So orientation had been weird. Peyton couldn't really say it had been all that informative, but at least there'd been pie. She didn't mind sitting through a ******** of a meet and greet/Q&A if it meant walking away with three quarters of a chocolate cream pie. It'd been whole when she'd gotten to it, but through out the meeting she'd whittled away at it slowly, until finally full, she sought out a paper plate and used it as a make shift lid for more secure transporting back to her room.

She was planning on spending the rest of her evening unpacking, and trying to make the room a little less impersonal. Not that she had many possessions she could use for decorating, but really, at this point, any little thing would help.

It would have helped if she'd walked into her own room, though considering it had only been her room for a day so far, and the fact she was currently juggling a pie, it wasn't really all that surprising when she walked into her neighbor's room instead of her own. She paused just beyond the door way, having looked up from the pie in her hands to a young man with vivid green hair in a room that was a lot more lived in then her own. "Oh ********," was her immediate response. Followed quickly with, "Sorry." Then an awkward silence.

"Uh.." So articulate. "I'm your neighbor, I guess..." Smoooth, Peyton. Really smooth.

Lucky was still just a little bit paranoid about unexpected visitors.

Before the door had even closed behind Peyton, Lucky had whirled around with the reflexes of a guy who really really didn't want to be murdered. He was pointing something small and white at her, clasped between both hands. It kind of looked like a tiny furball with long claws - a deformed lucky rabbit's foot?

After a few seconds of awkward staring, he slowly began to lower it.

"Cześć..." He tilted his head as he tried to solve the puzzle of what she was doing here in the first place. Admittedly he didn't get out that much - for all he knew, she'd been here longer than he had, and he'd just never even noticed. "So. Ah. How... long have you been neighbor for?"

Peyton stiffened when something was pointed at her, then pale eyes narrowed as she tried to work out what the hell it was. "Is that a rabbits foot?" Blonde bangs fell into her face as she tilted her head to better look at the thing, and she impatiently blew them away before settling her attention on the boy himself, instead of the weird thing he was pointing at her.

Something was tossed into the silence at the thing lowered, and Peyton would have bet good money that it hadn't been english. An almost impatient look flickered across tan features before fading at his question. There was a clear accent, and from the wording Pey had to guess english wasn't his first language. "About 24 hours," she offered, shoulders lifting in a small shrug before she glanced down at her pie, then back at other hunter. "What was that you said first?"

A polite person would have excused themselves and apologized for the intrusion, but Peyton wasn't a polite person. Instead she stood there, all manner of awkwardness leaking away under her raising curiosity.

"Totem," he corrected. At some point he realized he was still holding Song in a slightly threatening manner and set the thing down on top of one of the many books that formed a wall along his bed, where she continued to look relatively harmless. 24 hours was not a lot of time, but fresh out of the pod it was just enough to flip everything anyone thought they knew about, well, anything. This girl seemed surprisingly calm. "You must have too. Is just veapon, but... not so obvious? Ready at moment of notice."

That probably still didn't explain why he'd been so quick to point it at anyone who so much as accidentally wandered into his room.

"You can never be too careful," his words trailed off into mumbling and he fixed his gaze on the floor, radiating awkward. Alpha male, he was not.

"Cześć...? Oh, is, uh, 'hello'. He finally looked up again, slightly, as if his own little room on the island wasn't familiar enough territory for him to be assertive. "I am from Polska - Poland. Vhere... do you come from..? And do you have name?"

"Totem, okay." What was a totem? Was it like a rabbits foot? Staring at the object offered little in the way of an answer. It looked like a puffball with claws, slower then she'd like to admit, even to herself, it dawned on her that that must be his weapon. He confirmed that assumption seconds after, and she nodded, twirling one of the gold rings on her thumbs. "Yep, that makes sense." She held up the hand not currently holding up the pie. "I've got rings for mine."

Being so terribly new, she wasn't about to assume much of anything as odd just yet, so she made little comment on his instinct to turn the totem on her the second she walked in the door. Who was she to point fingers? This could be normal behavior for hunters for all she knew.

Her head tilted when he explained, then tilted further as his voice trailed off. Lavender eyes blinked, slide around the room once, then snapped back to the life hunter as he answered her question. "Oh!" She knew spit all polish, or even that that had been in polish, but she had to admit, it sounded pretty cool. "America, all over the states, and I'm Peyton. Yourself?" If they were going to exchange introductions then she was going to stop hoovering in his doorway. Crossing the room she thrust her free hand out to him, smiling. "How did you say that? Chestc..?" She'd butchered it, but hey, she'd tried.

Remembering the pie, she brought it down to his eye level. "Want some? It's chocolate. I swiped it from orientation."
