Zev was excited to meet up with Hope for a date night, even as the nights grew chillier now. He liked them that way; adored the spooky, colder season and embraced all of it with the same (if not more) enthusiasm that he'd done so when he was younger. Halloween approached, and with it, the cold, Jack Skellington, Hocus Pocus watches, the forbidden skeleton wars, and, of course, the costumes. (Not that the actual occult stuff he was into didn't make it onto the list; it was nice to get the chance to espouse his knowledge and not come off as super weird during this time, but the lighter side of the season was more fun). Speaking of the spooky season... He admired a piece of wall art, eyes raking over the lines and colors, pleased with the technique by the unknown artist. This was definitely done by someone new on the scene. And they did some beautiful work. Spooky skeletons and pumpkins and ghosts. Beautiful. At least he had something to occupy his mind while he waited for his girlfriend to show up. (Some days he still couldn't believe that she was his, and he was hers).

Fall was, in Hope’s opinion, an ideal and delightful season. Not least because she had plenty of lovely, fluffy fits that looked particularly good this time of year. Every Lolita brand worth their salt had some kind of charming fall dress, and date night was an especially good reason to get dolled up.
Her hair was done in the same buns that she sported as Sailor Asmodeus, and her outfit was all browns and oranges, with a lovely dress patterned with black cats and ghosts around the hem of the skirt, a brown cardigan, leggings with ghost designs, and a very cute pair of brown Mary Janes to finish the look. It was warm, but not so warm as to be uncomfortable in the early October air.
When she arrived to meet Zev, it was with a smile, and she took a moment to admire the view. The art and, of course, her tall, beefy, beautiful boyfriend, a gift that she only had because she’d chosen to leave the Dark Mirror.
“Hey there, handsome,” she said, playfully, “come here often?”

Zev looked up the moment he heard her feet thumping softly against the concrete, giving her a soft smile and pushing off the wall to stride over. "Often enough," he said evasively, grinning wider and pulling her into a big bear hug. "It's so good to see you. You look like October personified. Very cute. I love it." Too bad she wasn't wearing any pumpkin spice perfume. It would've totally completed the whole vibe she was giving off. He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead with a contented sigh. "So, what's the plan for the evenin', gorgeous?"

Hope laughed as Zev swept her up, rolling up on her toes to kiss his cheek. All of this felt so nice--she considered herself lucky to have someone like him in her life.
"I'm glad you think so. I've got a couple other good dresses, and I might just pick up one or two more this year." She leaned aorund him, briefly, to look at the wall art--and then linked, and frowned.
"Hey, Zev?" She gently pinched his arm, but just to get his attention. "Wasn't....that skeleton graffiti on the wall right behind you?"

It was a good thing, really, that Hope had pinched him to get his attention, because he was too busy smiling at her like an utter dope in love and wondering what other beautiful dresses she'd gotten to get into the season. He frowned a bit as his attention shifted to the.... the blank wall. "What?" he said aloud, going back over to the wall, and then glancing at the other one just in case he'd gotten his left and right mixed up. "It... it was," he said, feeling a bit disoriented, "You saw it, too, so unless we're both crazy..." Cautiously (as if the painting had simply come to life like some Bugs Bunny/Road Runner leaping into paintings s**t, just... the paintings jumping into reality instead?), he moved forward and peeked around the corners, making a small noise of surprise. "There's no way it was out on this wall the whole time," he said, glancing back at Hope, then quickly jerking his neck so hard it hurt to keep an eye on the mural, "I am certain I was staring at it while literally in the alley, not in a position to see it out here."

Hope frowned, eyes fixed on where she'd sworn the graffiti was. She palmed her henshin pen, considering powering up into Sailor Asmodeus--but throwing fireballs was probably a little much, right now, so she hesitated, even if the pen was still tight in her grip.
"I don't like it," she said, firmly. "It might be--must be--magic," she said. But there was no way to know if it was dangerous or just weird, and that was the absolute worst part.
She followed Zev around the corner, and hissed, leaning bakc into the alley. "No, you're right. It was there, and now it's here, which means it ******** moved." She tucked her pen back into her purse, for the moment, and moved to very gently touch the wall with a gloved hand. Nothing happened, and it felt like...well, like paint on a wall, as best as she could tell.
"Doesn't seem to have any give or anything, and not a projection either...."

"Some kind of magic," he said grimly, watching her grab for her pen and then put it back. No firepower, then. Literally and figuratively. "I just hope this doesn't turn into some Looney Tunes s**t," he huffed, "The last thing we need is these things peeling off the wall and becoming real." He was loathe to attempt to ruin a piece of art, but he picked up a rock, a little piece of gravel, and scraped at a small part of the painting, assuming the paint would flake off and reveal the brick underneath.

Hope narrowed her eyes at the paint, and hissed quietly when it refused to flake, even as Zev took a rock to it.
"Ugh," Hope said, and then she held out her pen. "Asmodeus Asteroid Power, Make Up," she declared, and in a whirl of hellfire, she became her Senshi self.
"Take a couple steps back, love," she said, and she lined herself up for a shot at the wall. "I don't like this, and I'm not going to screw around with something that might be dangerous." But she held back on unleashing her magic--she wanted to make sure that Zev was clear before any fireballs got slung.

Zev growled under his breath in much the same way Hope hissed, then stepped back as she asked him to when she powered up. He knew he didn't want to be anywhere near her firepower. Well... no, those were thoughts for another time, when he wasn't all jumbled up by the strange magic interrupting what was supposed to be a nice date with his girlfriend. "I'm good," he said from several feet behind her. "You go, sweetheart."

Asmodeus focused on the moving graffiti, and brought up one arm to point at it. She drew the figers of the other down the inside of her forearm like striking a match, and a burst of fire leaped forward, slamming into the wall and exploding.
Scorch marks were left behind, and the paint distinctly looked marred, but there was no other reaction from the wall.
"Oh, hell," Asmodeus huffed. "I guess it wouldn't be that easy to destroy it. But it's not really...reacting, any more? And it hasn't moved to attack us, so..."
She didn't like the idea of powering down and leaving, but....
"Why don't we just have our date and forget about this? It's Destiny City. Weird s**t happens sometimes."Quote: Sailor Asmodeus speaks the name of her attack and extends one arm towards a target within six feet, touching the fingers of the other to the inside of her elbow. She sweeps her hand forward, and a burst of flames flies from her hand. It explodes into a fireball with a radius of 6 feet, and enemies caught in it will experience the pain of first-degree burns for 30 seconds, with actual damage to exposed skin possible at player discretion. Asmodeus can use this spell three times per battle.

Zev scowled at it, then shook his head and sighed. "Yeah. Let's just go have a good date," he said, giving her a small smile. "Sounds better than standing here forever." He took her hand. They would just forget about this and go have a wonderful date. It'd been too long.
