Played by: Lady_Ourania Name: Rime if male; Atropa if female. Gender (optional): N/A, but will be playing as male. RP examples (optional): These are more recent examples: xxx About: Serious and calculating even as a foal, Rime is the type to gather information in order to strategize before acting. Despite his size, he can be very quiet, and will not speak his mind unless he deems it necessary. However, his curiosity tends to outpace any stunted sense of empathy he holds, and he has trouble relating to those not of his bloodline. He understands that his position as a terrifying example of Kalona purity grants him certain benefits that he might not otherwise enjoy, and pities those outliers who have to overcome their tainted heritage. Lessers are a subject of interest to him, but few would willfully seek out the kind of attention he has to offer. As he grows older, his thirst for knowledge will threaten to take a dark turn, his natural inquisitiveness driving him to less socially acceptable forms of research. Plots Essential Acquisitions - Wondering at the motivations of Nightshade's "pets," he will question them in brief, and potentially attempt to obtain his own beasts of burden, including those he might engage in research, either as associates or "specimens." A New Kind of Predator - I'd like for him to encounter the twin dragon-kalona, Ereshkigal and Tiamat, and weather their contempt regarding the state of Kalona "purity." Whether his own twin would be involved or not would be at the discretion of their player, but it might be entertaining for a twins vs twins dust up. Twins in Body, if Not in Mind - Rime tries to introduce his twin to his way of thinking, and potentially pull them into the current of his experiments as they approach adulthood. Depending on the twin's personality and preferences, they might become partners, or grow apart as their paths diverge. Minute Measures - His studies will eventually lead Rime to explore the components that make Kalona superior, which includes investigating what causes Lessers to be weak. Initial psychological tests won't provide enough information to suit his taste, however, and he will turn to more thorough, physical trials. Subjects are less likely to have a say in their participation. Dissections and (if left unchecked) vivisections are likely to follow.

Ives was... not what he'd expected. The Lesser's presence seemed a constant of sorts, zipping from place to place or keeping an eye on them at mother's discretion. He rarely questioned his assignments, content to do as he was told and keep his head down in the interim. The goat that accompanied him was also something of a mystery. What need did a pet have of a pet? But that anomaly registered as secondary to the question of Ives' loyalty, and where he fit in the dynamic of the family.
Rime resolved to watch the stallion surreptitiously at first, a peripheral examination that afforded him some basic findings. Despite the obvious lack of physically intimidating features - no wings or natural armor to pad his vulnerable spine; a tail composed purely of hair and without immediate purpose; blunt, herbivorous teeth and the kind of bold pelt coloration that would attract notice to them - he never appeared overtly wary around he and his siblings. Indeed, he seemed to take his position for granted in many ways, though Rime had no doubt that it was a precarious one. Mother had advised tolerance among her pets, but meat was meat. If it came down to it, Ives was soft, and readily available. Yet Rime knew that such musings were idle, the product of free time during lessons where his siblings struggled to understand the merits of Ives' lessons. Today was refresher course in herbs and poisonous plants, what could heal and what could hurt. Rime found it engaging enough, though the interruptions made it difficult to absorb the material to any lasting effect.
Ives appeared to be at the end of his patience as well, brow furrowed as he was talked over for the third time in as many minutes. His siblings clearly placed more emphasis on being prime hunters than herbology. And to a point, he couldn't really blame them. Single-mindedness aside, they were apex predators, and gathering flowers and roots seemed a waste of their potential, not to mention their time.
As the only one intent on categorizing the strange Lesser, Rime was the first to notice the way his features smoothed, a smile surfacing from some private joke. "Let's go over here a moment, shall we?" He used his greater bulk to herd them, though cleverly keeping out of range of snapping teeth and spaded tail. Rime knew better than to deliberately injure one of his mother's playthings, but accidents did happens, and they were still awkward in their newfound adolescence.
They did not go far, Ives' awareness of their collective dwindling patience doing him credit. After ducking a few low-hanging boughs, he brought them to a stop before a low patch of greenery, its matte leaves swaying slightly in the breeze. Small, trumpet-shaped flowers perched on the branches, their petals a compelling dusky purple that immediately drew the eye. Ives waited until they were assembled in a semi-circle to begin speaking, and Rime wondered if he knew his voice took on another quality when he was mid-lecture. "Anyone know what this is called?"
Silence reigned, uncomfortable and verging on irritated. Ives took pity on them and continued in patient tones, "This, kids, is not a plant to be taken lightly. It may look innocuous, but don't let appearances fool you. The leaves, the flowers, the berries - every part of it can and will kill you. The roots are especially deadly. If you're ever in a situation where brute strength won't suffice, and you need another way to bring your enemy low, this plant has unlimited potential when it comes to assisting you. If you coat your tail in the juice from the berries, it'll affect you a little, but break the skin of your enemy with it, and it will hurt them a great deal. Mix the petals in with their food source, and they'll perish within a matter of hours. Grind the roots into a fine powder - carefully - and you can fling it into your opponent's eyes."
Rime stared at the plant, amazed at its potency. As a Kalona adult, he would be big enough and strong enough that such instruction might not matter, but there was a subtlety to Ives' suggestions that he could appreciate. "Anyone want to guess its name now?" Ives asked, tone faintly teasing. The siblings look up at him as one, expectant. Ives smirked, waiting a beat before answering his own question. "A plant this lethal could only be called Nightshade."
An answering grin rife with teeth split Rime's maw, oddly pleased as he gazed upon his mother's namesake. Every inch of it embodied her own killer instinct. Pretty, poisonous, and of a multitude of uses, he felt a certain kinship to it. And it forced him to amend his previous train of thought. Ives' instruction might not have appealed to his siblings, but it had its uses, even among hunters of their ilk.

