought her with him back to this safehouse of his general’s where they all seemed intimately acquainted both in and out of their powered forms. They may all have been Negaverse agents, but that didn’t mean they were under any obligation whatsoever to assist each other. She certainly didn’t think she would have done the same thing had she been in Witherite’s position. And now she was indebted to him and this group for their graciousness and hospitality.

Benitoite still seemed to require the most assistance just then, so Tress marched over and started fishing out various objects in the first aid kit to see what they could use. She knew the wounds had to be bound tightly with pressure applied to them to stop the bleeding, so she worked as quickly and as efficiently as she could to clean them and then apply the antibiotic she found in the kit.

After that was the bandages, and though she knew the whole process must have been uncomfortable for the general, her swift and firm actions suggested a lack of intimidation or hesitation in her undertaking of the tasks. She wasn’t the sort who was going to back off on being thorough just because something might have stung because if she was going to do something, she wanted to do it right. Better to have it hurt a little now and get it over with quickly than be too gentle and allow infection or worse to occur later.

Quote:
Tom sighed, wondering what the heck he had missed. Luckily though it seemed that Alex was being tended to already, so he could focus on helping the others. He quickly reached down and pet Katya before moving over to the unconscious Witherite. He grabbed a small flashlight he had in his backpack and moved to check on how the other’s eyes responded. Luckily he confirmed that the captain was only unconscious once he had checked up on him. Gently picking him up he moved him over to one of the couches in the apartment. It didn’t seem that the other was hurt anywhere else, so he would just need rest for right now.

It didn’t seem as though the others were too hurt, but it had definitely been quite the battle. He would have asked Alex what had gone on but the other seemed to be too hurt to be up for any conversation. And it didn’t seem as though the others really needed any help, except for one man whose leg seemed to be hurting somehow. He moved over to grab some supplies and moved over to the man whose leg seemed to be hurt. “May I?” He asked. Of course he wouldn’t help if he was told not to, it was always better to ask for permission, sometimes a possible patient would refuse.

Turning to look at Alex he smiled a bit. “Luckily it seems most of your team is fine.” He stifled a chuckle at the fact that the smallest one here was the most hurt and the highest in command.

Quote:
Hearing the Lieutenant, Tress, address him he listened but didn't respond yet - not till she was in front of him. It hurt, he knew it would, but he grit his teeth and took the pain as she worked to help stop the bleeding and bandage him up. He already bore several scars, mixed in with the heavy ink he had decorating his upper half. Vines of thorned ivy covered his upper half, stopping right below his neck and right above his elbows so he could cover it easily. With no pants on, and just boxers, the fleur de lis was easy to see as well along with the banner and words. It wasn't something expected, not if one saw what he normally dressed like. He was not the sort you'd ever expect to be inked...and yet he was.

There was a scar across his chest, something had slashed him long ago, and what was liekly a scar from a stab wound low on his right side hip area. The marks of war - that's what they all were.

"It's fine, you don't owe me any apologies." He whispered, his jaw working to get the words out past the pain. He really owed Shalott a proper beat down, next time though. "You owe me nothing. We are all officers who serve the same side. You will gain in strength - it takes time. Do not feel guilt...you are new to this war I assume? If so...then this is a time to learn and observe - to watch. Do not hold yourself so accountable." He sought, despite being injured and clearly in pain, to comfort the female - to give assurances. She wasn't a member of his team but that hardly mattered when it came down to it. His team was those he'd brought in, those he'd plucked from various places, and he was training them all. When it came down to it though, like in a big battle, they were all a united team.

Maybe when this was over, when he was feeling a bit better, he would ask if she wanted to join his little close knit team. Find out who had brought her into the Negaverse, and offer her training with himself and his group if she wanted it. She certainly seemed to want to improve and become more of an asset and who was he to deny that?

Looking up, and away from her, he nodded to Tom. "That is good. I worried...many were not in my area. I do not know if any others were involved." And he hoped not, or at least if they were involved he hoepd they were not injured.

Nodding his head once toward Witherite he sighed. "He was in a fight with an eternal and a knight...both people I've fought. I got into it with the knight - more history...a good and a bad thing." Since she had really wanted to beat the hell out of him, and had managed to do so. But it meant he knew what to expect from her as well. "Shalott...knight of Earth...typically paired with Royal Knight Camelot of Earth. They are a thing..but he wasn't there for this." A good thing for him. He could handle a knight...but a Royal would be pushing it...especially if he was beating on their significant other. Even he wouldn't take the two on or go for one whilst the other was around.

Quote:
He was of course not really aware of being moved or checked, but he could certainly hear the muffle of voiced around him and his name was called enough times that eventually be groaned starting to come to. He felt very heavy and it was basically a fight to drag himself back to consciousness. At least the realized he was no longer on the floor as he became more aware and more awake.

It was several long moment before he was able to speak in a tired voice, though he didn’t open his eyes because talking took enough energy. “I could really use a boost right now,” he needed some energy even if it was just enough to sit up and stay awake.

He rolled his head to the side and opening his eyes, his gaze searching for and landing one Beni. He chuckled, “gonna need some more bruise balm bossman … I'm going to feel those punches in the morning.” He knew he already had a bruise on his face from his two on one fight earlier in the week and being punched in the face and basically knocked on his a** by a knight didn't help matters.

He gaze wandered to the lieutenant he brought with him, glad to see bringing her along had been a really good decision, as she helped the boss, while another looked over someone he hadnt seen before. A moment later moved his head to look at the ceiling again, closing his eyes and sighing, “... Bossman … on a scale of 1 to 10 … lay it on me … how much trouble am I currently in?”

