More and more clusters of crystals were all around. And he didn't have enough. With a little more reservation, Rochiej managed to grab another one. Just as the previous two times, something came whispering to him from the fragment.
"..Riley? But.. how? You're... alive? I thought--"
A name was in that. His head cocked to the right a little. It didn't really ring any bells, but that was interesting to say in the least.

Did she need these things? Would she die without them? If they were needed for survival she was going to have a really bad time. She wasn't tall enough for some of them, and others seemed to be really bad for her depth (or lack of) perception.
Okay. Just keep standing up and try again. The other guy had gotten quite a few of them, she could get them too.

Zauus sat down to take a rest, many fragments resided in the abandoned area, but many were out of her reach. She sat on a rock and looked around at the many fragments that taunted her with their glow.

As he emerged in this new place, the first thing he felt was stinging pain. The physical sensation was easy enough to ignore, but the why of it stuck in his mind like... he didn't know. Something sticky. Why was it that he could remember stickiness but not the substances that might cause it?
Stew peered up into the darkened sky, letting several of the acidic drops hit his colorless face. At least he knew the pain's source now. He took shelter underneath a tattered awning, watching other shapes solidify in the distance and move further into the crumbling city. All of them had golden light shining at their cores, some brighter than others. He might have stayed there forever, watching the bobbing lights in the fog, but it wasn't long before the questions tugged at his mind again and he was off, silently gliding toward the ruins and out of the rain.
He had almost reached the shelter of another cluster of buildings when he saw the fragment. It floated past the edges of his murky vision like a scarefly. What? Stew tried to chase the strange thought, but it was gone again as quickly as it had arrived, and with it, the fragment.
He moved on.

One within reach. She stalked up to it slowly, reaching out to grab it with both hands slowly. It was like catching a...catching ...catching a......what? What was there like this at all to catch?
She squeezed her dark hands around it, brows furrowing together as she considered it.
Maybe we should try the Scarefari.
Hekhis tilted her head to one side. Then the other. Then the other again. What was the Scarefari? She'd never heard of it before, but it did sound interesting to her. Was it something she'd find out about later? Were these giving her a glimpse into something else?

He gave his crystals another look before poking the other figure ever so slightly to draw her attention. Decyl made a waving notion and pointed in the direction he was headed before nodding his head in farewell.
"It was nice to meet someone." he thought as he went on his way.

He wondered where he was.
It was rather fascinating, if he thought about it (which he definitely was), but it was also rather intimidating. He stared out at their surroundings, his eyes flickering briefly to those around him, to the grey and the golden yellow he could feel pulsing beneath.
He felt warmth nearby, and moved towards it instinctively, searching.

He was leaving her. Hekhis began to follow after the other dark figure, picking up her step (to the best of her clumsy ability) to follow after. She paused only once to pick up another small red crystal before picking up the pace to follow her silence-buddy, bumping her shoulder into his as if to silently say 'Can I come too?'
It helped that she at least mouthed it.

No one answered his call, but he could see figures drifting after the flickering lights. He gave a swing at one as well, instinctively following the crowd.
Suddenly he wondered WHY. What were these things? Would they hurt him? Where did they come from? What- Well, it zipped from his grasp.
"Anyone?" He was getting worried again. "Why are you all um. What are those things?" Maybe he should clarify the worry before worrying further? Maybe.

He was surprised by his shadowy acquaintance's following. Definitely surprised, but it was most welcomed. Decyl smiled at her (or as best as he could), before leading them away to who knows where. Maybe they can do something with these crystals.

Tiekash felt, more than saw, himself move to the new world. Ruins, the Goddess called it. All around, he could feel the yello orbs of other forms. They pressed on him in different ways.
It occured to him then that, there being other beings near, they might have more of an idea of what was happening.

She stood up just a bit straighter as she trailed along with him, holding the crystals tightly in her hands (because dropping them after how hard it had been to gather them all wouldn't end well). Did he know what to do with them? Did she know what to do with them?
Either way, she had to hope that it was worth their time to gather all of these. Maybe they'd find out!
