User ImageName: Eunkyung Lee (Or in the east it would be Lee Eunkyung. Just putting it here for the sake of it. )

Pronunciation: oon KYOONG

Note: Eunkyung means - composed of elements meaning “silver” and “graceful”.

Nickname: Eun (to Americans); Those younger than her can call her sunbae or eonni and those older call her hubae also or they can use the term dongsaeng.
Note: Sunbae/ hubae/ Eonni/Dongsaeng/Noona: Age differences are important in South Korea. It stems from the Confucian concept of filial piety and respecting your elders. As a result:
Sunbae: Senior. (You say it to a senior/someone who has more experience in anything).
Hubae: Junior. (You say it to anyone who has less experience in anything).
Both sunbae and hubae are primarily used in the workplace and school. Both are gender neutral and show that the two involved are not that close.
Eonni: What girls say to older sisters or girls older than themselves that they are close to. This is for people who are close to each other.
Dongsaeng: younger siblings.
Noona: A younger male would call an older female this.
These can use these as suffixes to her name, or you can just call them by those words alone.

Nationalities: South Korean.

Korean Age: 21

Birthday: September 29th

Sign: Libra

Height: 5'4"

Weight: 105 pounds

Fav. Food: Kimchi, elephant fish (yes, it is a thing), kkak-dugi (radish kimchi), and Galbijim Deokbaegi with rice.

Hated Food: Greasy fast food, too much grease and it upsets her stomach.

School: Destiny City University

Hobbies:

  • Wandering: Most wouldn’t think this a hobby but it seriously is! Rather than running like some people do you could say Eun-Kyung goes wandering, or walking, it’s usually fairly aimless with no destination in mind. She’ll go out late at night, typically sometime after dinner, and just let her feet guide her. She keeps her phone with her, as she’s had to more than once find her way home from these wanderings, but she enjoys the time out and alone where she can clear her head and just relax and enjoy the calm of the night. She has found interesting shops during these wanderings of hers, which she always makes note of on her phone, but typically she just finds comfort in wandering about the city enjoying the time to herself. It’s not that she dislikes, or had anything against, going out and wandering during the daylight hours but it defeats the purpose somewhat as more people are out and about and the city is more alive, and she is looking for the peace and quiet which the nighttime can offer her better. It’s rare that someone will join her, whether they join her in the middle of her wanderings or they go out with her, but it isn’t an unwanted thing most of the time. It’s just something which rarely happens. This also serves as a good form of exercise, not that she really thinks about this honestly.

  • Myths and Fairytales: It’s a nice escape from the harsh world around them in which they live; really it is. But beyond that the stories are just lovely, especially fairytales and the classics. Myths however are a bit of a different thing. I mean the basic storylines used in myths are used over and over again even in modern times, it’s really interesting. But more than anything these stories serve as a nice escape into another world, something she never minds sharing with other people as everyone needs an escape every now and again - right? She doesn’t think she’s a princess, nor does she or has she ever wanted to be one, but the idea of them is very nice. She’s taken to collecting myths and fairytales to put onto her bookshelf, this includes myths and legends from various cultures and countries. She does prefer the “nicer” stories but she’s not too picky as to where she wouldn’t put something on her shelf because it’s a bit “darker”. Some of these books she’s had to buy online but whenever she can find one at a local book store Eun becomes overjoyed, it’s one less book to order and wait for, and she’s become a bit well known at some of the local book stores because she stops in on a fairly regular basis. This has lead to some conversations with some of the workers, some think she’s rather childish for liking such books meanwhile she’s sixteen, whilst others don’t care or even understand. She’s never really had a long discussion, or even one lasting more than a few minutes, about her collection of books so she’s never been able to really get into things or even make suggestions or have them made to her. This isn’t to say she wouldn’t make suggestions or really get into discussing things with people, she just hasn’t found anyone all that interested.

  • Internet Surfing: Ever wonder how she knows little bits of information about all kinds of things? It’s really easy when you have the internet at your finger tips and the ability to look up almost anything! One thing, a simple search, can lead to Eun-Kyung searching up several other things as a word she didn’t know was used, some topic she didn’t know was mentioned, or the original thing ties into something else. Either way it’s very common for one thing she looks up to lead into several more searches and many more websites read over as she feeds her curiosity and need to know and understand things. Perhaps one could call her a dump of useless bits of information that likely will never be needed, unless she gets onto some game show. It’s rare when she ever needs to pull out these little bits of information and put them to use, it has happened a few times though in classes or when talking with people.