Quote:
When Tom came in, Richard gave him a nod in greeting but didn’t speak up right away. It wasn’t until the other man moved to check on Kit’s leg that he said anything, having been listening to the other’s talk. “I didn’t take any more damage than a single punch to the face but Kit-kat here got beat up and can’t walk with that leg.” He said in reference to the leg Tom was already asking to look over. “Let him look it over, he’s been getting medical training and is part of this team so I trust him.” Richard told Kit to make sure he wouldn’t refuse the help. While he hadn’t had much interaction with the Captain, he fully trusted Benitoite and the General believed in him.

However before he could say much else, Katya was asking his assistance with getting everyone drinks. Not one to turn down the Guardian’s request when it would make everyone’s life a bit easier and he couldn’t do much for anyone else anyway at this point he gave a nod. “I’ll be right back.” He said to both Kit and Tom then followed Katya to the kitchen so he could make some drinks.

Quote:
It wasn’t hard to move Witherite to the couch, and it was a relief to hear that it was pretty much just exhaustion that made him pass out in the first place. However his attention kept shifting over to his cousin over all, being the one he was the most familiar with and also the one hurt the most playing a part in it he was sure. When the Lieutenant that Witherite teleported in with went to help continue patching Alexandre up he was both glad and worried. “If you haven’t had any medical training, please be sure to leave the wounds that need stitching and the cuts that are both deep and still have glass in them to Tom alright?” He asked her. Alexandre had talked about his team and had been proud of Arsenopyrite’s learning while the woman was brand new and he didn’t know if she knew what was needed.

“When you are finished looking at his leg, can you stitch Tink’s shoulder up? I wasn’t willing to touch it when I tried to patch him up a few minutes ago and it doesn’t look like he is pointing it out to anyone.” Hux asked of Tom, eyeing his little cousin for a moment. His attention then shifted back to Witherite when the Captain woke up and started to speak.

Quote:
Tom nodded in thanks to Richard. “I’m going to splint it for right now. It will work for a bit, but if it still hurts as much tomorrow, I might go and get some x-rays if you think it could be broken.” He wasn’t sure what had happened to Ptolemaeus’ leg, but he wasn’t sure how well the healing powers of the Negaverse would work on something serious, especially if it set in the wrong place. He went back over to his bag and took out the splint kit he was carrying with him. Luckily he had it with him considering he had used it last night for a field-training class. After he went back over to Ptolemaeus and started to fix up his leg.

He had been worried about Alex, considering that he had had broken shards of glass in him. He could have internal bleeding for all Tom knew. “You probably don’t need me saying this, but make sure not to fall asleep for a bit if possible Alex.” He would feel obligated to take the general to a hospital if he was unable to stay conscious for long. He looked over at Alex’s cousin. “I know you’re worried about your cousin. Please make sure to keep an eye on him. I’m sure you will and I apologize if you feel like I’m assuming you wouldn’t. But he’ll need it probably for the next 24-48 hours.” Or at least that’s what he estimated considering that they all healed a bit faster.

It sounded like the battle had been serious, and mostly against knights too, at least for this group. Royal Knight huh… he couldn’t help but wonder what sort of power one had for that. They must be extremely skilled, especially with the way Alex had talked about him. “If I may ask, what was all of the fighting about?” He looked back over at Hux. “I’ll make sure to check him out after getting this leg done.” He was almost finished though, he just had to get the straps on correctly.

Quote:
“Looking that I know. Will keep awake." He was tired, he was, but he was worried about others and hurting too much to give in to sleep even if he wanted to.

He was likely to need his cousin for a while, even with his faster healing, and he was glad to have him - really he was. He still, at times, felt bad for corrupting his elder cousin but...it was one secret they didn't have any more and it had brought them closer in away. It wasn't something he had expected but it was something he appreciated and wouldn't give up for anything.

"Another General had captured a knight...turned them into an informant for us. It seems the fight was to corrupt them - to bring them into the fold. Knights and senshi found to keep us from it...we fought to gain the knight and corrupt him. I don't know the outcome - I will soon no doubt." There was little doubt in his mind that he'd find out somehow. Being a General allowed him some things, information gathering was one of those things. He knew a lot of what happened in the Negaverse and this wouldn't slip under his radar for long.

"Shalott and I have history...saw her fighting Witherite and jumped in." Another pause, he'd been doing it a lot while talking, to rub gingerly at his aching jaw. "She shoved me onto glass...and stabbed me with my own weapon. She also has a good, solid, fist." A warning to those in the room, a small information dump for them.

His eyes closed for a moment, a slow blink, before they were trained on Witherite. "Never...never fight two of that rank again. I've done it as a General - it's stupid." Too many injuries, even if it was a thrill and a rush to do it. The injuries acquired were not worth it. "Next time call for help...even if you have to scream about needing it. There is no shame in it...plus it shares the glory a bit." He added to soften his words some. "Shalott has been around years..." Meaning she was both a perfect one for him to fight and also the worst one for him to fight.

"At least this time I didn't yank the glass out...did that once before..." It had not been a smart move on his part. He was still scared from it. "I have bruise salve in the greenhouse...it might help some people here..." He called out hoping Katya and Richard, in the kitchen, would hear him.

"Mmhmm. If you say so," Kit responded, dark eyes shining with amusement at Richard's reasoning aka excuses. The fact that the bearded man hadn't addressed the question as to whether or not he was showing off wasn't lost on him.

