A large crowd of gnomes had gathered around the outside of Amityville, craning their necks up to squint and stare at something they could barely see on the roof of the building. Already elbows were jostling into sides as bets were passed along each other in the form of sticks of unchewed bubblegum, a rare commodity considering that most of the gum a gnome sees was already chewed and plastered to the underside of a desk.

"I think it's moving!" One of them whispered, pointing. The gnomes ceased their whispers and looked up, staring as the Acceptance Bin moved closer to the edge of the roof.

The Acceptance Bin seemed to pause as it studied the crowd below. It hesitated a moment before it took a mighty leap, the loose ends of its robes several sizes too many flapping behind it gracelessly.

And then it plummeted.

The gnomes gathered around the pit, staring down at the fallen Acceptance Bin. One of them reached down and picked something up, squinting at what it found. "Oi," the gnome began, "Do ya reckon' it should've fastened these fishing wires to somethin' before it tried to jump?"

Personality:

Mei has a vivacious, effusive and highly expressive personality, quick to show affection for her loved ones, just as quick to anger. She is undyingly loyal to her closest friends, sometimes ending up as a door mat to those who have a more dominant personality. But even still, if one's person or character comes under attack she is quick to take up arms, whether physical or verbal, against the person who hurt her friend. Though she doesn't lack in the charisma department. She could charm the pants off a hobo if she really put some thought into it. Mei can be as sweet and endearing as she can be cunning and devious. But her devious side is never to the extreme in which someone would end up hurt in the end.

With a natural pension for agility and swiftness, Mei spends a lot of her down time working on gymnastics to keep herself in tip top condition. Whether its in an actual gym or just using her surroundings. She always finds a way to work it into her current events. Balancing books on her head as she walks or tip toeing along elevated structures are just a few examples. And she always loves a challenge that puts her agility to the test. Especially when its a challenge concocted by others and is extremely elaborate. She meets every challenge with great excitement and determination to pull it off.

Dancing is another of her loves. Mainly ballet, but she's been known to do other styles as well. Though not as often. There's just something about wearing a tutu and gliding across a stage gracefully that fills her with great joy. And if she can get others that she knows to see her perform it makes her all the more giddy.

Mei thrives of praise and the approval of others, so she always strives to be her best, especially when showing off her talents. If she thinks she's done her best yet doesn't get the praise she thinks she deserves Mei tends to wear it on her sleeve for a while. But eventually she will shrug it off and grow more determined to do even better the next time. And she will not let anything get in her way of shining like a star.


Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Mei enrolled into the Academy to learn more about her world and the human world. Since she came into the world she still knows very little, with no memories of her past living life or any serious knowledge of her current place in this world, its left her a little behind of everyone else. She not only wishes to hone her physical skills but her mental skills as well and apply them to real life situations, so that in the future what she gains here will help her succeed. Doing such would give her a great feeling of accomplishment and pride

• Maneuverability: Jiang Shi are very swift and graceful. They can jump and "glide" to and from uncanny heights, almost as if they were flying.

If healing others a green mist will emanate from her mouth and surround the one who she is healing, they will absorb it externally.

• Intermediate First Aid:
Battle Effect: Once per battle, a player may choose to roll a 8-sided dice. This is the amount that the player heals themselves or another target for. You forfeit your normal battle attack turn if you want to use this attack.
Non-battle Effect: A character can heal medium to small wounds or cuts of other players or themselves, and know how to do basic stitching

• Beginner Speed Boost:
Battle Effect: Once per battle, a player may choose to roll a 4-sided dice. Their accuracy is raised +1 for the next rolled amount of turns. For example, if I state this used effect and roll a 4, for the next 4 turns, my damage calculated is now -5 instead of -6. You forfeit your normal battle attack turn if you want to use this attack.
Non-battle Effect: A character can obtain a small speed boost/ speed surge to seemingly "teleport" a foot, but it can only be used once without them getting super tired.

• Scavanger:
Battle Effect: To use this ability, you must take one battle turn to roll 1d4 (and ICly look for something nearby that can help you in your fight). The result of this role determines what happens on your next turn. You can only do this ONCE per battle, and cannot use it in GM/meta boss fights.

Roll a 1: You don't find anything, and your scrambled search throws you off - on your next turn, roll the melee dice for the year below you. (If you are Y1, roll 2d4; Y2, roll 2d6, Y3, roll 2d8.)
Roll a 2: You don't find anything that looks better than YOUR OWN FISTS. On your next turn, attack as normal with your usual dice. (No special effect.)
Roll a 3-4: You find something! (Item must be logical for the environment you are in, i.e. no finding a torch if you're underwater.) On your next turn, add the value of your YEAR to your roll! [Meaning Y1 = +1, Y2 = +2, etc.!

• Beginner Summoned Object:
Battle Effect: Once per battle, you may choose to use your Crafts skill to summon a small craft-and-paper created guardian. Roll a six-sided dice. If odd, the guardian will defend you for two damage for the next three turns. If even, it does nothing. You forfeit your normal battle attack turn if you want to use this attack.
Non-battle Effect: You can create and summon a small craft-and-paper created guardian from any piece of paper/napkin/ etc. It doesn't do much but float around, and it's a little less entertaining than a minipet...