  • Music: Who doesn’t like music? Eun-Kyung certainly isn’t among the small minority of people who dislike music, as surely it must be a small group. Surprisingly however she’s not just a music fan but she likes to play her music rather loudly and has a tendency to fangirl, in private, over certain groups from back home in Korea. She’s been to concerts, taking her elder cousin with her from time to time, with friends and has been known to blush uncontrollably, squeal, and perhaps on occasion scream for her favorites. It’s not something most would expect of her or even know about her unless they spend enough time in private with her or one of her favorite groups is brought up and she’s unable to contain herself. The manner of which she expresses her love for certain groups, or group members, is typically in the form of blushing, squeals, and other little shy things which she tries to cover up as much as possible so as to not gain attention to herself. She is an E.L.F(Everlasting Friends) and a Shawol (SHINee World) among others (she’s also a V.I.P, Cassiopeia, and EXO-L). She doesn’t care which agency/label a group belongs to or anything else, she doesn’t give into the idea that you can only like certain groups and not others, she likes who and what she likes.

Senshi Alias: Sailor Hamal of Talismans

Challenge: I suggest you surrender.

Attacks:
Sailor Scout Attack:Talisman of Sparks
As she speaks the first word a slip of bright yellow paper appears between thumb and index fingers. It is as the last word is spoken that markings for “sparks” in bright red symbols appear going down the bit of paper. Holding the talisman out, toward the target (who must be within six feet of Sailor Hamal ), the talisman will dissolve into reddish-orange colored ball energy with bits of yellow paper, which have turned into golden shards, suspended inside.

The orb is then launched forward towards the direction of her opponent at speeds similar to a racquet ball being smashed. Upon contact with a solid object the orb explodes and the flecks of sharp golden flecks of paper burst outward like a firework in a 3’ area around the point of impact. Upon contact with exposed skin the magic sparks will feel like the skin is burning, like being close to an open flame. It may also feel like the magical shrapnel is cutting into the flesh but this sensation is akin to a paper cut. The magic will last for thirty seconds and can be used three times. Players may also choose to sustain lasting damage in the form of paper-cut thin lacerations about two inches long (It will not slice into uniforms), but this is player choice and is an additional chosen affect, not a guaranteed one.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Talisman of Explosions
As she speaks the first word two slips of bright yellow paper appears between her thumbs and index fingers. It is as the last word is spoken that markings for “explosions” in bright red symbols appear going down the bit of paper. Holding the talismans out toward the target (who must be within six feet of Sailor Hamal ), the talismans will dissolve into two reddish-orange colored ball energy with bits of yellow paper, which have turned into golden shards, suspended inside.

The orbs are then launched forward towards the direction of her opponents at speeds similar to a racquet ball being smashed. Upon contact with a solid object the orb explodes and the flecks of sharp golden flecks of paper burst outward like a firework in a 3’ area around the point of impact. Upon contact the magic sparks will cause a character's exposed skin to burn, as though it were being held over an open fire. It may also feel like the magical shrapnel is cutting into the flesh but this sensation is akin to a cut worse than a paper cut, but not something bad enough to need stitches. This magic will last for thirty seconds can be cast three times. Players may aslo choose to sustain lasting damage in the form of deeper lacerations about two inches long (which can now slice through uniforms), but this is player choice and is an additional chosen affect, not a guaranteed one.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Talisman of Combustion.
When this attack is cast Sailor Hamal’s body is covered in glowing red symbols before the magic seems to be sucked into the yellow piece of paper she is holding in her outstretched hand. Pointing at a target standing no more than 10’ from where she is, a blast of hot energy is shot in a general direction.

Upon impact with her target, or a solid object if the person dodges, the talisman explodes in an intense blast of heat that will throw the target, and up to two additional people standing within arms reach of them, backward up to 7’ away depending on the weight of the person/object (300lbs would only go 4’). Like a concussive blast it leave the person feel disoriented and like they got the wind knocked out of them. In addition their exposed skin would feel warm like they just opened an oven.