It wasn't that the teen didn't trust his elder regarding the house to be a safe place, but Kit figured that the question of whether or not he was welcome there was an entirely different matter. Even if Richard was and knew whoever lived there, did that really include him by association? He felt awkward enough having had to rely on Richard - or anyone, for that matter - to leave the battlegrounds, so the idea that he might have been imposing like this only added to his disconcertation, but he did his best to conceal it. He hadn't had time to voice his doubts, anyway, before the door was open, and he had little choice in the matter of whether or not to accept the hospitality offered when he couldn't exactly get up and leave.

When they entered the living room, though, the younger male quickly realized his position, noticing other people hurt at least as bad if not worse than he was and one who didn’t seem conscious at all. And then Richard went ahead and mentioned the battle and a sheepish smile spread across Kit’s face as he placed a hand over his eyes. Oh, Richard...I know you only meant well, but…

Had the other man really thought about where Kit might have stood with the others? Though he couldn’t read energy signatures now that he was powered down and at least the majority of the others seemed to be powered down themselves, the Dark Mirror senshi was willing to bet that most if not all of them were Negaverse agents. And while that was just fine with him and he meant them no harm (not that he could have done anything even if he’d wanted to), that didn’t necessarily mean they would all be as accepting of him as Huntite had been. Particularly if they realized where he’d been and what he’d been doing during the fight, and even Huntite didn’t have the full story on that.

His gaze instinctively drifted to Hver’s healing ribbon still secured on his arm. Hopefully no one would recognize it for what it was or who it was associated with. Though the other people in the room seemed to be hurt to varying degrees, that still didn’t make him feel any less like a feline brought into to a wolf’s den. He’d certainly been thinking lately that he’d wanted to meet and get to know and understand more people of the Negaverse, but this wasn’t exactly the way he had in mind. Not when they weren’t aware of who he was and mistaken for one of them.

Well, he’d already endured this much, and it wasn’t as if he hadn’t been attacked by a White Moon Senshi himself, having been of a Chaos faction. He just had to wonder if the lieutenant who’d stomped on his right instep and shattered the bones in his foot in the first place was among the men in the room. As the man who seemed to be the leader of sorts - and also one of the most heavily wounded - looked at him during his glances to each person, he could only give a helpless little smile in return. Did he really have any right to ask for help from these people, medical or otherwise? It seemed precarious enough that they were housing him without realizing he wasn’t also of the Negaverse.

And then a brown-haired, brown-eyed young man around his own age came over to check on his foot. At the request of 'may I?', Kit felt it would have been rude to refuse, but he also found himself contemplating the repercussions if the other young man decided Kit wasn't worth helping after all. "Please," he replied, gesturing for the guy to do as he wished. "And thank you. It's awfully gracious of you, aiding a complete stranger like this."

“...You owe me nothing. We are all officers who serve the same side.”

As he spoke to a green-eyed woman, the words belonging to a man called Alex rang in his ears and Kit felt the uncomfortable knot in his stomach tighten. Are we, though? Weak though he was, he knew if he was called out, then that might also have meant bad things for Richard and the last thing he wanted was to get the lieutenant in trouble with his comrades, particularly when he and them were being so accommodating and kind to him while having suffered heavy losses themselves.

Addressing the brunet examining his foot, Richard began to speak for Kit, which the college student felt was best for fear he himself said too much, like the fact that youmas were the ones who had slashed up his arms and a Negaverse Lieutenant had been responsible for his inability to walk just then. He was glad to hear Huntite had only bore a punch to the face. But before he could find out more, Richard was being asked to help prepare drinks in the kitchen by a chaos cat and Richard was telling Kit to let the young man look him over.

It's not exactly your trust in him or his medical training that I'm worried about... Kit thought, but nodded and waved the bearded man off. He thought he could handle his situation, but it weighed worse on him now that the one person he knew and who knew his powered identity in turn was out of sight. He only vaguely comprehended the one called Tom’s words about splinting his foot, but he shook his head at the mention of going in for x-rays the following day. He didn’t plan to stick around that long if he could help it. “Thank you - uh, Tom, right? - but you don’t have to go through so much trouble for me. I appreciate you setting it right now, but other than that, don’t - ah! - worry...about it…” Kit grit his teeth and gripped tight the arms of the chair he sat in as the brunet set to work on his foot. “You...have enough other people to worry about here...and I can just...go to a hospital or something...get it looked at.”

Just as Tom was finishing with the straps, the topic of what the fighting had been about came up and Kit flinched. Alex began to explain it from their perspective, though, and the Dark Mirror Senshi couldn’t help but be interested. He knew there was much he wasn’t aware of regarding the Negaverse’s side of things, but hearing Alex’s version, he began to feel that maybe they didn’t have the full story, either. He knew it would have been wise to keep quiet as he had forced himself to do all this time, but...something had been eating away at him. It’d been gnawing at him for a long time, now. If the Negaverse and White Moon just knew more about each other and what was going on...was it possible that they could get along better? Of course they had their disagreements and disputes, but wasn’t it also possible that much of their differences were simply matters of misunderstandings and mis-matched viewpoints?

He took a deep breath and stared at the far wall as he began to speak up. “...The way I heard it...that knight had already been an informant before the general had captured him. He’d been informing both sides, though, depending on who paid him. And of course when the general found out, they couldn’t have that, so they mutilated him and took his ring to keep him under their thumb, especially because his Wonder was supposedly especially useful to them. Tonight was just his final gamble to either break away from their hold on him or to submit to corruption.” He didn’t know what the other Negaverse agents would make of that information - whether they would think what had happened to the knight was cruel or necessary or expected - but he felt they needed to know just the same. “I wonder just how many of the Order would have considered him a traitor, too, if they’d known what he’d done...how many who would have fought so hard.”

