As if aliens weren’t trouble enough, the spooky season has rolled into Destiny City, too! This year will be run much differently than previous years to accommodate the meta and make it a less stressful experience. There is only one prize that can be won, and it can be earned by completing Halloween prompts or participating in the meta. Roleplay opportunities and prize claim will be open from now until 11:59 PST on October 31st. Halloween Prompts can be found here and information on Prize and Prize Claim can be found here!

Halloween RP PromptsThese Halloween Prompts are completely optional; there are other ways to earn the Halloween Prize for this year! PromptsAll prompt responses must be posted in the Mini-Event subforum and can be written as a solo, a regular, or a battle (if applicable!). These should be labelled [Event-S], [Event-R], or [Event-B]. If you roleplay a disposable, these will not count towards any growth requirements for them, but if you are roleplaying with someone who has a disposable, it can still count for growth for your official character. More information on disposables can be found in the next post! To be eligible for any prizes, you must write at least five hundred words per prompt. You should include the prompt you are using in the first post of the RP or Solo. The roleplay does not have to be finished to count towards a prize (unless otherwise stated) but it will need to be finished before it can be used for growth requirements. While these events are written so that you only need a civilian to participate, you can play a powered character! Please remember--prompts are meant to be inspirations for your roleplays. You do not have to follow them completely, but the roleplay or solo should be obviously inspired by or related to the prompt you are using. Current Prompts:Quote: Art Alive (1): Destiny City tries to keep a clean, upstanding city, but sometimes you just can’t beat the taggers. Graffiti art has been popping up around the city but it seems like it’s always moving from place to the next. Literally. The art is up one day and gone the next--on a completely different wall. Some people think it’s an elaborate prank--except, sometimes, in the dark of the night, you can see the art stretching from one wall to the next. Or, maybe it’s just your eyes playing tricks on you. No one would believe you if you said you saw artwork moving, anyway. Quote: Alien Abductions (2) : Destiny City’s had an overwhelming amount of reports of strange lights in the sky. No one can get anything verifiable on camera, and the few videos that have been circulating seem like they could have easily been doctored. There’s been a strange uptick in reports of alien abductions, but the City can’t seem to verify anything, and at this point in time it seems like it’s just people looking for attention. However, there’s a temporary ban on civilian-owned drones until this whole thing clears up. Quote: Wake up, Sheeple (3): A viral video: a security camera aimed at a door in a back alleyway. A dark-clothed figure looks like they are trying to break in. It’s almost comical in how desperately they are yanking on the door, and then, in a fit of rage, they take a step back and their hood falls off. The face is obscure and impossible to make out, and suddenly it looks like a lizard person. They attack the door once more and then scramble off with an over-exaggerated run. Is this it, real proof of an actual lizard person?? Is it a youma? The internet says it’s a hoax, and it’s hard to take it seriously anyway, even if there is something strange about it. It’s become something of a local joke; people have made memes about it and are dressing up as lizards and posing in similar alleys. And yet, there have been a string of attempted break-ins, with strange claw marks around the door handles. Quote: Fall Fatigue (4): As the year winds down, a nasty ‘bug’ is being reported. In this new fall chill, people are reporting feeling particularly drained and fatigued. Scientists are puzzled because up to 25% of the city has reported experiencing this unnatural fatigue--and, more than that, the strange, foggy memory loss that accompanies it. It’s probably just a product of the season that people report seeing strange colored people and weird costumes before passing out. Most people make it back home and crash for twelve or more hours, so this isn’t a health crisis--just an inconvenience. Destiny City asks that you eat a balanced meal, get a lot of rest, and take care of yourself. Quote: One Foggy Night (5): As the seasons shift, the temperature changes too. It’s not uncommon for fog to roll in, sometimes from the mountains, sometimes out of nowhere. This fog is particularly thick and difficult to see through; Destiny City has issued several weather warnings and cautions being out or driving at night. It’s easy to get lost and difficult to see obstacles. Not to mention the strange, smothering sensation of dread and fear that rolls in with the fog. While there is sometimes the sensation of being watched, it worsens when the sun goes down. Some have even said they’ve caught glimpses of a tall, horned figure traveling with the fog. The news has reported that this is probably just a side effect of climate change and suspects that weather patterns should return to normal towards the end of the month.

PrizesThis year, by completing five special roleplays, all participants can claim one Halloween 2021 Treat Bag! This Treat Bag contains 1 Crown Token, 1 one time use IC RP Item (including Limited Event Items that were not given out to top-rollers or top-winners in special events), 1 Henshin Pen (remember, these can replace one Battle growth requirement or one Regular growth Requirement or three Solo growth requirements), and 1 Permanent Accessory or Enhancement. This prize can only be claimed once! Special roleplays include the new Halloween prompts and any meta-related roleplay that has been started as of September 13th. Each roleplay needs 500 words to be considered completed, but the roleplay itself doesn’t need to be finished.
