Kami sighed, feeling a bit pathetic about this whole situation. He had finally mustered up the courage to go to his comet! ...only because Hamal had said that she would go with him when he had suggested it, and they set up a day to meet and could spend a few hours there. Honestly though, he was still nervous. What if it was creepy? What if it had blood there?! He was the senshi of surgeries right? That meant that blood had to be spilled there at some point, right?!

He just... he growled at himself. Honestly, he should be excited to go here! But instead he kept second-guessing himself, keeping his hands squarely at his sides, making sure that they did not inch towards his phone, call Hamal and say that it was off and him go and pretend that he never needed to visit his comet. Ever.

Which was starting to make the wait unbearable, but he wasn't mad at Hamal about it. They had decided to meet in the park after all. And he was here extra early. Hamal didn't know that he would be, but it was like waiting to take a final. He just wanted to get it over with! "Come on, deep breaths. Calm... calm..." He said, taking slow breaths in and out, trying to make his racing heart go down.

Kami had been so focused on staying "calm" that he hadn't even realized that Hamal was there and when she spoke to him he jumped a bit, before realizing that she was there now. "Oh Hamal! Sorry I'm just... nervous." He replied, wondering if it was okay to admit to one's girlfriend that they weren't 100% confident about something.

He nodded. "It's okay. I got her extra early so you're not late at all." And he double checked to make sure. "Yep, right on time!" He said giving her a small smile.

He let out another breath. "I-I think that you should probably power up, and then we can go to my comet together." Really, what was there to worry about on it? Sure there had been giant bugs on one of the Homeworlds that he had visited, but none of the others seemed to be that bad, only needing repair! But for some reason, his mind would just not make him stop thinking that perhaps it had something truly awful on it!

Kami nodded, still doubting himself as to whether or not he should really go. But he knew he had to do this. He would have to some day. He needed to start making his comet as habitable as possible. And if it took him the rest of his life to do so, then so be it.

With one more deep breath taking it in... then letting it out, he then took a hold of Hamal's hand, which was quite bold and he would make sure to apologize to her when they got there. He quickly pulled out his phone and tapped the icon for the Homeworld before he could even try to re-think his decision. And within a moment...

They were there.

When he opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed was that the comet somehow had some sort of atmosphere, which was quite surprising, but at least it meant they were able to breath. Though he did wonder if oxygen was the universal element needed to breath for every Homeworld. The second was that it seemed to be just about sunrise, though he couldn't quite tell.

The next was that it was quite barren. And finally, there seemed to be some large structure right ahead of them. As he looked down, he could tell they were on some sort of... well he wasn't quite sure, but it looked like they had been taken to this spot on purpose. He turned to Hamal and said, a bit nervously considering that they had suddenly gone to a completely different place, "We're here."

Kami pondered for a moment. "I didn't think there would be an atmosphere either. Perhaps it's an artificial one?" How that would work was beyond him, but that was the only thing he could think of. "But I suppose we won't know until we check out... whatever it is." He said, looking toward the large structure that was before them.

Unnoticed to him was his symbol underneath their feet.

He took a step toward the door and looked back at Hamal. "Even if nothing survived, there might be a reason for that. A not... evil reason." Something was telling him that this was okay. That while it was completely silent except for their breathing, that it was supposed to be this way...

He tugged on her hand a bit and grinned. "We won't find anything out if we just stand here. I promise I'll protect you. It's my comet after all."

He gave her hand a squeeze in return and moved his hand towards the door. Suddenly there were a few beeps and what felt like being scanned by something invisible before the door popped open and... nothing. Kami let out a sigh of relief that he didn't know he had been holding. Life was said to have ended on their Homeworlds and Wonders, but he had watched enough sci-fi that there might always be some hidden alien that would jump out and attack you.

It was silent. There was no other sound than their breathing. He took another breath and holding Hamal's hand started to walk into the inside together.

From the looks of it, it almost appeared to be a waiting area of sorts. There was a sealed off room and space in-between what he assumed was the front and the sealed room, and then a long hallway. As they continued down the hallway, there eventually appeared to be another door. Kami held his hand up to it as well, there were beeps and suddenly it opened. There was nothing behind it, but it was quite large. When they stepped inside there, it was all white within except what appeared to be brightly colored buttons with symbols on them. What they were, he had no idea, but only one of them was still brightly lit. There was another than was duller in lighting, and the rest of them were completely unlit.

"I guess it's an elevator of sorts." He said with a shrug. Hamal had probably figured it out as well. "We can try this button if you want." He said pointing to the only brightly lit one. It was the only one he could try, but silently he was telling her they could still turn back if she wanted.

Kami could tell that she was starting to get nervous but he couldn't say from what. Of course this whole entire comet was creepy. "If you want to go back to Earth just let me know. Your comfort is more important." And he definitely wasn't looking for an excuse to get out of here. No, not him. Not at all.

He moved his hand and used his finger to push the button below the top one. Silently, and only with what gravity remained, could they tell that they were moving as it did not appear to clank and lurch like elevators on Earth.

It was also quick, though he wasn't sure if that was from it actually being so or if they had only gone down one floor, but the doors opened and there was a dark hallway ahead of them. One could see a little from smaller lights out of all of the rooms and looking into the first one on his right, it appeared to be some sort of... lab possibly? It was hard to tell. All of it looked so foreign compared to what they had on Earth.

"Nothing scary yet..." He mumbled to himself, hoping that there wasn't sort of face-hugger alien waiting for them to stick their face in the wrong room.

He looked back at Hamal. "Maybe this is the lab floor." He gently tugged on her hand, encouraging further exploration, but giving her the choice as to whether they continued.

He nodded as she responded. However he would take them back immediately if he could tell that she was having too hard of a time. He didn't want to force her into anything she wasn't ready to deal with yet. Especially a place like this. Sure, they had been told that there was no life left on the Homeworlds, but did they mean all life or just humanoid life because the former could definitely be dangerous.

There were dark rooms all along the hallway, a few with some lighting in them. Nothing appeared to be organic that was left from peeking into a few of the rooms. It all appeared to be equipment. Equipment that was either extremely dusty or appear to have been used to the point of breaking down, but so far there was nothing that appeared concerning.

He let out a breath that he didn't know he was holding, waiting for Hamal. They were almost at the end of the hallway and it appeared to have another elevator. This one looked different though. There appeared to be some sort of symbol on the door and when he waved his hand over what appeared to be the console, nothing happened. He looked back at Hamal. ]"We may not be able to go further. Looks like I'm either locked out of this one or it doesn't have enough power to work. Of course, that probably means that whatever we're looking for is past this." He said with a chuckle.

Kami wasn't sure if she was nervous from the entire situation or something else, but clearly Hamal wasn't that fond of this place, and even if they looked around, who knew how long it would take to find the way to open the door. He turned around to look at her and shook his head. "This is good enough. I can explore more on my own. It's my Homeworld after all. I should be the one taking charge on it. I may need help later but for right now, this is good enough. I can look through these rooms and see if I can find anything."

He went to bring the hand he was holding up to his face and lightly kissed it. "Let's get out of here, shall we?" He asked, winking at her while he pulled out his phone. He wasn't necessarily attempting to hint towards something else, he really did just want to distract her for the moment from her nervousness. "We can go and do something more relaxing than uh... this tonight." He said with a chuckle.
