Hobbies:

Scuba Diving This is kind of both a seasonal and occupational hobby. Marisa has been scuba diving since she was in high school, it was prompted by her love for aquatic animals and the desire to be in the water with them. She has gone diving in the pacific northwest but much prefers the vibrant reefs or clear waters. Though she won't ever tell her parents, she has plans to go scuba diving with sharks for work related purposes of course... (Powered plots must be mule approved for locations outside of Destiny City)

Stone Sculpting This was actually a bit of a surprise hobby. Out of boredom she had, over time, collected several river stones perfect for skipping across the lake but instead of tossing them over the waters surface she kept them simply just because. After fiddling around on YouTube one day she came across an artist that carved intricate designs into river stones. Intrigued she went out and bought a tool similar to his and before she knew it every flat-surfaced stone she had saved had been sculpted into some rather beautiful pieces that were later given away as gifts.

Watercraft Growing up, her family owned a lake-side vacation home that had it's own dock. Relatives were welcome to use the space throughout the year but every summer they would go out there for three to five weeks to just get away from their busy city life. It was pretty common for them to host family reunions here. Activities included kayaking, canoeing, as well as water skiing with a small speedboat. While in college she was a part of a dragon-boat racing team for three years and won a few competitions before having to sadly quit after an injury. Since then she has gone back to kayaking since it is less taxing on her shoulder.

Achievement Driven The success of a day is determined by how many things she can accomplish in that time frame. She is goal oriented and keeps herself quite organized with lists and updated calendars so she knows what's coming up and when things are due. Don't worry though she has time allocated for some rest and relaxation too. She isn't so busy that fun isn't an option.

Water Under the Bridge Sure things irritate her and she can get a bit ... moody... to put it lightly. But come the next day, or even a few hours later, she's already moved past it especially for small transgressions. While a lot of people forgive and not forget, she would really just rather not dwell or worry about it and get on with her day.



Flaws:

Snappy If she has made plans to do something it is best to not try to change them on her last minute. This makes her very irritable and vocal about her displeasure on having to re-organize her plans for the day. The severity is made worse if she is not able to meet her goal set for the day. So long as you give her at least three days notice then she can plan accordingly, but changes last minute are a no go.

Enigma Marisa is not what one would consider an open book by any means. She has a bit of a poker face that makes her difficult to read and can sometimes be considered a bit of a resting b- face by people who don't really know her. At times she can look like she is paying attention and listening to what you're saying when in actuality she really isn't. Her secretive nature prompts her to mostly keep thoughts to herself so there really is no way to tell what's on her mind without directly asking.

Challenge: Water you waiting for?

Abilities -- Your half-youma will have two unique abilities in addition to the boosts that come with being a Negaverse Agent! They retain the same boosts and abilities as another officer of their rank, however lose their weapon to gain these abilities. Half-youma may don a civilian glamour for a few hours in special situations (this takes a lot of energy).

  • Physical: Draconic-Water
    Lavendulan's youma side is that of an adolescent water dragon. As such her draconic aspects have altered her physically which also grants advantages while in aquatic-type environments. Among these changes are her claw-tipped fingers which have webbing between them allowing for quicker movement speed while swimming in water. Her claws are sharp enough to tear flesh and fabric, but not pierce through thick armor or metal but can scratch it. The scales cover approximately 40% of her body most notably around her neck down her upper back and over her shoulder blades and down her backside which fade around under her sides and under her chest (wraps around her ribcage but not completely), as well as on her hips and down the side of each leg. These scales act like armor and the skin there is more durable, however multiple strikes to the same area may loosen the scales, leaving sensitive, raw skin underneath. Being merged with a water dragon type youma grants movement speed while in water due to the webbing between her fingers as well as the ability to breath underwater (which will probably never come in to play outside of a solo).

  • Magical: Aqua Shift
    While still retaining her actual form Lavendulan's entire body transforms into water.

