Erionda sat with her feet dangling over the face of the rocky cliff. Her sword lay beside her against a shield. Lanzecki dozed off to the right with a soft yawn, his eyes closed tightly against the wind. His wings covered two small sacks where Erionda held the orbs she had earned. Uassae curled around behind Erionda with his head snuggled into her lap against her abdomen. It was the most comfortable position the trio found themselves in.
Erionda's mind wandered back to the hybrids she had met not too long ago. One was of her blood type the other had been mixed with Oblivionite. But she didn't seem to resemble Kilian closely. Perhaps, just like Dovaa and Orderites, variation existed within the Oblivionite's as well.
A strong gust of wind pushed Erionda's hair over her shoulders. Her stare over the land before her softened at the thought of Kilian. What a strange Oblivionite. She thought to Uassae and Lanzecki. I expected trouble, to follow that day but nothing had. Reaching out she gave Uassae a light scratching motion over his eye ridges.
Uassae snorted but kept silent, focusing his pleasure not on Rio's thoughts. Rather on the tender caress Erionda gave him. The shifting of several rocks behind her caused Erionda to whip her head around to face whatever had stumbled upon her and the Drakeins.
Dual colored eyes widened, fighting back a smile as they settled on Kilian. Her heart pulsed skipped and pulsed again. This wasn't right! He was an Oblivionite! And a pureblood! Her eyes dropped to the ground briefly before rising again to meet his gaze. He was a pureblood and she just a pathetic Hybrid! What was she doing getting all excited over his appearance.
Shifting she pulled herself to her feet, swallowing against the flush in her cheeks. "Kilian?" Erionda muttered taking a step forward. Pausing at the screaming call of an oncoming dragon.

Kilian had decided to travel to Ayr for some much needed training. Amadia sauntered beside him, always close at hand now a days. There wasn't too many places he went alone anymore. His hand absently ran over her head, giving a light scratch. An old habit he had picked up last time he had been on Serenia.
Ah, the thought of Serenia and that day took him back. He stopped and closed his hollow eyes as he raised his head towards the sky. The blindfold from his childhood still adorned his face.
Kilian sighed as the wind of the island whipped through his newly formed dreads. "Lets go Amadia." As he moved forward, rocks crunched under his feet and his eyes fell onto a figure sitting on an out cropping of rocks. Kilian's breath caught in his throat. He wasn't sure but he could swear it was Erionda. He was hesitant. He could tell that she was at least of Dovaa origins. Was it really her?
Kilian looked down at Amadia, ready to ask for confirmation from the Drakein. However, before the question could be formed, he heard his name called out. His head snapped up and he met the mismatched eyes he had come to know on Serenia. "Hello." Kilian said in response. He rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a little awkward for some reason. What was this feeling?
He started to walk over closer to her so he wouldn't have to raise his voice. The wind had picked up and the noise from it made it hard to be heard. The screech of a dragon near by made Kilian's head snap up and to the sky. In that instant, he realized why the wind had picked up. "What a way to meet, huh?" Kilian looked back down at Erionda. "Up for a hunt?" A smirk flitted across his face.
Though he'd only met her once, he felt he could trust Erionda. There was just something about the female. He didn't trust many, especially not this quickly. He certainly hadn't trusted them enough to go into battle with them. The only one that had battled with him was Amadia.

So the Oblivionite was able to recognize her just as easily. Erionda smiled inwardly at the realization but kept her thoughts carefully to herself. Taking another step forward, Erionda slipped thick strands of hair behind her ear. Her eyes lingering on Kilians, freezing in place before shifting to Amadia and back again. The edges of her lips twisted into a smirked smile before fading just as quickly.
Uassae grunted with the disturbance, his blue eyes fixated on Kilian warningly. Neither Drakein bonded to Erionda really trusted Kilian yet, letting that slight distrust echo into the hybrid herself.
Erionda had become accustomed to being hunted, hated, attacked at every turn. She had yet to meet anyone more than twice, yet here was the Oblivionite. On Ayr! She had come here hunting the Ayrala dragons with her companions a while ago and had only managed to kill one of the wind based creatures. All the other's had been quick attacking and leaving in a single instant. Never sticking around for another attack or a response from her.
Nodding at Kilians offer, Erionda bent over to gather up her sword and shield. "A hunt would be a perfect way to account for this horrible wind. I hope you can keep up." Erionda gave a slight laugh, waking Lanzecki from his slumber. His light chirruping babble gave rise to another screech from the Aryala not far off.
Shifting into a battle postion, Erionda motioned towards the screeching sound. Shifting her feet in the rocky surface, the hybrid started towards the sound. Her sword raised to strike.

