He let his hand fall back to his side, confused by his own gesture. Everyone seemed absorbed in the task of fetching the small lights, and so he turned, following one a ways away from the other figure.

"Yes, but what do they mean and where do they come from. Tis' quite disconcertin'." Wyng responded, not knowing why she sounded different than the other being while grabbing at yet another fragment.

"Sometimes it is easier to accept a gift when it is given. Too many questions can convoluted it, I suppose." She murmured in response, allowing a soft smile to show on her face. It was the second question that had the grey woman raising her eyebrows a little, looking at the little fragile pieces in her hands.
"I have not had issues as of yet." She answered truthfully, holding out the two pieces in her hands. "They just seem to be rather dormant to me." She admitted, before going up to capture another red shard, feeling the flush of a memory returned, a deeper voice, a cut off statement that reminded her of some kind of affection. A comfort.
Softly frowning, she held that shard, wondering what that meant, before placing it with the other two. "Possibly they are part of the infinite that we have forgotten, or assumingly forgot."

Forgiveness? Ah, but the fellow needn't even ask for it. A delicate, awkward smile slowly made it's way along the boys features as he nodded a bit and continued to watch the other figure. Kia was almost tempted to try and brush the tall figure before him, almost curious if he'd still be solid.
They seemed almost as wispy. But no, he had definitely been there, almost reassuring in his presence. A cautious movement toward the other figure before he halted again as the man had looked away, interested in something else. Ah, right... he was babbling about those fragments as he reached for another. "Is fine." He stated it simply, not the least troubled with being knocked to the floor as his own gaze fell elsewhere, to a fragment that was threatening to slip by.
Perhaps...
Though even as he reached toward it the thing slipped further away from him, out of his reach unless he chose to scramble along the ground. Which he wasn't too eager to. He might drop what he'd found so far, and... they were precious. Precious bits of something... something he... well he wasn't sure. He just wanted to keep them.

Though it was not her fault, Lliote could not help but blame the horned shadow. If only he hadn't stopped to wave to her, if only he hadn't noticed her, if only... Then maybe this fragment would be in his hands. But no, he was still chasing it around the Spire.

The fragment stopped. It just... stopped moving. Lliote was confused but he was not going to pass this up. He ran towards it with as much speed as he could muster, and he was so close, so close that his finger could brush the edge of the fragment, before he started to plummet.
Damn this fragment. Damn it to the seven hells and back.

There were already a myriad of other figures inside the Spire when she arrived. She eyed each one carefully as they passed her. They appeared to be grabbing the glowing orbs that bobbed through the air. Skaaal looked up at one and watched it whiz by her before she looked away. While she was aware of the task bestowed upon her, she felt that a minor exploration of her surroundings would be helpful. She took in the site of the three shattered towers splayed against the grey sky, but the red moon clearly stood out from everything else. The moon was a pretty sight to take in, but she knew that now was not the time to watch something not very important. She kept walking, looking.
She looked down at the cracks running through the earth. Briefly, she wondered why the cracks had appeared in the first place before she kept wandering the hallways. The area was rather large, and she guessed that walking around the entire place would take quite a while. Perhaps it would be a better idea to try grabbing one of the orbs. Just to test it out. Cautiously, Skaaal reached for one of them.
Her eyes widened when it quickly darted out of the way. How fast.

He pushed himself off the floor that he had fallen to, and noticed the fragment hoovering right above his nose. Quickly, Lliote clasped his hands together and caught it. The gentle pulse of light filled him with warmth, but the fragment made more words.
Elliot, I'm sorry.
He didn't stop to ponder who Elliot might be. He was done. He felt...more whole. It was an odd feeling. He hadn't felt not-whole before, but now he realized he must have been.

Now that she had a better idea of how the fragments acted like, Skaaal approached them more carefully. She narrowed her eyes as she picked out a random fragment. She stepped forward slowly, following it as it lazily floated throughout the air. Her lips parted slightly just before she lunged forward to try and grab for it. Fortunately, her fingers firmly wrapped around the fragment. At first she grinned, but then Skaaal frowned as she experienced what she wondered was a memory. Nevada…I can’t believe…! She didn’t know who Nevada was. She briefly mused over her relationship with this person before shrugging it off and searched for another fragment she could try to swipe up.

Andie moved over to the next fragment in his sight, absentmindedly noting that others had done the same to other fragments. He reached for another fragment, anxious to learn if the same thing as before would happen.
Once again when he grasped it he heard something, though this time it wasn't a name but a seemingly random sentence. 'You look good in the uniform.' He frowned as it made just as much sense as the name then pocketed the fragment. Maybe the next one would let him understand?

As he'd been distracted it seemed though, that the other fellow had gone. Where? He wasn't sure. But he didn't even get a chance to say a proper farewell. It was a bit sad, leaving an emptiness behind, but he couldn't dwell on it.
Perhaps, perhaps it was best to fill it with something else. He slowly stood again, still clutching his two shards close to him as he went before spotting his next target. A fragment swaying back and forth as if taunting him as he moved to it. And then it stopped, just briefly. Long enough for him to catch it in his hand and let out something akin to a whimper at the next memory, this one again unpleasant. "GET AWAY! MONSTER!"
Was he a monster? Were these about him? What... what had the one this was directed at done? He couldn't know... just that they all seemed random. Disjointed. How could he be a good dog and a monster?

As prepared as she was for the orbs’ agility, Skaaal still couldn’t quite get the hang of their speed. She huffed when she tried to snatch one, only to have it escape between her fingers and waltz away into the air. Then she clicked her tongue before setting her sights on a different piece that also happened to be nearby.

He felt oddly ill at ease.
The warmth emanating from his chest did little to ease this odd sensation, but he swept forward with an imperious sort of pride anyway, determined not to let those around him see him so disconcerted. He had little idea of why this even was, little idea of anything at all, however, and as he kept moving, he felt himself relaxing a little.
And the moon was so very bright...he tilted his head, surveyed it curiously, and then felt something warm against his ankle, as though something had just brushed by.
