Assist Another Character, That Character Automatically Avoids Threadscore Once
Impede Another Character, That Character Automaticallly Takes Threadscore Damage (cannot avoid being hurt). To Use Your Cheat, Mark at the top of your post in BOLD RED**None of these cheats require player permission beforehand. The only exception is when a character may die for the THIRD time as a result - this requires player permission** The Rules The Rules You may only post for ONE character per post.
NO DELETING POSTS - You will receive an automatic greylisting for deleting posts. There is plenty of room for danger AND safety in this system, abuse will not be tolerated.
Burn Posts are the action posts where one determines how much thread is burned and chance of being scored.
Damage Posts are posts made separately from the Burn Posts, should a dragon suffer Threadscore. These must be separate from Burn Posts.
Both Burn Posts and Damage Posts count towards the waiting period when a dragon's HP drops to 0.
If you are withdrawing your character, please note this in bold in your post at the top.
Please keep a tally of your EXP somewhere, be it a journal or otherwise. A separate thread for buying stats will be available.
How to build your dragon's stats is described below, along with how to roll for damage and thread burning. Please note Silvers have a slightly different method.
Time Riders ONLY: If a dragon participated in (aka posted during the Time Riders Event in Arc 1) the Time Riders' activities, their experience with Threadfall gives them a stat bonus of +5 to HP and +2 to Agility when initially calculating stats.

They had known it was coming and yet they were still not prepared, too absorbed in arguments and politics to watch the sky, to keep their mind on what riders ought to be! They should not have been here arguing with other Weyrs, here trying to drive out the Holdless. They should have been watching the sky. Kleos flung herself into the straps and buckled herself in before throwing firestone to Moriath.

Moriath gulped down the firestone, letting out a short burst as she got her bearings. A sting of pain on her haunches however swiftly reminded her that you always had to be alert during Threadfall. Letting out a cry of pain she jumped between to free herself of it. The Thread. The Thread had returned.

Pipith had never been a dragon to miss a chance to do anything important, anything that might get him noticed, and going with the group Trine sent to investigate the Holdless was no exception. If anything he had been more eager than ever - ever since his and his rider's name had been whispered in rumor as suspects. At first, he'd delighted in the resulting stand-off when dragons from all three Weyrs appeared in the sky, but that delight gave way to shock when the other brone fell, the first victim of Thread.
Delight turned to ferocity, and their training took hold, though even in this, Pipith was eager. They would do this, as all things, better than anyone else!

Typically for the bronze, he had rushed too quickly to prove himself, and it immediately became an issue. He focused too much on burning the Thread, and not enough on avoiding it! It stung across his hide, and the pair flashed between to free themselves of it.

Thread had come, and they were completely unprepared.
It was chaos but they knew what they had to do. He turned his head, and F'nell fed him the firestone. Now they were ready to fight.
He seared the patch right above him, avoiding any sort of damage.

B'ram hadn't wanted anything to do with this in the first place, and had been trying to shut out as much of what was happening as possible. Then came the Thread, and the screams. He was startled into near-panic, and Nachith had to remind him: Firestone, now!
His dragon was not usually the one to be paying attention, but fortunately, he was faster than His today, and for now they escaped injury as they burned away the Thread.

Shards! They should have seen this coming-- should have been better prepared. They'd fought this enemy once before and now it was here in their own time, attacking them once more. Crystal and Argenth weaved their way through the flurry of riders, heading toward a mass of falling Thread that had been missed. The silver opened flames on it--
-- and managed to avoid being hit by any in the process. Experience had it's uses for sure.

When riders had been summoned to question the Holdless about the rumors, J'nes had answered the call. As a result, he and his small brown were caught up in the milling mass of dragons over the Western Continent. There was so much confusion and animosity in the crowd that they didn't notice the approach of Thread until a dragon fell, screaming his pain before disappearing between forever. It wasn't until two more fell to the same fate that Hatteth and his rider looked up. At his first sight of the silvery rain, Hatteth's eyes whirled crimson as instincts urged him to fight the old enemy.
Thread is here! We must fight! his insisted to his rider. I must have firestone! He turned his head towards his rider, ready to receive the essential stone.
J'nes was only too glad that they'd been provided with the stone at all. Hurriedly he yanked open a sack and thrust a large stone in his dragon's mouth. The dragon chewed as fast as possible before taking a second stone. Then with a determined flap of his wings he rode up to meet the returned threat.

S'koi felt quite the fool letting themselves be caught off-guard like this. The Red Star had not just suddenly appeared in the sky-- they'd seen it for quite some time now, had known of it's ominous warning. Yet they had let the chaos of their current times take priority, and this was the price. There were at least three pairs fallen already, and more to come were they not all careful. Screams and shrieks from Threadscore filled the air around them, and it was all they could do avoid colliding into other dragons as well as Thread.
Incoming! Laith warned, lifted her head to spout flames and fight back against the deadly silver enemy. She had flamed just in time; ash fell around them as they escaped unscathed, looking for more Thread to burn.

They had not been prepared for this.
Sure, they had been preparing all of their lives to fight Thread, but they had not been prepared for today. Tensions were at an all-time high between the three Weyrs, and S'ren almost wouldn't be surprised if a dragon pair from elsewhere were to try to flame another dragon pair on purpose. Almost. But they couldn't focus on that right now. The Thread was a far bigger concern.
S'ren and Tereth climbed upward in an attempt to separate themselves from the mess of appearing and disappearing dragons below them as the large brown set loose his flames against the falling Thread. So far so good.

As he blinked back into the chaos from between, practically unscathed thanks to his sharp reflexes, Pipith saw the disorder, but also saw opportunity. There were no full, formal wings here, only knots of dragons and riders desperate to survive, acting as individual pairs. If they could be organized...
The bronze flamed again, burning more Thread from the sky. This time, he was not hit, and called out to those around him, We should fight as wings!
Perhaps it was because of his origin, or perhaps because these were desperate times, but he didn't especially care what dragons might answer him.

There was no stopping though, and the brown flamed at the next patch, using just enough flame to burn it completely. There were would be plenty to flame for all of them, and F'nell could only hope that it would stop quickly, and that they would be able to sear it all before it reached the ground.

Moriath reappeared into warm air and instantly drew in a breath to belch more flame at the tangling silver tendrils. Who was in charge? Nobody so far as she could tell, there were no orders and no formation. So far however nobody had collided, and Thread was being burned. For now it was good enough.