She’s constantly exploring and trying to understand what makes the world tick. She’s also, oddly enough, a perfectionist. Everything she does, she has to keep doing until it’s absolutely perfect. When she decided to learn about a plant, she would glean every bit of information about it that she could. She would study the plant until she could recognize it blindfolded in the dark. Then she would experiment with it to see how it would affect various things. She doesn’t experiment on herself, of course, but that was what Mama’s pets were for, right? Right.
Her perfectionist tendencies and curiosity go along with a one track mind, which would make her seem somewhat… obsessive… when she gets an idea in her head. Plots - The first time she meets someone who isn't brought to her by her parents, Caladium will want to learn everything about them. Taking what she learned from her parents and combining it with the outside would would be an interesting way to see how she handles strangers.
- Eventually, Caladium is going to learn that some plants are poisonous, this is going to lead her down a new path of exploring that. Whether she becomes something like an alchemist or more like a serial killer will depend on how she learns about poisons.

Caladium was starting to feel cramped in her basket. There used to be plenty of room for her to wiggle around, but now no matter how she shifted she was pressed in on. It was enough to make her want to scream with frustration. Then there were the sights… or rather lack thereof. There was nothing to see, except the faint light coming in through the minute cracks in the weaving. She could hear, though. The voices of her mother, her father, and others who seemed… well, less important. But they were new, which was enough to spike her curiosity.
She wanted out! She wanted to explore the world that was surely big enough to fit her. Maybe even bigger. She wanted to see these things that her parents spoke about. She wanted to see what those weird chirpy things were. She wanted to learn. She had the vague idea that there were other baskets nearby, and she wanted to see those too. When the curiosity got to be almost painful, she tried shifting her weight and squirming some more. She wasn’t sure how she could see those things…
Unless there was a way out. She started wiggling, squirming and kicking, looking for a gap in the weaving. The light seemed to get brighter when she pushed up, so she twisted around so that she was on her back and kept kicking up.
After what seemed to be an eternity, something seemed to give. There was a strange sound, unlike any she had ever heard before and then fresh air rushed in around her. She gasped and shrieked at the unfamiliar sensation. Whether it was a happy shriek or a startled one, she wouldn’t have been able to say. The surprise at the abrupt change was quickly swamped by the thrill of excitement.
She was out! She was free! She was so going to find out what that big blue thing was!