This attack is meant to do damage and put space between her and the enemy or whoever/whatever Sailor Hamal is trying keeping them from. This attack can be used twice in battle. This attack can also be used on non grounded objects, but it can do damage to whatever object it hits so discretion is a must.

Note: As a talisman is summoned it can in fact be knocked from Sailor Hamal's hand but a new one will just appear, without using one of her attacks turns, and the one removed from her possession will vanish. Until the attack is fully cast it doesn't count as being used.

Hamal, alternatively designated Alpha Arietis (α Arietis, abbreviated Alpha Ari, α Ari), is the brightest star in the northern zodiacal constellation of Aries.

With an apparent visual magnitude of 2.0, it is among the brightest stars in the night sky. Based upon parallax measurements made with the Hipparcos astrometry satellite,Hamal is about 65.8 light-years (20.2 parsecs) from Earth. It is a giant star that may host an orbiting planet with a mass greater than Jupiter.

Alpha Arietis is the star's Bayer designation. It also bears the Flamsteed designation of 13 Arietis.

The traditional name Hamal (also written Hemal, Hamul, Ras Hammel) derives from the Arabic راس الحمل rās al-ħamal "head of the ram", in turn from the name for the constellation as a whole, Al Ħamal "the ram". In 2016, the International Astronomical Union organized a Working Group on Star Names (WGSN)[16] to catalog and standardize proper names for stars. The WGSN's first bulletin of July 2016 included a table of the first two batches of names approved by the WGSN; which included Hamal for this star.

In Chinese, 婁宿 (Lóu Su), meaning Bond (asterism), refers to an asterism consisting of Hamal, β Arietis and γ Arietis. Consequently, Hamal itself is known as 婁宿三 (Lóu Su sān, English: the Third Star of Bond.)

Virtues:
  • Intelligence: Need help with studying for an exam, help with homework? You can ask Eun-Kyung for that help and she’ll be more than happy to help and explain, even simplify, things for you! She’s not the sort to shove her intelligence in your face but it’s there, just under the surface, it really only shows if one looks at exam scores of when a teacher asks her something and she answers in detail (which she almost always done, much to her own embarrassment). This intelligence also shows up at odd little moments when with friends, or family, when she’ll pipe up with some fact or some odd little factoid that someone her age either shouldn’t know or makes one wonder where/how she knows about that topic.

  • Quiet: Eun-Kyung doesn’t like to make a scene, in fact she doesn’t even like to raise her voice at all - ever. It’s not that she can’t raise her voice but it’s that she doesn’t like to. She does not like or want the attention being loud puts on people. She would rather wait until someone directed the topic at her before speaking up. This does allow her to move amongst people, hearing things, without being noticed as she is a quiet individual who doesn’t seek to gain people's attention. It also means she is a wonderful person to tell your darkest secrets to. They will never see the light of day again.

  • Peacekeeper: She has never been one for conflict, she doesn’t like to be on one side or another of an argument. Rather she will take the middle and “play Switzerland” in that she will listen to both, or all, sides and try and help everyone get at least some of what they want while giving a bit as well. Compromise is the name of the game. She tries to keep everyone around her in some form of harmony and not just because it keeps the calm that she needs but how else can people work or function together if they aren’t balanced? This applies to friends, her siblings, and anyone else whom she is close to. She wants those in her life to be in harmony as much as possible.

  • Observant: Because Eun is able to move around rooms and groups of people without being noticed she is able to observe other people, not to mention listen to them, and learn a variety of things many might miss. None of what she finds out is ever used against people, but it is used to help people if possible, she isn’t the sort to blackmail a person or anything of the sort. She just likes to collect information about the people and things around her in order to help herself and others, you learn something new every day - right?

Flaws:
  • Blunt: Would would someone want her to lie to them? To be less than honest? She doesn’t understand this, or she does but she doesn’t see the point in it or how it’s helpful to lie to someone, so rather than lying to someone or even softening the blow Eun-Kyung tells it like it is. She is honest and blunt and often times this means she is ruining someone's happy thought, self imagined fantasy, or bringing someone crashing back to reality in some manner. It also leaves her with insulting people at times, either as an outright insult or by telling someone just how wrong about something they are via correcting them. This has caused more than a few issues, especially with teachers. Her parents have gotten used to this and the few friends she has, or rather the few she’s managed to keep, understand and accept this about her as well. Those who accept this trait have learned to just not ask her certain things unless they really do want the truth.

