Hamal knew her cousin wouldn’t be happy with her going out on her own, Seung having wanted to keep her henshin pen when she awakened, so she made sure he wouldn’t find out she was out on her on. Hamal knew it wasn’t the smartest thing, to be out on her own, but Hyeon knew she was out and she could contact him if she needed him. She had her cell phone on her, since he didn’t yet have his signet ring, so she could contact him if she got into a problem.
Her slippered feet moved across the ground with ease, though she could feel every little pebble under her slippers as she walked, the slippers were comfortable but thin and left her feeling everything under them that she walked on. Maybe that was the one thing about her uniform she’d change if she could, because the skirt was nice and the top wasn’t bad either, but that wasn’t something she could do really. The only option was the pull on sneakers, or something else, every time she powered up and she didn’t find that all too convenient. She could always power up and be caught by someone while trying to pull on or tie up a pair of sneakers and that would not be good.
Letting the breeze tug and pull at her braids Hamal was on the lookout for any youma, she did not want to fight any negaverse officers - she wasn’t ready for that. She’d heard enough from Seung and Terry about them and was sure she couldn’t handle that, at least not yet. That was a fight she’d rather have with someone at her side, a family member or another senshi or knight - anyone really.
Passing by a fountain, pausing a few moments to enjoy the sounds the water made and how the lights around it hit the water and made it shimmer, she was on her way toward a less busy part of the city. She didn’t want to be seen out and about like this, she had heard senshi weren’t exactly well liked, as senshi were considered terrorists along with everyone else involved in this fighting. She didn’t care for a mob of people being after her, or just the cops, that wouldn’t go well for her.

Kourryte stared at the only other powered one in the area, even though the center was cluttered with passersby that seemed in much of a hurry. She stared, fixed on the young one. As other walked on, she followed. The small lieutenant took quick steps to keep up with the other, her teddy held lightly in her arms and it’s legs swaying with her movements. She wasn’t strong enough herself, but devouring this girl would make her stronger.
Then everyone would have to notice her, right?
The growing girl was treated mostly like a child, demanded and reprimanded in training. Now was her chance to break out and truly shine as her small girl-like form quickly became snake-like. Her steps turning into slithers and waves behind her as she quickly approached. Kourrtye’s eyes turned a bright purple and fangs grew from the staged teeth.
“Come to me little one.”

She was, as a basic senshi, unable to sense anything until it was really close to her. She knew this, and it did worry her and was a cause for concern, but she also knew her eldest cousin went out on his own and he had the same problem. It shouldn’t really worry her then - right? He got away with it so why couldn’t she? Plus she wasn’t a child, she was almost ready to graduate from high school and she was smart.
When the youma got closer, too close, she did sense it and stopped her walking. Turning around, this way and that, her dark eyes seeking it out. “I can sense you.” The talismans hanging at her waist waved and rustled as they moved against each other.
If this were an officer she’d be worried, would be pulling out her phone to make a call to Hyeon, but this she could handle - she was sure of it. She would handle this and use this to help comfort Seung, and Hyeon even, that she wasn’t so weak and they didn’t need to worry so much.

Closer, and closer she slithered. She was closing in on her target but quickly stopped upon hearing the other's voice. “E-Eh..” It was a moment of shock for Kourrtye, but nothing long enough for her to rethink what she was doing. Rolling her shoulders back, and gripping the discoloured stuffed animal tighter she spoke in the most confident tone she could muster.
“Then you know that there is nowhere to run?” Oh god, was her inexperience showing? This was bad. She lengthened herself as much as she could, her dress swaying at the beginning of where the snake part of her began. ‘Be Intimidating!’ She pepped herself.
“You will meet your end here!” With the last vowel, the Youma attacked right at the powered girls back.