"I think I can handle keeping up with you." Kilian teased back at Erionda. "I did pretty well back on Srenia." He smiled as he reached to his waist to pull his dual, split daggers out of their sheath. His newly acquired weapons were already like a second pair of arms for him. He went no where without them unless forced to do so. He twirled the slightly longer than normal dagger in his right hand and watched as Erionda took off.
Kilian took off after Erionda, his long legs enabling him to quickly catch up with the hybrid. This was the first time that Kilian was hunting an Ayrala dragon. He'd not hunted anything other than an Ysali before. He hoped that he would not embarrass himself by failing to hunt down the dragon.
It didn't take long before they caught up with the screeching dragon. In fact, it seemed more like the dragon caught up with them. They swerved and both jumped in the opposite direction of each other just as the dragon swooped down, out of the air, forcing the wind around it outwards and knocking into Kilian and Erionda.
Kilian dug his feet into the rocky ground, doing his best to keep his balance. Just as Amadia was digging her claws into the ground next to Kilian. A low growl escaped the Drakein as it crouched low to the ground, readying itself for an attack and just waiting for Kilian to give the go ahead.
"Erionda!" Kilian yelled as he gained his full balance back. The dragon was now blocking his view and he couldn't see the female hybrid at the moment. Kilian twirled both his daggers around, holding them close to his arms and getting into a battle ready pose. He waited until the dragon had turned its head away from him and he lunged, bringing both his daggers down in a slashing motion and taking a chunk of flesh out of the wind beast's side.

There was little surprise to Erionda that Kilian was able to keep up. He was right that he had little trouble keeping up in their rush around Serenia. Why did she expect the winds of Ayr to be any different. Finding the dragon took little effort, the fact it was aware of her position made things complicated. Until now she had attacked the dragons off guard and survived. When they knew she was there. She didn't survive as well.
Watching as Kilian and his Drakein separated into different directions the hybrid beamed. He and the Keinling were getting closer, at least, that was how they appeared. Shifting her position Erionda raised her shield to clumsily block the dragon's wind. Her feet scuffed around in the dirt as she made a show of struggling to correct her grip on the hilt of her sword. She would have to work at creating a better escape against the swelling winds around these large beasts.
Irritated, Erionda growled lunging forward with her sword ready Erionda's blade gouged into the beast. Shifting her position so she didn't stand more than a few feet away from the dragon and Kilian. It was stronger than she had anticipated.
The great beast gave out a loud wail of pain. Bringing it's tail away from the currently attacking trio tensing for a strike. Realizing what attack was about to transpire Erionda raised her shield in order to brace for another attack. The whistling sound of air and scales as the tail closed in for an attack.

Kilian jumped back after attacking the dragon's side and let Amadia have a go. The drakein lunged and sunk it's teeth into it's tail. The dragon retaliated by throwing her into the air and to the ground a few feet away. Kilian hesitated between his companion and the hybrid he was slowly becoming close to. Amadia! Are you alright? He used his telepathic link, that had grown much stronger as the two of them had grown stronger apart.
I'm fine. The drakein snapped back. Her voice still a little awkward to hear. She had just started finding her voice when it came to talk to him through their link. It seemed as though his reluctance had kept them from sharing conversations any sooner. The reassurance from the drakein compelled Kilian to help his friend.
He turned his attention back to the dragon just in time to see the large beast readying for an attack against Erionda. He reacted in a split second as the beast's tail began to swing downwards. The force behind the swing was strong, adding the dragon's strength and the help from the wind swirling around it's body, Kilian was afraid for Erionda.
He readied his daggers as he launched himself in front of Erionda, his daggers coming up in a cross to protect them both. The wind bit at his face and blood started to seep out of tiny cuts on his arms and face. It did not matter, he had taken the brunt of the attack and that was what he had wanted. With a curse and a feral growl he brought his daggers down onto the dragon's tail, slicing a nice sized gash into the creature's flesh.