  • Doormat: Eun-Kyung doesn’t like to make waves, she doesn’t even like to make ripples, so it stands to reason that she follows the lead of others. It’s not that she can’t lead, she’s not stupid nor slow, it’s just that she doesn’t like the limelight and would rather just point out little things from the sidelines while letting others make the grand plans and decide on the overall thing, whatever it may be. The problem however is that Eun is easy to “convince” into doing things for you, or others. Don’t wanna do your part of the group project? Just make enough of a fuss and she’ll take on the extra work. Really she needs someone to keep her from being walked all over, and she knows she lets people walk all over her but it avoids conflict and she really doesn’t want to start a fight over little things.

  • Guilt ridden: She knows what she says can hurt, bother, and anger people and she does feel guilt for everything she says and perhaps this feeds into how soft spoken and shy she can be at times, or rather it does certainly feed into her other behaviors. She isn’t going to apologize but she will second guess things, feel bad for everything she’s said, and hope that people don’t let whatever she’s said guide future interactions between her and them.

  • Skeptic: Seeing and hearing people when they don’t think anyone can has led to Eun-Kyung doubting what people tell her as she knows people don’t always mean what they say, she has seen what people are like behind the mask they wear. She will still help people, and listen to them, but there are always doubts in her mind and she doesn’t take everything at face value; she’s learned to take it all with a few grains of salt. It is because of this that problems have risen between herself and other people as she tends to ask many questions, more than need be, perhaps in order to gain more information and validate things to herself. But also she has been known to hesitate on things because of this skepticism as well and people have become upset with her in the past. It’s not her fault though - people just aren’t that trustworthy, at least not when you’ve seen what people can and are really like. The only people exempt from this are members of her family and those few friends she has who might as well be family, because she’s seen them without the masks and knows she can trust them.

  • It was on the way home from a restaurant outside of Seoul (her parents had just picked her up from her hagwon), they were headed back into the city taking the highway, that the car her father was driving lost control on the wet road. She can't remember everything but she can remember her father shouting and frantically turning the wheel as the car spun. She can remember headlights of incoming cars, cars which had been going in the same direction they were, as the car spun to face the cars. EunKyung can remember the car flipping and coming to rest on it's roof and the sounds of shattering glass and the sounds of traffic and the pitter patter of rain which was such a soothing sound compared to everything else, as if it was mocking them.

She could remember crawling out of the car but she hadn't noticed the glass her hands had gotten cut up on as she got herself free from her seat belt and cracking her head on the roof of the car, as she fell out of her seat once free from her belt, she wriggled around till she could crawl out of the window and make a call for help. She had been frantic and panicked as she sat on the ground, ignoring the glass under her, as she reached out to her mother and told her that help was on the way, to talk to her. Her father was unconscious but her mother had been conscious, at least enough to smile and talk to her...to hold onto her hand until help arrived.

When help arrived she had been able to hang up with the operator and sent a text to Seung, assuming he'd still be awake due to university studies. Her aunt and uncle were most likely sleeping as they'd have work the next day and her younger cousin couldn't do anything. She remembered the quick thoughts racing through her mind as she pulled up her cousins number and sent him the text even as she was being moved away from the car so her mother and father could be gotten out. her mother had remained conscious and smiling, assuring EunKyung that all would be well. To just breath and go with the medics, who were leading her to a third ambulance.

