It had take a while but Arian thought that he had finally finished the last of his Christmas shopping and he had done it with time to spare - and whilst mayhaps it wasn't the biggest of achievements in terms of achievement terms, it was certainly better than in previous years when he had left Christmas shopping pretty much down to the wire. The bulk of the presents were tucked away in the apartment that he shared with Liryn and Orah awaiting wrapping, but he had managed to wrap the two presents tucked away in his satchel, because he had arranged to patrol with one of the recipients and was planning to ask her to pass the second one on given that the second recipient was her cousin– And whilst it wasn't big, Arian was hoping that Hamal and her cousin would like the little hand baked biscuit medley that he had baked the previous evening and then split between the two wrapped packages. He had treated himself to hot chocolate with whipped cream and all the trimmings as a personal pat on the shoulder for a job well done and was almost to the park when he and Hamal had agreed to meet when he realised that there was something that he had forgotten to pick up– But given that he was powered up and that powering down at this point would only serve to make him late for his meeting with Hamal, Athene acknowledged ruefully that he was going to have to make another trip out to the shops. Well make that Arian was going to have to. Sleet Tempest Snape Hope this works as a start Sleet, but if not lmk and I will tweak

EunKyung was and organized person, it made it easier to keep track of what needed to get done, so it was no surprise that she had a list of people she needed to get Christmas gifts for. She also had a list of people and what to get them for the Lunar New Year, even though that wasn't until February. She simply liked being prepared and getting things done. This was, at least according to her list, the last trip to the mall she had to make, she had gotten the last of what she needed.
A lot of her gifts she'd had to order, some from Japan and some from home in Korea. This last gift though was wrapped, she'd had someone in the malls wrapping center do so for her, and tucked neatly into a small school bag at her side as she hurried out of the mall. She was, unfortunately, running late. The problem with holiday shopping was places ran out of things, which had been the case with what she had wanted to Arian. Oh, he had helped her so much and she had wanted to get him something nice. The store however had been sold out so she'd had to wait till today when a new shipment came in. That wasn't the only problem though, the big one was the lines at check out.
It was why she was running late as she left the mall and went to find a safe place to power up so she could take off for the meeting spot. The fact it was dark out helped - a lot. being a senshi helped as well as she got to the location faster than she would have normally, being a senshi gave her a boost in speed which she did appreciate.
Her gift was two parts, something bought and something made, while for the guardian cat who was often with Arian she had gotten him something small as well. Knowing the cat liked technology she had gone with something a bit more...expensive but it would hopefully be well liked by the cat.
Arriving at the meeting spot, red in the cheeks and puffing, she was quick to bow and apologize for being late. "Lines are busy at stores - so sorry." litian No idea what Arian would like...I'll figure something for the kitty.

He had managed to reach the meeting place almost dead on the agreed meeting time, but it seemed that Hamal was running a little late - at least she was according to the time on his senshi phone. Not that Athene minded as he made himself comfortable on a nearby bench and settled down to wait, figuring that he'd give it fifteen minutes or so before he started to worry. It was well within that margin however that he picked on the warm aura of a basic and it wasn't long after that the source came into view - Hamal herself. "It's okay" he said quietly as she apologised for running late, gesturing towards the bench just in case she wanted to sit whilst catching her breath "I haven't been waiting that long." His lips quirked up in a small but rueful smile at her mention of the lines at the store as he added "And I can sympathise - shopping at this time of year can be a little scary". Especially as it got closer to the main day itself.

Taking a seat, bobbing her head in thanks for the offer of a seat, the dark haired female settled herself and pulled her bag into her lap. "I saw, it is the same back home. Christmas is big back home as well. I was unfortunately unable to get what I wanted to sooner." Or she most certainly would have, anything to avoid all the hassle of shopping with so many people. It wasn't that she disliked people it was just that the jostling of all the people and the shoving and loudness - it was too much even for her, and she was used to crowds of people.
"I'm glad I did not make you wait long." Her fingers moved to her bag and opening the satchel she pulled out the wrapped gifts she had and offered them to the other. "I got something for Lyrin as well. I do hope he likes it." She hoped they both liked their gifts. She had taken a bit of a guess, since she didn't know either of them too terribly well. It was a hopeful guess though.
"Merry Christmas, though it is a bit early."

