Super Sailor Myrrha

Well, wasn't this peachy?

Falling endlessly with others around her Myrrha could not even fathom what had happened to her. It was all too sudden. There was nothing to cling to in this continuous free fall unless she attempted to grab onto the nearest person and somehow the Super Senshi of Scents didn't think that would be greatly appreciated. It was with growing alarm that she realized that there was something rapidly approaching. A black cloud that she rapidly passed through that clogged her airway and caused her to cough uncontrollably.

Although seemingly incapacitated by the black smoke Myrrha could still make out the outline of something rapidly approaching and she braced herself for the impact that would surely follow. Upon impact Myrrha still winced a little as she straightened her posture and glanced around at those that she could see. Broken fragments of mirror twinkled around the platform upon which she stood but Myrrha didn't have much time to gather information about wherever the heck she was. A loud cracking sound reverberated in her ears and with horror she realized that hairline fractures where appearing in the platform. Seeing a pathway leading away Myrrha stepped onto it and began to jog carefully. She didn't want to jostle anyone off the path but fear did begin to cloud her thinking.

Katrina (-1)

Wonderland had just gotten weirder.

The tumble found her stumbling, landing harder than she had expected. She couldn't see anything around her as the last bit of smoke faded, coughing in an attempt to clear it from her lungs. Danny. Danny had been there somewhere, and yet....

"Danny!" She called out only to be pushed down by someone else scrambling past her. Oh, <******** this. ******** the mirrors and the room and the white floor that she'd landed so hard on. ******** the unknown and the misery of mystery.

Katrina pushed herself up off of the floor with a groan, winded and aching as she took off after everyone else along the path. Slowly.

Eta, Mauvian (0)

It was easy enough for the slender feline to get lost among the fray as she fell. She landed on her feet, naturally, but that didn't change how jarring it had been to fall, or how anxious she suddenly was at having lost not one but two senshi and another cat.

Oh, this was awful.

At least she had managed to convince Thisbe to let she and Itsuki work on her henshin pen. Whatever happened she had the knowledge that somewhere Thisbe had a bit more strength with which to defend herself.

Thisbe, Super Senshi of Woe (+1)

One minute they were standing around, tired and talking about Mauvian tech and god knows what else just to stay awake, the next they were falling. Falling, I'm falling... It was an inopportune time, if any, to get a song by the Offspring stuck in one's head, but there it was, picking up as she hit the ground.

Have you ever walked through a room, but it was more like the room passed around you...

Accurate, really, as she fell through the smoke, wondering if this was how Alice felt like as she tumbled down after the White Rabbit. She was going to have to think again about her Halloween Costume ideas. Maybe she didn't want to be Alice this year.

Thisbe huffed as she hit the ground, rolling to her feet before taking off before the platform collapsed beneath her.

No, Pisces had not expected this. The Zodiac Senshi had actually not planned to Henson at all, but one moment, her sister was around. The next, well.

The girl powered at any rate, and was readying to find help when the Senshi was sucked in a mirror herself and stood, looking before rushing for Jeanette.

Allison [civilian]: 1 - 1 = 1

Before all of this happened, Alli was having a rather enjoyable day with Chris-- and while she was always up for an adventure she wasn't quite ready to be thrown head first into a weird, powered thing. Couldn't she have just eased back into things? It was one thing to be stuck in a weird room with her friend. It was another thing entirely to be falling through the air while a thick smoke harassed her lungs and stung at her eyes.

Convinced this must have somehow been the Negaverse's doing, Allison quietly accepted her fate. Until she hit the ground. Hard. Like, really, really hard. There was a loud groan as she rolled onto her back and stared up at the black space above them, the mirror shards twinkling in the distance. Was this heaven? Or maybe some sort of weird limbo.... Whatever it was, she definitely hated it, she decided as she wiped blood from her nose from the impact of her face-first fall.

"Chris?," she called out as the rotating platform cracked loudly.

Everyone around her was running (as they should be), while she was frozen in place. The young girl had no idea what on earth to do so all she did in the mean time was shield herself as best as she could so she didn't get trampled while people ran.

Sailor Skadi [first stage]: 6 + 0

She had zero concept of how long she was trapped in the white cell with Oberon, Oort, Chara and the civilian that had appeared. What she did know, however, was that she was frightened and convinced that this was going to be another capture-and-torture situation. While she was pacing the room and allowing the boys to try and figure out what they should do to try and escape, the ground suddenly cracked under their feet.

Skadi tried to reach out, to grab something, anything to keep herself from falling... There was nothing to grab on to, and the floor completely shattered.

This was it. This was how she died. She made it through a kidnapping, torture, youma fights, near-death Negaverse experiences-- and yet this was going to be it. She was going to plummet to her death.

The blunette passed through a smokey thickness, causing her to gasp for air and for tears to spring to her burning eyes before she hit the ground with a thud. Coughing a few times, Skadi used every muscle in her body to push herself to her feet. She managed to gather her wits as she took a quick look around to see the menagerie of people that had fallen and gathered on the rotating platform that cracked loudly. She looked down to see the splinter that was growing and without a second thought, she began to run and follow the crowd while desperately trying to find her friends.

