Quote: Rumors have reached your ears of a cave full of many dragons where an awesome fighter like yourself could go. There are even a few whispered rumors of some nice treasure within! So you decide to go, either alone or with some friends, and check this cave out! Upon reaching the cave in Eowyn, you notice that the cave itself doesn't appear to be anything special as you approach. Perhaps the rumors are not true... Do you: A) Go inside? Roll 2 4-sided dice and go to "Room 1" B) Leave? Go to "Exit" Lay dozing in her bed. It had been an exhausting few days. Company had come and some had stayed. She didn't mind though, as long as they cleaned up after themselves. She had taken the time to travel various places in search of her new home and though she had found it, something held her in Eowyn for the time being. However if the pressure continued from the neighboring town, Erionda was sure she was going to move to Aisko for her own protection. Rolling over on the small cot in her room, Erionda's hand fell to the floor. A small snowflake like pattern froze around her finger to imprint the floor. A signal that her body was cooling itself off again as she slumbered. Her thick blue breastplate and the coverings she usually tied around her waist lay against the floor. Draped cautiously over her sword. Her small heirloom resting on top with a light glint. In the past few days Erionda had given Jun, and Kilian, permission to enter her home whenever they pleased. It was early morning and the sun had yet to rise, making it a perfect time for Erionda to catch some sleep before the heat of the day settled in. She found herself less able to sleep in the heat as the seasons pressed forward and the temperature rose. She didn't even stir as the sound of footsteps in her house echoed from the floor below.

Room 1 First die: If the number is 1-3, you encounter a Ysali dragon. If the number is 4, you encounter an Ayrala dragon. Second die: If the number is 1, you are nervous and take a 10% penalty to your luck chance. [So if your normal luck range against the dragon is 61-100, it is now 71-100. If it was 91-100, you must now roll a 100 to succeed.] If the number is 2-4, nothing happens and you fight as normal. The first room is fairly well lit with the light from the cave entrance illuminating the area. There, on the other side of the room, is a dragon! From this point, treat as a normal dragon hunt and every participant rolls to see what the result is. If you win, do you: A) Move deeper into the cave? Roll 2 4-sided dice and go to "Room 2" B) Leave? Go to "Exit" If you lose, you must RP fleeing from battle and are done with the cave. You keep any items and experience you may have found. If you have 500+ words, this may count for an RP as well as a dragon hunt. Character Stats Character: Kilian Stage: Adept Level: 22 Luck: 20

Kilian had been walking through the market that day, trying to find some much needed supplies for him and Amadia. The throng of other Magescians made Kilian a bit nervous. So many people had gathered that day. Was there some kind of an event that he didn't know about? He let out a huge breath as he heard a stall vendor start talking about a cave filled with dragons and treasure. Itching for an adventure, Kilian quickly bought up the few supplies he'd found and headed out to Erionda's place, Amadia quick on his heels. He let out a relieved sigh when he arrived there without running into trouble. The last thing he needed was to run into a dragon. He rushed into her house, half expecting her to be up already. "Erionda!" He called out to her, hoping she was in her house and would hear him. When he got no response he peeked his head out the door and looked around. No sign of her. He frowned, wondering if she was still asleep or just in a different part of the house, thoroughly distracted. With a shrug, he made his way through her house. Finally, he came upon a closed door. He crossed his arms, debating on whether to go into the room. Finally, he decided he might as well. He opened the door slowly and crept inside. Looking around, he spotted Erionda in bed asleep. He shut the door slowly and leaned against it. Kilian watched as Erionda slept. After about a minute of watching Kilian became anxious. He really wanted to tell her about the cave. As he approached her bed, his foot hit and icy spot. He cursed as his foot slipped out from under him and he fell to the floor, causing a loud thud to echo through her house. "Damn it." He mumbled as he sat up.