    When in this form she is one with her element; physical attacks pass through her unaffected like putting your hand into a flowing stream her body morphs around it. Her movement speed is increased, like a river upstream weaving through rapids, but not to exceed the next highest stage allowing her to change location quickly. While metamorphosis is active Lavendulan can bend water around her in a 7' radius. It takes one of two shapes; a sphere similar to the size and weight of a medicine ball or a thin whip. Both are used more defensively like a harsh shove to push someone over or a snapping sensation. At most, there might be a bruise in the morning unless the character she's attacking lands on something unfortunate

    Captian Upgrade: Lavendulan is able to pull water into her own form to mend up to moderate injuries sustained before initiating the Aqua Shift.

    General Upgrade: She is able to extend her water form to one other individual protecting them as it would herself as well as grants the speed increase using the original parameters that the target can move +1 rank higher than their own but not to exceed GK/GQ. Additionally, they can benefit from the healing ability but Laven must move the water to them.

    Duration: 30 seconds
    Usage: 3
    Note: Certain magic attacks still work but will need to be discussed before a battle. At General stage the movement increases while in water form will not match that of a General King or Queen.

  • Passive Powered Enhancement: Path of Frost
    The air around Lavendulan cools and as she moves a path of frost follows behind her. It lasts for about 10 minutes in cold weather, while in the summer it might linger for about 2 minutes before melting.

  • [Forgotten Spell Enhancement-Frozen Star
    While the actions happen quickly, the air around Lavendulan's hand becomes incredibly cold and when she closes it into a tight fist, the moisture in the air crystallizes into three snowflake-shaped throwing stars, one held between each finger.

    All three must be thrown simultaneously; however, their path of travel may vary between as close to a straight line as possible at a single or stationary target or spread to possible hit multiple targets or hinder an escape. These throwing stars are brittle and meant to shatter upon impact, however, it is up to player discretion if they want to take moderate piercing damage instead of (or in addition to) the shatter effect if hit. If a star shatters against an inanimate object or the ground it coats the area in a 1.5' radius of rime. If it hits a player the ice shards coat the clothing and skin in the general area in rime making it difficult to move while joints begin to ache as if frostbite was crawling through their veins where they were hit.

    The attack is dodgeable, especially at further distances, as it relies on both accuracy and luck to hit a moving target.

  • [Mutation Enhancement - LOCKED]Magical: Rime Shift
    While still retaining her actual form Lavendulan's body begins to get colder than it already normally is. Rime begins to form on her horns and claws, expanding until her body is covered and she herself turns into a being of ice.

    When in this form she is one with her element; The ice form is very solid and can take several hits, but too many will end the magic early. She gains no speed increase while in this form as she would in her Aqua shift, however, grabbing ahold of her will spread the rime onto the attacking character. The effects of frostbite grow in severity the longer they hold on but once the person lets go it ends with minimal lingering effects as their limb returns to normal temperature. While this shift is active Lavendulan can either bend two hailstones of ice around her in a 10' radius; they are the size of golf balls and feel like a sharp double punch if hit. Or, she may combine the two hailstones into a thin sheet of ice, a round shield with snowflake patterning, to protect one person for one hit up to 10' away; the shield is single directional and not a dome and breaks after one attack.

    • Tallulah - leaping water

    • Type: Feral

    • Appearance: A watery ice kirin. The youma's horns and hooves look like they're made of ice but not as fragile. It has thin scales along its legs, underbelly, shoulders, and hips, and patches of soft fur, and a lovely spinal ridge down its back. It is about the size of a quarter horse and has thick, sturdy legs.

    • Ability: Tallulah is similar to a mountain goat and is unaffected by difficult terrain, be it an almost vertical surface (if he can get a foothold she can climb it), and icy or slushy ground will not slow it down. Tallulah runs at the speed of a standard horse, but is somewhat slowed down when carrying up to a single passenger. He can run across water for up to one minute per day.

    • Antique Tophat - An old, well-worn, black tophat.
      When this tophat is placed atop any inanimate object, its magic will morph both it and the object into a golem based off of that object. The golem cannot speak any intelligent or understandable words but it can fulfill base commands. It is durable and has as much physical strength as a Knight or General but it has no magical abilities. The golem can still be destroyed with adequate force but without external destruction it can manifest for up to 6 hours unless dismissed prematurely by their creator. These golems will always take a humanoid form and can be a maximum of six feet tall, though they may manifest much smaller depending on player desires. Once the magic fades, the inanimate object and the tophat both return to their original forms. The tophat may not have any magic leftover, but it can be kept as a memento!


