Erionda folded her arms across her chest. Her eye's closed thoughtfully. It had been a relief to acquire a shield without having to call on Arick. Not that Aquon had left her instructions on how to contact him. Snearing at the course reminder Erionda shook her head.
As Erionda took a step out of Aricks room she debated making a run for it. Aquon's firm hand pulled her on her right ear, a firm persuasion she shouldn't try anything. Aquon dragged the pink haired hybrid back towards the docks. In between yelps. She tried to explain she could walk by herself. He wasn't buying it. He pinched Rio's ear harder and picked up the pace.
"Foolish Half-breed." He mumbled as he marched them off the boat several hours later. "Cant seem to use your eyes or hands worth a dragon send."
Erionda rubbed her eyes which only made him angrier. He yanked her ear the entire way back home. Rio was sure her ear would fall off with the treatment. Being tugged into the house and through the kitchen, Erionda's patience began to wear thin.
"You're going to pull my ear off!" Erionda argued.
"It's not like you listen with it anyway." Aquon threw back.
"I had not control over the choice. It's the weapon that chooses you. Not I the weapon." Erionda continued to protest. Resisting the urge to use her ice skill to gain some freedom. Her ear pulsed painfully as she was dragged up a set of stairs. With his knee Aquon pushed Erionda into the kitchen. Clutching her new weapon tightly.
Ytauya looked up with astonishment as Rio few against the table and steadied herself. Rio rubbed her red ear and looked back at Aquon with daggered eyes.
"What in Magesc is going on?" Ytauya asked, stepping around the table to see if Erionda was okay. "Aquon, you don't go pushing children around."
"A sword Ytauya." Aquon spurted, jabbing his finger towards the hybrid.
Rio's multi colored eyes opened slowly, struggling to suppress the remainder of the painful memory. It wasn't long after the event, possibly no more than three days. Both Aquon and Ytauya had packed and left. Ytauya's final words were that she would be back to collect two orbs to take back to the celestial vortex with her. She was fed up with Erionda's attitude and her inability to obey simple commands. She was also tired of being confused for the dirty blooded girls mother.
The hybrids eyes shifted towards the glass case. Trying to hold back the tears of betrayal and loneliness. Nine orbs held encased within. "One Ysali and one Ayrala should do... right?" Erionda asked turning towards Uassae.
He gave a subtle nod
Approaching the orbs Erionda drew out the first orb she had acquired. Followed by her first Ayrala orb. She was proud of her success in those battles. She wouldn't require the orbs to remind her of the events. They were etched in her mind.
Lanzecki gave a soft whistle, images flooded Erionda's mind of Ytauya. Pushing the orbs into a sac Erionda moved towards the door to stand outside. She waited patiently for the older maid to approach.
"Here they are." Erionda grunted. Shoving the orbs out and away from her.
Ytauya picked them up without another word and turned away. " You should have obeyed us from the start half breed."
Erionda winced at the words her heart breaking as she extended her need for comfort out to the Drakein's bonded to her. They were still here, they wouldn't leave her.
