This was problematic. There was a backlog of work that needed to be accomplished, and a great deal of science to be done, projects that were perhaps more important to the two of them than the necessities of their fellow hunters. They needed power, and the source of that power was beneath them, if they could manage to navigate the ocean to make it to the caves. Easier said than done, considering their questionable levels of swimming ability. 'Step One' of the guide was simple enough. They were on the beach. They had been on the beach many times before, which had only resulted in one of them being eaten once. Statistically, the odds were in their favor to successfully manage the first step, but 'Step Two', which included the word 'swim'...well, that was not in their favor at all. Mimsy finished tying her hair back into some sort of catastrophic braid-bun and glanced at Lucky, exhaling with a deep sigh as she fiddled with the air tank. "I truly hope that you are ready for this." Because that would mean one of them was, at least. Quote: Roll 1d6 1: a massive sea creature attacks you. Roll 1d20 to escape its gaping maw. If you roll 10+ you escape it, if you roll below you receive 10 damage and need to try again. 2: a bus-sized sea creature attack you. It has 30 HP and 5 auto damage. You can escape it by rolling 1d20 and getting 13+, failure results in auto damage. 3: a small-sized sea creature attack you. It has 15 HP and 3 auto damage. You can escape it by rolling 1d20 and getting 15+, failure results in auto damage. 4-6: you are safe.

Step Two was not so simple for someone who had extremely questionable swimming abilities. She floundered pathetically in the water before she determined a more manageable rhythm, and dove beneath the water, intending to slowly make her way towards the caves.
The sea monster that blinked one large eye at her had other intentions.

It was clumsy, but Mimsy managed to avoid the aquatic beast by ducking behind a stone outcrop. When she was certain that it was no longer searching for her, she closed her eyes, took a deep breath of oxygen, and moved on.

The first of the small caves was not far from her, and she guided herself to it by tugging on the seaweed that led to the mouth of it. It was the most efficient way.

This one seemed to be fairly well scavenged - only four stones remained. Mimsy gathered them all and pushed off into the water again.

It made sense to use the seaweed to guide her again.
Or it would have, if the seaweed were not alive, and trying to grope her.

With a disgusted face (because these were not even tentacles), Mimsy unwound the seaweed from her body and swam as far as she could without looking back.