Celestine sighed and shifted in her basket. The world as she knew it was nice and cozy. And warm. Content as she was, in a dream of shooting, bursting and sparkling lights, it came as quite a disturbance when her basket was bumped. With a grumble she shifted again, now half awake. When the bump came again it was with downright irritation that she opened an eye. How dare someone disturb her rest?! The voices that had been lulling in her dreams began to clarify themselves into words. That was when it really hit home that she was actually fully awake for the first time. Vaguely interested, but still irritated that she had been bothered, Celest settled down to watch the play of light through her basket's weave, realizing that may have been what inspired her dreams.
When she was bumped yet again she held her sigh and resolved to finally see what this interloper, whoever it was, wanted. Slowly she used the point of her nose to find the seam where the lid sat on the body of her basket. With a final longing thought of her warm quiet sanctuary she shoved and was greeted by her first vision of cave light. Cool air rushed into the opening and made shivers play along her softly downed baby hide. Her ears pricked toward the voices she had heard and turning her head she was witness to large versions of her standing watch over two others of her own size. As her eyes focused she watched as her siblings were struggling to take their first steps.
With a snort she attempted to duck back into her basket. Walking was too much work. Sleep was better. Too late. Spotted. A tiny, perfectly formed muzzle reached into her basket to poke at her. She looked straight into what could only be her twin's face with a well dramatized look of indignation. After several more encouraging nudges from them she decided, 'Fine. If it's the only way I will achieve peace, I will move.' Bumping her twin out of the way she attempted to get her gangly legs to cooperate and arrange themselves in a useful way. Quickly she discovered that there simply wasn't enough room in the basket. She definitely needed out. What had she been thinking anyway? The basket wasn't big enough to be worthy of her. Now how to leave without enough room to attempt to stand?
Realizing her only option, she steeled herself to the indignity she knew she was going to have to endure. With that, she began rocking against the side of her basket. On the third attempt the thing finally tipped over and unceremoniously dumped her onto the chilly cave floor. As quickly as she could, she righted herself and shoved her legs beneath her in an attempt to stand. Too hasty. She plopped right down, heaping yet another wound upon her pride. She looked around quickly. Everyone had been watching! Well nothing to be done for it. She studied the floor beneath her as if she had purposely fallen to closer inspect it. Then she lifted her chin and very purposefully placed her legs once again. With a heave, and a very squeaky foalish grunt, she found herself upright and balanced on the unwieldy stilts attached to her body.
Determined not to fall again, she waited until she was steady to begin lifting and stretching her legs. It was the very hard work of a few minutes before she was comfortable enough to try a step. 'This really isn't so hard after all. Besides, it could be useful.' she rationalized. Painstakingly, so as not to embarrass herself, she made her slow, dignified way over to where her siblings had been. OF course by the time she made it, they were off fully romping about the cave. Watching them for a minute she decided that it wasn't worth her time. Who wanted to play anyway? The droop in her ears was barely noticeable. She went back to concentrating on walking. Besides, give her a few days and she would be able to outrun their silly foalish games. Satisfied with her vision for the future she turned her face up to meet her parents.

He is the rebellious one and his pride and ego often get in the way. He is prideful not only of what he is but of what he can do. He is very calm when it has to deal with his family, but can be a bit pompous to those around him. He has a great love for his family and this can win him over almost instantly. He has established a Moral code and sticks to it in all circumstances. He will not deviate from it, no matter what the cost.
He has a great love of his family and especially his direct siblings. With them he is just a "Normal" guy, but with everyone else they get the mask that he wears when he is out. Nice, but not overly kind. He wont reject someone just for their appearance he will take the time to get to know them first. If they prove to be someone who he can't live with or that breaks his moral code, then he severs all ties and never sees them again.
He doesn't like others who are dis-honest and Dis-loyal. It goes against everything he was taught.
Plots
You can heal? - This is where he will learn that herbs are not just useful for flavoring things. He will learn that there are herbs that can heal, can hurt, paralyze, even kill. He will become fascinated with herbs and their uses. (I see this during the times when Ives is babysitting them and trying to find fun things for them to do. It will probably be completed over several Sub-plots.)
Strangers in strange lands - This is where he will venture out of the family lands his parents keep. He will meet another soquili or two before he returns back to the clearing. He will learn that not everyone who is different is bad. After all... there could be something to having "Friends" who are not related to you.
Friends? - This is where he will meet another foal (Or if it takes place when he's an adult then another Soq) and they will become friends. they will be different from each other, and he will have to learn that it's perfectly fine to accept someone for their differences.
Pets? - He will confront his mother about her pets. Why is Ives always around? Why does he choose to do their errands and babysit them? Is there a bigger reason why he's here? Why doesn't he have someone he loves? Or does he? Why do I not know more about him?! Not that I don't like him.... I do... like him I mean... Why do I never really see the others? Do they hate me?
Hatred - He will meet someone who will be on the path of friendship and then will turn on him and he will find out that they had been lying to him the entire time. Do they really value him as a friend? Can they work through it? Or will He walk out of their life forever? Or even worse... have they done something he can never forgive them for? Will his vision be clouded with revenge? (I see this being a couple different sub plots, one where he works through it, and another where he gets his first real "Enemy" someone he just wants Revenge on for something. this will help him grow as he has to overcome the want for revenge. He will eventually either succeed or he will give up on it and decide that it really isn't worth losing everything over.)
Herb Lore? - He will go out and wind up bumping into another who will have a mutual interest in herbs. The only difference is that they will know a bit more than he does. He will want to know everything they know and will stick around them a bit more than he normally would have upon just meeting someone. This person will become important to him, and could possibly turn into his first crush!

