Picking through the dry stalks of plants, Erionda looked up from the garden she was working on. The heat had killed what remained of the already fragile plants outside. Erionda pushed herself from the ground with a sigh, her eyes glancing in the direction Kilian had left. He hadn't returned yet, and several days had already passed. Brushing her hand over her shoulder Erionda felt the familiar chill of her magic over her skin. Turning towards the cave she had once been held captive in Erionda brushed the back of her wrist against her forehead. Trying to remove the sweat from her head. Shrugging her shoulders Rio heaved another long sigh. Without Kilian around Erionda felt the pains of solitude again.
Lazecki raised his head with a questioning purr, pulling his wings into his body. "Is it wrong of me to miss him?" Erionda questioned vocally. Smiling shyly as Lanzecki shook his head. Yawning as he pushed himself to his feet. Walking over to Erionda he lowered his head to press it into his bonded's shoulder with a whimper. "It's alright Lanzecki, I'm not weaker because he's gone."
The Keindred stretched again, spreading his wings to keep his unbalanced teenage body steady. Sending mental images to Erionda of a brisk walk together over the hot sands. "You think that will help?"
"It couldn't hurt." Uassae mumbled. "Anything to get your mind free of that twisted Oblivionite would be a good thing."
Erionda snapped her head towards Uassae. "I know you don't like him, but he's been kind to me. He's been helpful and I miss him." Walking to Uassae's side Rio pulled herself up onto the Drakein's back. "Perhaps a walk would be best you guys. Maybe with you two I could tackle going to see that place." Erionda sent her two companions images of the cave Alpha had held her captive in.
Uassae snorted as he started walking through the sand. Lanzecki trailing deliberately behind. Giving a yelping bark as they drew closer to the cave. There was a figure in the distance he was certain he could recognize.

With the smaller then normal egg tucked in one arm in a protective manner Junjie peered through the sands to try to spot who it was that was coming toward them. He couldn't help but to wonder about who it might be that was coming out here, was it someone from that gathering, someone that had followed him, someone dangerous? He lifted the edge of his cloak up to hide the egg while Abellio moved and for the first time put himself between Junjie and the one that was coming their way, growling slightly, before the two of them seemed to realize who it was that was coming their way. It wasn't anyone dangerous, instead it was someone they knew, someone they liked, "Rio." Junjie murmured, a smile appearing on his lips, "Seems like things are looking up, doesn't it Abellio?"
The Ysali Drakein nodded his head, tail swishing, "Rio and Uassae!" He chirped happily, never happier to see the two of them. The last time they had seen Rio it was at a distance when she was up on the stage, to see her here, far from that place, Abellio was please. As the two of them started forward toward where their friends were Abellio gave a crooning sound, "Show egg to Rio?" He asked of Junjie who nodded his head, something that had the Keindred bounding forward toward them, giving a squealing sound when he realized that Lanzecki was with them too! It had been some time since he'd seen him, how exciting! Such a good day it was becoming for Abellio and he could tell that even Junjie was starting to perk up more and more.
It was another good sign, Junjie decided, that those that he knew and cared for were coming through the sands toward them. When he heard Abellio's squealing, able to tell through their bond what it was that had him making such a sound, he couldn't help but to laugh. Silly thing he found himself thinking, amusing by how excited it seemed Abellio was over getting to see the other Keindred once more. He was probably racing over there to tell them all about the egg that they had found, silly Keindred he thought to himself. Once he was close enough he lifted a hand to wave it, "Hello again." He greeting the trio, a soft smile on his lips.

"Is that?"
"Junjie." Uassae finished with a welcoming croon. "That is one male I will never get tired of seeing."
Erionda rolled her eyes at Uassae's comment. Patting her protective companions neck. "Relax I told you, Kilian doesn't mean me any harm."
"You trust far to easy Rio." Uassae shifted as Erionda moved her leg to dismount his back. His tail flicking playfully back and forth. It was nice to see another Drakein other than the dramatic teenage Drakeins. Not that he took Abelio any different than Lanzecki. Both were dramatic and very enthusiastic kin, only one acted more spoiled than another in his eyes.
Erionda waved a smile growing on her face as she took in the site of the hybrid before her. It was a welcome change seeing someone she knew in the sands. Kilian had been gone for several days and her heart was longing for the company of another human. Not that her Drakein didn't give her a welcome companionship but there was just something about human contact that appealed to her lately. "It's a pleasure to see you again Junjie, I-" Erionda paused as her eyes fell on a strangely colored egg in Jun's arms.
A bright smile lit her face. "Junjie, you found an egg!? A second Drakien sure can add a handful." Erionda giggled as she motioned towards Lanzecki rolling her eyes at the overly dramatic display the Keindred currently pulled in an attempt to welcome Abelio. She reached out wanting to stroke the shell of the egg, pulling back before her fingers could come in contact with the strange coloring. Do you think it's another Ysali? Rio asked of Uassae.
With Jun's luck, I wouldn't be shocked. Uassae replied moving to tackle Lanzecki and earning several mounts of yelping in return.

