Eisheth was walking down the forest looking for the shrooms she has spotted earlier while helping Kiwi to get the herbs for the priestess: if she remembered correctly those shrooms were quite poisonous, and the alchemist wanted to study them closer. After all, she still needed to examine the natural poisons of Halloween flora, since they were completely different from those she was using on Famine.

Suddenly the alchemist noticed some familiar figure between the trees: the fabric of the clothes closely resembling traditional Conquest outfit, though the shapes were different and a bit odd. Could it be.. Meixiang?.. Eisheth realized it was almost the same location she met the ghoul last time. What, was it her favourite place to spend the free time?... Well, it was a quite and cozy part of the forest, Eisheth would agree, but still it was a bit strange to see the student here.

"Mei!", Eisheth called her amiably. "What are you doing here again?"

Eisheth was quite confused, and really surprised.

Prom?..

To go with her?..

Her brain finally started operating remembering some last week talks about the big socializing event in the Amityville academy. Socializing sounded good enough, and it would only be natural if the Horsemen, - and here she meant Famine, of course, - would be presented at the event, since they are a part of Halloween community now, and need to gain respect and power...

...except she has absolutely no idea what is Prom.

"Well, yes, I suppose", Eisheth mumbled. "But while we are going, can you, please, explain it to me a bit? What is Prom? Is it some sort of social gathering?"

Eisheth still wanted to know some details, but at least the whole concept of the Prom became more clear.

A social gathering... a festival. She looked at Mei attentively. Judging from her expression, and the words she have chosen to explain the Prom thing, Eisheth would say that Mei was naive and romantic type. But well, Eisheth reminded herself, they are all kids, after all. They are students, not politicians or warriors. They want to have fun. Also, Mei wasn't annoying her at all: on the contrary, the horseman figured out that ghoul's simple and naive manner was very cute, and appealing to her. And, in the first place, it was very refreshing, especially after fellow horsemen. Hmm. Perhaps, the alchemist has changed a bit without even realizing it....

Eisheth sent a smile to the ghoul. "I don't know the local dances, but as long as they have music playing around, I'm sure I can feel the rhythm. And the mask... I have an idea about that". And indeed she had an idea. To tell the truth she even had a design ready, she just never had an opportunity to wear it.

"As for the outfit, would my regular one fit?", she took a quick look on her dress with all the jewels, golden beads, bracelets, earrings, and rich ornaments. "Hope, it looks festive enough: I don't have anything more fancy anyway", those were the words of pity. if Eisheth had any unpractical and unreasonable favours, that would be dresses and jewelry; she was particularly fond of gold. However, all her belongings were lost among with everything else on the island.

"Anyway, I'd be glad to accompany you, and I'd be glad, if you introduce me to your friends".

Wow, that was fast. Mei's reaction was so quick and genuine, Eisheth was left standing with her mouth almost open, and her eyes rolled: she simply had no idea of how she should have react. She was just thinking about good points in socializing, but the ghoul was literally happy. Oh my, the alchemist shook her head, they are still just students, not so different from little scarelings, in fact. They just want to have fun. Why should they be thrown in such a cruel and cynical world, as this?..

"Emm... yes, I suppose so", she mumbled. One part of her wanted to play "serious" and not to appreciate this familiarity, but another side was sort of fond how Mei could express her emotions in such a simple and humble way. It was so different from what Eisheth was used to, the sheer fact of having emotions, not to mention expressing them, was still overwhelming. Was it a clever idea to get so close to one of the Halloweeners? They were relatives, but still Eisheth could not trust them completely: they were different, and they were alien, and they couldn't understand the Lost Clan people and their feelings, no matter, if the cared to try. But well... Mei was a student, and quite a naive and open-minded one, so that shouldn't really harm getting her a bit closer. If she is not a VERY GOOD actress, which Eisheth seriously doubted, that ghoul wouldn't be able to bring any harm to them, even if she really wanted to. Well. It's decided then. They are going to the Prom.

...the ghoul disappeared already, when Eisheth realized she forgot to ask where actually the Prom is being held. Damn it, cursed the alchemist: from what she remembered, Amityville Academy was pretty big.