Her hands instinctively formed a protection as she searched the room. Letting out a sigh when she realized it was Kilian and not Alpha or Beta. Her hands relaxed, shifting her feet from the bed to the floor. "You sure can be a clutz." She mumbled sleepily. Trying to re position her tunic. In the excitement part of her tunic had slipped off her shoulder, and while nothing was reveled. Erionda was sure it wasn't lady like to show so much skin. Reaching out she offered Kilian a hand up. "What's going on? Is the battle worse?" Erionda wasn't sure that peace had really been settled after they had taken Alpha away. To her it felt more like the eye of the storm. Mixed with the calm before. Whatever was coming, she was sure it would be far worse than what they had already seen. Her eyes seemed worried as she searched Kilians face. "Rio! Rio. Uassae found thing!" Lanzecki squabbled as he burst into the bedroom followed by the larger Drakein. "Big long thing" To emphasize his point, Lanzecki extended both his wings out as far as they could go. "Thing bigger this!" He chattered vocally. Sending images through his bond. "What he means." Uassae drawled out unamused. "Is that we found this cave, and it looks like it leads somewhere. It would be a good idea to search it, just in case your fears come true and we need a place to hide." He glanced sideways at Kilian. "Especially if everyone turns out to be what we expect." Erionda glanced at Uassae with a puzzled expression. Shrugging it off she turned to Kilian. "Would you like to come. I know I'll feel safer with you there." She gave a brief smile before turning to gather up her clothes and weapon. Slipping them on over her tunic, reaching around to strap her last peace into place with the leather fastening. Her sword and shield strapped into place. "Hurry! Hurry!" Lanzecki squeaked excitedly, moving to push the Hybrid and Oblivionite from the room and out of the house. "This way!" He chanted checking back every few steps to make sure Rio was following. The place Uassae and Lanzecki had led Rio sent another shiver down her spine as she paused. She wasn't sure she could enter another cave. Lanzecki's nudge startled Erionda. Reacting without thinking, Erionda's hand moved to grab onto the Taller Magescians arm. A few seconds passed before she realized what she was doing. Blushing furiously, Rio quickly let go and moved towards the cave entrance. Her movements were stiff. Slow as she tried to appear confident, Kilian had seen her weakness the night before. Smiling slightly at the reminder of a soft tingle on her lips, she glanced back to see if Kilian was following her into the cave. The path was long and steep, and the further down they went the mossier the room grew. Rio silently wished for a source of light. The first room they entered was slightly lit by strange glowing moss. Almost entranced by the scene, a soft snoring sound caused the already tense hybrid to react. Her magic formed and struck out at the sleeping Ysali. Killing it instantly. Two orbs appeared in its place. "What just happened?" Erionda asked innocently.

Kilian held out his hand and gripped Erionda's, pulling himself up off the floor. He smiled slightly at her comment about him being clutzy. He really wasn't, usually. Everything about her threw him off balance though and he just couldn't seem to help it. He opened his mouth to tell her about what he'd heard when her two drakeins burst into the room. Frowning, he listened to them talk. Was this the same cave he had heard about in town? Kilian gave Uassae a look at the comment he had made. Did the drakein really not trust him still? He was jolted out of his thoughts when he felt Lanzecki's nose nudge him. "Fine, fine. I'm moving." He laughed out as he walked out of her bedroom and into the main living area. Amadia stuck her head inside the door. "So are we going?" She asked of Kilian, looking as hopeful as Lanzecki was acting. He shook his head. "Yes, we're going." He smiled down at Erionda. "That's actually what I came in to tell you about. There's a rumor about a cave in the desert. Maybe it's this one." He shrugged as he grabbed his gear and they headed out. It didn't take long for them to arrive at their destination. Kilian stood staring at the cave entrance. It was completely different from the one that had been in the mountain side leading to that horrid place. The memories made a shudder run through his body. He jerked slightly as Erionda laid her hand on his arm. He watched as Erionda moved to enter the cave, knowing that it had to be hard for her to enter such a place again so soon. "Rio.." Kilian mumbled. He admired her courage. As they entered the cavern a soft snore echoed through the damp environment. Before Kilian could react, Erionda's magic shot through the cavern. He watched as the magic struck the dragon and killed it. Amadia ran over to where the dragon had been laying and sniffed at the ground. She quickly used her nose to nudge over both the orbs. "Ysali." She said quitely. Kilian looked over at Erionda. "Looks like you killed a dragon." He reached his hand down and entangled his fingers with her's. "Stay calm. I'm here." He whispered as he let go of her hand and bent down to retrieve both orbs for them. "Shall we head on or do you want to go back?" He asked her as he handed one of the orbs to her.

