F'ren was in the kitchens, Touloth was sleeping so he'd decided that in his free time he would get some food. He hoped it'd mean he didn't feel so hungry whenever Toulonth was, although she was starting to slow in her eating, and nowhere near as often as when she was first hatched. He spied some of the cooks making something sweet and smiled "Ladies, ladies now there is far too much sweetness for one room" he said, spreading his arms to gesture them all, some would know him for a great flirt but there would inevitably be some that were flattered, he didn't mind either way as long as it got him some food.

Optheli came walking in at just this point, and had to duck under his wide spread arms. "Hey watch it!" She was still a little upset with her bunkmate from their argument. Being down here for the reason of that argument didn't help any. A quick wave to the cooks saw her mostly through the kitchens and into a cold room. Familiar enough with where the item she wanted was, getting food for her flit wasn't nearly the hassle it had been. And the cooks were friendly once they got to know her. That thought cheered her up a little.

F'ren jumped a tiny bit as a girl ducked under his arm,
"Hey watch it!"
He frowned until he realised she seemed somewhat upset, he didn't like seeing people upset, suddenly he recognised her as another Rider and wondered what had happened. "Hey!, are you alright?" he asked following her towards the room.
A silver blur flitted in front of him and into the room, strangely his Silver flitter seemed to be crooning "Zevra?" he said confused as his Fire Lizard actually seemed to be interested in this girl for some reason. "Seems like he's in a Rare mood, he doesn't normally warm so quickly to people" he said hoping to cheer the girl... Op...something, he couldn't recall. Optheli Mine, Dynith's, Where are you? "I'm in the kitchens Toulonth, Dynith's seems upset about something i will be back soon" he thought to her, for once using the style of speaking he was told to use with her, rather than speaking out loud.

She huffed to herself as she heard the boy following. Really? Optheli ignored him for a moment to pull something off the shelf. The girl turned toward him. A bowl of raw meat in one hand, and a young green flit tucked in the crook of her other arm. "I'm fine. You shouldn't stand right in the middle of everybody's way."
She blinked in surprise at the silver flit, watching it for a moment. "Is it me he likes? Or the food, or Ismay?" She wasn't sure what to make of it. Why would a silver have interest in a green? A baby at that. Her grey eyes looked questioningly at him. Ismay glanced up at the silver and proffered a small cheep.

F'ren gave a mock look of hurt "Why, you COULD have just said excuse me Optheli" he said smiling at the green form nestled against the girl "She's pretty, how newly hatched is she?" he asked.
Zevra crooned again when the green cheeped at him, however he leapt off the shelf he'd been sitting on and snatched a portion of meat from the bowl the girl was holding. F'ren frowned "sharding pest" he muttered as the silver went Between "yeah that's gonna end up on my bed" he said "Sorry about him, i think he enjoys messing with people."

Optheli stuck her tongue out at him. "If you hadn't been standing in the way, I wouldn't need to say anything now would I?" She liked the wide open tracks and plains. These enclosed walls were just.... blah. With the caravan she could have just gone around. It should be common courtesy to keep paths clear in a confined space.
She paused to think and count, her lips moving slightly as she did. "Thanks. About a day and a half ago? I think. I was.... Hey!! That was for Ismay!" She turned glaring grey eyes on the boy. "You put him up to it didn't you? Are you trying to be a nuisance or does it just come naturally?" Ismay gave a squawk of dismay as the silver took off with a bite of meat. That was her's and she was really hungry.
Optheli took a deep breath before letting it out. "Will you please move aside. I must go feed my flit."

F'ren laughed as Optheli stuck her tongue out at him "You're cute when you do that" he said, in an attempt to make her laugh at least. "Well, i guess so, but i was only in the way for a moment, you could have waited or asked me to move!"
He nodded and smiled as he remembered what it was like when Zevra had been that newly hatched but the smile was wiped off his face as she accused him of telling Zevra to take the meat "How dare you!" he boomed "Why would i TELL him to do that?" he said annoyed now "How callous do you think i must be?" Sighing he moved aside and into the cool room, grabbing a handful of meat scraps he tossed them into the bowl. "I would never take food from a creature, not ever" he said softly, angry that she'd accused him, but slightly upset that she'd thought that of him.