His favorite line of some song lyrics began to play in his head again, unbidden. There are precious few at ease with moral ambiguities...so we act as though they don’t exist… Perhaps now it would be possible to find out just how true that was.

Alex may not have known the outcome of the battle, but Kit did. He’d been there when Schörl had finally decided to give up the cause - at least for the time being. He just wasn’t sure if he had any right to break the news. Or what other questions it might have led to if he did; questions he wasn’t as keen on answering. Kit glanced down at his knees, staring right through them with a distant gaze, but a ghost of a smile still on his face at the irony of his situation. At this point, he had already decided he pretty much deserved whatever came his way for sticking his nose where it didn’t belong. Kit just hoped Richard wouldn’t be subjected to any consequences as a result of his own actions.

From where he sat, keeping himself awake and as conscious as he could manage, he hard the last of the unknown figures speak up. Tilting his head a bit he nodded slowly. “I see. I was unaware that he was being paid and had been informing previous to the General taking him in. I did see what she had done to him, she had me keeping tabs on him for a short time. I can’t say I agree with her methods but I also cannot voice this. One General against another...it would show division which I won’t do...not to other officers.” Shrugging his one good shoulder he took a moment to let his jaw rest before he continued.

“Had it not been a big battle I’d not have gone. What use is a one armed person to us as an officer? No longer would we gain information...and one armed he becomes a risk to others around him in a battle as they would have to help him. I couldn’t avoid this fight though, not on the off chance of any of my team being there.” Like Witherite. He had gone to help but more so to watch over his own team and help them, as he’d done.

“I would like to think some of orders members wouldn’t have come - if they knew the truth. But I suspect most would still have come...if only to fight the Negaverse. I do worry for any of the Dark Mirror’s children who got caught in the middle...Remmy is no doubt worried as well if he knows about this, he cares for his senshi.” Shifting a bit he took a moment to run his fingers through his long hair, tugging gently on the ashen strands.

“This was a mess...and for the wrong reason. I’m glad that many in my team didn’t suffer much because of it.”

In the kitchen Katya was pointing out to where the tins of homemade tea was kept as well as the bag of fresh ground coffee that Alexandre kept in the house. Hot chocolate was pointed out as well by the corrupted cat who was doing her best to help.

Up on the countertop she was opening cabinets so Richard could get what they each held inside. The next one she opened contained cups, mugs, glasses and other things to drink from. “Take what you think if best for everyone. There is a large trap down there.” She said pointing to a low, floor to knee height, cabinet. “We might need two trays…” And she couldn’t help carry one either since she was just a cat - for now anyway.

“I can go outside and get some brise salve from the greenhouse.” Since she could easily open the sink cabinet in the greenhouse and paw a few jars into a bag and drag them back into the house. “I’ll be back in a few.” Nodding her head she took off out the little doggy, or in this case kitty, door and headed for the greenhouse in the backyard. She was determined to do whatever she could to help everyone in the house.

"With all due respect, General, I humbly disagree," the Romano's assistant teacher answered Alex. "Same side or not, we are under no obligation to aid each other, particularly when it would come at a cost to ourselves. You yourself were already badly hurt and were just able to escape with your comrades. I cannot imagine that everyone in the Negaverse would have felt as inclined to do as you and your group had done, concerning yourself with the well-being of strangers when you had yourself and your own to worry about." She flashed the unconscious Witherite a contemptuous look.

"While your camaraderie among your team and your leadership as a general are certainly to be admired, I cannot believe that everyone in the organization would have acted so irrationally against their own best interests for the sake of someone they didn’t even know, regardless of what side they served.” Turning back to the general, she continued, "I am indeed new to this war, but not to human nature. However, I will do as you say as best I can in regards to learning and observing."

And then the knocked-out captain came to. Tress had half a mind to march over to him and knock him out yet again, but she swallowed her irritation and continued doing what she could to stay diligent and be useful. He hadn’t addressed her, anyway, so she bit her tongue as she concentrated on her work.

At least up until she was chastised for it by the general's brother against whose reasoning she could not argue. If there was someone around with actual medical training, why allow an amatuer to risk making a mess of things in their place? Tress nodded to Hudson, made note of Tom as the one with the training, and got up to leave the rest of tending to Benitoite's wounds to the brown-eyed brunet. What annoyed her more than anything was now she had to come up with some other way to try to be useful.

An opportunity presented itself sooner than she expected. After the general scolded his captain for taking on more of the enemy than he could handle, urging him to call for help in the future if he needed it, Alex proceeded to mention a bruise salve located in a greenhouse. Tress assumed this was his response to Witherite's request for bruise balm. She could go get that.

"I'll be right back," she told the room at large before heading toward what she guessed was the back door of the house. She had no idea in what direction the greenhouse was, but she thought she might be able to spot it if she was outdoors. Once she stepped out, though, she noticed the Chaos Guardian from earlier and picked up her pace to match the feline's. "Please pardon my encroachment, but may I assist you somehow?"

Kit listened attentively as Alex spoke, intrigued by the other man's perspective. So it seemed not all generals approved of each others' methods regarding how to deal with Order beings. Schörl had seemed off to him - a few crayons short of a full box - but he couldn't be sure how other generals compared to her. For all he knew, she and Cinnabar could have been the standard, but Cinnabar herself seemed messed up due to being part youma.