• Beginner Trashbot Summon:
Battle Effect: A character can summon their pocket-sized Trashbot to aid them in battle, the Trahsbot acting like a small clockwork explosive. Roll a 4-sided dice. This is the damage you do the opponent. You forfeit your normal battle attack turn if you want to use this attack.
Non-battle Effect: A character can icly create a pocket-sized Trashbot to help them pick up things/ clean their room/ do very minor Trashbot-like things. They can only create one at a time.

Goop - Goop tends to be a fairly lazy Feslime. Lazing about the room wherever he can squish himself onto or into. So don't be surprised if you open a drawer or cabinet and find him in there!


Minsks - Found out in the swamps near the Monster dorms by Mei. Minsks tends to be a little wild and slightly feral. But once she gets to know you she'll never leave you alone. Ever.

Solo "School Arrival"

It was a fairly dark and deary day when Meixiang arrived at Amityville High. A little rain here, a few lightening bolts that lit up the sky there.

But in reality the young Jiang Shi didn't even mind. She loved it when it rained. Especially when it was a harsh and fierce rain storm. Something about the drumming sound of falling water beating against the roof above you was soothing. The sight of lightening streaking across the sky like bright, illuminated trees was beautiful.

With her rain slicker, boots and umbrella Mei hopped her way from puddle to puddle along the path. Stopping to stare curiously up at the front of the school. It seemed to large and intimidating at first but given a moment to take it all in Mei smiled and all of those feelings seemed to melt away. Like dirt off the side of a house during a rain storm.

"Well Goop, it seems we've arrived at last. Our new school. Wonder what kind of adventure we'll have here. OH I HOPE THEY HAVE A DANCE CLASS!" Mei clapped her hands together in excitement.

The Feslime, known as Goop, simply bubbled out an indescribable sound from within the hood of Meixiang's jacket where he had wrapped his gooey self around her neck and shoulders. Whether or not it was a sound of happiness or displeasure what up to one's own determination. "Now Goop don't be such a sour puss. I'm sure there are lots of other pets here for you to make friends with too. Maybe you'll even find a little girlfriend for yourself. Wouldn't that be nice?' Goop merely bubbled again, curling up tighter around Mei's neck to keep from getting wet. Even though he was quite sticky himself, being water logged tended to make him extra sticky which was fairly unpleasant. Not that it bothered her, she didn't breath anyhow.

She tapped him on the head, or what seemed like his head at the time, with a sigh. Shaking her own head in response. Mei could never understand why Goop was so gloomy all the time, he didn't really have much to be gloomy about. But either way she loved him and was glad for his companionship to the school. She would probably go crazy after a few days if he hadn't come along to keep her company in her dorm. Not that she thought she wouldn't make any friends, but some days she would figure having just the Feslime around to relax with in her room would be nice. Give her a breather from all the social and academic aspects of high school life. Plus he just needed to get out and make some friends of his own anyway. Maybe that would lighten his mood a bit.

With a small shrug Meixiang continued up the path, passing through the front doors of the school. She closed her umbrella, giving it a small shake to rid it of any excess water. Wouldn't be good if it left a bunch of puddles in the hallway for someone to slip and fall on. Well, maybe if the person was a jerk then it would be ok.

Her eyes went wide as she took in the interior of the school. It was everything she had been told and imagined it would be. Groups of students, many inter-factional, passed by her in the halls as she wandered through. A few gave her a weary or indignant look, but she didn't pay them much mind. She was new and would have to work out her own little niche here. Hopefully there would be those who were more open and accepting. Mei knew that some factions, even some races, were severely prejudice towards others. But she wouldn't let that get her down. It was just another challenge to her and perhaps in the end should could help alleviate the prejudices that some students had. At least against her own race and faction anyhow, she didn't like that some would judge her based solely on that. The Jiang Shi would rather they get to know her first before making up their minds about her right off the bat. But she knew that some would be more difficult than others. And that's what made the challenge all the more exciting.

Turning down a hall that indicated that the dorms were in that direction, Mei pulled back her hood so that she could get a better look at everything around her. She passed by the cafeteria where some students where eating or just hanging out, a couple waved at her to which she ecstatically waved back before moving on. She made note of each classroom as she passed them, pondering quietly to herself as to which might interest her the most to take. Of course, she made a severe mental note of where the gym was, she would have to explore that a lot more thoroughly once she got herself all settled into her room.

After walking for what seemed like forever, Mei finally reached the Undead dormitories. And easy enough found her dorm room. Opening the door, her belongings were stacked here and there in small towers of boxes. Closing the door behind her she shook off her jacket and boots near the door, they were still kind of wet so she didn't want them near her stuff. After a couple minutes she finally unstuck Goop from around her neck who quickly made his claim of the bed for now.

Mei turned in a circle. Looking about her room with a small sense of pride. She hadn't had her own room in a long time and this made her feel slightly more grown up. She pushed back the curtains to her window to gaze out at the still rainy world outside before turning her attention back to the boxes. "Well Goop, guess this is it. Better start unpacking and getting things organized. I'm sure you'd like at least some of your toys wouldn't you?" Looking at the Feslime on her bed she smiled as he burbled again. A couple bubbles popping up inside his goopy body. At least she hadn't put sheets on the bed yet.