Daedalus had been told by Ives to go and find the herb he had just spoken about. He was again left with Ives while his parents went out and did something he assumed was probably important. He never really minded being with Ives and his interest in herbs was growing. He had to admit, they were an interesting group of plants. This one he was hunting was said to help heal cuts. He rolled his eyes. 'Like that could really happen... It's just a plant....' he thought to himself. He had been sent on this silly chore, probably to kill time until his parents got back, but he would complete it. He would find this herb if it was the last thing he did.
Looking around he saw many plants but none of them looked to be the ones he had been sent for. "Why does he have to send me after the Non-existent ones?!" he said to himself. He wasn't really angry or frustrated, but he wanted to find the herb and see if Ives was actually right. 'Could it really heal?' he thought. Ives had said many different things about herbs, after all, there was one that had helped when he had a stomach ache from eating some berries. His face contorted in an almost glare at the remembrance of the berries. They had looked interesting on the bush, who would have known they would make you sick? He pouted to himself for a few moments. If those herbs had worked, and they had, then these could too! That would be useful. If he managed to get cut on a thorn bush or something of the like then he could use the herbs to heal himself. Then he could show everyone how awesome he was. He smiled brightly and his pride sparkled in his eyes. That's right, he could find this herb and Ives would be so proud of him.
He moved through another bush, and there it was. Staring him in the face was the Herb plant Ives had been talking about. His eyes lit up brighter then they had before. He had done it. He had found the plant. He looked around in order to get his bearings before he took the plant back, but he managed to get himself lost in his pursuit of the herb. "Well this totally stinks!" he said not even meaning the plant before him. Though it did have a strong odor to it. He then reached down and gripped the Herb plant with his teeth. Biting it by the base of the stem near it's roots, as Ives had shown him before. He pulled gently, he didn't want to crush it and it pulled free of the ground. Now he just needed to find his way back.
He turned around in the clearing and headed back through the bush he had just come from. This was starting to seem familiar, he hoped. So he continued on the path he thought he had just come from. He couldn't have wandered too far from home. As he walked he thought about Ives, and about the herbs, and several things. 'I actually really like these Herb lessons...' he thought to himself and realized at that moment that he really did. His eyes went wide and he stopped for a moment. 'Ives knows so much... how did he learn it? Did he learn just like I am learning? Or did he pick it up when he left the territory on an errand?' his mind swirled as he thought about Ives. He realized that he had begun to look forward to their time together. When he could learn from Ives and learn about the different Herbs. He was so happy that he could bring back the right herb for Ives! He would be so proud of him. This made Dae's eyes shine even more as he started walking again. His head was held high, the herb still carefully grasped in his teeth.
He walked through the last bush and into the clearing. Excitedly his jumped around and raced towards Ives. He dropped the herb on the ground at his feet and looked back up to Ives. "I FOUND IT!!!" he said with the joy clear in his voice. "I actually found this one! Now we can heal cuts and scrapes if mom or dad or someone gets one!" His head was held high and he was so proud of himself for finding the right herb.
He listened as Ives told him that he had done good and the pride just swelled within him. He had actually accomplished it. It was only then that he realized his parents were back. His heart sank a little, but not a lot. He looked at them, and then back to Ives. "Can we have another herb lesson tomorrow? I really like learning about them!" He said hoping Ives would agree.
He did agree and Dae bounced on his hooves delighted. He thanked Ives and then raced off to tell his parents all about what he had done today and the herbs he had learned about! He also might have mentioned a time or three that HE had been able to find the herb Ives asked for!
Played by: Wasteland Wyvern Name: Ranulf "Deadeye" Gender (optional): Male RP examples (optional):[X][X] ((The second one leads to a skinwalker encounter! Not for the faint of heart...) About: Ranulf is very solemn, choosing to listen and learn rather than to rush headlong into a situation. This is not to say that this stallion won't be a vicious fighter, in fact he is quite brutal. Often he will push an enemy to the point of death before milking them for all the useful information they have. Then he'll kill them. He loves to learn about how a body functions, for knowledge is power, and will often take apart his victims after they are dead, or sometimes when they still live, though the shock of being vivisected will quickly kill them so he learns what he can while the blood is still pumping. Plots
Learning: This will be a basic repeatable plot at first where he will learn about anything and everything he can. Knowledge really is power.
Prey: This will be a small RP where he pretends to hunt Ives. What at first is nothing but play might turn violent and Ives might get hurt (at DNS's discretion of course). I want him to be severely punished for this folly and he begins to respect his mother and her pets more and never plays a 'game' like that again.
Pets of my own: This will be a teenaged plot for Ranulf where he brings home a young foal and wants to keep it as a pet, this could either be allowed by Nightshade/Glacier or he could be forced to return it to where he found it, or maybe it brings a wrathful parent of parents down on the family and they have to deal with it. Once again this will end in a lesson for the young Ranulf and he WILL learn from it.
The Story of Ranulf "Deadeye": This tale will be of a cocky half seasoned warrior who looses his eye to a skinwalker he thinks he can take, without learning enough about the cursed creatures, and he has to learn to live with being half blind. Through this encounter and failure his true legend will begin.

