Super Sailor Lionel Location: F1 Action: attackin~ Total: 4 + 5 = 9 HP: 125 - 35 = 90
Lionel snorted at Laer, glancing up at the monster for the briefest of moments.
“Yeah, that doesn’t sound fun,” he said, idly. And when Monoceros arrived, he turned to greet him—it was definitely good to see the other Senshi free.
“Absolutely,” he agreed.
And then the monster crashed into the shield, and Lionel hissed in pain.
Monoceros was only there for a moment—he’d gone running to find a cat, and when Lionel heard his message over the phones, he couldn’t help but laugh. Oh, yeah, they sure had both gotten out.
“Yeah,” he said, though it was mostly directed at the Knight next to him, “the Negaverse sure does love to ******** talk. But it’s our world, too. So let’s prove it.”
He jumped up to punch the monster, glad to be with people he could genuinely trust.
Carterhaugh winced in pain when it hit the shield, gritting his teeth against the jolt that ran through him. But they’d done it—done something to keep it going.
So with one hand, he carefully cupped the crystal flower his weapon had bloomed into, focusing on his magic and focusing in particular on the half-youma Captain (Carnotite), who seemed both helpful and competent, which made her—he hoped—a good choice to give a little extra virtuous energy to.
The other, he offered again to the Vanguard.
“I’d like to keep helping.” If it mattered. But it had to. It had to matter. They had to be able to do something.
Quote:
Magic: Carterhaugh concentrates, and their rose glows with a soft golden light. The area around them is filled with the scent of roses, and allies within eight feet of Carterhaugh feel bolder and more virtuous, as if they could face any fears. Carterhaugh can channel for up to 30 seconds at this stage.
Squire d'If Location: I7 Action: Admiring Solaris and Dagon, attacking the monster Total: 5 + 5 = 10 HP: 125 - 35 = 90
There was pain, when the monster came down on the barrier, and d’If winced. But pain was temporary, and they all needed to fight.
The Mercury Knight’s (Ekstrom) shield came up, adn d’If gave her a sharp nod of thanks. But when Dunwich got his attention, it moved fully to her.
d’If’s eyes drifted to follow Dunwich’s, and he flashed her a brief grin. In among all of this, trust her to notice a gorgeous stranger.
“We do,” he agreed, amused. “Good eye.” The woman was gorgeous—tall, clearly alien, and radiating confidence. Whatever experience she had, d’If trusted they would be glad to have her with them, helping protect the winged Senshi with the spike.
Who, before his eyes, changed.
He had never seen someone else gain more power before. It was an incredible thing to experience, and for a moment, it had him rooted to the spot.
But she exploded with power, and that was cue enough to remind him that there was work to do.
He leapt up, aiming to smack the monster’s underbelly with his cane. Magic, perhaps, would be useful later, but for now, physical force would do the job.
Even though Asmodeus flinched from the monster hitting the shield, from the wave of electricity that came as a result, she grinned. Lunatic and delighted, with Skoll and Cernunnos’s magic flowing through her.
“Oh, you’re both ridiculous in your own ways,” she told Hati.
In that moment, she felt free. From fear, from restraint, from hesitation. Maybe a little bit from good sense.
”Infernal Blaze!” She launched herself up. Let fire form in her palm. Threw it upwards at the beast.
Let. It. Burn.
Quote:
Eternal Sailor Attack: Infernal Blaze! Sailor Asmodeus speaks the name of her attack and holds out a hand, and a fireball forms in her palm. She throws it up, and it grows massive and explodes around her with a radius of 12 feet, appearing to set the area aflame. Enemies caught in the blast will feel as if they are burning up, and those that have committed evil acts--murder, forced corruption, and similar--will find that the pain is significantly more intense. Those affected may be left with moderate burns at player discretion. The effects last for 30 seconds, and Asmodeus can use this attack twice per battle.
Hekate threw her arms over her head and quite literally ducked when the Calamitous Hollow fell from the sky. There was no hiding the way she tried to protect herself like a school kid running an earthquake drill without a desk to hide beneath.