It was later, not too much later, that Seung turned up at the hospital to be with his family. She had been in a hospital bed getting cuts cleaned out, she did wind up needing a few sets of stitches (each set only two or three, maybe four or five stitches in length). It was Seung who held her as they stitched her, as she clung to him crying and rambling on about her parents and being worried for them. They were down a ways in the emergency room being worked on, Seung had to have sped through traffic to get to the hospital so quickly, and her father was brought elsewhere for surgery that a doctor told her about while they were stitching up a cut in the palm of her hand. Her teary eyes had pleaded with the doctor to keep her father safe...and for news on what was wrong that he needed surgery - how was her mother? The man hadn't answered just saying he had to get going to the OR and he would have news for her as soon as possible. News did come...news that her father had suffered sever injuries to his chest and that was why the surgery. The news came from a nurse who told her that her father was still in surgery and they were doing their best, of course. All stitched up and curled into her cousins lap she asked then about her mother, still remembering how her mother had held onto her hand, had remained conscious for her the whole time. Even knowing her daughter had been out of the car she knew her mother must be worried about her, must have been asking about her. The news seemed good, or good enough, to EunKyung as she was told that her mother was also going up for surgery but wasn't as bad as her father. They were both in good hands.

They had wanted to keep her over night, just to observe and make sure she was alright, her cousin was understanding but was going to remain with her. It would have all been fine if just as this discussion was winding down a doctor hadn't shown up, it was the same one from earlier who had told them they were taking her father to surgery. The news...her father was dead. he hadn't made it. The injuries had been too extensive and he had passed on the table, they had tried though - they had tried everything. That was when she was also told her mother was out of surgery and she could go see her even though she was asleep.

With her cousins help, and support, she had gone up to her mothers room to sit with her, vowing that she wouldn't leave her side. The wires and tubes had bothered her at first, worried her even, but her cousin has settled next to her and wrapped an arm about her and informed the doctors that they would both be staying here, in these seats, till morning. He didn't care that his cousin was still a patient herself. She had just lost her father and needed to be with her mother, this had been said even as EunKyung had told her sleeping mother about father while trying to hold back her own tears enough for her words to come out clear.

The last devastating blow had come hours later. Having to go to the bathroom EunKyung had just been shuffling into the bathroom when the wailing sounds of the heart monitor had gone off. Bathroom forgotten she had almost thrown herself at her mothers bed only to have Seung pull her back and hold her tight to his chest as doctors and nurses flooded the room as they tried to save the woman. While she'd been held onto she hadn't noticed her cousin texting his own parents, especially his father, to let them know what had gone on whilst they'd been sleeping and what was still going on. She didn't know her uncle and aunt were on the way to the hospital, leaving her cousin at home sleeping. EunKyung had been focused on her mother, on pleading with her to stay, to not leave her, please don't leave her. She had clung to hr cousin, shaking and sobbing, as they worked on her mother. She hadn't noticed when her aunt and uncle had arrived, she only had eyes for her mother, and it wasn't until in hour into their attempts that they pronounced her mother dead. She couldn't remember the scream which had passed her lips but she could remember her cousins arms about her as she sunk to the floor, her knees having given way, as he held her on the floor as she shook with the strength of her sobbing.

  • It was the next day that her uncle and aunt brought her home, both had called in to take the day off. Her uncle had made funeral arrangements whilst her aunt had gotten bedding for her so she could move into her younger cousins room. Things from home had been brought to her uncles home and put into her younger cousins room as it would now also be her room. Her cousin had been told about everything she'd missed, when this had happened she hadn't known and still didn't, she had spent the day in a fog with things happening around her and doing things but she couldn't remember anything. She just knew things got done.

  • Not wanting to let her parents down, even though they were dead, she had gone back to school the next day and thrown herself back into her studies as she even attended cram school that night. She had worked herself so hard, wanting to lose herself in the work...in the simplicity of it all, that it was a shock to learn soon after that her uncle was taking a position at a branch for the company he worked for. That branch wasn't in South Korea at all but it was in America - Destiny City. He'd said it was perhaps a good thing to leave Seoul, he was aware like everyone else in the family of her nightmares of that tragic night, as it would be a new start for them all as a family.

  • Since the night of her parents death she's clung to her elder cousin as he was there for all of it. He was the rock she needed and she had clung to him throughout the storm. She still needs him and he seems to know it so she gets a little more care from him than his own little sister, not that her little cousin minds as she understands as well.