Junjie nodded his head, "It feels like it's been too long since we last saw one another." With everything that had happened it had been some time since they had been able to see each other during calm times he thought to himself, noticing the way that her words came to a halt, her eyes on the egg that he was holding, and he dropped his gaze to look at it before he gave a smile, "It's beautiful, isn't it? It's so odd... I just found it a few moments ago in the sands of the graveyard." He said, his tone an gentle one as he lifted it up, allowing Rio to get a better look at it. He knew she wasn't the sort that would do anything to risk the egg or the one that inside of it, "It seems a bit on the small side compared to Abellio's egg but the life within it is strong." It was something that he hadn't been able to sense when he'd found Abellio's egg. It was likely due to the power that he'd gained since then.
He watched as she reached out toward the egg but pulled back before touching the egg's shell. After giving her a moment more to change her mind he then drew the egg back to him, "I can't wait to see what hatches from this egg." He murmured, then gave a bit of a laugh as she commented on how a second Drakein could be a handful, glancing over at Abellio, "Yeah, but I am sure it will be more then worth it." He'd enjoyed every moment that came with raising Abellio to this point and the feathered Drakein seemed eager to help him to raise the little one so he wasn't too worried. Of course he thought this now... he was sure that those words would come back to bite him in the backside when the little one hatched and turned into a little monster he thought to himself. A thought that caused Abellio to laugh in response.
Abellio turned to look over toward Junjie for a moment, "Will be alright, Jun!" He chirped, sounding completely confident, before he turned back to Lanzecki, tail wagging rapidly. He was happy with getting to play with Lanzecki again, feeling as if it had been forever since he'd seen him last.

Pulling her eyes away from the strangely colored egg in Junjies hand Erionda motioned back to her home. "I... uh. If you're bored I would be happy to invite you to join me for dinner or something. It's..." Erionda turned away with a blush. "A little lonely in my home without Kilian around. Not that some of his things aren't still there but-" Uassae's rumbling growl interrupted Erionda's thoughts.
"He's gone that's all there is too it. Forget about him Rio." Turning to Junjie with a more pleasant tone. "It would be nice to have you join us for some dinner. Though."
Erionda rolled her eyes as she gazed at the egg again. "Maybe it seems smaller now that you are older? How do you think this 'sage' guy or your mother will feel about it?" Rio had only faintly remembered Junjie mentioning a 'Sage' the last time they had met but she hadn't been able to get many details before he had excused himself to leave her alone with Kilian. Giggling, and tilting her head back towards Junjie at the thoughts. She had originally thought the strange tension in the room was between Kilian and Junjie. Boy was she ever wrong!
"Y-you know. I honestly thought you and Kilian had sparks flying between you the first day you two met. I thought there was an instant connection." She made a small motion with her pinky finger. "You know, more like the irresistible pull of a crush." Coughing at Uassaue's mental smack Erionda looked back towards the house. "Pardon that was quite rude of me to bring up out of no where."