While nothing crushed her from above as expected, the shockwave of electricity was enough to knock the wind from her lungs and slump her to her knees. Her ears felt like they were ringing, but through the sound of her own racing heart, she heard Arnica’s voice: That looks like luck turning around…
She peeked around the side of her arm, craning her head up to where she saw the beast lying across the shield, one claw piercing it like they were tiny specs of dust in a bubble wrap going against a feline. Hekate’s face paled, and from where she sat, it looked like he might have smiled, then again, it was probably perspective from her place on the cloud-covered ground.
“I-I’m sorry… But I truly find it hard to see this as luck.” It felt anything but lucky to be so close to something that could simply sneeze in their direction and blow them all out of the shield that was keeping them at bay.
“I told you… I’m a Jinx” Rather than try to stand up just to fall again, Hekate summoned her magic from where she sat on the ground beside Arnica. It was difficult to see the purple trail of smoke that normally appeared, but she hoped it’d do something and not accidentally curse an ally instead.
When the creature crashed into the shield, it brought with it lightning.
Dagon flinched as it coursed through her, but her eyes were primarily on Solaris. Solaris who was holding the greatest burden of them, Solaris who was struggling with it so desperately—she wanted to offer to help her old friend, but she knew pride. Knew that it may well not be accepted.
And besides, it seemed as if her struggles were more than worthwhile.
Dagon watched as the cat re-awakened Solaris’s latent power, and stepped over to clap her friend on the shoulder.
“Excellent,.” she said. “I am glad to see you restored, and not a moment too soon.”
With that, she leapt up herself, and although she did not call for her magic, she swung her fist with force and determination.
She would fight. If she went down, she would go down fighting. For every second, for every breath. For the new world and for her old—which needed her to survive, if she wished to save it.
Without having a weapon to use Eleonora’s only option was to take advantage of the shift in gravity. “Cone of Heat,” she spoke the name of her strongest attack.
Both hands took on a reddish tint, and when she got close to the Calamitous Hollow, she put her hands together, aiming them at an exposed place where a scale was missing. Though often impatient, she was not rash enough to consider using her basic attack and touching the beast, which was, in essence, a live wire… but her options were limited, and there may come a point where she’d have no other choice.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Cone of Heat (no flame involved it has the visual similar to heat rising off asphalt) After calling out her attack, Sailor Alcorb (Elenora) hands get very hot and take on a redish tint which last for 15 seconds. In order for this attack to be effective Sailor Alcorb (Elenora) must be facing the opponent. Putting her hands together in front of her a cone of heat erupts where she is standing towards the enemy.
Attack Duration : 15 seconds max (while her hands are red and together) Range : 6' with a 3' diameter at max range Effect : While her hands are apart they still maintain the redish tint and the attack functions the same as her basic attack. Once contact is made the area begins to get hot at a rapid rate and burns will set in, with this being a cone the affected area will be larger than her first attack. Her magic causes any area she comes into contact with to suffer the sensation of first degree sunburn in terms of pain/discomfort. If contact is maintained for more than five seconds blisters appear in relation to a second degree sunburn. These effects are only guaranteed to last for only the duration of the magic, but if a player wants their character to retain some injury afterwards they may choose to retain some blisters or sunburn. Number of times : 3 times and does not discriminate between Chaos and Order Aftermath Duration : The burns duration lasts for 20 seconds after contact is broken for the person to 'cool down' time may take longer depending on weather. Only if a player chooses, their character may also suffer from residual blisters or burn marks.
Pro: She can attempt to form the cone as many times as possible in the 15 second window. However, her hands remain very hot so watch out. Con: Interrupt-able, so long as you keep her hands apart no cone of heat happens.
Location: H9. Action: attacking, and being afraid. Total: 1 +5 (second stage) = 6. HP: 106 / 125 (-35 for general attack, +16 for heals from Demeter)
Oh, s**t.
Oh, s**t.
Oh, s**t s**t s**t s**t holy ******** s**t, what the ******** what the ******** what the ******** happening around Lete felt like being submerged underwater. Felt like time had slowed down and sped up all at once, and left her in the middle, holding somebody else’s stolen shopping bags and kidnapped child like “what in the actual pants-shitting ********……… Everybody had seen the Chaos cannon, right?