  • "What's your blood type?"
When you first meet someone in Korea, you will often be asked this question. Unlike the West, Koreans place great importance on a person's blood type. In fact there are even many movies about this subject. In the west people might ask your horoscope, or sign, but most don't take it seriously even though they may know a little about a sign or a bit about each sign. It's not taken too seriously, or at all, by most people. However in Korea blood type is taken seriously enough that most people do know what blood type they are and ask others this question, it can make or break a relationship. There is even an exclusive group in South Korea called Chocoball and it's just for celebrities/idols with type AB blood. Blood type is taken so seriously in South Korea, not that an exclusive club it's serious enough, they have books, comics, songs, and products on sale, all based on the idea of blood type. But to also perhaps demonstrate how serious it is on South Korean Facebook, people can even add their blood type to their profile along with other important personal information.

    Blood Type AB:
    Best Traits:
Cool, controlled, empathic, introverted and rational.
Worst Traits: Aloof, critical, indecisive and unforgiving.
People with blood type AB are known to be either the genius or the psycho ones of the group. While they might look active on the outside, they can be very sensitive and shy, but also extremely loud and strong. They’re rational thinkers with strong concentration skills and are more controlled by their heads rather than their hearts. They can also be shy and aloof, indecisive, and sometimes distance themselves from others, leading some people to think of them as two-faced, untrustworthy, and unpredictable.

Men with type AB blood can often come across as cold and distant on first meetings. However, they’re more caring than most people and are always the first ones to forgive. They give up on things easily, often jumping around from one activity to the next, and adjust to new environments extremely quickly. Because they’re extremely shy people, they tend to hide their feelings and often come across as emotionally detached. People usually don’t associate them with trustworthy characteristics at first, but find that they’re very honest and romantic with those they’re most comfortable with.

Women with type AB blood are often two-faced—they’re very curious about other peoples’ businesses, but hate disclosing any of their own and usually like being left alone. They can be extremely caring and considerate at times, but also very selfish, impatient, and suspicious of other people. They’re more free and unaffected by their surroundings than reserved, and while they might not look like it, they’re extremely vulnerable to their feelings.

Taken from another site: People with blood type AB are hard to categorize because they have both A and B characteristics in them. They are both introverted and extroverted, and they are often viewed as having multiple personalities because they shift from one personality to another. While they enjoy hanging with friends, they need time alone to think to themselves. Sometime they think something too deep and overthink thoughts. They seem very unforgiving as they are precise and tough to themselves and those around them. At the same time, people with blood type AB are very sensitive and very cautious. Koreans usually categorize people with AB as either a genius or an idiot.

  • EunKyung is a good student, a very good student. She was one of the top ranked in her class but it's not something she didn't work for. She spends hours after class at a cram school, unlike her cousins who self study for hours. Her parents thought it would give her an edge on her friends and classmates if she attended one of the top cram schools, they didn't care about the cost as it would help assure and secure her future with a good university, and a good job later on down the road. Her parents knew it was a lot for her, all the work and exam after exam, so they didn't complain when she would wander about Seoul after cram school and come home late or when she would wander on her free nights off (few and far between as they were). They also never complained when her cousin Seung would turn up at their home and take her out for ice cream, food, something to do. They understood his actions, as he'd lost a friend due to all the stress. It was something not spoken about but understood and they let him act on his worries and such, as it was him showing his love and care for his younger family members while not interrupting their education

  • While her elder cousin has had reforming surgery on his nose and aegyo sal and her young cousin has had reforming surgery on her nose, eyelids and jaw she has had nothing done. This isn't to say she hasn't thought about it - she has and what South Korean girl hasn't? She can't think of a single one who hasn't thought about it at least one, it's a rather common thing. She's rather comfortable with herself though, much like her elder cousin when it comes to his eyelids being single, so she has at present no plans to have anything done to alter her appearance and enhance it. Though if she lived back home still it is likely she would get something done once graduated from high school - as it would help in the work field.

  • Eunkyung uses skin toner, or whitener as it's called in Korea, on her skin to even the tone and keep her nice and "pale". It's not just toner which she uses but other products as well, all in order to keep her skin looking good and free of blemishes as well as pale and smooth, she has a routine for the morning and one for before bed. It's all rather normal where she's from. In fact many people have an eight step or more routine, her routine is eight steps. Eunkyung doesn't tan, doesn't go out under the sun unless she has something on to keep her from coloring even the slightest bit, the sun simply isn't good for a persons skin and she knows this like most South Korean people.

  • Appointments to get acne or anything with her skin, even blackheads, treated is as normal a thing as changing your clothing each day and may remain as such here in Destiny City.