Junjie glanced back at the graveyard that he had been at for some time before he nodded, looking back to Rio once more, "I think that it would be nice to spend some time with friends instead of lingering here any longer." He spent time here, mourned here, and felt that now was the time for him to take a break. He would see about figuring out how to move some plants here to make the graveyard seem a little less lonely later, for now though he would rather go with Rio and her Drakein. The graveyard was too quiet, too lonely, and he felt that it would be a good thing to put distance between himself and this place for a time. He'd been given his sign after all, one that he took at face value, and one that he would hold onto. At her mention of being lonely in her place without Kilian he couldn't help but to wonder where it was that the guy had gotten off to.
Looking between Rio and Uassae he couldn't help but to be confused and curious before asking, "Where is he at?" He asked, though wondered if he would get an answer given that Uassae was telling Rio to 'forget about him' when it came to Kilian. Huh, had something happened he found himself wondering before he nodded, "Dinner would be nice." He said to the Drakein, "Thank you both for the invitation."
Lifting the egg up to look it over he gave a little nod, "I wonder if that's it... I was a lot smaller when I first found Abellio's egg. I tried to hide it by putting it under my shirt when I first found it. I must have looked so silly waddling home with such a big egg under by shirt." He laughed, then found himself thinking over what she was asking, "My mother... she will likely tell me to keep a better eye on this one, Abellio tended to get into things a lot when he was little, as for the Sage... he didn't seem to mind Abellio too much. So long as it doesn't interfere with my training I am sure he will be alright with it." The man seemed to have a one track mind when it came to Junjie but that was likely due to the fact that Junjie's mother had asked him to take care of Junjie and make sure he was well trained. After everything he'd seen of late he could understand why that was, why they wanted him so well trained.
What was said next had Junjie's eyes going a bit wide, his cheeks coloring a little, before he gave a bit of a laugh, "Really? Kilian and I? That is... actually kind of funny. He's not bad looking but that was certainly not what was sparking between us. Instead he just seemed like he was going to throw me out if I didn't leave of my own volition that day." He said with a bit of a smile, a bit amused by it now even though he had been annoyed that day, "Him trying to chase me off, it was why I retaliated the way I did, I hope you can forgive me for what I did to tease him." He said, giving Rio a smile. While he didn't think that a kiss on the cheek was too horrible a thing he probably should apologize for having done such a thing without permission.

Erionda couldn't help but beam widely at the acceptance of her offer. Finally having company would be a welcome addition to her home. Perhaps it would drive some of the reminders of Kilian away from her mind. "I appreciate this Junjie, I long for company right now." Her mind swirled as she turned towards her house, feeling light headed as the heat began to creep up on her again. Struggling forward Erionda felt the sizzle of her magic once again create the thin layer of ice over her body. "Eowyn's heat is bothersome. Does it effect you much Junjie?" Raising her hand as she felt Uassae move up next to her. Following slightly behind with his head lowered lovingly next to Erionda's side.
Uassae's eyes flicked between Erionda and Junjie at the questions of Kilian's current location. Erionda paused in her step. Her shoulders sagged forward as she hung her head momentarily. Lanzecki offered the soft whine as he moved up beside Junjie.
"No... Knowing... Rio no know. He say be back. But he not back." Lanzecki shook and hung his head as Rio squared her shoulders and kept moving forward. "Rio sad he gone. Mom gone not come back. Dad gone not come back... Maybe Kilian gone not come back." It was the most Lanzecki had ever spoken around anyone other than Erionda. Squeaking as he noticed she had moved on ahead already.
Catching an opportunity to change the subject Rio smiled. "Great, what would you like to eat!? I have many fresh vegetables and cactus flower and roots. And some meat that I just finished curing the other day. I could make a stew." Erionda offered, glancing towards Junjie hoping he would walk with her instead of ahead or behind. "And we don't need to be thanked for the invitation. I'm just happy you accepted it."
Her eyes wandered the eggshell again as Junjie spoke. It reminded her of the situation she had saved Lanzecki from. The situation she had heard Uassae's egg had been recovered in. Licking her lips Erionda looked skyward. Blocking out the sun with her hand. "The little ones are always so energetic and love to explore." Chuckling she reached for the front gate as they approached her home territory. "One of the reasons I'm glad for the roof ontop of the house. Lanzecki's been able to build up muscle to fly there. And that's how Uassae learned."