'Flying lessons...' He thought. His bright blue eyes fixed on his parents who were the teachers for this lesson and readily he began absorbing the information they spewed at him. Having an eidetic memory he was able to recall information at will and was secretly hoping because of this he would have an advantage over his siblings. He'd inherited his mothers pride to an extent, but only when it came to competing with his siblings, especially his twin. He had to prove he was better! The information kept coming for a time before finally cutting off and the young colt smiled cockily thinking he'd have such an easy time of it.
In truth he was the worst! Though he'd diligently logged the information he couldn't seem to get his wings to work in unison and he kept crashing to the earth, much to the laughter of his siblings. His pride was severely wounded at this point because no matter how hard to tried he could not figure this out! Tears gathered in the corner of his eyes but he growled and violently pushed back the emotions, escaping behind his solemn mask, before going over his accumulated info again. He had to be doing something wrong... Right? While his siblings were taking to the art of flying like fish to water he was more like a beached whale and he hated it... His information didn't give him any help, this was the first time it had truly failed him and he felt an indignant burn welling up inside of his heart. Why were his siblings so good at it and he wasn't? It wasn't fair!!! Then and only then did he realize it. He was over thinking it! He needed to just let instinct take over. So he pushed his calculations and knowledge away and started flapping his wings. Though at first nothing happened and his wing pinions began creaking from the strain finally! Finally! He achieved liftoff, and though shaky he managed to soar for a bit before crashing once again. He smirked. 'Practice will make perfect...' He thought and bruises always heal.

Harle blinked as she heard her mother and father...was she hearing things? First flying lesson. The mare looked a tad unsure...but looking to her siblings and seeing their glee. She felt reinforced. She could do this if they were. She could! The mare had watched her siblings attempt it one by one. She told them that all her current mood wanted was to watch them for a bit. She had been laying down, gracefully watching her twin and younger sibling. When attention was put on her. Harle felt her heart quicken. Blood pumping to her wings as she stood, fluttering them in her nerves. She looked at the small drop her siblings had lept from not too long ago.
She trotted back, kicking a rock or two to clear her jitters. Looking to the launch pad the mare steeled her nerves. Her siblings had a few false starts, they didn't just leap and flew. That being the case she knew what this would entail. All right...focus. Calm. She started to run at the drop. Faster. Pick up speed. She was almost there. Good speed now---JUMP! It took Harle three seconds to realize the flaw in her master plan.
She forgot to open her wings.
With a small yelp of shock she caught herself on the hill and fumbled. Thankfully she was used to leaping and such or else that would of ended badly....very badly. Letting out a shaky sigh the mare clambered back up to the top. Head held somewhat high she said that she had a miscalculation. Going back to her starting point she tried again. This time she flared her wings a tad late and dropped a little. Feeling a wind current catch in her wings. She felt her heart beat fast. Flapping once she let out a happy chuckle. She did it...she finally did it!! Closing her eyes...she failed to notice one thing.