"That makes sense. As an organization, the Negaverse can't be divided among themselves or it would make you more vulnerable." He cocked his head. "Though, out of curiosity, may I ask how you might have dealt with the situation in the other general's stead?"

The teen nodded in both agreement and acknowledgement of Alex's points regarding why the Saturn Knight wouldn't have been of much use to the Negaverse corrupted. It had certainly seemed to be more of a vengeful endeavor of the two female generals rather than anything actually beneficial to them or their cause.

"It's nice to know the Negaverse also has those who care about their own," Kit commented. "I haven't gotten to meet many agents since I was first awakened, so I haven't had a chance to understand things from the perspective of those in your faction." He regarded a few of the other injured agents in the room. "It's a shame that those of the Order seem so unwilling to perceive Chaos beings as anything like them. At least from my experience in dealing with them."

At the mention of 'Dark Mirror's children," Kit couldn't help but laugh. "'Children', are we? Is that how you think of us? I know our court is small, but I'd like to think we can hold our ground. You sound like you know Remarque well, though, to refer to him by such a nickname." He shrugged. "I don't know how much he cares about the other Dark Mirror senshi, but even if he does, I don't know if he'd willing to risk drawing unwanted attention from either of the other, larger factions just because one or two of his own court might be in trouble. I feel more like we each do our own thing. But maybe that's just me."

Listening to Tress he sighed lightly. He knew what she was saying and he knew others were like that, he knew what he’d done went against almost all natural instincts. But he cared for his team and for the other officers of the Negaverse as well, they were a team and he didn’t like the idea of leaving people behind when he could help them. They needed everyone they could have in this war and every member had a place….had value to the whole. He didn’t say any of this though, maybe later he would. Maybe later he’d try and bring her into his team and she’d learn this about him.

Watching her go off to get the bruise salve he mentioned he smiled lightly. It was nice to see so many people here and working together, even if it was an slightly organized yet chaotic manner.

“Indeed, it would leave weaknesses for the enemy to see - I won’t do that. I may not agree with others, everyone has their own opinions and methods, but I won’t allow weakness to show if I can help it. I’ll support others in order to show a unified front.” He’d set his own thoughts and such aside in order to do what he had to for the whole - for the Negaverse. He might voice his thoughts, as he was now, but he’d still do as he had earlier during the battle. He would still help as he had with watching and meeting with the knight.

“Me?” He asked sighing lightly, taking the time to think things over. “First...I don’t like forcing a corruption on anyone, though I am guilty of having done it before. I do try not to. It can lead to a new agent being resentful and doing nothing, being a useless member who doesn’t pull their own weight and possibly becoming a hazard to have around. It could also lead to an agent who informs against you and the whole...which is no good.” Waving his hand lightly he hissed in pain, forgetting for the moment about how messed up his shoulder actually was. “Neither option is good. You could also wind up with someone who tries to take you out. Rather than inform against you and the Negaverse they try and kill fellow officers or severely hurt them - as a form of revenge. None of those options are good.” Though he’d risked those things a few times...and had been lucky thus far save for perhaps Bishofite. That was a whole different mess though.

“There are ways to gather information without torture. That doesn’t work, history has shown that. I’d rather use kindness...manipulation. Let them think you are a friend to them...keep them close and protect them. In private talk to them and gather information.” And as he spoke he looked to his cousin. God...he was showing his darker side to his own older cousin. He almost wondered if there would be some talk later on between them...about how he spoke so easily of these things and how easily, and willing, he was to manipulate and use people and talked about how useless people could be. He felt...odd speaking like this around his cousin, it was the first time he was showing his true nature.

“I don’t mean to call you children but the court...I was a Captain when Remmy became a dark mirror senshi...I remember when I believe it started. I’ve been in this war six years now...so perhaps I feel old at times. But we are all young really...and Remmy is protective of his court - I know that about him. We know each other well enough...I like to shop at his antique store - you can ask him what my weakness is and he’ll tell you.” Laughing hurt but laugh he did, despite the pain. He couldn’t help it as his lips twitched up into a bright smile, making him look younger than he was, as he sat there smiling. “I care for my team. I brought them into this war - they are mine to keep safe and train so they can keep themselves safe. Even those who are older than me.” A look to Richard, Ryan and his own cousin who were all older than him...and larger as well.

“I agree. Remmy wouldn’t risk the dark mirror court and its few members - they are too precious to him. I’m willing to help the court and its members though, as a friend to Remmy and something of a passing acquaintance to Leto as well. If you need help...want training or information - I’m open to helping as is my team.” He would offer what he could to the other to help, and not just because he was one of Remmy’s dark mirror senshi...but they were both serving chaos and were on similar sides.

Then he looked to Tom. “If he needs further medical...we’ll make sure he gets it. Don’t worry.” Nodding his head once as he shifted a bit. He was in pain, yes, but he was managing to suffer through it in order to try and answer questions, talk, and address whatever needed addressing.

Looking up from where she was in the backyard, approaching the large-ish green house and it’s flap door for her, and the dogs in the house, Katya was surprised see someone coming her way. “Assistance would be very nice actually. It’s better than packing those salvs he has in here into a bag and dragging them into the house.” It would risk breaking containers but it was the best she could do as a cat.

“If we go inside to the left is a small sink and cabinet under it. Inside Alexandre keeps bruise salves he makes himself.” She said nodding her little head. It would be obvious he had a thing for plants once they got into the greenhouse, it was packed with plants, it was also a good idea of where he got what he needed for the small jars of salves he produced. He grew his own plants and made everything himself - quality control was assured.

