It had turned into an excellent day. Optheli curved her lips into a smile. Oh she knew that you were 'suppose to' wake up confused and what not. Not that she was going to do that. She knew exactly where she was, and what had happened. Her brother probably wasn't going to be pleased with him for awhile. She snuggled closer to the body beside her. Outside she could sense Dynith echoing her movement up to the bronze. For once, she could detect no worry in the green's mind.

It pleased her that the Flight had relaxed the nervous green. She was sure the green had been delighted with the male turn out, and even more content with the results. Optheli almost chuckled outloud.

At one time in his life, questions like 'Where am I?' and'Who did I just sleep with?' would have been relegated to nights of having had too much to drink, which had been all of once before he became a rider. Over the last several turns, however, he'd asked himself these questions more times than he cared to count, and with no alcohol required to get to them. Varying degrees of dread always followed the first fuzzy moments of waking: just how awkward was this going to be? Since his dragon tried to fly anything that rose, regardless of Set'al's own preferences, it could be anyone. And while Set'al didn't exactly have a problem, objectively speaking, with men sleeping with other men, he was not particularly happy when he ended up doing just that.

The reluctance to open his eyes and find out was fleeting, however, as the other rider stirred before he did, and snuggled up against him. Yeah, that was definitely the uh...feel of a woman. He resisted the urge to sigh with relief. Feeling considerably better, and taking the cuddling as a good sign - being kicked out was also not high on his list of scenarios to wake up to - he slipped an arm around her and opened his eyes.

This was...someone he knew. Passingly, anyway. One of his wingmates. Optheli. Of course, he had yet to come up with anything to say after waking up that sounded halfway alright. "Nn...hey."

Pipith, at least, was much less befuddled than his counterpart, and thrummed happily at the cuddly green - his green, for the moment anyway. He nuzzled her affectionately, aware that the better he treated the females he caught, the better his chances would be of catching them again.

Optheli was delighted when she felt an arm wrap around her. This was a delightful way to wake up. She rested her head on his shoulder; relaxing in the moment awhile longer. A soft giggle answered his awkward greeting.

"Hay is for herdbeasts," she teased and glanced up at his face. "I guess congrats on your win?" Optheli gave him a grin. She was reluctant to get up with her green content. While this wasn't exactly her first time finding herself in another's bed, it was by far the best experience. Her soft voice spoke again, "I'm pretty sure Pipith enjoyed himself. Did you?" Light grey eyes watched him.

Dynith crooned back. She accepted his nuzzle and rubbed her cheek against him. It was almost magical to find herself next to the bronze. Mine I picked a good one didn't I? Her eyes whirled a contented blue-green.

"And for guys just waking up," Set'al asserted. "It takes us longer to put words together." Oh, but Faranth, he was so glad she seemed happy. It wasn't often that another rider's reaction was outright bad, but well...even once was enough for him to be wary of potentially unhappy greenriders.

And then she congratulated him, and asked him if he'd enjoyed himself. That was, uh. Under more ordinary circumstances, he really wasn't too bad at this kind of stuff, but he tended to be a little out of sorts post-Flight. The first thought that came to mind in response was 'Pipith always enjoys himself' - which was true - but sharp disapproval from the bronze stopped that blunder just as he was opening his mouth. Yeah, he needed to wake up more so he could think effectively before he talked. It was a bad sign when Pipith had to act as a filter.

"Completely," he answered finally, wisely deciding that simple was the way to go, and inclined his head to smile back at her.

You flew magnificently. Pipith stretched a wing over the smaller dragon. Your agility is...impressive, he rumbled appreciatively.

Optheli gave a soft laugh. "I suppose so. Perhaps a cup of klah and some fruit would help?" She really needed to meet more of her wing before another scene like this happened. Whenever Dynith allowed it that was; that gave her plenty of time. Already awake and chipper, Optheli rose to pull on a shirt while looking for his drudge summoning system. Perhaps she should call Ismay and send her with a note.

"I hope you don't mind Set'al, I'm really not snooping." She grinned. It would be decidedly easier at her own weyr. Something to consider and arrange before the next time too. If she was given a chance! "Good! I'd of been disappointed in myself if you hadn't."

Dynith preened quietly under the bronze's praise. To be noticed by him was a great feat in her eyes for a lowly green. Happily she tucked herself under his protective wing. It certainly wasn't bad from this perspective! She crooned daintly, I'm glad it has impressed you Pipith.

"Probably," he agreed, rather mystified by how awake she was. Maybe it was a girl thing? When she rose - which was a pity, because he'd been really comfortable - he reluctantly sat up, and finally realized he was actually in his own weyr. Huh. He hadn't had to worry about getting kicked out after all!

"'Course not." It wasn't like there was much of anything to find, as he wasn't someone who kept a lot of stuff, and he certainly didn't bother to decorate. He was a guy! A guy who was happy to sit back and enjoy the view while Optheli walked around in just a shirt.

Set'al grinned. "I don't think you have anything to worry about there."

It is no wonder so many chased you. Since the flattery seemed to be going over well, he continued it.

Optheli finally found what she was looking for and sent her order for hot klah, fruit, and some cold meat. Errand done she returned to sit beside him; leaning comfortably against him. Dynith shouldn't need to eat today, and that gave her a bit of leisure time. Where was Ismay? For a moment she frowned. It took a bit to establish the green was taking care of herself for the day.

She gave a delightful laugh at his sally. "Well then I shan't worry about it anymore." Her eyes twinkled with laughter. "How long have you been at the Weyr Set'al?" Optheli tilted her head curiously. "I believe Pipith is from the same clutch as Dynith isn't he?"

Dynith ducked her head shyly for a moment. I did not think many would. Or that you would notice a little green.

When she returned, he put his arm around her again, leaning back comfortably. "It's been...almost two turns now?" Set'al chuckled a little at what followed. "Nah, but I'll take it as a good sign you think he's native. We actually started out at Southern."

You are too beautiful not to notice, Pipith assured his catch. Granted, he noticed everything that rose, but it sounded better the way he said it.

She snuggled back up against him content to wait for the food delivery. "How do you like it here?" Optheli made a face and giggled. "Oh dear me. Now I feel silly. Is it much different from Southern?"

The green crooned. Perfectly happy to be somebody's girl.

"I like it just fine." Set'al smiled, closing his eyes for a moment in contentment. "I think we've settled in pretty well, and most people don't seem to mind us anymore."

There'd been some suspicion initially, and then again after the attacks, but it had been awhile since he'd heard much in that regard."It's similar enough, I guess. It's a Weyr." He chuckled. "The rider weyrs are different, but I think I like these better."