(young adult)
Night Frost laid on the ground. Injured from a fight. Her front right leg had a huge gash as well as her rump. She had been stupid to pick up a fight with something so much stronger then she, she luckily made a quick escape by flight. However, due to blood loss she started to feel dizzy and had to land. As she tried to get back up on all fours she winced in pain at the weight on her right leg, she watched as the blood began to rush down and she frowned at the sight.
She looked around the area and realized she landed in a thicket of green. Perhaps those boring lessons that Ives prattled on about would come of use this time around? She thought to herself as she slowly began to head towards some plant life. Her eyes scanned the area at all different type of herbs. What was it again?
The mare closed her eyes as she tried to recall the information Ives gave during his lessons. There were so many herbs and they kind of all looked to same to her. She sighed in frustration as she began to pull out some random herbs and sniffing them for memory. After searching for a good while one jolted her memory and she then began to apply it after crushing it up. She found it a bit difficult to get to the one on her romp but she somewhat managed and so she limped over towards a fallen tree, resting beside it. Her eyes harden as she thought about the mare with the vicious smirk. She knew it was unfair that fight. Seeing as that mare...oh what was her name again? She couldn't recall but she had a muscle brain with her to help her. She huffed thinking it was pathetic for a kalona to follow around such a halfling.
Oh. That b***h was going to get it one day. She'll make sure to make her move when she's alone rather then being guarded by that brute. Then she'll show who is stronger! She raised her head up and looked up to the moon as if making a vow.

RP examples (optional):Current RP About: Rajnish thrives to make his mother proud of him, doing everything he can to the best of his abilities, and pushes himself to go even further then that. He wants to be the best of his basketmates, surpass all of their abilities, though deep down he does know that he won't be able to completely master everything, but it gives him something to strive for. When he's not participating in one of his parent's lessons, or competing against his basket mates, Rajnish is visiting the family near where they live, enjoying the stories that they have to tell.
That's one secret he keeps to himself, the fact that he loves to collect stories, because one day he would like to travel the lands and tell tales to young and old, but first he must master the lessons of his parents, and start collecting stories to tell from those around him. In his mind though, the traveling of the lands, telling tales to others is a way to find out their strengths and weaknesses, by paying attention to how they react to the tales, and the questions they may ask after. Plots
Collecting the Stories: This is where he starts to collect stories from various family members, his mother, father, Enya, etc. Perhaps even collect stories from the 'pets'.
You Want to do What?: Rajnish accidentally lets slip to a family member about how he wants to travel the lands and be a storyteller, will they react badly or will they understand his motives? Will his mother understand?
His First Adventure as a Storyteller: Depending on how things happen in the previous plot, things could happen differently, he'll either have been shunned/ridiculed/punished and he decided to try to prove to his family that the storytelling will work in deciding someone's worthiness, or if things go well and it's accepted, he heads out on good terms.