“I’m Katya, it is a pleasure to meet another officer.”

Quote:
He lay on the couch listening to the goings on around him. He wasn’t surprised by the lieutenant he grabbed words, but things like what he did gained loyalty of comrades, even if they thought you were stupid. In his defense, he had no idea, it would wipe him so badly to teleport with her … he didn’t consider how much it took to summon two youma to aid him.

He chuckled and raised a tired arm, “mine was one of those he’s guilty of … didn’t exactly want this … spent the first several months purposely annoying Bossman. He endured and well things worked out in the end … as can be seen.”

He groaned and moved to sit up, with what every little energy he had covered so far. It was awkward to just lie on the couch, especially if was going to talk to the others. It felt at the moment almost like a team meeting of sorts. Not to mention, he didn’t know much about the mirror senshi. Only thing he knew, or thought he knew was that they weren’t exactly allies?

The way Beni talked though, it showed him, that maybe that wasn’t exactly the case. Personally he didn’t care so long as the mirror senshi didn’t hinder them majorly. They weren’t his concern or his priority. He sank against the back of the couch relaxing into the kitchen. “I could really go for a pizza right now,” he said, but looking around at all the others he amended, “or 6.”

He chuckled, “and maybe some hot totties … bossman … tell me you have whiskey!”

Quote:
Richard thanked Kayta for showing him where everything was then got to work on fixing a variety of drinks, not completely sure what everyone would want or need at this point of time. He did however try to make sure there was a good amount of highly caffeinated or high in sugar content type of drinks, figuring they would all need some pick me ups after the battle. Once he had a decent amount ready, with more on the way he picked up one of the trays pointed out by the guardian cat and filled it up. That done he walked back into the living room and started to pass out drinks carefully. “At the moment the coffee is just instant kind but the real stuff is brewing.” He said.

It was interesting to listen to both what had been going on as well as to learn a bit more about the mirror court but Hux could have gone without learning just how far his little cousin was willing to go. He didn’t say anything about it now, keeping his worries for Alexandre to himself for the time being and instead took the time to pull out his phone and send a message to the rest of Tink’s team to let them know there was a gathering here and if they wanted to come they were more than welcome but if they didn’t want to or couldn’t make it then they needed to send word on their health since there had been a fight and he wasn’t sure who all was involved. If nothing else he was sure that Alexandre would appreciate the updates on the rest.

When he was done with that he gave Ryan a thoughtful look before he started to head out of the room. “I’ll be right back.” He said to no one in particular. It wasn’t long before he returned with his laptop and he sat down on the floor close to his cousin. “Might as well feed everyone who is here then, I’m sure you all need the food after the fight. Everyone want pizza or would something else be prefered?”

Tom checked the splint once again to make sure it was secure before moving over to Alex and checking his injuries. The bandaging wasn’t bad, she did a nice job cleaning him up, and Forsterite had taken most of the glass out. But unfortunately, Alex would be needing stitches. Luckily though there seemed to be a kit for it in the first aid box. “Well, even with the salve this is probably going to hurt a bit.” He said to Alex as he made sure the needle and thread were clean before starting to work on the main wound, the shoulder. He was sure that it hurt, but this was something that even with their faster healing would need some help.

He listened to the chatter going on around him, and was surprised at how serious the lieutenant was. From what he had seen and whom he had met so far, he was surprised someone who was on the general’s team would so business-like when it came to being a member. He wondered how long she had been at this, she was at least more serious than he was, and he couldn’t fault her for that. Though with the others’ responses, the atmosphere still stayed relaxed and he couldn’t help grinning a little. It was nice to be in such company.

He frowned a little when Alex mentioned having forced corruption before. He really felt like muttering including me under his breath, but decided against it. The less people knew about it the better he supposed.

The mention of pizza sounded good though. But the drinks got his attention for a bit. “If one of those drinks is hot chocolate I would love to have some please. It’s all right if you don’t have any though.” He nodded at Hux. “Pizza is fine to me, but I’m up for almost anything at this point.” And with that he focused on continuing the stitching for Alex. “It’s not too bad, but it will definitely be sore for a while and I would avoid using it as much as possible over the next few days.”

Quote:
Setting aside differences for the sake of the whole…what an interesting notion. Ptolemy was pretty sure that not even the Order beings were unified enough to practice that idea, but perhaps he was simply basing his assumptions on the stereotype that they were all self-righteous, arrogant people who thought they and they alone knew and were doing what was best for the world. They were just so vocal about their opposition against Chaos, but how ironic that the Negaverse, in its unity, seemed to be more organized than the Order faction itself.

Perhaps this was one reason Scholomance had been so certain that the Negaverse was undefeatable. Ptolemy still stood by his belief that the Negaverse itself, though, wasn't the enemy. They must have just seemed like it to their opponents because in their unity, it was easy for others to ignore the fact that the organization was made up of individuals who each had their own opinions and beliefs that clashed with the majority. If the Order faction could see Negaverse agents as individuals rather than one, single, terrifying entity that was meant to be wiped out, perhaps they could identify with them better.

Obviously agents like Alex were able to do so with the knights and senshi, recognizing several individuals in particular, sharing history with them, and even, it seemed, begrudging them a certain respect. After all, it was odd to think about, but just because you hated or wanted to kill someone didn't mean you couldn't respect them or certain aspects of them as a person.