Okay, sure, fine, Mirrorspace came through with the ballista and there was something happening with shiny sparkly Order energy, but………the Negaverse??? Had??? A CHAOS CANNNON???? That they could apparently just whip the ******** out of nowhere, whenever their queen wanted it, and use on anybody else???
How long until they used that thing to just blow Order out of the water, meaning “off this mortal coil ******** long, Lete wondered as she tugged her fingers back through her hair—trying desperately (and miserably failing)—to calm back down because, like??? How long until the Negaverse turned that cannon on the Court? They clearly weren’t getting anything out of the alliance between the factions, considering how Remarque and Mirrorspace didn’t even fight that hard for people to stay (or so Lete assumed from the fact that Murikabushi had ******** left)? How long until they decided that the Court was a burden, an enemy even—
The feeling of Demeter’s magic pulled Lete back down from the panic somewhat. It was only as she felt the relief and healing that she realized something—probably the ******** snake guy with his ugly little snake guy arms, like why the ******** did snakes even need arms—must have injured her at some point.
“Babe, I……” She trembled all over, wide-eyed and significantly paler than normal, even looking into the beautiful, precious face of her Pumpkin Spice Bae. “I love you, okay? You know that? And—pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease don’t ever piss off that Nega-Queen? And I need to attack now, I gotta do something to help right, but……please don’t make me lose you just because she’s awful, and she’s evil, and she decided to cut you down because you being your amazing, positive self was, like? Morally offensive to her scummy, horrible Negaverse existence or whatever? ………Please?”
Looking away from Demeter ever so briefly, Lete fired off her magic. She didn’t have a face to trace her fingers around in the air, so she settled with tracing the outline of one of those ******** scales. Without caring much for how true the hit struck, she looked back to Demeter, went over closer to their side.
Everything except for Demeter was terrible forever and thanks, Lete hated it.
Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Decadent Rapture. While calling their attack, Lete traces their hand through the air as if following the curve of a face. Two enemies within a fifteen-foot radius feel something like a warm hand brushing down their cheeks, and then, the world around them seems to erupt in decadent sensation. For the duration of Lete’s attack, affected enemies are subjected to an onslaught of their five senses. Scents and tastes are more powerful, sounds seem louder, colors seem so vibrant that they might as well be alive, and anything that makes contact with their skin feels oppressively, suffocatingly heavy, as if the fabric of their outfit wants to choke them out or as if the slightest accidental touch should leave them with bruises. At this stage, the initial rush of pleasure from these sensations turns to pain more quickly; such decadence excites the mind, but ultimately proves to be too much. While this sensory overload deals no physical damage and strong-willed enemies can power through it to act, for the duration of Lete’s magic, affected enemies will struggle to think of anything else but the overwhelm.
This attack lasts for 35 seconds, and Lete may use it two times per battle. Any lingering effects of the sensory overload after the attack ends are up to individual players!
Shield: Whatever you roll this round will be applied towards a shield erected during this round; the shield magic will protect everyone in the square from damage reflective of your roll and modifier. This information will be updated in the gdoc as soon as possible so everyone in the square is aware of current buffers, but if you are using shield magic it is encouraged to note this in the gdoc as soon as possible. Any excess of protection will not carry over to the next round.

Sailor Scout Attack:Stay with Me!
Mirabilite utters a heartfelt plea, and sheds a single crystalline tear. The tear shatters upon hitting the ground - sending up a mire of iridescent sparkles that seem to coalesce and condense in the air around him. Almost like a glittering dome of static.
AOE: 10 foot radius Number of Targets: Only those within the dome. Number of uses: 3 Duration: 20 seconds Effect: All who are caught within the sphere are compelled to stay within it. Mirabilite's heartfelt plea and tears are meant to endear and focus them on him. An easy target, a helpless innocent. They're open to attack him - but why would they? She's just standing there asking them to stay with him. Just for a moment...
Should any opponents overcome the magic that makes them feel endeared towards Mirabilite and choose to attack him, they will take half the damage of their attack. This works for both magical and physical attacks. Similarly, if Mirabilite attacks them, she will take half the damage himself as well.
