The Temple of Guidance General Setting:It is absolutely silent inside the Temple of Guidance. It is a very large, domed expanse, and you note that quite a bit of attention to detail and architecture has been put into creating this temple. You see several priestesses pass by, on the way to a room in the far end, where several more are bowed in prayer. A few Clans members seem irrate that you are even in here... OOC: EVENT ROLLS AND PROMPT MECHANICS: - When your student has arrived in this setting, you can CHOOSE to roll a 100-sided dice at any point in time. You can only do this twice per RP you make. Match your dice roll to the results below for a prompt/ small reaction that your student may discover. RP out results accordingly. 1-20: You look at the two large statues placed at the entrance of the temple: both of them two cloaked figures with outstretched wings, very similar to the general appearance of the Priestesses. 21 - 40: You notice a strange smell in the center of the room: in a large pyre is what smells sweet and gentle: incense. However, smelling it for a long period of time makes you dizzy, and the room swim. 41 - 60: You notice that there are candles littered all around the room, and they are lighted in an odd, indiscernible pattern. (see below for horsemen point prompt) - Horsemen point prompt! You also see something glint next to you, but is it just a trick of the light? Roll a 6-sided dice. If odd you obtain one horsemen point! You can only redeem a max of two from all prompt prps/orps your student is in per OOC 24 hours. You can redeem these here and here! 61 - 80: You hear a Clans member chanting as he drapes an ornate, jeweled necklace over the pyre in the center. "All paths lead to the same end", "All souls require guidance"... the muttering goes on and on. 81- 100: One of the priestesses, in fact, the one leading a procession forward, turns around to look at you for a second, just a brief second, before walking away.

Mei was amazed by how much more....detailed the temple seemed to be outside of everywhere else that she had explored so far. Brown eyes went wide as she stepped inside. The smell of incense and the low mumble of prayer drifting through its pillars and echoing softly off the interior of the domed ceiling.
She walked past several alters where candles and incense burned. Several priestesses shuffled past her and she felt watched as she wandered through. Peering into shadowy corners as her shoes clicked against the hard floor.
Spying more priestesses at the far end of the corner, she stopped to watch them as they bowed in prayer. Barely able to hear their whispered words as she strained to hear them.
This most certainly was a place of great importance to these people.

The ghoul's attention was instantly drawn to the Clans member near the center pyre. All thoughts of the praying priestesses lost as she listened closely to his words. Her eyes locking upon the jeweled necklace that he draped over the pyre.
What was it that he said? 'All paths lead to the same end?' 'All souls require guidance?' What end? And just exactly who's souls needed what guidance?
Curious and curiouser. She had been hearing a lot of strange things lately in her adventures and this just cause her to raise an eyebrow even more.

Glancing about the temple room again, Mei noticed more and more candles lighting the room. They cast strange shadows upon the wall that seemed to dance and writhe as the flames flickered in the small breezes that filtered through the entrance to the temple.
Something glinted in the corner of Mei's vision. What was that? It reminded her of something in the library...

The light seemed to just be her eyes playing tricks on her. As soon as it had appeared it had vanished, never to glint again no matter how long Mei stared at that spot.

It was silent in the temple, and Myr entered it cautiously, glancing around. He was only planning on staying for a moment or two, long enough to see everything, but not enough that he would feel as if he was over stepping his welcome. He glanced around, looking at everything, and he noticed that the area was lit by candles, in some sort of strange pattern. He was sure that there was a meaning to it, but he didn't think that anyone would tell him what they meant even if he were to ask. Which he wouldn't. It would just be something to ponder, later. He noticed a ghoul looking around as well, and he made his way over to her. "Hey," he whispered. It was barely loud enough for her to hear, but he didn't dare speak any louder. It would be disrespectful. "Interesting place here, don't you think?"

He had come and made an offering a while back but this time- he wanted to explore. Explore all the things! All the things forever! Stares and glares didn't bother him as he just sort of... wandered, jaw open and gaping at the tiles set into the floor and walls and ceiling and- Oh Jack he wanted a room like this! The statues at the entrance even, so big and massive... Why didn't the school have anything as nice? They should budget for that. Not paying much attention he almost bumped into another student. A tiny chirp escaped his making one of the priestesses glare daggers. Israfel just ignored it. "Sorry! But hello, are you exploring too?" His whisper was poor at best.