Kit pondered what situation might have caused someone who didn't like forcing corruption on people to do exactly that. "Huh…I guess I assumed forcing corruption on someone automatically made them loyal to the Negaverse," he admitted with a sheepish grin, reaching up to run a hand through his hair. "And I guess I thought that since I've heard there's a certain amount of memory-loss involved, I assumed those who'd been corrupted wouldn't retain the memories required to hold a grudge or subsequently seek revenge. Remarque, when he first awakened me, mentioned something about the Negaverse brainwashing people and I thought corruption might have been what he was referring to. There's so much I want to ask you about and learn, but I know you're exhausted and this probably doesn't make for a very good first impression conversation." He lay his head back, beaming. "Plus I guess you don't really have any reason to give me information just because I'm curious and I ask."

“Manipulation to gather information, hm…?” Attempting to sit up a little straighter in his chair, he asked musingly, "So have you known that I'm a Dark Mirror Senshi? Or did you just mention them just now to see if I would respond to their name? I wasn't sure if Richard cleared it with you before bringing me here, but I apologize if you're only finding out now. Huntite didn't say not to mention it, so I figured he trusts your judgement." The teen shrugged. "Or maybe you're hoping to find out more from me by being so hospitable. I'm well aware you don't have to be cruel to someone to take advantage of them. But if that's how you play, I'd prefer we both be honest with each other and set all the cards on the table upfront."

Looking around at the room at large to emphasize the fact that he had nothing to hide from any of them, the teen began, "My name is Kit Paine. I also go by Sailor Ptolemaeus, Dark Mirror Senshi of Change." He chuckled lightly. "I agree with the idea that manipulation tactics, especially through kindness, are more effective than torture, but from what I saw of them, the two generals Schörl and Cinnabar are just sadistic people who enjoy causing pain. It's easier, too, to use force than to take the time and effort to gain trust bit by bit, especially at the risk of actually starting to develop a meaningful relationship with them and risking your whole plan being sabotaged by your guilt in the end. But I do think, if you can manage it, the payout is higher, so that's admirable." He spread his arms in an open gesture.

"In my case, though, I assure you there's no need for manipulation. If you want something from me, just ask - like information on the outcome of the battle, for instance. I don't mind being used as a means to an end. And anyway, manipulation tactic or not, I already feel indebted to you for allowing me into your home and giving me medical treatment." Looking to Tom, he winked. “Oh, don’t worry about me, cupcake. You already did such a fantastic job patching me up and I’ve been hurt worse than this even before I became a senshi. I’ll be fine, really.”

Kit raised his brows at the general, still grinning. “Ask ‘Remmy’ your weakness? If he’s close enough to you to know it, why would he share that?” Kit inquired, puzzled, now, as to what kind of bond the pair had with each other. Were they friends? Enemies? Frienemies? “Not that I’d ask. If I’m to find out someone’s weakness, I like to learn about them first-hand. People are too interesting not to try to get to know directly if possible.”

At Alex’s offer to help him, Kit’s grin still held, but his dark eyes flashed the general’s way with a peculiar look in them - as if challenging him. Or giving warning. “That’s very gracious of you, sir. However, for the same reason I doubt Remarque would back me up, I’d suggest you keep your protection and your assistance limited to your team, or at least be fully aware of what you’re getting into before you offer them to me.

“Whatever light my court might be viewed in, I personally like to consider myself neutral in loyalty, if not in uninvolvement. My beliefs and actions, separate from my court’s as a whole, aren’t exactly the wisest - hence how I ended up being attacked by both sides in this last battle. I’d hate for anyone other than myself to suffer for my foolishness. You all have your own fights to worry about and ideals to protect without concerning yourself with mine.” He closed his eyes again as he rested his head back against the chair. “I was doing my best to get Scholomance free of your organization, after all. To have tried to aid me in my selfish undertakings would have already gone against your rule of not opposing your own faction.

“Not that I’m against said faction or in league with the White Moon. It’s just that, like you, I didn’t think it would have been right to forcibly change a person against their will no matter what side they’re on. And...maybe it might sound ludicrous, but I wonder if one day, we - the Dark Mirror, the White Moon, the Negaverse - can’t all come to some sort of mutual understanding.” All this talking after the fighting had tired him out more than he would have thought possible, but Kit felt certain things needed to be gotten out into the open early on.

When Richard re-entered the room, Kit smiled at him before it was disrupted by a wide yawn. “Coffee with pizza? That’ll be entertaining. What a party this is turning out to be.” His grin broadened. “Too bad coffee makes me sleepy.”

Glad for Tom's attention the ashen blond reached up, with his good hand, and gently ran his fingers through the others hair as he dropped his voice for just the other to hear. "I am sorry for that night. I am glad to have you but I do apologize." It was words for only the other to hear, words he would understand, especially given his previous statements tonight.

Picking up his voice, just a bit, he watched the other thread the needle and sighed. "Done this before. Last time hurt like a b***h - so I'll grit my teeth and bare it." Or just grab a pillow to bite into and listen to those around him as he was stitched up. "She left the one large glass shard...back of the calf. That'll need stitching too no doubt..." He added before he did grab for a pillow, moving his hand from the others hair in order to do so. Pulling it in close so he could sink his face into it to muffle himself. He'd not taken pain medication so this was going to hurt like a b***h.

He didn't answer his cousin, knowing he'd figure pizza or anything else was fine for him. it wasn't something he'd normally eat...but he'd go with it. To Ryan he managed one quick response, before the needle pierced his skin. "I don't drink. If we have anything ask Hux." A simple answer from the blond...right before he buried his face in the pillow and bit into it in order to muffle the first sounds of pain which escaped him.

