History:
Her mother left when Optheli was barely two turns. Now the memory of her mother is a blank face with flowing hair. All she’s known growing up is the moving of the caravan, seeing new places, and her brother. No matter what, she thinks, he’s always been there for her and always will be. When it came her turn to choose her trading craft she went straight for spices. Let the other girls do needle work and stillroom herbs. While assigned to a different master than her bother she will often go to him with questions.
Just recently she’s started to notice boys in a new light and girls too. She hasn’t told her brother yet, simply waiting for the right time. Optheli has heard that sometimes they take off with young maidens for something evil. Privately she thinks that their just stories told around the campfire at night. Occasionally she’ll see dragons flying over or landing at the hold they’ve stopped at and pause to wonder if the stories are true. She only vagely recalls the last visit to Trine Weyr. They made it out again with all the caravan members, so the stories must be wrong.
Several times she has run into Salin who was looking for her brother. She thinks his hair designs are a bit extreme. The scarves are certainly not to her tastes either.
Description:
At 4’2”, Optheli despairs at ever being tall like her brother. To give herself a few more inches she wears home-made platform shoes. Almond-shaped eyes and a lighter olive skin tone than her brother betrays her family resemblance to him. Optheli likes to wear her hair extremely close cut to her skull, just long enough to barely frame her face. It is the same jet black as her brothers.
Light grey eyes of a thunderhead storm in spring peer out from under delicate eyebrows. Though it looks like a thunderstorm brewing it is actually far from the truth. When it comes to clothes, she prefers a flashy blouse and long skirt. Often in colors that will enhance her eyes.
Personality:
Nothing describes Optheli better than sunny cheerful. No matter how bad the weather or dire the circumstance, she always seems to be in a good mood. Some think its to hide how much pain she’s in cause her mother left when she was only two turns. That is certainly not the case with Optheli. She is happy be alive and it shows through in her attitude. “You can’t always be doom and gloom!” is her motto. The caravan cheerleader would be an excellent position for her.
Optheli is a true blue friend. When someone is having a bad day she’ll do all she can to cheer them up. Even if this means herself as the butt of the joke to get someone to laugh she’ll do it. She’ll do something sweet for a friend if they’re in a bad mood. A favorite treat or a handful of flowers; whatever will cheer their day. Don’t make the mistake of thinking she’s the class clown because she certainly isn’t that.
Her closest friend is quite easily, Silbakor. She feels he can do no wrong and adores him with all her heart. No not that way! That’s just gross. But really, when she has a problem its to Silbakor first, not her father, not the Caravan Master. Odd perhaps but she feels they just have that connection.
In a way she was born to be a trader. She loves to travel and meet new people. Her favorite part is making new friends. Even though there’s sorrow when leaving she has the joy of reunion when she returns and they meet again. Whenever she meets someone new Optheli will go out of her way to find something good about them. Even if she decides she doesn’t like them. Everyone has something good, right?
Even though she’s suppose to be a trader, her gut feeling is that she doesn’t have the knack for it. Privately she thinks she’ll never rise above apprentice. It never gets her down as some might think. Instead she finds other ways to help the caravan; even to the annoyance of her master. Optheli does her best to help out where she can. Cleaning wagons/dishes/laundry or watching the caravan’s children is just fine by her. Just let her change out of her good clothes first, K?

Name: Dynith
Color: Green
Stage: Adult
Size: Average - A dragon of average size.
Build: Average - A dragon of average size.
Wing: Gale Stalkers
Rp Color: Dark Green
Animal: Lesser Green Broadbill
Personality: You might not believe that it is easy to ignore a dragon, but in a room full of dragons, Dynith is the wallflower. Quiet and not at all very confident about herself, this bright little green’s hide is about the only thing that draws attention to her. It’s not that she doesn’t want to speak up and be heard, she’s just sure that there’s not really anybody listening - anyone except Hers, of course. Hers always listens! However when she is finally heard, Dynith shines and is, in fact, a very sweet and friendly little green! What friends she does find the courage to make will always be treated well, and with a great deal of love - Dynith has a lot to give and does not keep much for herself.
Really, it’s hard to otherwise find a flaw in this green - she works as hard as she can in the hope that someone might notice her because of it, and hates making mistakes. After all, if that’s all that someone remembered about her, it would be terrible! They might never want to talk to her! Most comfortable around her other greens, blues are also easiest for Dynith to be herself around. But Faranth help her if a gold or bronze appear on the scene, or one of the lovely silvers! Dynith will clam up as hard as she can, all but swallowing her mental tongue and silently straining to be noticed.
When it comes time for flights, it will be a very trying time for the rider as this green is unsure that anyone might remember that she is there to chase her. Never mind that they all pay attention when a green rises - just like a gold! They always turn out to be good for her, and if it’s a successful flight she might actually come out of her shell (haha) for a few days! Eventually though, it always seems to dim and something sends Dynith back to her usual timidity.
The best fit for this green is probably someone with a bit of a stronger personality, someone who doesn’t mind having a fairly clingy dragon who just needs a bit of encouragement and positive reinforcement! She might have trouble with someone disinclined to work, and probably will not have too much influence over her rider. They will probably be a mild pair, quiet but capable.
Why Me?
Dynith needed someone who was both cheerful and still possessed of some self control. Optheli proved to be that person – she’s able to make friends, maintain a sunny disposition, and is almost selfless in her care of others. That last, in particular, resonated with Dynith and drew the green to the girl.
Really, with how selfless and timid Dynith can be, Optheli’s own desire to support and make people better can only help to make the pair stronger. Additionally, Optheli’s quiet uncertainty about her skills is also something the green recognizes and when she Impressed, it was almost as if she were saying they might not be very spectacular apart but together they had some potential!
All in all, quiet but capable sums this pair up quite nicely. Optheli’s enthusiasm will help to bring Dynith out of her shell while the green’s own mild personality will be a constant support for Hers to fall back on. (Thanks so much Jet!) 3

Optheli's Flits
Ismay  When Optheli has to leave, Ismay will stay with the nervous green. She is a kind and caring flit. Helping around the dragon is what this flit loves best. Often she can be found curled up on Dynith taking a nap. She absolutely loves attention from anyone.
Ismay has done her best to mimic the green dragon. She wants to help Hers too! Even though she's too small to carry a person, she's had Optheli construct a mini saddle for her. Messenger Flit at your service!