Erionda felt a faint bump against her shield. Confused, Erionda's eyes flickered up to the back of Kilians head. A couple drops of blood splattered against her cheek. Reaching up with the hand holding her sword Erionda touched the wet spots on her cheek. Her mismatched eyes widened fearfully as her fingers pulled fresh blood away from her skin. The blood was evidently not her own, her ice blue eye flashed in the light as she opened her mouth to call out to Kilian. Pausing when he made a strange growling noise before digging what appeared to be his weapons into the creatures tail.
Gripping her sword even tighter Erionda's eyes flashed up towards the dragons Maw. Uassae who had been gliding around above took notice of the motion. Lanzecki joined Kilian to hold down the creatures tail.
Together Uassae and Erionda created a cross like attack across the Ayrala dragons throat. The long double edged sword held fast into one of the creatures scales allowing her to spin around and land on top of the dragons neck. "No MORE!" She screamed. Gripping her sword tightly and yanking it forward. "You will not kill any more!"
Once the sword was free Erionda let forth a powerful scream as her ice blue eye light again. Plunging her sword into the Dragons neck a series of icicles protruded from the dragons neck. Panting Erionda realized the dragon had been preparing for a final attack. "Get out of there!" Erionda screamed both mentally and verbally.
Lanzecki took to the air as quickly as his small body could move. Bouncing as his feet moved in a hasty running motion away from the dragon. "Kilian!"

Kilian watched as Erionda moved gracefully. The fighter in her shining through. She obviously had skill and he had to admire that. He grinned as he watched her plunge her sword into the beast's neck. "That 'a girl!" Kilian roared as the tail he'd been holding down went limp.
Kilian's joy soon dissipated soon, however. Get out of here Amadia! He shoved the order into the drakein's mind, giving her no other option but to obey. He shoved the dragon's tail out of the way and shoved himself off of the ground, putting all his strength into that one leap. It was almost as if things were in slow motion. He watched as the dragon's last attack came closer and closer to Erionda. "NO!" He growled out as he wrapped his arms around the female hybrid and took the brunt of the dragon's clawed attack to his back.
Kilian sucked in his breath as they fell to the ground. He rolled over, so as not to harm Erionda and landed on his back. The pain that shot through him was paralyzing but he only gritted his teeth. Amadia wailed at the pain she felt herself. His pain was her's. Kilian laid on the ground, not moving an inch as the dragon slowly began to turn to dust, leaving behind orbs for each of them to collect.

