The longer she searched, the more frustrated she grew, and the more frustrated she grew, the more irritated she became. She'd been tracking them for the last few hours, and she couldn't figure out where the dragon's had gone. Locating the trail once more, Erionda darted off into the rocky hills again. The sun was starting to set burning oranges and reds on the horizon. The hybrid bit her bottom lip as she intercepted another worried glance from the Keinling. He didn't have to speak for her to know what he was thinking. He was just as scared as she was. She only prayed that Lanzecki didn't sense hers.
One of the baby dragon's had stupidly snatched up Erionda's sack. The sack containing her two dragon orbs. And then the chase had begun, but she had been confused why the dragon had stolen her orbs. Erionda didn't want to think about it too deeply. Maybe she was scared of what she'd discern if she dug too deep. The rising edges of hysteria were lurking close, but she had to keep her composure. One of those orbs had been the very cost of Kilian's life. It was not something she was going to loose. She was going to keep fighting for it.
A snarl erupted from the shadows near the shale wall Erionda slowly turned her head to pin the baby dragon with an irate glare. Beyond her limits, beyond reason, almost beyond the ability to control her own emotions, the hybrid pivoted, waited, bearing her teeth as the baby Ayrala slipped out of the shadows.
Erionda didn't hesitate. Baby or not that sack was hers. Drawing Abish from it's sheath Erionda burst forward the blade slicing clean through the dragons muzzle. Separating the bag from the sudden pile of ash and orb. She didn't regret killing the baby. Stealing from her had earned it that result.
Picking up the orb Erionda stuffed it into the bag and stormed off.