Mirabilite cannot leave the sphere, but anyone else can go in and out of it; the magic will compel anyone within the dome to stay with him, and anyone who attempts to leave the dome will feel like they are trudging through molasses. Because the attack can be seen, those outside it can avoid stepping into it.
The dome does not act as a shield, but if anyone outside the dome attacks someone inside with physical or magical damage, the damage will be split evenly among everyone inside the dome.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: "Sublime Deposition!"
Cryolite says the word, and his body temperature magically drops to below freezing. He is not affected by this, but anyone who comes in contact with him will feel as though they are touching dry ice and will feel as if they are suffering mild frostbite for as long as they are touching him, and for up to twenty seconds after they break contact. While he is channeling his magic, it will appear as if he is sublimating into a chilly, foggy vapor. The illusion of the cascading fog will billow off of Cryolite and spread in a ten foot radius of wherever he moves. Anyone who passes through this vapor will feel as if ice crystals are beginning to grow on their skin; the air is so cold that players stuck in the fog may freeze up and have difficulties moving, panic from the sudden flash freeze, or have breathing difficulties that result in coughing and choking from the severe cold.
No physical or lasting damage is done in this magic, only the very uncomfortable mental sensation of such. However, players can choose to sustain any lasting damage in the form of chills or up to mild frostbite.

Forgotten Spell:"Taxane's Fire"
An eerie chartreuse green fireball leaps from Prehnties dagger in a radius of up to 20 feet; when it hits the target it feels like being hit with a baseball and contact is caustic enough that it can cause skin agitation or acidic burns. Lasting damage is up to the player, but the blast can also briefly poison a target; symptoms of poisoning can include a fast heart rate, muscle spasms and labored breathing for as long as the player likes. He can repeat this action 3 times.
Refusing to shift into her watery form, Lavendulan summoned the magic she obtained from Almadal’s Museum. “Frozen Star,” the air around her hand became increasingly cold, and when she closed it into a tight fist, three snowflake-shaped throwing stars formed between each finger, which were simultaneously thrown at the Calamitous Hallow.
[Forgotten Spell Enhancement-Frozen Star While the actions happen quickly, the air around Lavendulan's hand becomes incredibly cold and when she closes it into a tight fist, the moisture in the air crystallizes into three snowflake-shaped throwing stars, one held between each finger.
All three must be thrown simultaneously; however, their path of travel may vary between as close to a straight line as possible at a single or stationary target or spread to possible hit multiple targets or hinder an escape. These throwing stars are brittle and meant to shatter upon impact, however, it is up to player discretion if they want to take moderate piercing damage instead of (or in addition to) the shatter effect if hit. If a star shatters against an inanimate object or the ground it coats the area in a 1.5' radius of rime. If it hits a player the ice shards coat the clothing and skin in the general area in rime making it difficult to move while joints begin to ache as if frostbite was crawling through their veins where they were hit.
The attack is dodgeable, especially at further distances, as it relies on both accuracy and luck to hit a moving target.

Once they were in a safer space, Dravite used the shift in gravity to jump towards the Calamitous Hollow and strike at it with his weapon.
Captain - The feather charm becomes a dagger while the chain links (8ft) becomes thicker. The red pendulum remains at the end of the chain as a weight.
If Dravite is able to wrap the chain around an opponent's limb, the red pendulum will start to glow causing the opponent to hallucinate that they're seeing/ hearing movement of a bird to a flock of birds flying at them from their peripherals (severity of the illusion is to the opponent players discretion). This lasts 15 seconds each time he entangles someone.
Fluorapatite - Eternal Senshi of Static Location: C2->B2 Action: Moved closer to the Sovereign in B2, and attacking CH Total: 10+10(pin)+10(rank)=30 HP: 150-35-10=105
Although Flurapatite suspected it might be immune to her magic, which was a significantly lesser form of the electrical shockwave that swept over the field, she used her magic "Static Shock". Her hand reached out toward the intended target, and from it an arch of static lept toward the Calamitous Hollow.
