Eyphah had just recently returned to Eowyn after his meeting with Rhazes, a meeting that had helped him to gain a whole new power. He had been planning to go straight home, wanting to show off his new form to his mother, clan, and student... but something distracted him as per usual. There was the wonderful scent in the air that spoke of a recent battle, something that he just couldn't resist. The Drakeinian gazed over the battlefield, his tail swishing from side to side behind him, his lips pulling back into a smirk, "Ohhhh, yes, how wonderful!" He purred.
It seemed that this had been a particularly brutal battle, which was of course the best sort, and there were plenty of bodies laying about. Trotting forward he found himself taking it all in, wondering if there just weren't any survivors this go around. A battle to the last man, a foolish and prideful way to go, but he was all for this sort of battle because he was the one that won out in the end. After a quick scan of the battle, making sure that nobody was still moving, he set to work picking through the battlefield. He would take any coin they might have on them, any treasures that interested him, and finally he had to figure out which of these tasty morsels that he'd be taking with him. He'd really love a good Orderite, they were his favorite, and he couldn't wait to get a nice stew going for dinner.
From time to time the Diabi would pause, looking around the area, before returning to what he was doing. Best that he did this quickly, carefully, and cautiously, not wanting to get bothered by any foolish two-legs that would try to chase him away from the prizes he had found thus far.
"Easy, easy." Erionda commanded of the Hastar under her. She could feel the beasts muscles twitch and clench as they moved forward. Above her both Lanzecki and Uassae swirled about relaying what they could see to their bonded partner on the sandy ground below.
Looks messy. Lanzecki drawled lazily through the bond. His eyes catching on several multi colored feathers strewn about the sand. Blood absorbed into the tips and ends, dotting out their beauty.
Looks like a normal battle to me. Between the ever stupid black holes and the filthy blood thirsty birds.
Erionda twitched. She hadn't heard that term from Uassae before. However she had heard them from some of the strange Drakein that frequented the area. Including the strange green one who claimed to have met her parents.
Now wasn't the time to dwindle on those thoughts. Pulling on the reigns of her Hastar Erionda's eyes narrowed as she approached the battle ground. Another day and another sift through. The only reason she had come to the field was in search of orbs, coins, and to make sure Killians young cousin wasn't listed among the dead here. The small girl should never be involved in battle. At least, according to Erionda.
Sighing Rio kicked her leg over the Haster once they had stopped. Shifting closer to the first of the dead bodies Uassae entered her mind again. Watch yourself. Looks like some strange creature off to the left. Doesn't look friendly. Do you think it's what killed everyone.
I doubt it. Erionda replied. Her missmatched eyes flashed in the warned direction. The figure looked oddly familiar. Like the one she had taken instructions from before to fetch strange materials from Soudul. Could this be a brother? A friend? Something akin to the strange abominations she had seen down in the tunnels when she was held captive by Alpha and Beta. She was aware Beta had escaped. Was that one of it's cursed ofspring?
Erionda's feet scuffed in the sand as she drew out her long sword from the shieth on her back. Her body crouching low as she pulled her shield into place. "I'm not taking any chances. If I attack first, it wont have the chance to take me back to that hole!" Erionda shouted in a whispering form. Her feet pushing herself forward as she moved to attack the strange being in front of her. A light near white blue flame burst to life around her sword.
Dice 1 - Hits Dice 2 - 25% Dmg - 76 x 20 = 1520, 25% of 1520 is 380 Dice 3 - 75% Def - 15pt/INT + 2pt per DEF 15 x 55 + 2 x 60 = 825, 75% of 825 = 618.75
Eyphah had just spotted the very thing he wanted most, that being an Orderite that was in mostly one piece, "Mmmm, now you are looking rather delicious! I say that you come home with me for dinner." He chirped, tail swishing from side to side, closing in on the fallen warrior... and then suddenly felt himself getting slammed into by something painful, something that sent him flying. The Drakeinian bounced a few times before he came to rest in the sand a distance from where he had just been standing, "Ow... that is a... weird sort of pain." He muttered, something between fighting the Firani and fighting the Aiskala dragons he thought to himself, lifting his head slowly to looked around, a confused look on his face. He saw no dragons looming over him... but he did see a woman. Now that was even more confusing... some woman had attacked him? Tried to stab him in the back?! He'd done nothing to her!
Though maybe one of these tasty morsels was related to her and she thought him the culprit? Bah, no matter, he would still have to show her that he wouldn't just roll over! Gritting his teeth he pushed himself up to his feet and charge toward her, swinging his tail at her, trying to knock her senseless. He would show this strange, walking rainbow that one didn't go around stabbing people in the back! Well... at least not stabbing HIM in the back, he did it all the time himself to dragons.
Erionda felt a shiver run up her spine as she connected with the strange creature. Her magic attack had depleted with the connection. Had it hit the strange abomination in front of her? Narrowing her eyes at the way it looked at her, Erionda's feet scuffed in the sand. Her hand gripping the hilt of her blade tightly. The creature had recovered far more quickly than she had first anticipated. Her eyes watched it's movements with a stunned silence. Nothing on Eowyn was able to recover this quickly from one of her attacks. The dragons least of all. Here she was able to slaughter dragons rather quickly but this thing was able to stand up to her.
Frozen by a flashback to Alpha. Erionda didn't have time to attack before his tail connected with her stomach. Doubling over, the hybrid struggled to regain her breath. Falling to her knees, her blue eye shone before Erionda's attack moved away from her. A sharp icicle aimed close to the creature. Her aim poor as it sailed by him leaving not a scratch. Hissing under her breath. Erionda managed to push herself to her feet. Stumbling backwards with her free hand clutching at her stomach. Wincing Erionda shoved her sword into the ground. A thick barrier of ice erupted like a protective shell. "What are you!?" She screamed. "And what are you doing picking among the dead!?"
Dice 1 - Hits Dice 2 - 25% - does nothing given her defense Dice 3 - 100% - 15pt/INT + 2pt per DEF 15 x 55 + 2 x 60 = 825, 100% of 825 is 825. lol
A hissing sound came from Eyphah as a shard of ice was heaved at him, something he was able to slid out of the way of before he snarled at her, teeth barred, "I don't need to explain my actions to some violent little twit like you!" He spat out. She attacked his back first and THEN asked questions? It was obvious the girl had a screw loose... normally it would be something he would find utterly attractive but given that it was he was the one she was assaulting it was far less so. If anything it was rather aggravating, "You really should learn to mind your own damn business! What I am doing here doesn't concern you, girl."
She had been quick to put up a shield and he was lagging from the injuries that he'd gotten from that first sneak attack of hers. As such he doubted he was going to be landing a hit without figuring out the weakness of the shield. Such a pain he thought to himself, charging forward to slam his fists against it, "All of your kind are the same, self righteous bastards thinking you can dictate where we should go and what we should do." He hissed at her through her icy shield before taking a few steps back. This was one of those times he wished he was more proficient at magic, perhaps he could get through that barrier of hers, but magic just wasn't his thing. Best that he try to stay on his toes if possible he thought to himself, bouncing back a couple steps and then prepared to attack again when he saw an opening.
He didn't know who she was, what she wanted, or why she was attacking... but he was starting to suspect she was one of those do-gooder sorts, probably here to bury the dead and give last rights. A waste of good meat if you asked him... that Orderite needed to be in his cook pot pronto but before that could happen he had to deal with this girl. Bah!