The dark cavern didn't bode well against her sanity. She could feel the deep dark parts of her mind reacting to the pressure of anxiety, and fear from the events she had survived. Biting the inside of her lower lip with another shiver, her eyes darting about as she heard Kilians Keindred speak. A dragon? She had killed a dragon? There was nothing wrong with that. A slight bit of hope lit her mind. She had reacted so quickly, with her dimmed eyesight still trying to adjust to the darkness. What is she had hit her Drakein or even Kilian? As if reaction to her thoughts she felt his hands weave against her's. She squeezed his hand in return. Thankful for the bit of contact pulling her sanity back to her. Letting out a low sigh of relief, quickly sucking in air again as his hand pulled away from her. He kept her feeling safe. "I could have hit you..." Erionda muttered. Reaching out to take her orb from him and tuck it into Uassae's side pack. She twitched at the mention of going back. She wasn't sure she wanted to go on, some part of her remembered Kilians enjoyment in battles. If this cave proved to be full of dragons, how could she deny him such a thrill? He had done so much for her, she owed it to him to brave the cave. With him by her side she felt a little more confident in her stride. "W-we can keep going..." Erionda nodded.

He was glad that he brought it. It seemed that the rumors were true. He wondered if there would be more dragons in the cave and if they'd all be Ysali. He was thankful for his sight and being able to see well enough in the dark. It was fuzzy, but still there. He let out a sigh as he looked down at Erionda as she spoke softly. "You didn't and you won't. I trust you." Kilian said as he slipped his hand back into her's, giving it a light squeeze. He nodded at her last words. "If you're sure." The traveled farther into the cave system, having only one tunnel to choose to travel through the whole way. Soon, the cramped in space of the tunnel gave way to a larger cavern. On the other side was another tunnel, leading deeper into the cave system. "Just how far does this cave go?" He asked to no one in particular. Amadia's growls drew Kilian's attention back to the tunnel on the other side. Another Ysali dragon came bounding towards them. He pushed Erionda behind him, keeping his hand in her's. Kilian quickly grabbed one of his daggers with his free hand and flung it in the Ysali's direction, puncturing it in the heart and causing it to drop in midleap. The dragon burst into dust and two more Ysali orbs fell to the ground.

[If your normal luck range is 61-100, it is now 71-100. If it is normally 91-100, you must now roll a 100 to succeed.] The rooms slowly grow darker as you continue to progress into the cave system. Erionda was glad for the darkness. It would be easier to hide the blush once again dusting her cheeks. He was so nice to her, so trusting of her. It was so foreign to her in every way. The contact was welcoming and yet terrifying. Jumping at a sound off to the right, Erionda tensed. Quickly relaxing as Kilians hand found hers again. Giving a soft squeeze in return, Rio allowed him to keep her hand. For the time being it gave her a sense of security in the dark and forbidding cavernous tunnels. Following closely behind Kilian who proceeded through the tunnels. Her heart smashing against her rib cage as she focused on the hand in front of her. Her free hand held tightly against her chest. As if she were trying to keep her heart from exploding out. Rio relaxed a little with each step. Her eyes slowly moving about the tunnels around her. They seemed to go on forever. Looking towards Kilian as he spoke, Rio only blinked. She didn't have an answer for him and didn't want to fill the silence with unnecessary noise. In case it would break whatever spell they were under. Closing her eyes and cringing inward as Kilian stopped. Rio braced herself, prepared for impact with his sudden stop. It never came, he was already shifting her behind him. Grinding her teeth Rio stared into the dark. She wasn't this weak! Sure she had been knocked out by another hybrid. And maybe her eyes were not able to see quite so well in the dark. But that didn't mean she had to hide, right? Just as she was about to step around Kilian and squint into the dark, Lanzecki filled the small area. "Just Ysali." He responded as if he was disappointed! Erionda thought, giving Kilians hand another squeeze. All dragons deserved death. Even the Ysali. They had been what had killed her parents. Left her an orphan. Left her alone. "A Ysali is a dragon. All dragons should be killed." The female hybrid grumbled. Trying to see into the dark. The light from the tunnel entrance was starting to dim out now. And she wasn't sure how much farther she would be able to go before she would have to rely on her sense of touch alone. "Where to now?" Erionda asked, sounding as if she could easily see a tunnel up ahead. Or maybe two? Either way, she wasn't going to let on she couldn't see.