Athene nodded "Christmas is big in the UK too" he admitted. "Maybe not quite as big as it is here in the States" because certainly people seemed to go to town more with things such as lights and decorations "But still pretty big." He couldn't help but look a little startled at the offered gifts for a moment because he hadn't been expecting one, but then he reached out to carefully take them from Hamal. "Thank you, I'm sure that Liryn will appreciate his" he said quietly with one of his small smiles "And I do too," he set them down on the bench gently before rummaging in his satchel for the two wrapped parcels that he had placed there earlier on in the evening "I actually brought you something as well" he admitted "Well for both you and your cousin." His cheeks tinged slightly as he added "It's nothing fancy, but I baked them fresh earlier." He handed the two neatly wrapped packages over, with the slightly larger of the two labelled in slightly messy handwriting 'Hamal' and the slightly smaller one labelled 'Venice' and opening up the two packages would reveal a selection of Christmas-themed biscuits. "Is more commercial back home and is a bit new still."But it had caught on and people enjoyed it, though they weren't as big on buying a ton of gifts for the same person. So she would buy one or two things for each person - useful things. It was more thoughtful gifts which would be used. It was different but that ok.
"You are welcome. You and Liryn have helped me a lot this year." Even if they hadn't met that long ago. The two had been helpful to her and having a friend, or in this case two friends, was appreciated by the female. "For Seung-hyung as well?" She asked while reaching out for the gifts he took from his satchel. "Thank you. I will let hyung know when I get home." She'd drop by his home before returning to her aunt and uncles, in order to give him his gift.
"It doesn't need to be fancy...thought counts more." Softly spoken as she held the gifts to her chest. The idea of something fresh baked was pleasing to her, made her feel nice and warm inside. Things which were made had a special meaning...a person took more time and put more care into them. "Maybe I will make something for you to eat next time." She wasn't sure what but she surely could return the favor in a sense...though it was also her just wanting to be nice.
"You and Liryn have been so kind and helpful this year to me. I hope we will remain as good friends in the coming year." A soft smile, hopeful dark eyes, she liked having a friend in all of this, another senshi, and she had met them on her own. The two gifts, for now, found their way into her own satchel.

Athene's lips quirked up in another of his small smiles "The help hasn't just been on our side" he pointed out, because Hamal had helped him out too - like when the two of them had ended up getting sucked through the mirrors. He reached out to gently pick up the two gifts that she had given him before carefully tucking first one and then the other into his satchel. "And I really appreciate your friendship too. Being a senshi, being powered - it can be lonely sometimes..." And in part it was because it could be hard to know who to trust, but also in part because, at least on Athene's part, he didn't want to drag those that he care about into it - not if they weren't already involved– Because there was no getting around the fact that powered life could be and was dangerous. "But having friends makes all the difference." He gave another small smile at her comment about maybe making something for him some day. "I'd like that" he said quietly "And I know Liryn would as well." He gently closed his satchel as he continued "I was also wondering if you would be interested in seeing my home world at some point?" Because it was something that he'd been meaning to ask.

"Oh...I've helped?" She questioned, surprised. She really hadn't done anything though, she wasn't even thinking about the mirror since they'd both been stuck. She was just a basic senshi - what had she done? "Yeah...it is a bit lonely. It isn't when I'm wish you...since you're the only senshi I know." Ducking her head a bit, soft curls of dark hair hiding her face for a moment. She was glad to have met Athene and his cat. They were both so helpful and kind...gentle.
"I'm hoping to meet other senshi as well." Others who could help her and lessen the lonely feeling...senshi to call her friends."
"Mmm, having a friend does make a difference." So did having family involved but it was different than having a friend involved. Lifting her head up, still smiling, the dark eyed girl was happy to have such a friend.
"Home world..." Trailing off for a moment, the offer seeming rather meaningful to her, she nodded her head then. "I'd like to...I've yet to go to mine. When I go...for the first time. Can I bring you?" Was she capable of it...and would he want to go? She didn't know what to expect and going with someone would be nice - helpful even perhaps.
"I'd be honored to go to yours...and if you could come with me too."

"I'd be honoured to come along with you when you visit your home world" Athene said quietly at Hamal's counter-invite "And I know that Liryn woud love to come too" because the small mauvian had never made any secret about the fact that he enjoyed seeing different home worlds and wonders. "Maybe we could arrange something for in the new year around home world visits," because the 2018 side would perhaps be more practical given how busy this particular time of year generally tended to be. And whilst he hadn't been able to catch up with Polaris, he could also arrange for Ida and Hamal to meet on the 2018 side too because he remembered that Hamal had been interested in meeting his friend and flatmate and he had known Ida long enough to know that she wouldn't mind.

"You might be able to ask my cousin - Venice for a trip to his wonder. He said it's a theater...a big one." She spoke gently. She knew her cousin liked to bring people with him, he was proud of the job he was doing trying to clean it up. She was planning to join him soon on a trip there, she was also hoping for a trip to her other cousins wonder...whenever he decided to go.
"I'd like that. Just not around Seollal. I'll be going home for that...I think my cousin mentioned Olympics as well." She knew he was going, and Terry also, she couldn't remember if she was going as well. She did know she was going home though for the holiday to spend it with family. She'd already cleared it with the school too. Since it was as big a holiday as it was DCU was understanding - thankfully.
"So before February maybe...?"

"I'd like that" Athene admitted. "At least if he wouldn't mind taking me that is." Because truth be told he hadn't seen a lot of home worlds or wonders either. "And so would Liryn." He nodded when Hamal suggested that they arrange the trip for before February "That works for me" he agreed "Perhaps we could try for the second week of January" because it would allow them to get past the Destiny City's new year festivities and also past twelfth night - because whilst neither he nor his cousin were particularly religious - they did hold to the tradition of making sure to take down all of their Christmas ornaments and cards each January 6th. But arrangements for that, including a firm date for the actual visit would be something that would come on a different night - as would catching up Liryn. For now Athene was content to wait for Hamal until the other senshi was ready to patrol and to patrol with her for a while before the two of them parted ways for the evening so that they could head back to their respective homes.
