For a while, Arcanis simply walked, trying not to watch the glimmers of light. Perhaps by lulling them into a false sense of security, she could claim another for her own. Perhaps...
The instinct to chase was too strong, though. Arsenic growled softly as she chased after a glimmer atop a nearby platform, to no avail. It was gone before she'd even climbed up onto it. She looked around from her new point of view, and fought quite hard against the instinct to sit and scowl at the world.
Without proper facial structure, that wouldn't do much anyway.

A second attempt to jump on the orb proved fruitful. He now had two treasures in his possession.
Shame.
Another word passed through his mind. It left as quickly as it appeared.
I wonder if there are others here, he thought, glancing around for more orbs and perhaps the unfamiliar feeling of another aura.
It seemed as though sitting down had ruined what streak she had going. For shame on her anyways, relaxing when there were things to be done.
Raedala pushed herself up and likely would have dusted herself off had she been more corporeal... Or more concerned with something other than the shard blinking and shimmering right on the edge of her vision. Her lips formed a soft 'o' and she reached to snag it, missing completely.

It took Shasa a moment to realize that something was wrong - had she dropped a fragment? Had she misplaced one? An odd wail rose from her as she moved along jerkily, that feeling of frustration shrouding her rationality for a split second - and then it was gone.

She would find what she was looking for.

Failure. He didn't appreciate the darting pattern of this particular orb. It mocked him, bouncing gleefully as he failed again. He was frustrated and sat on the ground, just watching.

One word came to mind as Rika gazed at her surroundings: Broken. Everything here looked as if it would fall apart at the slightest touch. Treading carefully, she spotted something shining. Without really thinking about it, she reached out to the glowing object.
Plucking the object from the air, an echo filled her ears. She was so surprised that she was unable to make out what it had said. Waiting for a moment to see if the word would repeat itself, she was only met with silence. She looked around for another shard, hoping that maybe she could trigger the same reaction if she got hold of another piece.

Lyzzi wanted to know more - to hear more. It wasn't enough to hear these little fragments. It wasn't enough to put them all together. If each fragment was a little puzzle piece, then the only way to get the big picture is to catch more of these little puzzle pieces, right?

She seethed, and looked around, trying to determine where the best place to catch them would be. She'd had luck before. Maybe backtracking would prove fruitful.

The previous fragment has floated out of reach, and Lyzzi couldn't help but feel exasperated as she lunged, desperate not to lose it again. This time, it's again a different voice saying different things.
There still weren't enough puzzle pieces to complete the puzzle.

Perhaps this trickster of an orb took pity on him, or more likely it had dropped its guard. Lhaimik took the opportunity to get his revenge and snagged the orb.
Irvin.
A name? Insignificant. He brushed it aside and continued hunting for his orbs.
Shifting lightly on ethereal feet, Shasa continued on her search. She was not sure if there was a method to her madness or if she merely trusted her Heart too much - or perhaps not enough, as she failed to find another glimmering fragment.
A cruel trick. She needed that fragment.
Mustn't give up.
