Name: Eun-Kyung Lee Note: Eun-Kyung means - composed of elements meaning “silver” and “graceful”.
Nickname: Enu (to Americans); Those younger than her can call her sunbae or eonni and those older call her hubae also or they can use the term dongsaeng. Note: Sunbae/ hubae/ Eonni/Dongsaeng/Noona: Age differences are important in South Korea. It stems from the Confucian concept of filial piety and respecting your elders. As a result: Sunbae: Senior. (You say it to a senior/someone who has more experience in anything). Hubae: Junior. (You say it to anyone who has less experience in anything). Both sunbae and hubae are primarily used in the workplace and school. Both are gender neutral and show that the two involved are not that close. Eonni: What girls say to older sisters or girls older than themselves that they are close to. This is for people who are close to each other. Dongsaeng: younger siblings. Noona: A younger male would call an older female this. These can use these as suffixes to their names, or you can just call them by those words alone.
Age: 16
Birthday: September 29th (she'd just be turning 16 this year.)
Sign: Libra
Gemstone: Sapphire, pink tourmaline, or bloodstone.
Blood Type: AB
Fav. Food: Kimchi, elephant fish (yes, it is a thing), kkak-dugi (raddish kimchi), and Galbijim Deokbaegi with rice.
Hated Food: Greasy fast food, too much grease and it upsets her stomach.
School: Meadoview High School
Hobbies: Wandering: Most wouldn’t think this a hobby but it seriously is! Rather than running like some people do you could say Eun-Kyung goes wandering, or walking, it’s usually fairly aimless with no destination in mind. She’ll go out late at night, typically sometime after dinner, and just let her feet guide her. She keeps her phone with her, as she’s had to more than once find her way home from these wanderings, but she enjoys the time out and alone where she can clear her head and just relax and enjoy the calm of the night. She has found interesting shops during these wanderings of hers, which she always makes note of on her phone, but typically she just finds comfort in wandering about the city enjoying the time to herself. It’s not that she dislikes, or had anything against, going out and wandering during the daylight hours but it defeats the purpose somewhat as more people are out and about and the city is more alive, and she is looking for the peace and quiet which the nighttime can offer her better. It’s rare that someone will join her, whether they join her in the middle of her wanderings or they go out with her, but it isn’t an unwanted thing most of the time. It’s just something which rarely happens. This also serves as a good form of exercise, not that she really thinks about this honestly.
Myths and Fairytales: It’s a nice escape from the harsh world around them in which they live; really it is. But beyond that the stories are just lovely, especially fairytales and the classics. Myths however are a bit of a different thing. I mean the basic storylines used in myths are used over and over again even in modern times, it’s really interesting. But more than anything these stories serve as a nice escape into another world, something she never minds sharing with other people as everyone needs an escape every now and again - right? She doesn’t think she’s a princess, nor does she or has she ever wanted to be one, but the idea of them is very nice. She’s taken to collecting myths and fairytales to put onto her bookshelf, this includes myths and legends from various cultures and countries. She does prefer the “nicer” stories but she’s not too picky as to where she wouldn’t put something on her shelf because it’s a bit “darker”. Some of these books she’s had to buy online but whenever she can find one at a local book store Eun becomes overjoyed, it’s one less book to order and wait for, and she’s become a bit well known at some of the local book stores because she stops in on a fairly regular basis. This has lead to some conversations with some of the workers, some think she’s rather childish for liking such books meanwhile she’s sixteen, whilst others don’t care or even understand. She’s never really had a long discussion, or even one lasting more than a few minutes, about her collection of books so she’s never been able to really get into things or even make suggestions or have them made to her. This isn’t to say she wouldn’t make suggestions or really get into discussing things with people, she just hasn’t found anyone all that interested.
Internet Surfing: Ever wonder how she knows little bits of information about all kinds of things? It’s really easy when you have the internet at your finger tips and the ability to look up almost anything! One thing, a simple search, can lead to Eun-Kyung searching up several other things as a word she didn’t know was used, some topic she didn’t know was mentioned, or the original thing ties into something else. Either way it’s very common for one thing she looks up to lead into several more searches and many more websites read over as she feeds her curiosity and need to know and understand things. Perhaps one could call her a dump of useless bits of information that likely will never be needed, unless she gets onto some game show. It’s rare when she ever needs to pull out these little bits of information and put them to use, it has happened a few times though in classes or when talking with people.
Music: Who doesn’t like music? Eun-Kyung certainly isn’t among the small minority of people who dislike music, as surely it must be a small group. Surprisingly however she’s not just a music fan but she likes to play her music rather loudly and has a tendency to fangirl, in private, over certain groups from back home in Korea. She’s been to concerts, taking her elder cousin with her from time to time, with friends and has been known to blush uncontrollably, squeal, and perhaps on occasion scream for her favorites. It’s not something most would expect of her or even know about her unless they spend enough time in private with her or one of her favorite groups is brought up and she’s unable to contain herself. The manner of which she expresses her love for certain groups, or group members, is typically in the form of blushing, squeals, and other little shy things which she tries to cover up as much as possible so as to not gain attention to herself. She is an E.L.F(Everlasting Friends) and a Shawol (SHINee World) among others (she’s also a V.I.P, Cassiopeia, and EXO-L). She doesn’t care which agency/label a group belongs to or anything else, she doesn’t give into the idea that you can only like certain groups and not others, she likes who and what she likes.
