Even as a shadow, one could hear her pouting somehow as she stared at the fragments floating above her. Unlike her first attempt, Lectoa chose not to brashly reach out for one. She observed one of them for a few moments, her head moving slightly before she jumped and grabbed onto it with both hands. “Ah!” She cocked her head curiously when something came out of the orb. MegMeg! TisiTisi! Look…! They sounded like nicknames, but she failed to recall the faces of the owners. She vaguely wondered who the two were before humming and moving on.

Lliote stepped through the mist and into the main hall of the spire. Around him were shadows, beings he recognized as beings like him. A small pulsing crystal was floating near him. He didn't know why, but he reached out and tried to grab it. It flew out of his reach and he felt... annoyed.

She had expected this one to evade her like the previous one, yet this one seemed to glide right to her instead.

The grey-thing turned to the other one who had spoke to it.
"I heard nothing."
He said plainly, looking at the fragments he held. He clearly heard something, but he was not going to let anyone know of it. Besides, they wouldn't know what to make of gibberish anyway. If he didn't feel like he had to keep them, he wouldn't be holding onto them.

She tried to grab onto another orb, but Lectoa was beginning to realize how agile these things really were. She let out another annoyed huff. Lectoa didn’t even know why she wanted to grab onto them. They never said she had to do the task, but she supposed there wasn’t much else she could do, so why not? It would help keep her attention and drive away the boredom. Grumbling, she tried to bat away one of the orbs, but as usual it flitted out of reach.

He trailed after the fragment and finally caught one in his hand. The pale orb pulsed in his hand, and Lliote held it firmly. Something echoed in his head, words of some sort, but another fragment on the outskirts of his sight caught his attention before he could pay them any mind.

Lliote jumped and swiped at the air, and was quite surprised when he realized he had caught another fragment in his hands. This one too seemed to whisper something to him, but the swirling of the mists and the hum of fragments and the pulse of red crystals drowned out whatever he might have heard.
