It was Nora's turn to get through this hellhole. Unlike the other two, however, she was more than ready to get to the trials! Poor, relatively naive Nora. She was hoping to get a good night's sleep after all of this
She was probably still half asleep if she really thought that was going to happen anytime soon.

Eye found the pool of fear and she drank only to have her dreams turn to nightmares, her mind turned to the day her friends, family and clan were all but destroyed. Tears ran down her face as the imagine passed through her mind, she was so young for a horseman then. Even then her powers were only backup and so weak, she was no help at all, so weak. She knew even if she had been older she likely would have died to if she had not fled and hid. Still the guilt tore at her, she had lived while so many died.

Fear was not something Nora knew regularly. Worry, yes, anxiety if really under pressure, but rarely ever fear. She didn't feel it as she traipsed through the corridors whistling, hands ready to grasp her hammer if she ran across something. All she found was water, and she was thirsty.
There was suspicion of course, but it all felt pretty planned out; if it wanted to kill her, the tower or ponies or whatever wouldn't do it by water.
Nevertheless Nora did feel slightly more anxious than before. She wiped at her mouth and continued at a brisk walk.

And speaking of sleep . . . The next sip of water had her eyes drooping. Okay, maybe she ought to watch what she wished for . . . Nora slapped her cheeks lightly to keep herself awake.

(Picking the pool of youth)
Eye wandered about till she found another pool is her nightmare state, she drank from her and grew younger, which coupled with the pool of age, only made her a little younger than she normally was. Once she was done the door out opened Eye sighed and stumbled her way out of this madness, on to who knew what madness next.

Or she could run into it again and take another sip . . . Except now there were odd things prancing about in her vision, cackling and dismorphic and unsettling. She yawned and felt her skin prickle as she tried to shut them out and keep moving.

And then came the whispers.
Nora was normally a woman of strong will. Opinionated. Nosy. Overbearing. But not fearful.
And yet she was starting to get these inklings when she swore she heard something whisper in her ear when nothing was there. Beatrix's growls could only do so much to chase the thoughts away.

The nightmares intensified. Even the sound of her own footsteps were starting to put her on edge, and she cursed the tower for being so vindictive for no reason. It was a waking nightmare, and she had never felt so alone with these ghosts.
I'm here, Norrie, I promise, I promise, I promise--

More sleep did not do the trick. She was barely hanging on as it was, stumbling against the walls, almost falling over in her exhaustion. Nora's eyes kept fluttering, and more and more she wanted to just curl up and get knocked out cold; and yet her feet kept shuffling onward.

He moved this time, going to another pool. So far, there were no bodies. No piles of ash. He felt that the threat of death might not be in the pools but the threat of not drinking. He also wondered if maybe no bodies meant they were eaten or if they were in the water.
He reached down, taking a sip from this pool, and felt a chill up his spin. Rin's statement of something in the water started to get to him, and he stepped back. He moved to her, touching her shoulder. "We shouldn't stay near the water's edge too much. If this is a horsemen room, in their territory, you might be right. I don't want you taken by a tentacle."
He looked at his rough hand and frowned. "I hope...that this doesn't continue." If he continued to age without stopping, then he would be useless as a hunter. Age: 38 Pool of Age: 3 Pool of Fear: 1

And then, to top it all off, she nearly fell into the last pool. That would have been utterly embarassing, she was sure. Someone had to be watching this.
Her eyes barely open and the sounds of the dying in her ears, Nora almost didn't believe what she saw at first: namely, that it was her usual self, but younger. There wasn't much difference, but she looked very drunk. Or maybe that was all the sleep pool drinking. Maybe. Hrm.
She heard the click of a door and dragged herself through, groaning.

Chel found herself in a room that was FAR more her style. This one she liked, quite a bit. Gold, opulence- hell yeah. She could stay here for QUITE some time.
Pillars of gold, stood out the most, and like others who had visited the room before her, Chel read the text and set out for her task.
She stopped at the pool nearest to her, dipping her hand in and drinking from the water. She kind of dug this weird task. She felt a little more tired, a little more sore, but mostly the same. Good to know the water wasn't actually poison. That would've been a sad way to die. Death by drinking some water because a slab of rock told her to.

The water stilled and she found herself staring at an older, more mature version of herself. The startling fact was that her pink hair was gone, her blinding platinum blonde roots having blasted through the rest of her hair.
Chel blinked in confusion, trying to clear her eyes.
"What the hell-" She tried splashing the water, hoping it was just a strange reflection effect. When the water settled, she remained.
She immediately moved away from the pool she'd been at, dunking her head into another pool. Paranoia overcame her. Fear of the water. Terror.

Chel ran from the last pool, thrusting her hands into another out of fear. She had to wash this aging away. She had to get rid of it.
Instead, she found herself feeling drowsy, calm. It calmed down the paranoia, at least. The voices subdued- no, not brought to a complete hault, but at least slowed.

Again, she ran to another pool. A calm washed over her as she felt her limbs shrinking, her hair regaining its pink hue. But her breathing grew heavy, and a whimpered, "What? No?"
Her hair faded from pink to blue, her age being decreased now. Lucky for her, the doors screamed open and she ran to them. All in all, she'd rather be younger than older. Good enough.