She knew she could run, or at least try, she didn’t know how fast this youma could move. She didn’t plan to run though, this was a youma, she was sure she could handle this. Though when she saw just what the youma looked like she was...shocked and sorta fascinated but also disgusted at the same time.
It looked like what one might call a naga...at least sorta. But it wore clothing and had a plushie with it. It was certainly unexpected and interesting. She didn’t get time though, at least not much, to be shocked as the youma was headed right at her. She had been lucky to hear it coming towards her.
She hadn’t heard it fast enough though and it knocked her to the ground where she rolled several times before climbing back up onto her feet. Her side, and elbow it seemed, were bruised from hitting the ground and her head hurt but she was otherwise ok it seemed. “That’s where you’re wrong.” She wasn’t going to lose - not to a youma.
She didn’t waste time, not wanting to drag this fight out, and held out a hand while calling out her attack. “Talisman of Sparks!” Watching the bright yellow paper dissolve into energy she let the orb go, hoping the youma was close enough for it to hit.

As her head bashed into the Sailor’s shoulder, the youma lost balance and rolled herself a little from the force of the impact. Kourrtye wasn’t well versed in physical attacks but having the element of surprise as a diamond a dozen. She couldn’t have give up that chance, it would have been stupid. Hearing the other speak, she chuckled and shook her head. “You’re stupid, you know that?” It was easy to spit out words to tear down another.
But what came next, she didn’t expect. An Attack. One that she wasn’t prepared for and couldn’t so easily get out of the way of. Kourrtye slithered as far away as she could, but it wasn’t far enough. The orb hit her back and exploded. Causing what felt like millions of cuts along her exposed skin and topped with a burning sensation. She screamed- more like a shriek, her fingers twitching as she fell onto the floor.
It took a moment for the Naga to get herself back together before she went to reach for her teddy. Once she found the stuffed toy, she realized quickly that it had been caught in the blast as well.. The toy was now tarred and useless. Her powers inside disappearing as the stuffed animal crumbled in her hands. “N-No.. No!!”

Watching, not sure what exactly was going on, the senshi stepped forward. The plushie had been cute in a sorta creepy way, as it was after all a toy that a youma was carrying about, but that didn’t matter. Her magic had worked and it had hit - and hard. The youma was down and it was time for her to try and finish this. She didn’t want to leave this youma alive - she couldn’t.
Slippered feet were silent as she moved forward, closer and closer to the youma, her hand raised as she readied herself to attack again. She was feeling the drain of energy but knew she needed to finish this, and physical fighting was not her thing, she would for now use her magic in the hopes that it would do more than she herself could do.
Maybe learning self defense, eventually, would be something she’d look in to. If she brought it up with Hyeon he’d help her, maybe even join her, but Seung might act like he had when her henshin pen had turned up. Hyeon was the better to talk to.
“I’m going to finish you.” Or so she hoped. Again she called her attack and sent the orb towards the youma. The shriek last time her hurt her ears, not to mention it had tugged at something inside herself. She didn’t like hurting anyone - or anything. This time she was prepared and quickly covered her ears.

Did it matter anymore? No. No it didn’t. The Youma had lost before it had even begun. As the crumbled pieces of the stuffed toy fell through her fingers, the girl had formed back from Naga to the small girl seen before the chase. She sniffled as she tried to keep herself together. Kourrtye had given up and was ready to take her punishment. She turned to face the Senshi and locked eyes with the other. If she was going to die, she wanted to be looking at the face of her executioner. Many things ran through the youma’s head as the last thing to adjust back to it’s former form was her eyes, closing as the orb hit against her upper chest. She shrieked once more, but this time it didn’t echo that of a monster but that of a seemingly innocent girl who was being ripped and burned alive.
As soon as the attack began, it was over. The Youma turned to dust.

She had not been expecting what happened, she hadn’t seen what the youma had looked like before, she didn’t know this was possible. The sight was enough to shake her and she went to yell out for the figure to run, even though she knew it was a youma, but it was too late and the shriek which escaped from the youma wasn’t so...painful at least not physically. It hurt in other ways.
Stepping back, putting distance between herself and the dust on the ground, Hamal turned and made to run. Where she didn’t know, at least not right away. She powered down at some point as she headed for her eldest cousin's home. She could stay there and talk...and sleep, he wouldn’t mind.