    • Opalescent Charm Bracelet - A silver bracelet with five round, opalescent charms dangling from it.
      Though this looks like an ordinary charm bracelet, when the magic is activated all five opalescent spheres pull off of the bracelet and form baseball sized spheres of light. All five spheres surround a single target of the wearer’s choice; the glowing wisps spin in a steady, circular pattern around the target about two feet away from their body. The orbs move with the target, but if anyone (or anything) comes in contact with one of the wisps, it will explode into a burst of light, causing a tingling sensation to whoever collided with them. This can cause up to fifteen seconds of temporary blindness or numbness to enemies, but at player discretion the orbs can also cause the temporary sensation of pain or lasting damage. The orbs will hover around the target until they explode, or for up to five minutes before they will dissolve. The magic only works once, and after the magic expires, the charm bracelet can be kept as a memento.


    • Crystal Flower - The flower petals will remain blood red after use and the flower can be kept as a memento. (Used in the 2025 Meta)

    • Crystalized Wisp - A palm sized glass glass stone with a wisp that sometimes seems to dart about inside.
      During the battle with the Cosmic Creature, the force of the explosion encased some wisps in a glass-like crystal. The wisps are too small to have ever become anything substantial but sometimes they aimlessly float about inside the glass. The glass is smooth and comforting to hold and, if holding it while in a thoughtful or meditative state it can unlock a cosmic memory or image. This may be related to some meta or deep space information, or more personalized based on the wielder. All memories need to be approved by staff and players can contact The Space Cauldron with requests for the type of information their character can unlock. Staff will work with players to give their character insight on a topic of interest to them. The magic only works once, and after the magic expires, the crystalized wisp can be kept as a memento
      .


    Permanent Items
    • Metallic Bracelet - An antique bracelet made of some sort of metal.
      It has the ability to amplify magic usage; this must be plotted with your roleplay partner before use. You must ask for permission to use this item in events/ORPs. When activated, this bracelet allows the wearer to get an extra use out of their strongest magic (up to third stage). They can only recover magic they have ICly earned; a Super Senshi may not get an extra use out of their Eternal magic since they have not unlocked it. Senshi can recover one use of their strongest magic, and Knights may recover up to 45 seconds of their energy pool. Mauvians will recover one extra use of their laser and will not be so exhausted after using it the first time. For Negaverse characters, or characters who do not usually have magic, they will instead gain the ability to fire a concentrated laser from the bracelet while in battle. The bracelet will only have a few shots (no more than five) and the strength of the blast is dependent on the character’s rank: At first stage or lower, the blast feels like a harsh slap, at second stage the blast feels like a harsh kick, and at third stage or higher the blast feels hot enough that it may cause the sensation of burning or stun the opponent if hit. Due to the uniqueness of youma/half youma characters’ abilities and powers, before equipping them with a Metallic bracelet, please PM the mule to work out details.


    • Sparkling Earrings - A pair of matching earrings.
      When shared between two people, one worn per person, it allows an immediate connection between their minds for up to two hours per day. These earrings allow the wearers to transfer thoughts and images, and is good for discreet communication as it cannot be tracked or monitored by anyone else. When the magic ends, the earring disappears from the shared partner and returns to the owner. The earrings must be together to recharge. The earrings can be used regardless of distance or location.