Sailor Scout Attack: Static Shock Sìdòuèr targets one opponent within 10' of her current location. Rubbing her hands together she forms a ball of static energy forms in the palm of her hand as an image of a Kirin begins to form it then charges/arches towards the intended target. If the ball of static energy hits, it gives the single opponent a nasty shock it may numb the area where the opponent was struck (but it will not paralyze them) and, if a battle takes place at night or in a dark area, there is a chance of the opponent's vision being either momentarily blinded or seeing the afterimage of the shock for 2-5 seconds (it is the exact same effect as if you are standing in a dark room and someone flips the lights on then off really quick you'll see a bright probably blue after image lingering in front of you while your eyes adjust). If the opponent is more than 10' away from her the static shock will still reach out towards the opponent but fizzle out. This attack can be used 3 times per battle.
Location: E10. Action: attacking the Calamitous Hollow, getting DSS magic wonkiness whammied. Total: 8 (roll x2 for DSS magic) HP: 65 / 100 (-35 for general attack, 4 damage prevented by Aberdonia’s shield, -4 for DSS magic backlash)
So many things happening all at once had Arcalís reeling. First, the shock from the cannon that the Chaos Queen had used on the Calamitous Hollow. It rammed into Arcalís with a shock that compared to how he imagined the meteor that had brought the Chaos to his world had slammed into the ground in the Sixteen Gods Temple’s courtyard.
But unlike the Chaos of his homeworld, to which Arcalís had grown accustomed, this Chaos felt different. Alien. Familiar in that he could recognize it as Negaverse Chaos, but it felt like his skin was burning off. His starseed felt as though it might collapse from the overwhelming pressure. Everything inside him lurched, first when the initial shockwave of Chaos rushed out and then again as Arcalís felt its ripples coming for him.
It……… It was too much.
Shaking in the way Mauritz had tried to shame out of him—accusing Lilitu of using his natural fear response manipulatively—Arcalís felt his knees give out. Between the Chaos from that Negaverse Queen’s canon and the attack from the Hollow itself, he couldn’t bear it. Fighting against some enemy it couldn’t identify, his stomach revolted. He doubled over, retching and just trying to be as quiet as he could. Arcalís could identify a leader’s rousing motivational speech so easily, and Airan’s successor as Sailor Murikabushi didn’t need anybody undermining him right now.
He was pushing his way back to standing when he felt Madriu reaching for him. In answer to the question, he gave a brief shake of his head. “I’m not, kyzaile,” Arcalís said softly, eyes gleaming earnestly. “But I did not come all this way to abandon you when so many are depending on us.… When you are depending on me.…… I’m not okay, but I’m ready to fight. When have I ever walked away from one?”
Sometimes, to be fair, but usually only after somebody had begged him to stand down and carry on the fight another day.
As he clambered the rest of the way up, Arcalís leaned on Madriu somewhat. Not overly much, and when he got back on his own feet, he felt somewhat steadier. At least steady enough to aim his arm, spin, and throw a sweeping hand motion toward the Calamitous Hollow. For the moment, though, he reserved his use of the Merchant’s pin. Madriu might need him to have that strength later.
Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Adverse Reaction! As Arcalís calls his attack, he extends a hand toward a single target then spins, making a sweeping motion toward them. For the duration of the magic, the target feels as though they are beset by intense adversity, as though the situation has turned against them, the odds are not in their favor, and everyone around them wishes to see them fail. They may try to power through this, but they will also find it somewhat harder to act: their limbs will feel heavier, moving will cause them pain, and regardless of what they do, they will feel as though someone (the universe, the situation, any bosses or commanding officers, any personal enemies, any divine beings someone believes in, Cosmos herself, et al.) is hostile to them and does not want them to succeed. Any lasting damage when the magic ends is up to player discretion. This magic lasts for 25 seconds and Arcalís may use it three times per battle.

Watching everyone come together to attack the Calamitous Hollow would’ve been totally perfect if not for the sound of somebody’s voice playing through the Captain’s communicator. Murikabushi took care not to look at the Captain himself, lest he think Murikabushi was having second thoughts about endorsing him or anything like that. But god, sometimes you just really had to roll your eyes at a b***h, and whoever was talking on the Nega-Comms super deserved it.
