The hallway is large and empty. In the center are the statues, the three statues of the goddesses that watch over this domain. There are four other pedestals but they are empty.
As you approach the statues, the fog grows thicker until all you can see is yourself, and the statue. One of the goddesses approach you, but it is hard to tell which one. They sound broken/insecure/wistful. "You must complete in one task per given day." That much is very clear. "Each task will grant you a blessing and strengthen your heart. Only those with the strongest hearts will ascend to become goddesses."
The figure approaches you, no longer a statue but simply fog. They graze close to you and you feel something strange pressed against you. Fingers. A hand. Your Heart for a second flares, it burns and you shrink back, stunned for a second before you recollect yourself. You have been given a task. OOC DAILY TASKS AND YOU gaia_crown [ What is a Daily Task ] - Daily tasks are considered "rp mandatory" if your character would like to progress and eventually ascend to become a Goddess. Your character can compete in ONE task PER IC "day". An announcement will be put up when NEW daily tasks go up/ this thread will be updated. - You must go to the shrine HERE to get your daily task from the goddesses. - Each "day" have a new set of tasks to complete. What you get from the set will be randomized (see below). Some are a matter of luck or chance, but if you successfully complete that task, you will be given a Blessing. Record this in your heart log. Drop off successfully completed tasks back here. - At the end of the 4 days, the ones with the most blessings will be chosen as Goddesses of this world. - That means if you do or cannot complete your daily task, you will simply have less blessings, which will not detriment your gameplay for this overall meta at all! Most definitely if you have time to rp in your day, the daily tasks should be the first thing your character fulfills before doing all the side tasks. gaia_crown [ Pass or Fail ] - Some rolled tasks can be EXTREMELY hard to carry out. All you need to do is try for them. Certain daily tasks may have only a small probability of being completed: icly it means only the luckiest/bravest really get chosen. Oocly it's just a matter of luck, sometimes, so as long as you tried it's fine! If your character cannot ICly finish the task even though they have tried it is not an issue at all. - You can only try for a task ONCE. If you fail the first time you CANNOT try again. gaia_crown [ Task Locations ] - If a location is locked but you need to go there for your daily task, you may simply do so. Remember! To complete a task, you must successfully clear the conditions (YOU CAN ONLY TRY ONCE PER TASK) and come back to this thread to ICly drop it off/ claim to the statues of the goddesses your completion. That will ICly give your character the "blessing". You can then record this in your Heart Log.

"A shape." The goddess whispers it in your ear. "You need a shape, a form. You need to become more as you are. Go and find something that will give you shape and return to us for your blessing if successful." OOC Daily task: Day 0 CLOSES In 48 HOURS (SAT AUGUST 10th at 7:00 PM PST) Day 0 only has one task to complete, and it is the same for everyone! When you complete it and drop it off here you will receive the Blessing of the Great. With this Blessing, your body will feel more solid, complete. You regain a better idea of what you are. You understand better interactions with people, and the importance of building relationships. It reminds you of something, but you can't pinpoint exactly what. gaia_crown [ Task Day 0 requirement ] In the main hub of where your character was sorted, collect 5 fragments from the ground (read the dice roll mechanics on how to do so. Once you have finished so drop off ICly using the dropoff form your finished requirements and an RP to them claim the Blessing of the Great. You can claim it once you have dropped off a form with the proper requirements! gaia_crown [ Task 0 Locations ]- World's Edge (Blue/ Longing) - The ruins (Yellow/ Paranoia) - The Spire (Red/ Ruin)

Mikhail offers the warm orbs to the goddesses. He watches as the accept his gift and feels enlightenment flood into his body. There's more to him than this gray ghost-like form. He is more than a phantom. His body becomes more palpable and gains more definition. The words he heard feel like they are important, but he does not know why. Perhaps doing more of these quests will reveal this information.