Guardian Cat Hania

Hania had not been expecting to be sucked into a room with no visible way in or out. He was alone in the room so he had paced back and forth as he tried to think how exactly he could get out of this mess, while also worrying about the Senshi he had been heading to meet up with before getting pulled here in the first place. Was Isolda okay? Did Lulu also get pulled into some kind of room too? And if so, did anyone else share the same fate? His pacing didn't last long though as after a time, which he couldn't say how much actually passed, the floor shattered beneath him, sending him falling down.

Falling to his feet wasn't a problem, not seeing how he was a cat, but the smoke he had to pass through in order to reach the floor had him stumbling. It took him a few tries to get to his paws as he had to cough a few times to clear his lungs of the smoke. Once he was standing he looked around at the assortment of other's gathered. It seemed like faction didn't matter to whoever or whatever captured them.

The Guardian Cat stood there for a moment as the other's started to move, eyes darting around before catching sight of a few very familiar Senshi. Hania darted passed civilian and powered a like to reach the two young women, trying his best not to get stepped on by those heading to the path. "Isolda! Kaye! You bother were caught as well?" He asked though it was a obvious question. The black cat quickly moved close to Isolda's legs so he wouldn't get stepped on.

Lt. Cuprite

It had been a relatively simple night when Hux had found himself caught. He had went out to gather energy after finished grading papers only to find himself caught in a room empty of anything other then himself. He couldn't say how long he had been trapped in the room but a few random civilian's ended up joining him at some point or another before the floor shattered. The landing hadn't been fun over all but it hadn't been hard to pick himself up off the ground to look around.

The mix of factions was a surprise and he looked around for anyone he might know, though with the crowd starting to move to the only available path it made it a bit hard to pin point people out so far. Still he moved with the crowd knowing it was for the best to keep moving, and hopefully there would be a way out soon. By now he imagined his little cousin was rather worried depending on just how long he had been away, if Alexandre hadn't been caught as well that is and if that was the case then there would be double the cause for worry.

Roll 1: 5

General Benitoite

Hudson had gone missing, no warning given, and he was worried. He'd been gone for days and Alexandre hadn't had a clue where his elder cousin had gone - and he was worried. Kidnappings were not unheard of and his cousin had gone missing when he'd gone out to gather energy on his own, assuring Alexandre that he could do it on his own. He had trusted him, his cousin was older, apparently something had happened.

Each night he went out, powering up, to try and locate his cousin. He heard nothing, no whispers of kidnappings but he knew others were missing. other people had gone missing and it wasn't just officers either. It seemed that something was going on, something magical, and it was affecting everyone regardless of rank or faction...it was unsettling. Such things never ended well - ever.

While walking along one of the roads in the city, his hands in his pockets, the blond turned to glance into a mirror as he'd caught sight of something from the corner of his eye. He was not expecting to be sucked into a mirror, that was not in his skill set, and yet he found himself falling...and falling...and choking then on some sort of smoke...and then landing on the ground.

The landing was...less than pleasing but it could have been worse. He had landed on his feet but that was rather jarring and his poor knees did not like that one bit. However as he glanced about he sighed - lovely...just...damn it. Senshi and knights and so many signatures all around. He'd found the missing people....lovely.

While looking though the ground had decided it was time to start breaking under their feet and being close to the way off this dangerous bit of ground he had no problem reaching safety and running for safety...and wherever this path would take them.

Eternal Sailor Chaldene

While he was running he was sure he heard a voice, a very familiar one, and stopped and went to turn back and find the owner of that voice. Moving around and nearly slamming into someone the eternal senshi was soon able to spot familiar blond hair. Calling out, waving a hand, he hoped he was heard over the rest of the noise going on around them.

"Antares!" Great...she was here. It wasn't that he disliked her, he really didn't, it just threw more responsibility onto his shoulders. He already carried some on his shoulders as an eternal, no matter how much he may dislike it, but to have a family member here....he had to keep her safe. She might not be blood related but it didn't matter, she had been adopted by the family which he was living with....she was family.

It also made him wonder if Lily or Rose or even Xander were also here - he hoped so. If they were here it would make things easier, especially Lily. He could let Lily take control and he could back her up, since they both were eternals and she had far more experience.

"Antares! Get over here!" They would keep together, or so he hoped.

As the group ran, the distant sky seemed to occasionally flash with a bit of white light. Faint walls of smoke, like clouds, seemed to dance across the sky eerily. Unlike the black smoke they had fallen through, these were strangely colored and appeared in various shades of blue and purple and green. There was something haunting about this place; it had the sensation of being both expansive and suffocating.

The narrow path trembled; chunks fell behind them as the group hastened to avoid plummeting to what might have been their demise.

Very shortly into their run, the path splintered into three paths: one stairwell that led up, one path that continued to lead straight, and one stairwell that led down. There was nothing particularly distinctive about any of the. There were no railings or detail; they just seemed like carefully placed blocks hovering in the middle of empty space. The closer the group got to the split paths, the narrower their path grew. At its thinnest, it seemed to be just barely a foot wide—thankfully, the three different paths will thin the crowd a bit and give you a little more space to move.