Virtues: Intelligence: Need help with studying for an exam, help with homework? You can ask Eun-Kyung for that help and she’ll be more than happy to help and explain, even simplify, things for you! She’s not the sort to shove her intelligence in your face but it’s there, just under the surface, it really only shows if one looks at exam scores of when a teacher asks her something and she answers in detail (which she almost always done, much to her own embarrassment). This intelligence also shows up at odd little moments when with friends, or family, when she’ll pipe up with some fact or some odd little factoid that someone her age either shouldn’t know or makes one wonder where/how she knows about that topic.
Quiet: Eun-Kyung doesn’t like to make a scene, in fact she doesn’t even like to raise her voice at all - ever. It’s not that she can’t raise her voice but it’s that she doesn’t like to. She does not like or want the attention being loud puts on people. She would rather wait until someone directed the topic at her before speaking up. This does allow her to move amongst people, hearing things, without being noticed as she is a quiet individual who doesn’t seek to gain people's attention. It also means she is a wonderful person to tell your darkest secrets to. They will never see the light of day again.
Peacekeeper: She has never been one for conflict, she doesn’t like to be on one side or another of an argument. Rather she will take the middle and “play Switzerland” in that she will listen to both, or all, sides and try and help everyone get at least some of what they want while giving a bit as well. Compromise is the name of the game. She tries to keep everyone around her in some form of harmony and not just because it keeps the calm that she needs but how else can people work or function together if they aren’t balanced? This applies to friends, her siblings, and anyone else whom she is close to. She wants those in her life to be in harmony as much as possible.
Observant: Because Eun is able to move around rooms and groups of people without being noticed she is able to observe other people, not to mention listen to them, and learn a variety of things many might miss. None of what she finds out is ever used against people, but it is used to help people if possible, she isn’t the sort to blackmail a person or anything of the sort. She just likes to collect information about the people and things around her in order to help herself and others, you learn something new every day - right?
Flaws: Blunt: Would would someone want her to lie to them? To be less than honest? She doesn’t understand this, or she does but she doesn’t see the point in it or how it’s helpful to lie to someone, so rather than lying to someone or even softening the blow Eun-Kyung tells it like it is. She is honest and blunt and often times this means she is ruining someone's happy thought, self imagined fantasy, or bringing someone crashing back to reality in some manner. It also leaves her with insulting people at times, either as an outright insult or by telling someone just how wrong about something they are via correcting them. This has caused more than a few issues, especially with teachers. Her parents have gotten used to this and the few friends she has, or rather the few she’s managed to keep, understand and accept this about her as well. Those who accept this trait have learned to just not ask her certain things unless they really do want the truth.
Doormat: Eun-Kyung doesn’t like to make waves, she doesn’t even like to make ripples, so it stands to reason that she follows the lead of others. It’s not that she can’t lead, she’s not stupid nor slow, it’s just that she doesn’t like the limelight and would rather just point out little things from the sidelines while letting others make the grand plans and decide on the overall thing, whatever it may be. The problem however is that Eun is easy to “convince” into doing things for you, or others. Don’t wanna do your part of the group project? Just make enough of a fuss and she’ll take on the extra work. Really she needs someone to keep her from being walked all over, and she knows she lets people walk all over her but it avoids conflict and she really doesn’t want to start a fight over little things.
Guilt ridden: She knows what she says can hurt, bother, and anger people and she does feel guilt for everything she says and perhaps this feeds into how soft spoken and shy she can be at times, or rather it does certainly feed into her other behaviors. She isn’t going to apologize but she will second guess things, feel bad for everything she’s said, and hope that people don’t let whatever she’s said guide future interactions between her and them.
Skeptic: Seeing and hearing people when they don’t think anyone can has led to Eun-Kyung doubting what people tell her as she knows people don’t always mean what they say, she has seen what people are like behind the mask they wear. She will still help people, and listen to them, but there are always doubts in her mind and she doesn’t take everything at face value; she’s learned to take it all with a few grains of salt. It is because of this that problems have risen between herself and other people as she tends to ask many questions, more than need be, perhaps in order to gain more information and validate things to herself. But also she has been known to hesitate on things because of this skepticism as well and people have become upset with her in the past. It’s not her fault though - people just aren’t that trustworthy, at least not when you’ve seen what people can and are really like. The only people exempt from this are members of her family and those few friends she has who might as well be family, because she’s seen them without the masks and knows she can trust them.

Hey Sleet! I think Eun-Kyung looks great~ I had some questions about possible conflict between her Blunt and Doormat flaws, but I think her Guilt-Ridden trait resolves it (since she feels bad about saying those things/making waves that way) so I am comfortable dropping a trial stamp~ A GM will be by soon!