The grey-thing returned to the shrine, the five red, glowing fragments in hand. With a wave of his hand, he offered them to the Goddess. Each of them blinked away as he felt his body crack and ache silently but to his own mind. Blinking his featureless eyes, he felt a strong warmth inside. Pressing against his red-glowing chest, he exhaled. A sensation that was so eerily comforting and he didn't understand why or what it was. He didn't like it. It had taken some hunting, but Arsenic arrived with her bounty, gesturing it to the Goddess with a short smile. They were accepted as her gift to the Goddess, and she felt a... warmth, spread through her. Like lightning. Arsenic was aware of feeling more... solid. More there. She swallowed a little, glancing down at herself. Though still grey, she had more of a shape.
More importantly, though... Her thoughts return to those still hunting in the dark for the orbs. Specifically one nameless, shapeless voice in the dark. The one who'd answer her. She'd have to find them again. Bowing her head, Arsenic left with a promise to return soon.
She had something important to do.

He wanted more.
Carefully, cautiously, he approached the goddess, his curiosity drawing him towards her. The warmth of the fragments notwithstanding, he felt an odd sort of solidarity as they left his fingertips, and a strange sense of being flitted across his mind. He glanced downwards, tilting his head a little, and smoothed a hand down the front of his chest, as though brushing away something nonexistant.

Cautiously, Klinail offered the five fragments to the goddess. A little pouty now that all their hard work was given to someone else. Though, when the goddess whispered into their ear, they shuddered in surprised and flinched ever so slightly away.
Their being solidified ever so slightly as they were blessed. Their shape was a little more define now, but they were still relatively blank like a canvas. Looking up at the goddess, they bowed their head slightly in farewell before leaving to wander the landscapes until they were called on again.

He felt something like resentment as he demonstrated to the shrine that he had succeeded, and then another surge of it as he felt the shape he was in grow more concrete. He was suddenly very aware of his arms, and not sure why. There was a sudden comparativeness that was impossible to escape: an instinctive mental placement of himself in varying scales, next to other people, in front of or behind them or greater than or smaller than. There was suddenly a sharp delineation between himself and the rest of the world. The hunger to understand, despite his best efforts to stifle it, grew. Ixb seemed to be pleased as punch to drop off his treasure. As his tribute was paid (and with a jaunty presentation) he felt more definition to himself. Vassou entered the shrine with the fragments in hand. He felt a bit more of use and completed after the godess had whispered into his ear. He shuttered, but enjoyed it deeply. He was no longer just a being, he was forming into something greater.

"I am here." He said, the five fragments held closely to his chest and the faint hum made him feel...solid. "More than I was before."
He didn't want to let go of the fragments. He had worked so hard and. And they felt like a part of him. He didn't want to let go. He didn't want to lose them. But he did. He held them out to the statue and let go. Something settled in his heart, but he was not quite sure what it was. Lliote, he thought, my name is Lliote..

Staring at the shards in her hands for a moment, she admired the soft light within them before holding them out for the goddess to take. As the shards disappeared one by one, she felt her form change bit by bit. Peering at herself once the last shard was gone, she seemed to have become just a bit more defined. He did not want to party with the sparkly crystals.
No he did not.
But the goddess wants them.
So he gave them to her...as much as he tried not to show his reluctance.
Maybe he can mope to his silent-buddy about this turn of events. Decyl has a feeling she's probably doing the same thing he was at the very moment. His moping has completely override his notice of his being becoming slightly more refined in shape and feature. The yellow core in his chest continues to glow warmly.

This place again. That made sense. Did their world exist around this place? Was there anything beyond what the goddesses gave here? While Decyl had a difficult time parting with the crystals, Hekhis found herself less attached to them, instead parting with them more willingly.
Still, she couldn't help but stare at her hands as she parted with them, flexing her fingers and admiring how slender they seemed to be. She even felt a little less clunky than she had before, giving herself a careful look before looking to her silent-buddy to see how the developments had effected him (outside of making him part with the shinies they had worked so hard to collect....).