She flushed. What could she say to that? She sputtered for a few moment, then decided to put it aside. "Alright. Next time I'll ask." She gave a sigh.
Optheli took a deep breath after he yelled, attracting glances from the kitchen staff. "Your right. I'm sorry I accused you." She realized she must have been more bothered by her argument with V'al than she thought. Perhaps it'd be best if she just got away from him for awhile.
She just looked at him when he replaced the meat. Ismay cheeped hungrily. Optheli ducked her head and scurried out of the kitchen. Her equilibrium. She really had to find it again, before she ran into him next time. 'Mine? What is wrong?' I just ran into a boy. I think I over-reacted just now.
Dynith sent a mental croon. It would all be ok, she was sure. 'We will make it right to him later. Surely he will understand.' Her confidence soothed Her's enough that Optheli stopped stopped slouching and walked a little taller.

F'renmine? what's wrong? you are sad but other things too
"It's alright Toulonth" he said to her through slightly clenched teeth "Someone .... ah, forget it" he said sighing, he went after Optheli who had scurried out after apologising, now HE felt back for scaring her off because he'd yelled "Toulonth? could you find out where Optheli went?" he asked
She may not want to be found but i will ask Dynith if she will tell me where Hers is, you should make more friends, not shout at them.

'Mine is in the eating hall Toulonth. She is unsettled and sitting far off to one side.' Dynith responded to the green's request. She couldn't go in to sooth Hers and Hers always felt better with company. Toulonth's would make Hers happy again.
Optheli found a quiet, semi-dark corner of the eating hall to occupy. She popped a piece of meat into the green flit to keep her quiet while she got settled. Stupid boys anyhow! Why do they have to be so....boy! She sighed; she was just too nice to insult someone really well. Eventually, that boy would encounter her again and she'd have to apologize. No help for it, Optheli was certain she had over-reacted.

"Thank you Dynith" replied Toulonth, relaying the message over to Hers
F'ren sighed and moved swiftly into the dining hall, glad of the fact that the Dragons couldn't fit. It was enough to deal with the fact he'd upset the Green's rider, he didn't want to see if he'd upset the Dragon too.
He strode up, making no effort to be silent, "Optheli, i ...i shouldn't have yelled at you like that" he said moving to put a hand on her shoulder, but thinking better of it, he sat down near her "Are you hungry? i can go get something while you're feeding the little one?" he offered, not sure of what else to say, he didn't like staying mad at people (unless it was that Benden)

She didn't turn when she heard him coming up, but finally had to look up at him when he came up next to her. Optheli took a deep breath. This was a lot sooner than she would have wanted to meet him again. "I'm sorry too. I out of sorts and not myself."
Her head shook. "No thanks. Why don't you have a seat and talk with me awhile?" She figured it best to talk to him now, rather than wait awkwardly. Plus, if she got to know him better, it might prevent another misunderstanding. She gave F'ren a little encouraging smile. Inside her head, she heard Dynith croon happily.

F'ren smiled "You already said you were sorry" he said, already starting to put it out of his mind, "So what did you call her?" he asked.
He nodded when she said she didn't want anything to eat, he remembered not feeling all that hungry either when he'd been feeding Zevra his meat when he was first hatched. "Ok, i can talk, what about?" he said with a slight smile edging his lips.

She gave a quick shrug. It had seemed needed at the time, since he was apologizing too. 'Theli grinned, "Ismay. When did you get yours?" She fed the green a few more pieces.
A blink and she looked blankly at him for a moment. "I don't know."

F'ren smiled broadly when Optheli grinned, "pretty smile" he mumbled to himself "Ismay, thats a nice name" he said watching the Green flit eat "i got Zevra oh .... about haf a turn or more ago now, i forget really but he's been full grown for a while, i just wish he wouldn't act like he has a wherry up his tail" he said first with a fond look as he remembered the sweet hatchling, but frowned as he noted the tempermental pest he'd become.
F'ren laughed, "HA!, well .. how about .. Dragons, are you looking forwards to flying lessons?" he asked,