Looking up from what she had been staring at, Mei smiled at Myr giving a small nod. The glinting light forgotten for now as her attention was on him. She placed her arms inside the large sleeves of her kimono. "Mmhmm. Though every place that I have visited so far has been pretty interesting to say the least. Though they could use a little more color." She placed her hand next to her mouth to keep any nearby clans members from hearing that last part. The ghoul wasn't quite impressed with the lack of color and simplicity of this island, but at least this temple seemed to have had a bit more thought put into it's design. A surprised look came to the ghoul's face at the sudden tiny chirp and near bumping from another student who had appeared. She really needed to pay more attention to her surroundings. "Yep." Her voice was hushed. "I'm Meixiang by the way. Mei for short." She introduced herself to both boils with a smile.

"All paths lead to the same end", "All souls require guidance"... the muttering goes on and on. Peeking in, Lacie looked around at the large temple. She ended up standing in the middle of the entrance way, her gaze looking above her at the ceiling and the entirety of the temple. "Ah..." It seemed that the ice reaper was at a loss for words.
Catching sight of the temple proceedings, Lacie quickly hid behind one of the many pillars. Her golden eyes simply observed them. Looking over at the clan members, Lacie held remnants of a strange saying. But rather than strange, Lacie thought of the death clan as a benevolent sort.
Catching sight of the other halloweeners in the room, Lacie nervously waved from behind her hiding spot in lieu of a greeting.

(see below for horsemen point prompt) Feeling something at her feet, Lacie looked downwards. T-there were.. candles? She instintively retreated from the bright flames, having a fear of the burning heat. Once she was a safe distance away, Lacie bent down to observe the wax lights. They were all around her. Why was that..?

From the moment Aurian entered the Temple of Guidance, she was hard pressed to tear her gaze from the ceiling. It was so ornate, like someone had managed to twist the stone into designs more suited for the wire jewelry that their official class had them learning. No wonder they had no problems with fancy jewelry if they could do this to a ceiling. Bumping into someone, Aurian meeped and dragged her eyes back down to a much safer level. "I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking- Lacie!" Aurian interrupted herself as she recognised the pale-haired Reaper she'd run into. "You're here! You're okay!" Aurian threw herself at the other ghoul in an enthusiastic hug. Much as she hated to admit it, but after the Trials she'd checked on Mai and Vaith and then just assumed that if they were okay, so were Lacie and Night. But with the amount of relief she felt just from seeing her former teammate, Aurian realised that she really should have checked on everyone, if only so she'd felt this much better about the whole ordeal right away. Tentatively, Aurian checked, "You are okay, right? After the Trials, I mean..." Aurian felt a little dizzy. She was putting it down to joy and worry over seeing Lacie again. But it could also have had something to do with the pyre nearby, emitting a gentle incense that seemed less soothing the more time Aurian spent breathing it in. Quote: 21 - 40: You notice a strange smell in the center of the room: in a large pyre is what smells sweet and gentle: incense. A cloaked figure, dressed entirely in black, a priestess stood next to Aurian.
"I would advise against standing here for too long," the worked as they spoke, deftly switching the sticks of incense, one palm of one hand raised as they scattered what looked like a combination of leaves and dried flowers, "The pyre does have a rather potent effect to those unpracticed in Trance."

"Trance?" Aurian repeated, turning the face the figure. That... may have been a mistake, she thought. One hand flew to her forehead as the room spun. It settled after a few moments of vertigo, leaving Aurian simply curious. The way the priestess spoke the word made it seem very important. "May we know what trance is? Could we learn?" Or was it a forbidden thing? Perhaps something sacred, only for Clan members or even only for certain, special Clan members? Even if Aurian couldn't do it, learning more about it was always a plus. "Um, I don't mean to be rude," she added after a short pause. "Sorry if I say something wrong."