23(15/23)/2 = 7.5 exp (round up to 8) 8 + 1 = 9 exp +1 Ayrala Orb Kilian grinned in the dark. The fierceness in her voice when she told her opinion about dragons aloud made him feel closer to her. It seemed that they both shared some bad history with dragons. He'd never show one mercy and he knew, from what she had said, she wouldn't either. His grin turned into a frown when she asked where they should go next. Kilian looked across the cavern at the other tunnel. Could she not see well in this dark? Or did she want to leave? He wondered as he looked back at the tunnel behind them. "C'mon!" Amadia squeaked as she bounded off towards the tunnel opposite of them, her eyesight lending to her being able to see well enough in the darkness. A spark leaped into the darkness as they crossed the cavern. It seemed Amadia's magic was becoming stronger. Shaking his head, Kilian chuckled under his breath as he bent to scoop up the orbs and his dagger he had thrown. "Shall we?" He asked of her as he slipped his hand back into her's and led them into the tunnel. Amadia, excited for their adventure, bounded down the tunnel ahead of them. As they neared the end, a gust of wind blew Kilian's dreads behind him. Strange, wind being down here. He thought to himself. Just as he finished the thought, Amadia corrected him. Not a wind. Dragon! She growled through their connectioni. He felt her as she seemed to leap in the air for an attack. "Amadia!" Kilian yelled as he hurried them out of the tunnel and into what seemed to be another dragon nest. "Damn." Kilian muttered as he saw Amadia clinging to the back of the Ayrala's neck with her teeth. Her claws dug into it's skin as it tossed it's head back and forth, trying to dislodge her. He let go of Erionda's hand and shot off towards the dragon, pulling his daggers out of their sheaths. It didn't take long, in and instant he was on the dragon and stabbing both daggers up and into it's neck. With one last gurgled roar, the dragon fell to the ground and burst into dust, leaving behind two orbs. He bent down to retrieve them and give Amadia pat on the head. "Good job." He said as he returned to Erionda's side.