“‘Wouldn’t have got here without our generous assistance,’ my ******** a**, Lady Miss Thing,” Murikabushi drawled, more to himself than anybody else, affecting a sneery caricature of the Received Pronunciation that he’d heard. “You ******** twats can’t get anything done without non-consensually parasitizing the Earth and her people, but you wanna act like you have any inherent claim to this place just because all of you were born here, properly?” The mocking accent fell away. “Miss me with that garbage, Queen, because I absolutely the ******** cannot. And if he’s a top, then Cosmos’s glitter-encrusted third testicle, my heartfelt condolences to his ******** boyfriend.”
Immediately after saying this, Murikabushi realized that Grieve might have been wearing off on him.
The stupid part was, the presentation in that little villain monologue had been suitably dramatic and full of panache. Styling, totally on point, aside from every single word being some grandstanding bullshit that rested on unprovable hypotheticals. Even from a single monologue, it felt safe to guess that this a*****e Negaverse General (probably?) and Murikabushi were of a kind. In a different life, Murikabushi could have called him “friend.”
But there wasn’t any time for such things, now.
The protection from Aberdonia’s papyrus helped shield everyone around them from some of the electricity coursing down through the atmosphere and the Cantankerous Harold’s attacks. Not nearly enough to prevent all the damage from getting through, but Murikabushi had meant it when he’d told Elsa that he could do this all day. Feeling another power coursing through him, Murikabushi looked around for its source. Spotting Harmonia, one of the few people not attacking, he flashed her a grin.
“Thanks for that,” he told her brightly. Then, finally, he looked to Elsa. “Hunger and emptiness—want to see if the cocktail ******** Harold up something extra? Together?”
Murikabushi only waited long enough for Elsa to respond before extending an arm toward Harold’s underbelly and snapping his fingers, summoning the most powerful magic that his world had gifted him. “Hunger’s Hollow!”
Quote:
Eternal Sailor Attack: Hunger’s Hollow. Murikabushi extends an arm and snaps a finger to call up this magic. Enemies within 20 feet become wracked by the feeling of extreme hunger and deprivation, the sort where you feel drained and empty, like simply existing is too much effort. Physically, they will feel an empty stomach, body aches, and hunger pangs (however those feel for them) that refuse to be tuned out. These pains are accompanied by desperation to satiate a hunger within them (which can be for anything: food, drink, affection/intimacy, alcohol or narcotics, the answers to the math homework, etc.), but a sense that they will never be satisfied. Targets may also experience any combination of: dizziness, disorientation, emotional hypersensitivity, inability to focus, increased anger, decreased impulse control, decreased emotional control/regulation, and/or feelings similar to depression.
The magic ends after 45 seconds, but characters may experience lingering side-effects at player discretion. Murikabushi may use this attack once per battle.
Elsa wasn’t sure he even registered whatever happened when the Calamitous Hollow hit the shield—there was a jolt of pain, sure, but whatever the spike was channeling through him and Muri? That was nearly as bad.
But at least it was pain shared. At least he’d been able to take some of the burden, and Murikabhshi wasn’t enduring it all on his own.
He could hear a voice on the Negaverse communicator—talking mad s**t, and Elsa had to respect it at least a little. But it sounded like one of their own (was that Monoceros?Holy s**t, it was) was getting involved to shoot right back.
Oh, ******** yes.
He was relieved to see a shield go up over them, and flashed the Senshi who had probably cast it—Aberdonia a grin.
“Thanks,” he said, quickly. “And you, too,” he told [bHarmonia, because he could feel something else—more power—flowing through him.
And whatever the spike had done? He felt charged.
So when Murikabushi asked if he wanted to do this together, he nodded.
“Let’s show that thing exactly what we can do.”
He swept his arm upward, other hand brushing over the pin from Almadel and letting that power flow through him, too.
”Endless Void of Emptiness!”
Let it feel cold. Let it feel as hollow as it had to be. Let what power he could give go towards absolutely devastating the thing that wanted to kill their planet.
Quote:
Eternal Sailor Attack: Endless Void of Emptiness! Elsa speaks the name of his attack, and must touch the ground with his bare hand to finish the activation. A whirl of shadows spreads out around him to a radius of twelve feet. Within the radius, enemies feel as if they have been reduced to an empty husk--devoid of all emotion, will, or desire. They will also feel extremely cold, as if something is freezing them from the inside out, centered around the heart. These effects last for 50 seconds, and this attack can only be used once per battle.
