From the very day they set up a new Lost Clan reservation, Eisheth made a good habit of taking a daily walk examining the surroundings. There were so many things to study! The Halloween town itself was overwhelming, but there were quite a lot of interesting locations around, full of new unknown species of flora and fauna. For past days, right after their scavenging expedition, the alchemist has been studying the Weeping forest: never in her life did Eisheth see so many plants at once. The forest was full of trees (she was still trying to get used to the idea of plants being so tall); bushes, grass; there were berries and mushrooms, and of course, there was life everywhere.

Eisheth always carried a little scrapbook, writing down the results of her examination, and making some short sketches of the species. Some small examples, like pebbles or leaves, she was putting in her stomach or intestines due to the lack of pockets in her dress: that was a common practice for Famine alchemists.

..that was what she was actually doing when she noticed a young Halloweener sitting on a patch of grass nearby. She quickly examined the guest: colourful and vivid outfit with the details quite similar to that of a Conquest (Zhi the Artisan was wearing something pretty much similar); very pale yet solid body. From what Eisheth had seen, it was probably something undead and with no doubts female.

"Hi! What are you doing here?", she asked the stranger. As far as she was told the reservation surroundings wasn't a common place for the Halloween students to gather.

Meixiang? Jiang Shi? Eh... which one of them was the ghoul's name? Eisheth decided she will address the student without actually naming her. Anyway, both words sounded quite difficult to pronounce, and really, it was very similar to the Conquest. Eisheth wondered for a moment, how could a Halloweener be so similar to Conquest clansmen in appearance and even language.

"Hm... so you're a student? You sure you're not a Conquest?.. "

Eisheth looked at the ghoul again, and realized the student was quite frightened. Perhaps, she was sounding too harsh.

"My name is Eisheth Zenunim, and I'm a Famine alchemist. Judging from your reply, I suppose you've met horsemen before?... Famine is..", she sighed and corrected herself. "Famine was the best of all clans. Of course, every horseman would say it about their clan, but believe me, Famine was the best". Eisheth felt really proud explaining this simple fact.

"So, answering your question, yes, I'm a Horseman. Now that we have satisfied your interest, would you mind telling me why are you looking for a Horseman, what is it about this basket, and... what is eh.. Giant She?" The alchemist felt really stupid asking this, but well, she had never been to Halloween before, and there were too many new concepts to remember.

Jiang Shi... Eisheth was rolling the unfamiliar sounds in her mouth getting used to the exotic name. That sounded interesting. Sucking the soul from the living... The alchemist realized it's pretty similar to some of their traditional ward stones, artifacts which could suck the Fear out of the Fear-based creature. Except that Jiang Shi was intended to work on the humans... The ghoul might happen to be a useful friend. But that scroll make them so vulnerable! Is there any way to protect themselves?

Eisheth smiled. "Thank you for the kind words of welcoming! It's very new to us, the Halloween town is overwhelming, and we're still trying to work our ways in a new society we've been thrown into. If you may wish so, I would be most delighted to accept your fruit basket". Eisheth glanced at the fruits. "As the name of my clan suggests, we hadn't been really used to eating delicious food. Just... crops and insects mostly. But those fruits look fascinating. Did you grow them yourself, or you can just buy them in the city?"

The alchemist had so many questions, it was torturing her.

"I.. I hadn't encountered a lot of Halloweeners, as most of the survivors I was out of the islands when.. when the event happened. So, pardon me for some curiosity. If you have any questions to ask, I'd be happy to answer, and may be you can enlighten me about some local ways, as well? And don't be afraid, I won't bite you... not this time", Eisheth laughed. "After all, now we are your guests".

"It's more complicated than just that. Though we all are united by some certain abilities and goals, Four clans are... were very different from each other, the difference is our philosophy, lifestyle, views and beliefs. Of course, every horseman would tell their clan is the best, we're full of pride for what we are. I'll try to be as objective, as I can... especially, since I don't know a lot about other clans, just some random facts. So I may be wrong. Conquest had a very strictly organised society, the organisation is based on every day life conventions and details. They pay a lot of attention to details... that where the art thing comes from. Death... they were only clan with some serious beliefs. I always thought that's rubbish, I still think it's rubbish.. mostly, but what you call art was a part of their beliefs and system. We on Famine... we are very practical. Like insects in the hive. Everyone does something useful for the society, something they are good in. We had what you may call "art": clothes, beads, tattoos, but everything famine made has a practical use. We never did anything just to sit there and look beautiful.. it's still hard for me to understand what others call "beautiful".

The alchemist sighed. She couldn't help noticing she was still talking about her clan in present, not in the past. She was proud to tell more about Famine, she was interested in talking with the stranger, just to be able to talk about her clan. Oh Queen! Her mind was still there, on the island, no matter how hard she was trying to comfort herself.

"I'm sorry for this little lecture", she smiled at Mei. "I would be happy, if you could show me around, how did you call it? the Maul? And I would certainly like to try some new food. You can always come to our reserve, and just call me out".