Keeping her hand held in Kilians. She would be willing to continue on. Lanzecki snorted shifting to trot up the tunnel after Amadia, she wasn't supposed to be the drakein leading them. That was his job! Not hers. What a horrible show stealing Female! Growling as he moved after her. His feet carried him quickly up to her side before passing her. With a chirping laugh he sped ahead into the next room. The Keindred hardly noticed the shift in the wind until he found himself face to face with the creature. Dramatically flailing his wings in an attempt to back up, he was shocked by Amadia's swiftness. Grumbling about how dare she once again. Lanzecki too lept against the dragons side. His claws and teeth digging into the dragon had little effect. Wind against wind only nullified their attacks. Gratefully stashing this orb into a pouch at her side Erionda took a deep breath. Slowly gaining the courage to move deeper into the caverns. With the light disappearing as it was Rio wondered what could possibly lay ahead and just how far down they would have to go. Biting her lip out of habit she watched Amadia and Lanzecki disappear. "Now where are they-" She was interrupted by Kilian call out to his Drakein. Finally noticing the shift in the speed of wind. Narrowing her eyes dangerously, Erionda scowled at the dragon. This one was only slightly tougher than the Ysali, but her experience with them were not pleasant. And even worse when connected with Kilian. With the release of her hand Erionda reached behind her to withdraw her sword. She wasn't going to let this one cause Kilian any more danger than he had suffered in the past. Gripping her hilt and shifting her stance, Rio's eyes opened in disbelief as Kilian swiftly felled the dragon. So it was a game now was it? Forgetting her fear for the moment Rio laughed at the dragons demise. Accepting the Ayrala orb with a slight smile. "I could have done better." She teased turning her head to look down the next tunnel entrance. "And I'll prove it!" Turning on her heals Erionda stalked down the next tunnel. Her hair swaying from side to side as she moved. Her hand flicking her hair over her shoulder as it settled neatly against her back. She wouldn't let him kill more dragons than she could while they were out. It just wasn't allowed. She was the stronger of the two. Wasn't she? Shaking the slight hesitation from her mind, she held her sword close. Pausing as she stared at what lay ahead of them in the next tunnel.

If the number is 2, you seem to have triggered an old spell and your movement is slowed. Your luck chance is now reduced by 20%. [If your normal luck range is 61-100, it is now 81-100.] If the number is 3, nothing happens and you fight as normal. If the number is 4, you have encountered a Bognotti instead of a dragon. See "Creatures" below to see stats. You still fight just like in a dragon hunt, only against the creature instead of a dragon. Continuing into the cave system, the walls now start to glisten with moisture where the light hits them. Shadows are becoming darker and more prevalent, but the overall light level is still that of early evening. From this point, treat as a normal dragon hunt and every participant rolls to see what the result is. Kilian's sockets widened at her comment. Could have done better? He frowned a bit until he heard the teasing note in her voice. Grateful to know that her fears had lessened he bent to scoop up the other two orbs. As he bent, he was distracted from his task by Erionda walking by him. He grabbed the orbs and straightened up in time to see her disappear down the next tunnel. He chuckled and shook his head as he followed after her. Finally, he caught back up to her towards the end of the tunnel. A loud roar echoed through the caves and the hairs on Kilian's body stood on end. Amadia whimpered and backed away from the tunnel exit. Seemingly too afraid to continue on. Kilian looked back at his Kiendred and frowned. Squaring his shoulders, he pushed himself to go into the next cavern. Standing before them, angrier than the ones they had defeated already, was a Kiandri dragon. He cursed as he brought his daggers out of their sheaths yet again. "Looks like things are getting a bit more interesting." He said to Erionda as he shot off into the cavern to face the dragon. He side stepped the tail the beast swung at him and sliced into the dragon's side with one of his daggers, causing the beast to roar and turn on him, putting it's back to Erionda and the tunnel.