Erionda lacked interest int the glowing objects. The only reminder of the fight were strange blood splattering and the dust around the orbs. She had been completely shocked at Kilian's first proximity. Touch was not something she was accustomed to unless it was followed quickly by splitting pain. She felt the tight arms around her. Pulling her away from the dragons body, though her instincts told her to resist. To pull away, the shock of the unexpected had caused her to freeze up. She saw the approaching attack, but was unable to move. Her mind screaming for release. To avoid the devastating attack. Tears welled up in her eyes
I don't want to go like Mama, or Papa. Erionda cried into the bond with Uassae. She could feel her body falling to the ground. Her eyes closed tightly, her body ready for death to follow. Then came the bone crunching sound of landing on the ground. She could feel her body already starting to bruise with the impact upon Kilian. Her sword and shield were ripped from her hands.
Gasping from the winded attack, Erionda slowly tried to roll off of Kilian. Struggling through the pain in her chest to fix the displacement of air. Aware of Amadia's call in the distance and the emotions triggered through Lanzecki Erionda pulled her knees up under her.
Gazing down at Kilian, Erionda felt the warm fluid of blood start to flood around her fingers. "No..." She muttered quietly, reaching down to check Kilians pulse at his neck. The flicker was light. Shaking her head in a panic to clear her mind Erionda leaned forward. "Forgive me."
Mentally calling for Uassae, Erionda scanned him over. Removing the blindfold from his eyes and the cloth around his hair. She had to bandage the wounds and quickly. Using her teeth, the hybrid began shredding all but the band over his eyes. "Please let this work." Erioinda pleaded, her voice barely audible as she began to bandage the wounds.
Uassae landed not far away and trudged forward. He's dying, let the Oblivionite be. It was his own fault putting himself in danger like that. Uassae scoffed mentally. His eyes focused in almost a pleased fashion as they scanned over Kilians body.
No! I will not let him die. I wouldn't have been this uninjured if it wasn't for him.
You both would have gotten away if it wasn't for him. Uassae snapped in return.
You can fix this. Erionda growled her eyes flicking from Drakein to Oblivionite. You just have to, he's the first one other than Arick who wasn't a half breed to care enough to put himself in the way. That has to count for something!
Uassae snorted as he pushed his muzzle disdainfully against Kilians side. "He's lucky I'm bonded to you." Uassae muttered allowed, letting his healing magic flow freely into the boy.
Time past as Erionda's eyes shifted from one eye socket to the next. Was he like Tilawen. Where there orbs in his eyes too? Did they signal if life was held within? Subconsciously reaching out to keep her hands busy while her mind and body waited to see if Kilian would be alright, the hybrids fingers fell into Kilians loose hair. Picking up a small chunk and twirling it subconsciously. "Please don't be another killed by these beasts." Erionda pleaded.

Amadia whimpered as the order she'd been given slowly lost its hold on her. "Kil...ian..." Her words broken as she laid down next to her master, nudging his side as Uassae sent his healing powers into Kilian.
It seemed as if time passed by very slowly. Kilian had grown so cold as they had hit the ground but now a warmth was spreading through his body and he was slowly becoming aware of his surroundings again. A warm body was laying close to him. Amadia...? Kilian's voice, even in his head, was weak. Amadia's head snapped up at the whispered voice in her head.
Kilian ached all over. The pain would be with him for a few days. He supposed, though, that the blows he'd taken had not been life threatening. After all, he was still alive, wasn't he. He slowly became aware of a hand in his hair and small voice pleading quietly. "Eri...onda?" Kilian questioned as his hand reached up for her's. "Are you alright?" His eyes flickered open, revealing nothing but empty sockets. Kilian was too worried about Erionda's state to even notice the missing blind fold at the moment.

Erionda's fingers continued to twirl a small section of hair. Her free hand flicking out to check on Kilian's pulse once again. Her body tensing with each passing second. Rio wasn't sure she could withstand the torture of someone dying before her eyes. The corner of her eye catching sight of Amadia's quick movement. Flicking her eyes towards the Drakein hoping she too wasn't expiring because her bonded was gravely injured. Before her name was spoken. Pulling her senses back towards Kilian.
Almost immediately her hand withdrew from Kilian's neck and hair, brushing for the briefest moment against his skin and palm. Scooting back a fraction and diverting her head away. She wasn't weak, she hadn't broken down enough to care for a full blooded Oblivionite. Death was a normal fact of life, it happened to everyone. Caring or not caring. Stiffening her shoulders Erionda silently pleaded he wouldn't call out to her again. Just let the silence work. Let it be all there is. Struggling to keep her breathing normal, Rio refused to look directly at Kilian. She wasn't weak. She wasn't! And then the words, no he wasn't speaking it wasn't fair!
She could feel her walls cracking. Blinking quickly to hold back tears, her eyes shot towards him. Staring at him for a fraction of a moment. "How could you! You almost killed yourself! Don't you know Dragons hit harder out here!?" Standing up and turning around to hide her face Rio crossed her arms across her chest and held her position. Will not break. Will not!
The eye band held firmly in her hand, the wind letting it flip it into view. "I wrecked your head gear." Erionda muttered, trying not to let her vulnerability show. "You needed bandages. It was all that was available."