Page 8, Page 21, Page 35, Page 46 Location: C8 Action: Staying close to Ganymede, but attacking with his magic. Near Alastor, Valhalla, Lucien, and the others around Laurelite. Total: 3 + 10 + 10 (Almadel’s pin) HP: 150 - 35 - 10 (Collateral damage)= 105
Naturally, it would be the one who was the worst fighter amongst them who thought it was a good idea to try and convince the Queen of the Negaverse not to murder them all once this was over. The one who had almost been corrupted by her before.
What would have happened to Valhalla, then? They would have fought to get him back, of course. But what would that have done to their family? Or their friends?
Sessrumnir kept his arm across Ganymede, pulling her further back so she wouldn’t think to do something stupid.
“Don’t,” he warned her again, especially as Laurelite decided to show off her prowess. They definitely couldn’t face off against that scythe and teleportation. Much less if they had to deal with everyone else in the Negaverse around them.
Alastor and Lucien were still there, of course. Alastor had something for him, and was pushing it onto his wrist before he realized he was doing anything.
A bracelet that matched Alastor’s had been placed around his wrist, and he felt himself calm just a bit. For luck.
Thankfully with his magic, he didn’t have to move very far. He channeled a storm with his stormglass, aiming it for an area away from where Devyn had jumped up to attack. The sooner they got this over with… well, maybe Valhalla could somehow convince Laurelite that they were worth still keeping around.
Lucien kept his eyes on Queen Laurelite the entire time she spoke, the entire time she teleported up to attack, and once she was on her feet again. He bristled uncomfortably as Valhalla spoke to her. Lucien doubted someone so full of Chaos, someone with so much innocent blood on their hands, would actually care about what Valhalla had to say. She’d very clearly been mocking him -- mocking all of them earlier. The little stunt with the scythe made his skin crawl.
Alastor patted his side, letting him know his intention. They had a long way to go if they wanted to defeat this Calamitous Hollow. So Lucien nodded, his tail flicking with agitation, but dug his claws into Alastor’s shoulder.
When Alastor jumped to attack, Lucien waited until Alastor had reached as high as he could, then Lucien launched himself off his shoulder.
The shift in form was instantaneous. One moment he had four paws, and then the next he was lashing out at the serpent’s underbelly with sharp claws.
He landed gracefully on his two feet, now standing taller than Alastor, who was pretty tall himself.
“Apologies for not sharing this sooner. With everything going on, there never seemed to be an appropriate time,” he frowned morosely as he kept his gaze on the Queen, flexing his fingers, ready to attack once more.

Surtur glanced down at Rainier and then laughed.
“A wise man indeed, if you can remember all that! Very well,” he said as he took a step back, but not before he could clap a hand once more against Beira’s back.
“Late or not, you are always a joy to have around, Beira. You make the exciting feel safe, dear friend. We could use your critical mind to keep us from danger. Here we are facing one as grave as the world’s end, but we will be beside one another once more.”
Sure enough, a magical arrow locked the serpent into place, and a brilliant beam of moonlight burst through the clouds. Everyone was coming through with their promises. Now they just needed to fulfill their end of the bargain.
His eyes followed Rainier as she moved away from them, approaching a young woman (Acrucis) who looked broken with worry. Naturally, Surtur decided to move closer to her, and although he didn’t hear everything she said, he still felt a pain in his heart.
Before he followed her, he made a quick jump to strike at the Calamitous Hollow, and then returned his attention to Beira, Rainier, and her friend. Thankfully it seemed as though Helene found his party, although he would have liked to catch up with him more. After all of this. Yes.
“My friend, although we have only just met, your presence helps illuminate the way in this dark world,” he said, holding out a hand to her, while placing the other over his heart.
“Fear is not what makes us weak. It is inaction when there is a chance to do something good. Not knowing what your magic can do is not a flaw, but a building block for growth. You are a flower trying to bloom in the dim. Sometimes the light of the sun is only obtainable through yourself. And do you know what I see, my friend? Blinding radiance.”
