Personalities: A native of Poland, Lucky has probably spent as much time in electric light as natural light. He was rarely parted with the technology he accumulated, his old computer screens and phones and consoles and cheap counterfeits of popular portable electronics. Needless to say, all of this has not done wonders for his social awareness in general.
But Lucky always had a fascination with technology and the science-fiction 'what-if's that come with it. His ambitions to make the impossible possible pushed him through school and part of the way through university, where he became proficient in programming and
sort of proficient in English. Financial issues prevented him from finishing school and forced him to seek work instead, whatever paid. After a falling-out with his family, he struck out on his own with what knowledge he had. His intent to change the world through technology came true, in part: desperate for work, he was employed by a local mafia, coding computer viruses.
Because of the language barrier (and just being fairly socially inept on top of that), Lucky isn't naive so much as oblivious, missing crucial hints toward motive and mood in spoken language. Always feeling slightly behind in the race of life, Lucky is fairly easy to goad into doing exceptionally stupid, dangerous, or reckless things to prove himself just as capable as anyone else. He is friendly overall, but can become scatterbrained and forgetful of others when he has other things on his mind,
Oz is a demon, and a bit of a conniving one at that. She mainly seeks to live vicariously through her wielder and take credit for their successes, and to that end she tries to make herself seem invaluable every chance she gets. She has the full-time job of being the voice of reason, for her own self-preservation if nothing else. Surprisingly soft-spoken most of the time, her voice can still be raised to a deafening roar should the situation call for it.
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?Lucky was actually pretty good about avoiding the creeping shadows he saw as much as humanly possible. With his eyes on a screen, he could blind himself to their existence (and his potential insanity) as long as possible. But as life grew increasingly more demanding, paychecks grew smaller, and living conditions grew worse, it became clear he had a problem. Was it simply a manifestation of guilt? Or something worse?
When the hunters came around to recruit, he accepted without hesitation. Maybe he didn't fully understand what he was getting himself into... or didn't care so long as he got away from where he