"It concerns me when you're in my Territory, Creature." Erionda retorted. Not knowing what else to call the strange being before her the hybrid yelled the first thing that came to mind. Eyes quickly darted away from her opponent as the ice began to crack under the blazing heat of the sand around her. Taking a couple steps back as Lanzecki dove towards Eyphah with an ear splitting screetch. Now was her perfect chance. Whatever this thing was, it wasn't taking her hostage like in the past. She had learned she needed to be stronger. And this fight had proven stronger was still not enough. She needed to push even further beyond those boundaries.
The young woman pulled herself up strait. Her lungs filled with the air around her. Magic sizzled through ever fiber of her being. Anger fueled her movements. "An invasion that will cost you." Unforgivable. Her mind yelled. Hurting her, separating her from Killian. Causing pain to her friends. To her. It was unforgivable and she would tear this creature limb from limb if she could. Shards of ice formed around her body. Her eyes snapped to pin Eyphah with a menacing glower. The shards moved away from Rio's body with a powerful force.

Eyphah laughed, "Your territory? Feh, you only wish." He hissed out at her, taking a step forward toward her, "Stupid girl, you are going to wish that..." His words trailed off when various shards of ice were suddenly burying themselves into his flesh, something that was equal parts painful and shocking. He shifted in place from side to side on legs that suddenly felt quite weak before he sank down to his knees, starring down at the sand as it was stained with his blood, "What the... ffff...." He gave a wince as the pain seemed to flood his system and instantly adrenaline followed. It was a sensation he knew well, he also knew what he had to do. He had to use it. He'd channel the adrenaline, burn through it, use it to get home to Tallulah and get the Peisio to heal him.
Pushing himself to his feet, something that caused blood to flow that much more quickly from his wound turned to glare at the other girl, "You... you will regret this... you filthy two-legs..." What was it with these things... they went around attacking everyone that had a pulse it seemed. No wonder there were so many bodies to be had in Eowyn. Eyphah lifted a hand, coughing up some blood into it, a sure sign that he shouldn't waste his time snarling at her, not when he needed to be moving. If he stood around any longer he'd likely keel over.
Whirling around Eyphah forced himself to move and, something that only caused that much more pain for the Diabi, he forced himself to shift. He needed his wings or else he wouldn't be getting home. If nothing else at least they weren't damaged he thought to himself as he turned into his Drakein form mid-run, taking to the air in a wobbly manner, retreating toward home. If he had any sort of luck left he'd get back before he breathed his last... and if he survived he'd find that girl again and stuff her head first into a stew pot!

Erionda watched in amazement. Her legs suddenly disappearing from below her. Crumbling to the ground Erionda heaved a sigh. She had escaped whatever danger had been waiting for her. Hands pressed into the sand in front of her. Erionda struggled to keep herself upright. She had not spent so much energy in trying to defeat a creature before. The task had taken it's tole on her.
Uassae's presence nudged against her conscious mind through the bond. Just as his muzzle pressed gingerly into her side. Desperate for his help and comfort Erionda's arms struggled to move around her bonded Drakeins neck. Her body trembled as she moved to stand, with help from Uassae. Together they moved towards the Hastar Lanzecki held at bay. She could feel their powerful admiration at her success. Their worry for her health. Her muscles felt weak, her body using everything it could to pull herself onto what she thought was the Hastar and hold herself steady. Sitting up was hard enough. Erionda's fingers spread in search of the hastars reigns only to find the familiar scales of her beloved Drakein. "Uassae. I'm a burden. I'm not the tiny child anymore."
His reply was a soft rumble as the small group proceeded home. As much as he didn't care for the Oblivionite that had taken refuge in his bonded's heart. He would be the best chance to help Rio in such a time.