Kilian tried to sit up but struggled. His back still stung but he didn't feel any fresh blood well up from the slashes he knew he'd taken across his back. Strange. He brought his stiff legs up and rested his forearms on them, his gaze fixed on the ground. He had not expected this reaction from the hybrid. Was she mad at him? Was it because he had saved her? Or did she just not like being touched by someone like him. Not good enough... Kilian's inner voice chimed in. She did have Orderite in her after all.
Kilian looked up as a whimper came from Amadia. A small, apologizing smile formed on the Oblivionite's face. "I'm sorry Amadia." He reached his hand out and the drakein rubbed it's nose into his palm. She then nipped at his hand in a reprimanding gesture. Do not do that again. Came her much stronger voice now. Kilian shook his head in response to command from the beast. He wasn't sure he could promise that if it meant saving Erionda again. There was just something about her and he couldn't fully wrap himself around it yet. Even if she did really hate him, he'd never let anything happen to her as long as he was around.
"I'm sorry to you too...Erionda." HIs voice was soft. "I just wanted to pro..." He let his sentence fall off. He wasn't sure either of them were ready for him to say he wanted to protect her. He couldn't even really explain why that feeling was there.
Kilian started at her soft voice. He had expected her to not talk to him anymore. He looked over to where she was standing and instantly noticed his blindfold blowing in the wind. His hand shot up as he realized that his eyes were exposed. Was that why she was mad? Had the full realization of what he truly was sunk in for her? So be it. He would not hide himself from her anymore. "I do not care about wrecked gear." He said with a slight edge to his voice. She had hurt him a little with her cold rejection she seemed to be giving him. Then, softly, he thanked her. "Thank you for helping me..." His gaze flitted back down to the ground, afraid his empty eye sockets would scare and make her hate him even more than she already did.
Kilian was use to rejection from the other races. After all, his was hated by most. It usually didn't bother him. This one, however, was different. He had thought he'd truly found a friend. Someone he could trust. Someone he could grow to like even more.
He forced himself to get up, though some of the pain increased when he did. Kilian gritted his teeth and let the pain wash over him. Amadia whimpered as she too, felt the pain. She pleaded with him to sit back down but he just brushed it off. He would not let things end like this, he couldn't. "Erionda..." He muttered her name low as he moved closer to her. She still had her back to him and he started to reach out to touch her shoulder but hesitated. She had clearly shown that she did not like to be touched. A pang shot through his chest at that thought. "I am truly sorry for all of this." He said as his arm fell to his side and his gaze fell to the ground.
The last words he spoke were whispered so low he wasn't sure if she'd hear them. "Please don't be mad..." He'd never pleaded for anything in his life. For her to forgive him, though, he'd get on his knees.

Her name had been spoken! The walls holding her defenses broke a little, the tears she had been holding back spilled over. Spinning around on the spot Erionda hands balled into fists at her side. "You stupid Oblivionite! "I'm just a Hybrid! You shouldn't be apologizing to me, an you shouldn't be moving about that much either." Her voice echoed around the caverns surrounding them. Her face flushed before she began to shove her emotions back under the surface. Back into control.
her multi colored eyes bore into Kilians hallow ones. So unlike Tilawens eyes, orbs did not exist in the hallow eyes of a pure blood. It was interesting and luminous at the same time in it's own way. Her fingers twitched with the desire to touch and see if his eyes really were hallow. Her manners told her otherwise. Her eyes grew wide as she remembered the head band in her hands. "Do you wear this to keep things out of your eyes? Erionda asked, her tone evening out with the effort of concealing her momentary outburst. The hybrid stretched forth her hand to return the fabric she was holding.
"Look I don't think it's a good idea to stay on Ayr. Feel free to look me up on Eowyn if you ever visit it. And if you get better." Erionda turned faintly to the side. She felt horrid for the Oblivionite's injuries and didn't want to stick around to cause him any more trouble. "Maybe use the water on your back, you know the stuff from Serenia. If your cousin didn't use it all."
It wasn't like Erionda to show concern for a strangers well being. Flicking her matted hair over her shoulder Erionda gave a flick of her hand as a wave. "I best be going. I still need to spend time training Lanzecki." The hybrid turned as Uassae bent his wings against his body and lowered his head to pick up one of the two orbs. The trio then moved away into the cliff like rocks and out of view.