Flying lesson? Today? Rajnish was incredibly excited about this, as it would be his first time trying to fly. He wanted everything to go perfectly, so he could make his mother proud. As he stood there, watching, and listening to instruction, he couldn't help but start to get more excited, almost to the point where he didn't want to pay attention. His need to perfect this flying thing though was the only thing that kept his attention. Soon, it was his turn to practice what they were taught, and he stretched out his wings, flapped them a couple of times, and then took off running as fast as he could, wings spread wide. When he was going as fast as he could, he lept up into the air, flapping those wings as hard as he could, and with a big grin he thought he made it, flying on the first try! He knew that would make his mother proud of him! Alas, that overconfidence was his downfall, and his excitement at having perfected flying distracted him, and down he crashed, nose first into the grass. Feeling incredibly embarrassed, Rajnish quickly got up and ran away, afraid to face the laughter of the others, and upset that he didn't make his mother proud of him.
About: Growing up closely with their twin, Scion sometimes forgets where one starts and the other ends. Despite their contrasting coloration, Scion loves their twin more than anything they could have ever imagined. Their identity is built around their twin, thought whether that is their choice or they are an excellent mimic is yet to be seen. Scion is incredibly dependent on their twin, easily finishing their sentence, stepping in joint time, and always knowing what the other is saying. Scion’s biggest regret is that they are not completely identical, that no matter how close they are, no matter how similar they act and speak, they can’t be confused as one and the same.
Despite being the younger twin, Scion is protective of their twin, perhaps overly so. While prideful, they are more willing to allow any insult on their own person to go unanswered. Insults on their twin are another story. Scion is never more vengeful than to one that they think is insulting their twin. This extends to the rest of Scion’s family, where every imagined slight toward their herd requires retribution.
While generally prideful, Scion is ultimately the most submissive of the siblings. Respect for their family has turned into Scion mostly deferring to their option or judgement, especially in their youth. Outside of family, however, Scion is dismissive of others, judging them to be not worth their time. Even their family member’s partners and toys, Scion is uninterested in for the most part, preferring to focus their attention on their siblings and parents. Scion jealously hoards their family’s attention, disliking who he perceives as intruders into their lives.
As Scion grows up, however, they slowly find themselves an identity that isn’t built around those around them. (Personality is very plot or RP heavy and many aspects will be dependent on the personality of the twin.)
Plots
Growing Up and Apart? Never. – As the twins grow slightly older, Scion’s twin starts finding companionship elsewhere, whether it be a mate or a toy. While this is not particularly new, this is the first one they don’t feel like sharing with Scion. Scion struggles with jealously on the intruder and tries to win back their twin’s attention, whether it is through insults, threats, or bodily harm on the unwelcome newcomer. (Alternatively, or as a tangent, Scion feels that anyone who is so easily scared away doesn’t deserve their twin anyway.) Scion’s twin confronts them about their behavior—do they approve, disapprove? Does their twin feel stifled by Scion’s attention or are they just as bad if not worse?
Who Am I? – Having steadfastly refused to be apart from their twin for most of their life has obviously been unhealthy. Through a series of accidents (or machination from their family if they disapprove of their codependence), Scion finds himself alone for a prolonged period of time for the first time in his life. Meeting some new people as Scion tries to stumble home, Scion is confronted with the idea that they have spent so long being Twin B to their Twin A that they don’t really know who they are. Maybe after meeting someone new, Scion reacts in an unexpected manner, in a way they know their twin would never act. Scion is forced to come to terms with the idea that they aren’t as identical as they thought or hoped. Does Scion rebel against or embrace this idea that they are separate individuals?
Me and Mine – As an adult, Scion struggles with the concept of monogamy. Their parents, while mated, have various partners and toys that they play with often. Scion grew up with the notion that monogamy is boring and unrealistic and has always expected to follow in the footsteps of their parents. However, as they start to explore the dynamics of mating and love, Scion discovers something: they are not willing to share. (Scion should have expected this though—they couldn’t share their twin’s attention, could they really think they could share a lover’s?) Scion has serious discussion with their partner(s) about their expectations and talks to other couples, both monogamous and not, about their views. Whether Scion decide that monogamy is or isn’t for them just depends on what everyone has to say.

Scion emerged first. They had heard voices, whispers, talking to them for weeks and days as they stayed curled up in the warm, dark basket. They had slept for most of it at the beginning, only waking in brief intervals that became longer and longer as they became more aware of the outside. They became aware of the sounds, the words, and the meanings slowly, slowly, slowly and they yearned for the outside, to hear the words without the muffling of the basket, to smell all the new sounds, to taste because they became so so hungry.
When Scion emerged, they had jostled their basket, agitated, back and forth as they attempted to push the lid up and off. Too quickly, they realized their mistake and they came tumbling out, all unused long limbs tumbling out in a heap. The light hit their eyes, causing them to squint in pain at the sudden influx to their senses. Scion felt a nose nudge his side, his legs, untangling their limbs from their undignified tangle. Slowly, but steadily, Scion stood, their legs shaking as they tried to find their new balance and they took their first good look around.
The first thing Scion noticed was not their mother and father, who hovered nearby, or the various other members of the family, some of which who tittered on (hadn’t expected that one to come out first, what interesting colors, takes after the father you know). The first thing Scion noticed was the two remaining baskets, staged on either side of their discarded basket like sentinels. Scion’s own basket was tipped over and balanced precariously against the side of basket on the left which mirrored of look of their own, albeit with more red than black.
Scion tilted their head and stumbled a small step forward, curious. He heard someone murmur a word, the word—twin. Twin me mine us. Scion spared one more glance to their parents, contemplating, before their continued forward, slow and awkward, until they were next to their twin’s basket. Scion nudged their discarded, useless, basket out of the way, unmindful of it as it rolled away before curling themselves carefully around the red and black basket of their twin. Scion tucked their hind legs careful under themselves, twining their body to curve against the basket before resting their head gently on the top.
Scion closed their eyes and focused, listening to their steady heartbeats. Da-dum. Da-dum. Da-dum.
Me. Mine. Us.
Scion took a breath and waited.