Something calls to you from one of these paths; hopefully you wind up on the right one…

Quote:
You cannot necessarily make out which path seems the most effective to take, but you trust your gut instinct and follow one. Roll one ten-sided dice to determine how your character progresses!

1-3: You choose the straight, narrow path. It isn’t a hard trek, but you have to be careful so you don’t fall off.
4-7: You choose the stairs leading upwards. Maybe higher ground will grant you a better vantage? You are met with only darkness, but it is easy to skip two steps at a time and hasten your trip.
8 or higher: You choose the stairs leading downward; it takes the least energy and you are able to advance quickly.

Rank Bonus: Depending on what stage your character has reached, you may add the following bonus to your roll! This bonus will apply for every prompt! Civilians are the only faction that is disadvantaged by this, but due to the draining of Mirrorspace they are not as effective in this domain as powered characters! Sorry, civs!

Civilians: -1
Cats (in Mauvian Form), First Stage Characters: 0
Youma, Cats (in Humanoid Form), Second Stage Characters: +1
Cats (in Senshi Form), Third Stage Characters: +2
Fourth Stage Characters: +3

Please keep a tally of your total points in bold red at the bottom of your post! If you miss a roll, you can make it up, but any late roll will have two points deducted from the number.

You can choose to have your character fall off the pathway at any point in time, though they will fall in slow motion and then seem to disappear into a strange black smoke. A later prompt will reveal your fate. You cannot roll for any prompts if you decide to have your character fall off the path.

If your character is sticking with a partner or group and your dice rolls would force you to separate, the player with the highest roll can choose to sacrifice points on their roll to lower them to the same path as their partner. For example, if your partner has a total of two and is forced down path a, and you have a total of five, you would need to sacrifice two points to put you at the 1-3 roll tier. This can be indicated with an OOC note to inform us what you are doing, as well as applying the deduction you voluntarily claim in your character’s total!

Andalusite

Andalusite scowled when he felt the elbow in his side and scanned the three choices, taking a big step towards the stairs, and then changing his mind at the last moment, going straight ahead and once more grabbing the other lieutenant’s hair in his hand. “Don’t think you can ******** get past me. In fact, I’m pretty sure that the Negaverse is going to be better off without you, so, ******** off, asshat.” He dragged the other male onto the narrow walkway and reached out, shoving him hard in the chest. Sure, it might have been wrong to attack someone who was on his side of things…but this guy was a creep, and he was obviously doing everyone a favor by shoving him off of the ledge.

…of course what he didn’t plan on was losing his own footing as something knocked into him, he wasn’t sure what it was, but suddenly it was himself falling off the edge, still holding onto the Amesite’s hair, though this time he was holding on for dear life.

There was a goal in Jane's mind as her small frame slipped between rushing bodies. Were circumstances different, then perhaps she would have stop to assist some of the struggling but as she was barely grasping what the hell was happening, she was more focused on getting the hell out.

Jane had no doubt that Harold was causing havoc at her tea shop in her absence.

She had to make it out to be able to put him in his place.

When she found the stairs she descended down them without second thought, braid bouncing along her back.

Themisto (+ 1), Itsuki (cat form, 0), Kallichore (+ 2), Caleb (-1), Sutai (+ 1) in that order

Branching paths?! What the hell was this, some obstacle course? Themisto couldn't think straight enough to curse the gods or the mirror-walkers or whoever else plopped him in this situation. Thank the sorting hat for better shoes, but he needed a stiff drink.

---

Itsuki was too short and too small and too cute to be trampled to death. His tiny mewling cries were drowned out by the screaming and noise of feet on the path and he tried desperately to grab onto the nearest person and climb - not only for safety, but for air!

----

She'd been in situations like this before, whether Kallichore liked it or not. Running meant survival and if she didn't survive, well... how could she continue to try and help Scylla and Nephthys and Themisto? She couldn't give up. Ares couldn't win.

---

Caleb was a hairdresser, not a sprinter. Thank god for sensible shoes, but running like this in jeans with all these other people? Could he power up here? No, too dangerous, but the panic was setting in.

---

Sutai was crying and bouncing like a pinball through the crowd, trying to reach a further position. What could she possibly do, as a lowly squire who couldn't even save two Pages??

Amesite

Leave it to Tobias to throw a temper tantrum and blow everything out of proportion.

He locked eyes with the lieutenant, mildly horrified at the concept that his brother had just pushed him off a ledge—with no ground in sight.

Only, he’d sabotaged himself.

Amesite was scared to fall again, but the deep, rolling satisfaction of watching his brother fail was too beautiful not to savor. If it was the last thing he got to see in this life, he was going to relish it.

A grin curled onto Amesite’s face, satisfied in his brother’s misfortune.

…If only the little s**t would get his hands out of his hair, though, that would make this final memory so much more pleasant.

Tobias had to ruin everything.

He tried to grab the ledge, missed, and then just growled as he tried to uncurl Tobias’ fingers from his hair. “Now look what you’ve done,” he seethed—just before they fell through a wall of smoke and disappeared.