Trying to focus on the dark mirror senshi's words he held tight to the pillow, his hold shaking with effort, as needle moved and thread moved and brought skin close to gether again. ******** did it hurt. He sat there shaking and with tears gathered in his eyes but not falling - yet. The sounds he made were between cries of pain and whimpers, sometimes punctuated by something else louder.

Listening to Kit all he could do at the moment was shake his head, or nod it, at certain parts. For the part about corruption making someone loyal he shook his head...the same for memory loss. That didn't happen unless he helped in corrupting someone who had awakened to the other side already. He didn't say that though - couldn't.

A few deep breaths, pushing the pain down for a few scant moments, he lifted his head from the pillow. "Corruption doesn't remove memory. Only if they already were awakened...just onto the other side. White moon corrupting to Negaverse - then yes." His face again moved to the pillow, though he gave a thankful look to Tom, glad to have the others help - even if it hurt.

He wanted to tell the other that yes, he was exhausted but he'd answer things...as he could anyway. There would always be things he couldn't, and wouldn't, tell people but he was as open as he could be generally speaking. He didn't want stupid officers and the dark mirror did, and had, on occasion worked with the Negaverse not to mention some members were close to the Negaverse...while others seemed close to order. They were a mix bag really, and he wondered where this one stood.

Holding up his good one, the one which was not attached the arm which was being stitched up, he held up two fingers. He hadn't been told what the other was, he had figured it out though. So rather than just hold them up he moved them from side to side as someone would when saying maybe with there hands.

This time when he lifted his head he was smiling. "Kit...I do not lie - I am not so good at it." He motioned to his elder cousin who knew this. His whole family did...just as his whole family called him Tink...and now he had a feeling Ryan would at the very least.

"I am not playing my games here. I assure you. I have a good relationship with Remmy and wouldn't do so to one of his. Remmy would not be pleased with me if I did. Also, nothing I need to know. This is time to get patched up from a battle - not game time."

Ducking his head again, just in time to cover up another sound of pain, he nodded his head once to the others words. He'd remember that, to keep his assistance to his own team...at least when it came to this one. But he'd still help when and where it was permitted by Kit - like now.

"Doubt the sides will come together...less it's individual fights...or needs...one energy we all have. After that we'd split apart again. It's not meant to be." At least he didn't believe it was. The three factions all working together...coming together and it not be for some singular cause? That wasn't going to happen...not with the history to this war. "Too much history." He added with a shake of his head.

His laughter was cut short, just as it started, as he yelped in pain.

The tawny-haired woman nodded at the guardian cat when she was told that her help would be appreciated. "I don't know how you planned to do it all yourself, but I imagine in that form, there are a great many things you have to get used to finding ways to do on your own."

Not that she would have been able to complete the task independently without Katya, either. Obviously the cat was more familiar with the place and where things were than she was.

Obeying the feline's instructions, Tress asked, "Alexandre is the General's full name? Does he own this property?"

If the man made the salves himself and they were stored in the greenhouse, Tress was willing to bet he created them from the plants he also grew himself. She wondered if this was a hobby or interest of his, or perhaps something to do with an occupation or else necessity. "Has he been making these salves long? It seems like he could make a nice profit off of them."

Gathering several of the jars after examining and smelling a few, she cradled them in her arms and turned back to the guardian. "Tress Gervene. It’s an honor to make your acquaintance, Katya. I hadn't realized guardian cats assisted more than just senshi - unless there was a senshi present at the house and I wasn't aware."

”I was planning to drag them and hope for the best.” She answered honestly. There was no other way really, even if she could take on that Mauvian form, she was stuck as a cat and had to do things as a cat. She had some powers, some magic, but to a large extent she was just that - a cat. “Yes, you learn with time and trying many times and failing a lot as well.” She was working on typing on a keyboard...the keys though and her paws didn’t always see eye to eye on things...same with cell phones. Why couldn’t it all just be bigger for her and pick up on her paws, when it came to cell phones. It would be helpful.

“This is our home.” She said nodding her head. “Yes, Alexandre Evans.” It was once two brownstones but the two had become one so the house was larger and with that came the double backyard so the room for the greenhouse...and a bit of actual backyard. The place was a bit over the top with decore, obviously he had spent a lot on the place, but it fit him as a person.

“He has...as long as I’ve been here and I know it’s been longer than that.” Katya answered with a flick of her tail. Actually she knew he grew herbs for cooking as well and tea plants so he could make tea blends, though he himself didn’t drink tea. He made it for friends and family who did...since it was all in small batches.

“Alexandre is good with plants - always has been.” Sitting down as she watched Tress gather the various jars, sniffing some of them, she shook her head. “No, no corrupted there. We help the Negaverse in general though our speciality are the senshi within our ranks. We assist in their awakening, provide them their pen and there sphere. We identify them. But we serve the Negaverse as a whole, so we assist everyone if we can.” She happen to have a soft, and possessive, spot for the corrupted senshi but officers she loved as well. She had visited Tom more than once, and she would continue to visit him and expand to visiting the others.

“Cuprite, Hudson, also lives here and is Alexandre’s older cousin. So if you need anything you can always come here for help...just don’t let Alexandre’s partner find out - he’s a civilian….and the intent is for him to stay that way - to stay in the dark.” She understood and knew why...Alexandre didn’t want Aiden involved in the fighting...he was a weakness of sorts, something which would be distracting in a battle. It made sense.
