Lucky took the cue and stepped inside after a few others had already made their way in. With everyone else surprisingly distracted by Mimsy, he took the time to survey the surroundings. He spotted the alcohol, specifically the vodka, and tried to discreetly pour himself a few shots' worth - only to be spotted in the process. Lucky gave Candace a vacant deer-in-the-headlights look and finally a weak nod, before setting down the bottle and sidling off to where Mimsy was.
In his head, Song was giggling at something Rep said. About... mixing drinks? Lucky didn't get it. He took a seat near Mimsy, watching the others uneasily and toying with a small metal ring in his pocket.
"So, I get my vish," he mumbled into the cup.

Tuck's grin faltered only slightly when Nevada gave him the cold shoulder. Damn, girl. Damn.
He still followed her over to the alcohol and poured himself a something. He didn't really care what it was, only that it burned as it raced down his throat.
"Sheeee-it," he mumbled under his breath as he glanced down at Nevada with a twinkle in his eye.
"What's wrong, pretty girl?"
Tuck refilled his glass and peered around the room. Dakota knew how to party, that was for damn sure.

Rep smirked over the rim of his glass, pausing to state. "If that's sultry, then you should see me with my ******** real sultry on." The flush of alcohol to his system was like a hug from an old friend and not even the presence of individuals he'd termed traitorous could dampen his mood. At the bar, all men were equal. "Keep the PDAs to a minimum Candybaby, if you would." Though he assumed she had had a purpose in associating with Dakota, she usually had one.
He was also having fun with nicknames.

Dakota made sure to get up right after Candace took his drink and turn some music on. whatever played, played. Instead he sat back down in his seat with another drink. How he got it...Magic.
He looked at Rep and nudged the other man. "What happened to Bona fide Chinese emperor thing? You had the ladies all over you."
---
Nevada threw back the rest of the drink as Tuck joined her over at the kitchen...makeshift bar. It wasn't rudeness that had her breezing past but wariness. Instead she cocked her head at him and gave him a lazy smile.
"Nothing's wrong handsome. Admiring the view of booze and wondering the trouble it brings with it." Tuck was probably trouble and dimples are such a weakness....instead she made another drink, pouring a shot of it and throwing it back as well.
"Thankful to be alive after that mission though, that's for sure. I feel like I need a nap to make up for the hard work." She cocked her head, "Find any pretty single ladies to explore with Tuck?"

The conversations were generally staying on the playful side of things until Rep asked about Dakota's b***h. Mimsy straightened and shifted where she sat, visibly bothered.
"I told you," she began, gritting her teeth to calm herself. This was much closer to 'upset'. "I am nothing to Dakota, and nothing of Dakota's. I am fully capable of mixing many solutions, but I would advise that you do not ask such a thing of me, unless you place no value in your health."
And then it finally clicked, but came a moment too late - Svensyl had already realized the intended meaning and was laughing as obnoxiously as he could, insisting that she should kiss him now.
Sometimes she wondered how she was chosen by a weapon whose solution to everything was intimate contact.
"It is a pity that my most impressive feature is typically not visible. All that can be seen of me can't hold a candle to all that I know." She shrugged. "But you are free to look at that side of me, as long as it is only looking. That concept fails to make any sense to some people."
Dakota got a very pointed stare before she turned her attention to Lucky, looking first at the cup in his hand, then at his pocket.
"Congratulations on a dream come true." Raising her eyebrows, she nodded towards his pocket. "Do you intend to drug everyone? You look far too nervous for that to be just lint."

Rep gave Mimsy a very toothy grin. "You look like you mistake me for a guy who gives one single ******** about his health. I've yet to see a bartender floozy mix anything up that could even ******** phase me. I don't think you could do it, sparkles."

Candace gave Rep a blank stare. "I have." It wasn't her own memory, it was the Candace of the Blue Kingdom's, but it was still a memory. "I'll do my best," she promised, downing the rest of her drink and giving a happy sigh after. That felt good. "But Dakota's very special to me, he's safe." Though anyone was safe compared to H. "Unless you mean yourself, then I'm not so sure I can. You're just too irresistible." The fact that Candace was able to purr this and keep a straight face was a miracle. Inside she was laughing hysterically.
Mimsy stood up to Rep's teasing toward her and Candace blinked. Go Mimsy. "Just hit him, Mimsy. It's what I do." She gave the girl props for not doing that though. "I'd be interested in seeing that part of you that isn't visible, Mimsy. It sounds fascinating." And Candace was being completely serious in this. Mimsy had sounded so excited about something back during that mission, she hadn't quite caught what, but she liked seeing that.

Tuck was trouble with a capital T, but he wasn't going to make things hard for Nevada.
Heh.
"Nnnnnnope," he replied to Nevada in a voice that sounded suspiciously like a purr, "but I ain't lookin' to get in trouble tonight." His grin said otherwise. He most certainly was looking to get in to trouble tonight.
"Where's your boyfriend?"
Tuck paused as he tried to catch Candace's eye - if she met his gaze, she'd be treated to dimples and a wink.
Dakota couldn't possibly have a claim on everyone, could he?