  • Eunkyung does have glasses but she does not use them as she favors her contacts, she doesn't like the look of glasses on her face or in general. She thinks they hide too much of her face rather than enhance her appearance. She's not obsessed with her looks, or so she will say and honestly thinks (truth is she may be just a little bit), but she does care about making a good impression on those around her and being taken seriously.

Family:
  • Mother (Age: 43 - deceased.) -

  • Father (Age: 43 - deceased.) -

  • Aunt (Age: 45 ) - Jin-Kyong Kim is not just a housewife, and never has been, so did take time off to be a mother but than did go back to work. She did well in high school and was able to attend Yonsei University, which pleased her parents greatly. It thus wasn't at school that she met her future nor was it even at work. She met him at a gathering of business men, and woman, where they met over drinks along with others who were attending the convention. They kept in contact after the convention and started dating from there.

She, like her husband, hopes her daughter and niece do well enough to attend a "sky" university though she doesn't care which of the three they attend, so long as they are happy. ((The Korean name Jin-Kyong means - composed of elements meaning "jewel" and "brightness")).

Her family is mostly located in Busan, South Korea. With her parents living there as well as her three siblings and their families. Her parents have their own home but as they have very little income, which is provided by the government, and no savings or social security it is her two brothers who cover the monetary needs of their parents in order to keep them in their home. Her brothers do not have large enough homes to move their parents in with their families and so get a bigger apartment would be more expensive due to the key money which would need to be paid out. So this is the cheapest way to keep their elderly parents with a roof over their head, food in their bellies, and taken care of.

  • Uncle (Age: 46 ) - Chin-Hwa Kim works at a large, though still growing and expanding, bushiness, he worked in Seoul but recently he's moved his family to Destiny City as someone in the Destiny City branch has gone missing - they suspect he's been killed by one of the cities terrorists. He is concerned, to a point, for his own life as the cause for this disappearance is unknown but the pay is better and taking his niece away from Seoul was important to him as she needs the ability to emotionally heal and she couldn't properly back home. Eun-Kyung's mother was his little sister so the death of his baby sister hit the man hard, it's in her memory that he took in his niece (plus she's family), and has packed up his family and moved.

Chin-Hwa Kim made high enough grades in high school that he was able to attend one of the three "sky" universities in Korea. He attended Korea University. He was and perhaps, despite the move, still hoping for his daughter and niece to attend one of the "sky" universities in Korea. The push had been for Korea University or Seoul University, for his daughter, for his niece there is no push. His son, Seung, had been attending Seoul university but due to the move here, and the need to learn English and difference in teaching, he has back peddled for now and is in a preparatory school - Sovereign Heights till he is ready in a year to attend a university here. He hopes one day his son will return to Korea and finish his schooling there. ((The Korean name Chin-Hwa means - most prosperous)).

His family lives in Seoul, South Korea with his parents having their own home which they in part are able to maintain on their own. The family did save money, mostly because they were very frugal and liked to stash money away in case an emergency ever came up. With the lack of social security, until recently, it's a good thing too as the two elders have been retired for some time now and have no social security. The government helps some but their savings help a good deal more as does the help from their children and even a grandchild (not Seung) who pitch in so they don't run through the savings they have. Doing it this way means they can stretch those savings for longer in order to support themselves, at least in part, and continue to live in their own home.

  • Cousin (Age 22) - Seung is her elder cousin though he tends to act a lot like an elder brother would, in turn she has taken to calling him oppa. He was there for her when her parents died and before the news was delivered to her. He was the first person she went to as he'd been there for her in the past, making sure she took care of herself and didn't over work herself with school. She may, at times, cling to him when they are out together but she tries not to cling too much. She often defers to him and lets him decide on things for her/them.

  • Cousin (Age 14 ) - Hwa-Young is her younger cousin and Eunkyung adores her. She gets to act like the big sister, now more than ever since having moved in with the family. This has recently changed, since her younger cousin has moved back home in order to return to Korean schools, but that doesn't keep her from thinking of the other as the little sister she never had. She moved in with an aunt and uncle (not related to Eunkyung) in Busan. ((The Korean name Hwa-Young means - composed from characters meaning "beauty" and "flower")).