LOL even with a reduction like that their luck is still 6 -100 Erionda's stats Character: Erionda STAGE: Apprentice LVL: 30 LUK: 31 Drakein with her: Lanzecki Uassae Win Winning stats 30 (25/30)/2 = 13 Exp 11 + 13 = 24 No luck exp level is too high Erionda Gains 1 Kiandri Orb Lanzecki watched Amadia with a smile. She was scared of a simple roar? Ruffling his wings pleasantly, he raised his tail into the air and trotted on inside. His eyes grew wide at the sight of the large dragon. The last time he had found himself face to face with Kiandri, it wasn't just one. But 10 of them! They had all been trying to kill him and if it wasn't for Rio he would have likely died. Giving a soft whimper, the younger Keindred backed up into Uassae who stood not far behind the entire group. The large Drakein wasn't in a playful mood today, having lagged behind everyone with little interest in the adventure so far. Everything was far to easy to kill, and the Kiandri was only further proof of that. Erionda had yet to fail against one of them. And had quickly dubbed her the nightmare in the sand. Scratching his hind legs into the ground with boredom, he let loose a loud roar. He wanted to see just how well his Hybrid companion would dispatch the creature. Erionda's face broke into a large grin. A Kiandri was it? This was an easy kill for her. Finding the situation somewhat humorous Rio let her head fall back as laughter rushed out of her like flowing water. These creatures were too easy to dispatch. Her laughter was cut short when she noticed Kilian burst ahead of her. "Oh no you don't." Erionda chucked racing towards the dragon in her own way. As the dragon's back was turned to her Erionda couldn't help but grin more. These silly Kiandri couldn't watch their backs for the life of them. Not that his one had life to cling to several minutes later. The tail Kilian had expertly dodged paused just long enough for Erionda to jump on. Gripping her sword with her right hand. Erionda's speed increased as she bolted up the dragons tail. Licking her lips as she continued up the dragons back side, she slipped. The creature had moved suddenly and unexpectedly for Erionda's attack. Swinging her sword in a last ditch effort, she quickly delt it a finalizing blow the same time Kilians daggers cut through it's flesh. Squeaking as she tumbled to the ground amidst the crumbling dragon dust. She winced as she landed on two Kaindri orbs. Rubbing her back side as she shifted them out from under her. " That's two for each of us." She mused pushing herself to her feet to offer the orbs to Kilian. Stashing her own orb away, Erionda grinned. "Well that was fun. Kiandri have such a weak point they can't help but fall victim to my blade." Giggling as she moved to brush off the dust remains from her gear. "I wonder if the dragons keep growing in strength from here on in?" Wanting to see, Erionda turned and continued on head. Uassae stepping over Lanzecki and Amadai as he moved to follow behind the hybrid. Snorting Lanzecki quickly tagged along. Not sure what to make of Erionda's constant accomplishment against the Kiandri. Was it always just luck?

Facing dragons and dealing blows to them sent a great deal of joy coursing through his veins. It never got old for him. He was about to turn around and slice into the dragon again when he saw the dust floating down through the air. He turned just in time to see Erionda land on her butt on the ground. He chuckled a bit at the sight as he laid one of his daggers on his shoulder and placed his other hand on his hip. The longer they spent in here, fighting dragons, the more she seemed to gain her confidence and courage back. Kilian smiled at her as he took his orb from her. "Guess there's only one way to know." He said as he trailed behind her, curious about this as well. "C'mon Amadia." Kilian yelled for his companion. After a bit of reluctance, she bounded off after the two. However, she stayed back behind them the whole way through the tunnel.

Room 5 First die: If the number is 1, you encounter an Ayrala dragon. If the number is 2-3, you encounter a Kiandri dragon. If the number is 4, you encounter a Firani dragon Second die: If the number is 1-2, nothing happens and you fight as normal. If the number is 3, you feel especially brave and daring and your luck chance is increased by 10%. [So if your normal luck range is normally 61-100, it is now 51-100. You cannot go below 6-100, though.] If the number is 4, the dragon roars and any Bonded Drakein quake in fear. (No change to your luck chance, but any Bonded Drakein cannot be RPed as helping during this fight.)The air grows damper as you continue on, a few small puddles appearing on the floor from time to time, especially in lower laying areas and against walls. This room has several large stalagmites jutting from the floor. As they continued through the tunnel Erionda could feel the temperature change. The light was now becoming very dim for her, and she found herself squinting into the distance. In places the very walls themselves seemed to have teeth along the edges. Stalagmites and Stalactites, lined the edges of the wall. Sniffing she could smell the moisture of stagnant water. The air despite the staleness, was actually far more tolerable than the sands above them. Giggling as Uassae's snout moved up against her ear. He sniffed, sending the small tufts of hair around her ears in a floating motion. As if he were tickling her. Rio's hand rose to brush the side of his scaled hide. Even he was a great comfort to her. Smiling back at Kilian, Erionda stuck out her tongue playfully before picking up her pace. Determined to beat him to the next dragon.