Dakota didn't have claim really on Candace, but he heard the words safe from her. He gave a questioning look at Rep before sighing.
"Mimsy's a friend, who I am working on being just friends with. She's just stubborn." And then Candace was hitting on her and Dakota sat up a little straighter.
He even caught Tuck's gaze and smiled at the other moon. He glass was raised in a good luck toast bro. Candace was a man eater.
--
Nevada hissed as another shot was down her throat, felt like whiskey. She slowed her shots now, knowing that three in a row could be starting a little hard.
Her eyes though remained opened and bright on Tuck, and the smile was turning just a bit more friendly. A little less guarded. She was really one that couldn't handle guarded things well.
"That's good Handsome, Trouble always comes with more Trouble." She chuckled, "Roland had some lab work? He doesn't get out much I think, and i didn't want to drag him somewhere he doesn't want to go. I suppose." Honestly, Roland did his thing, and Nevada did her thing....They just met sometimes in the middle and snuggled and then went back to their things.
Nevada was eyeing Mimsy and Candace too and smiled. "Candace is a pretty lady by the way, and unattached..."

"Vha? Oh." He looked pensive for a moment, then shook his head. "No, not today. Though..."
Nah. There wasn't even anything viable to test yet. But it was going to be perfectly safe, so what was the problem?
Mimsy wasn't going to get to hear about the other thing any time soon though. With all the interruptions, he took the opportunity to shrink back a little more in his seat as a crowd had started to form around his conversation partner. Rep had seemed amiable at one point, but...
Lucky just continued to look on in that hopeless confusion of not knowing when to act or what to even do, and worked on making his way to the bottom of his first cup.

Rep gave Candace a genuine wink for her comment about blue kingdom. "I am. I certainly was at least." He propped his elbow on the table. "Shame right now I'm the ******** guy at the party with a ball and chain."
Lucky got a sidelong look.
"Cheer up mate. It might never ******** happen." Or if he kept siding with the wrong people, it might, but it wasn't very nice to be a downer.

"Ah, I have located the error in your claim. I am not a bartender floozy, so the previous failures are not applicable to me." Mimsy tilted her head, considering 'sparkles' as a nickname. That was certainly a new one, and was far more flattering than anything Clerise had ever given her. Thankfully, she didn't linger on the idea long enough for Svensyl to pick it up and begin using it, opting to address Candace instead.
"I suppose I could discuss some topics that you might be interested in during some downtime," she offered; after all, she'd babbled about all sorts of things to people who could care less about all of it. She might as well talk to someone who actually wanted to listen.
Dakota was missing the point again, but she couldn't be surprised.
"I am not stubborn. I have likes and dislikes and those simply do not mesh with yours. It's not simple to change your personality on a whim." She shifted again and set her notebook to the side, almost disappointed that Lucky had no plans to knock all of them out with some sort of experimental drug.
"Though?" Then, after a pause: "My apologies. I didn't mean to press. I certainly have no desire to talk about anything you do not want to talk about, because that makes for far more talking than I would prefer." She cleared her throat and changed the subject. "That must taste pleasant for you to be drinking it so quickly."

"Oh, Rep. I can't believe I passed up the chance to have go at you. It's a regret I'll carry with me for the rest of my life." Candace sighed mournfully, even putting the back of her hand against her forehead and swooning against the man. She chuckled and sat up soon after, getting up to get another drink.
Ah, good, Mimsy didn't think she was making fun of her. "I'd like that, Mimsy. Just shoot me a text sometime." She gave her a smile.
A movement caught her eye and Candace looked the new guy's way, giving Tuck a little wave. Oh? What was this? She poured her drink and moved closer to Nevada and Tuck. "Hey there, who's your friend, Nevada dear?"

The combined attention of Rep and Mimsy did not elicit a clever response like he hoped. Instead, it caused Lucky to choke violently on his vodka. In the process, a small gold ring with a green gem fell out of his pocket and rolled through the middle of the gathering. Runes flashed along the outer edge, but only for a moment. Clearly just an ordinary old ring one of Dakota's 'friends' must have left behind. By the time Lucky resumed breathing normally again, he was sufficiently distracted by the way his throat and part of his lungs felt like they were on fire a little bit. He had no awareness the ring had escaped him. "Is vodka. You should try," he croaked. Quote: Ring of Truth: A small ring with a simple gem fastened at the end. Status Effect: Anyone wearing the ring on their FINGER can only speak the truth. This does not affect anyone who is at a higher rank/ Fear level than the owner of the ring itself. This effect lasts until the ring is taken off.

If Rep was a monster, he'd have been a dragon. Expensive looking s**t sung to him like angels on high and he felt absolutely no guilt about lifting other people's things. By default, the universe belonged to him and if someone was happy to let something escape their sight, they never really needed it after all.
He was taking a swig of his drink when a glint of light on gold caught his eye and he very nonchalantly set down his glass on the table, getting up to seemingly go get a bottle to refill it. Along the way he accidentally dropped his phone from his pocket, stooped to pick it up and came up one ring heavier. For the time being he kept it tightly clasped in his palm, getting the bottle and heading back to his chair to sit down. He wanted to make sure it wasn't immediately missed before he slipped it on and claimed he'd always had it.
"That better no be a sarcastic regret, I wisnae that bad." he said pointedly to Candace before she headed over to look Tuck over.