    • Shadow Pass Charm - A small, flame shaped gemstone. It is an iridescent black, but sometimes seems like a small flame has ignited in the dark depths.
      This small gemstone has a hole carved into the top of it that allows it to be fastened or worn in many different ways. This charm allows the user to walk into one shadow and out of another random shadow, limited only to whatever plane they are on. If on Earth, the charm can only be used in Destiny City and will only take them to another location in Destiny City, however it can be used on homeworlds, in Mirrorspace, and in the Dark Kingdom. The user will only ever walk out of a shadow in the same plane they entered a shadow in. While the charm does not allow complete control over the ending destination, with enough focus it can be somewhat manipulated to move the character in the direction they desire. The character does not need to have a shadow in mind or have been in a location before; this is most useful when exploring or looking for locations you did not know existed. The charm will allow only the user to pass through a shadow; they cannot bring a guest with them unless the guest also has a Shadow Pass Charm, however travelling together will use the magic in both charms and they must be connected in some way while travelling. The Shadow Pass Charm is a one way trip; you cannot return to your original destination after using it. It can be used once per day.

    • Rugose Pendant - A blackened, wrinkled rock set into a silver pendant with an indigo glow trapped inside. It can be found discarded in Negaspace or the Rift. To use the item, an agent or Negaverse senshi must energy drain the rock. Once drained, the rock will crack and disintegrate. The rock's violet light will then envelop the user, cloaking them in the appearance of a youma. A youma aura will overwhelm the user's natural aura, though it will not disguise their aura. Their youma appearance must adhere to youma guidelines for personal or player youma. The user does not gain any special abilities while under the effects of the item, and their current abilities are not typically hampered by the item. The Rugose Pendant's effects last until the character powers down or until 3 hours have passed, whichever is sooner. The Pendant may be used once a day.

    • Article of Strength - An ancient piece of jewelry customized by the player
      The Article of Strength will take the form of any wearable piece of jewelry the player likes, either a ring, bracelet, necklace or earrings (or other jewelry with staff approval). When worn, this item will grant +1 to all IC Dice Rolls in any staff run roleplay hosted by The Space Cauldron. This may not carry over to player run events and is at the discretion and decision of the player host. The item is non-transferable and can only be worn by the player who claims it. It can be worn and used as a civilian, or when powered up.


    • Article of Resilience - An ancient piece of jewelry customized by the player
      The Article of Resilience will take the form of any wearable piece of jewelry the player likes, either a ring, bracelet, necklace or earrings (or other jewelry with staff approval). When worn, this item will grant -1 to all damage done to a character through IC Dice Rolls in any staff run roleplay hosted by The Space Cauldron. This may not carry over to player run events and is at the discretion and decision of the player host. The item is non-transferable and can only be worn by the player who claims it. It can be worn and used as a civilian, or when powered up.



    Personal Items
    • Mysterious Rift Crystal A rare, powerful uncut crystal that had been excavated from a time and place both unknown and unseen by The Merchant. The original owner had offered it to him along with ancient lore that eluded to a dark queen, and her fallen domain. A black palm-sized relic of the Negaverse that emits a comfortable chaos signature. The charge to it is chaotic, and a bit erratic, but it is clear that there is something unique about this crystal that gave it this much of a charge after being around for so long. It is unknown how it has held onto energy after so many (centuries?) or how to tap into the energy. Unlike the purple crystals in the Dark Kingdom, it is suspected that this might have been taken from the Rift.

    Honestly, you saved my life. Had you not found me, I would have likely died at the lake. I resisted this new life of mine and even though I tried to keep you at an arms distance, you were kind and patient towards me. Allowed me to come into my own on my own terms. I've grown a lot over the last several years thanks to your guidance. But now that we are both Generals, I'm glad that we are still friends.

    For almost six months we were nothing more than unknown neighbors living across the hall from one another, ships passing in the night until we all but collided on the threshold leading into, and out of, the barracks. You've taught me many things since that day, what it means to be a half-youma and how to accept both my natures as they now are a part of me. The chains that bound me to the room where I hid away for months were broken and you've pulled me out of that shell and helped me move forwards with my live. In the months since we first met, you have become my first for many things; my first crush, my first kiss, my first relationship. I won't lie by saying we're the perfect couple, we definitely have our dysfunctional moments but I will say I love you.

    I understand that the Negaverse comes first in terms of priority, but I won't lie by saying I don't miss you. The home we built has gotten dusty and I find myself spending more time in the Rift as a means to pass the time. Perhaps I should have taken on a new recruit but I'm not confident enough in my leadership skills to pursue that kind of task.