Junjie couldn't help but to nod, "I know the feeling." He said, really feeling as though company was something he could use as well, "No offense to you, of course, Abellio." He said quickly to the Keindred, not wanting for him to get offended by Junjie wanting company that was of similar nature to him. Given the way that Abellio didn't answer, too caught up in playing with Lanzecki, it seemed as though he probably understood. While the two of them were close it seemed they both were looking forward to time with friends of their own kind for a while. He moved to fall into step with his fellow hybrid, glancing over at her when he heard the sizzling sound of her magic, watching in awe as ice spread over her skin, "Wow, that is some trick." He said to her, obviously impressed, then nodded at the question she asked of him, "Oh yeah, I feel dried out all the time, it's difficult to cast a lot of my spells, and the Firani... eesh, I am sure they are gonna turn me to char one day if I am not careful." He said, making a bit of a face at the thought.
"It will be nice when I can wrap up my training here and maybe see about going to a place with nicer weather." He said, thinking about home... though he somehow doubted that home was where the Dovaa Sage was going to send him next as far as his training went. He could only imagine where the man would be sending him next. Either way he meant to retire home for at least a little while he thought to himself before saying, "How about you? It must be harder on you, the way that the sun seems to want to melt your element so quickly here." It was on the tip of his tongue to ask her if she was gonna be moving now that she was allowed entrance to the Celestial City as well as the Ashen City. If she wanted to move to a nicer place, one that wouldn't threaten to melt her constantly she couldn't right? Provided of course that people actually saw the medal she'd been given and acknowledged it. A part of him worried about her moving to such a place.
Turning to look at the silvery Lanzecki as he spoke up, talking about how Rio wasn't sure if Kilian was coming back due to others that didn't come back he turned to her, opening his mouth, about to assure her that Kilian would come back... but didn't get the chance as she started to talk about food instead, seemingly wanting to change the subject. He smiled and didn't pursue the other topic since it seemed she didn't want to talk about it, "Any of that sounds good, much better then the travel rations we normally have." He said, all for any sort of fresh, warm food at the moment. He was sure that Abellio would appreciate it as well though he wondered if it might be getting time to where he should be teaching him how to hunt for himself... or should he wait until he was bigger? Surely one Uassae's size would be more suited for hunting then the smaller Abellio?
Turning to look at Rio he listed to what she was saying about her own Drakein and he blinked a couple times, "Hmm... flying... you know I haven't even thought about that. I should probably help Abellio with learning that particular skill soon." They were so used to walking from place to place, with the occasional boat ride in between, that he hadn't even thought about it. Abellio had wings for a reason, meaning he needed to teach him, "I think we will start that once we have back home to Serenia. Would be a good way to wear him out before he goes inside, he might make less messes that way." Well, maybe, he supposed that they would only know for sure once they got there.

Rio stared off into the distance. Her mind wandered away from the companions at her side. Away from the spoken words. As if her mind itself was fleeing her body leaving nothing but an empty shell below her. The sound of Serenia pulled her back to her senses. So Junjie didn't plan on staying long. The female hybrids shoulders sagged wearily as they approached the house. Starting when Lanzecki pressed his nose into Rio's side. A low rumble of worry before he skipped ahead towards the house.
"Perhaps I'm not the greatest company. But I appreciate that you will at least stay for a meal." Rio offered a feeble smile gesturing for Junjie to enter the house.

Junjie looked over at Rio for a long moment, then gave a bit of a chuckle, "I don't think that I will ever understand girls no matter how hard I try. You and Tilawen are by best friends and the ones I care for most and yet both of you don't seem to think that you are the best company or in Tila's case not good friend material. I think you are both wonderful." He told Rio, giving her a smile before he stepped inside, looking around a moment, then side stepped as the feathery terror known as Abellio came inside in a rush, "Slow down, Abellio! I don't want you knocking over any of Rio's things!" He called after the overly excitable Ysali who seemed to want nothing more then to go up to the roof again. He must like the view from up there he thought to himself.
After a mental reply from Abellio who promised not to break anything the Ysali was off and running again, causing Junjie to shake his head before he moved to rest his staff against the wall near the door, hung his cloak up on it, and then set his heavy pack down alongside it. Once he'd unloaded all of his things, his pack clinking from the orbs stuffed inside, he gave a sigh of relief, "So nice to be rid of that weight for a while." He murmured, then lifted the egg up to look it over, "The life force is quite strong within the egg, even though it was all alone I think its going to hatch just fine." Something he was glad for, doubtful that he would have been able to deal with a dud egg after everything else that had gone down recently. This egg as well as Rio's appearance were a true God send, of that he was certain.
"Do you need any help with preparing the meal? I don't mind helping." He offered, while fire was the polar opposite of his natural element he could at least tame it enough so that he could cook which was a definite bonus when it came to feeding himself.
