DEUS EX MACHINA PERSONNEL FORMThe Hunter Name: Nora Ravensgrove Nicknames: Gender: Female Height: 5'9" Age: 24 25 26 Birthday: July 24th (Leo) Familiar Relations: Gale Gentry / Leslie Gentry (Cousins on mother's side)
Category: Sun - Does the 'hands on' operations, more tied to execution of missions, attacking, assaulting, defense, repair, and guarding work. Moon is related more to repair/rescue and defense while sun is related more to offense.
Nora has always been a caretaking sort, happy to be the older sister/maternal figure where applicable, and unsconsiously treats everyone like she would treat her family. This isn't to say she's soft by any means: dry humor and tough love are how she's scraped by in life, and if tested her kindness won't overstay its welcome. In her work as in her social life, Nora likes things clean cut; anything that doesn't fit may suffer a keen observance and questioning until it reveals itself. This may make her come across as tactless, though she views it as getting to the point. On the whole she's level-headed but optimistic about her job, even if "enthusiasm" translates into "lots of dry ribbing" for other players.
Any friend may count on her as a hardy, if overprotective, addition. Just don't count on her to be very subtle; more often than not, Nora just doesn't know when to back off since she's used to being in authority. She prefers to do things by the book whenever possible, finding comfort in rules and regulations and floundering without parameters to refer to; however, more than once she has deviated to riskier actions that she "believed had a good chance of working" or "was a necessary risk". Her driving force is simply to be "the good guy", even in an environment full of grey and grey morality.
In her spare time, Nora scrounges together little meals as she finds cooking to be a soothing, if trying process. Her results are . . . mixed. She also finds the high from lots of exercise addictive and might drag others into her regimine to "join in the fun." Strategy games like chess and other card games may bring out her gambling vice (and thorough enthusiasm).
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter? Nora had a rough time of it in West Sussex with the shadows stressing her already less than ideal family situation, and as such refused to continue acknowledging them for the majority of her life. Decidedly against pursuing the supernatural in lieu of the much more real problems in front of her, she strove to help support her family with side jobs where she was able and immediately applied to the police force out of college, venting her increasing frustration with her visions and a thirst for justice.
After increasing tensions with the chief constable over several particularly odd cases, she was in danger of losing her job and, consequently, her and her young daughter's livelihood. With her options beginning to run out, Nora left her child with extended family at their behest until she could provide a more stable environment. With the future growing dimmer and the fear of the unknown starting to finally catch up, Deus seemed like the second chance she needed--even if it did mean leaving family behind.

The Weapon Name: Beatrix Nicknames: Bea, Padfoot (for a multitude of reasons), Bellatrix (for less reasons but no less valid) Type of Weapon: Warhammer Unsummoned Form: Carved fang earring Former species of weapon: Black Dog Gender: Female
Beatrix, despite being a ghost, is the life of the party in comparison to her partner. Hedonistic and eager, she often tries to convince her partner to enjoy herself more in every way possible (while enjoying the sight through her eyes). Her instincts tell her to fall in line with a new master, but it doesn't stop her from being playful or outrageous, if just to evoke a reaction. Bea is all about games and very little about consequences, since who can really tell what the future holds unless you try everything at least once?
Nora calls her barking mad. Beatrix thinks it's a compliment.
Weapon Abilities
Charges
(T2 Gambler's Chance)
Beatrix charges up with electricity before Nora throws it with (hopefully) good aim, though the return catch is always a little rough; only through this Fear charge would the hammer actually return. Alternatively, swinging hard in close combat still can be quite jarring when the weapon is channeling energy.