Thorn does not doubt that his siblings can handle themselves but doesn’t take kindly to people disrespecting his family and will make sure that other soquili don’t make that mistake.
Adult Plots: Gardens: At first Thorn thinks people who tend gardens are pathetic but he soon learns that some plants actually can be used to his own advantage maybe from a soquili who is a master of poisons or a kind hearted soquili who is just trying to make sure he doesn’t hurt himself on the plants / is making sure he doesn’t poison himself by eating them. If it is a kind soquili, maybe they don’t realise that they are giving him ammo for his own uses.

Thorn begins to lace his tail spines with deadly nightshade (belladonna) and other poisonous plants. One whip of the tail and someone’s going to get hurt. Who will be the first to be on the receiving end?

He collects soquili who may have desirable traits, interesting backgrounds or soquili with useful or entertaining skills / talents. Someone tries to take one of his belongings. Thorn will not take kindly to this act. How will it turn out?
Take Me Instead: Thorn has his eyes set on a soquili who might interest him for his collection but another soquili steps in instead. Thorn usually has little sexual interest in his pets because they are lesser but this soquili is under the impression that, that is what he wants them for. Thorn is disgusted by them when he finds out what they were thinking. How will they react when they see what his true intentions are, will they try to escape?
Family Time: Thorn seeks out other family members in his lineage who are not as close to his mother or siblings. Will they shun him because he is not pure or will they slowly come to accept his presence?
Not your army: One of Thorns pets gets the wrong idea and gets a little cocky, Thorn shows them that he is not their army while they are away from him and that they must defend themselves or they are useless to him.
Taking That One to the Grave: Thorn helps a lesser and they come to admire him, they praise him for his good deeds and he doesn’t want his mother or father to know. Thorn eventually spits venom at them. He intends to keep that act to himself if he is to keep his reputation. The soquili comes out of the altercation confused and seriously harmed. To him a simple than you would have been fine but he feels like he was pushed towards savagely attacking them just to get them to shut up.

Thorn sighed when his mother told him that he would be in the care of Ives today. Life of the middle child could not get anymore exciting than that. It was clear to him that Ives was always trying his best with him and his siblings but he was always somewhat nervous.Ives’ nerves didn’t go down well with Thorn and at times it rubbed off on him and also made him feel uncertain. He wouldn’t let on to his siblings but always felt that his twin could feel it too. Ives wanted to please his mother but Thorn always thought it foolish to try and please her through the vocation of “babysitting” him and his siblings. He hated the term babysitting because he was not a baby and no-one got to sit on any babies anyway, which was sounded like fun if you asked him.
Even though Ives’ nerves unnerved him, he didn’t feel like he had to step on eggshells around him, Ives’ was stepping on eggshells around them and Thorn knew it. Thorn enjoyed the company of Langdon more than Inves, Langdon was his size and you know what they say about picking fights when you’re a kid! Ives would always try to make sure his poor companion was never left alone with the children, not even for a second because Thorn liked to try and rutt him right in the gnoggin and it was never received well on Landdon’s end.
Ives’ slower pace of life was sometimes a little too slow for Thorn but sometimes he surprised himself and found that he enjoyed the fishing trips. Him and his twin would bash the water with their tails to terrorise the fish, Ives and his younger sibling would be displeased with them both. Sometimes Thorn would have to resist the urge to jump in and try to catch them with his teeth but he knew he could never do it even though he’d seen bears out in the wild try. Thorn followed behind Ives for a day out, he smiled sheepishly. His mother had never discussed with him and his siblings how Ives should be treated. He knew that ives was a mixed lesser and that he belonged to his mother, the only thing Thorn had ever deduced from that is that he should not harm Ives but it didn’t mean he had to be nice to him either. Thorn spent a lot of time in his head mulling all of this over and decided it was best to keep it to himself, he didn’t despise Ives at all, infact he almost liked him, he just thought it was a shame that he was born boring and not special. Such is life and he had to accept it that not everyone was meant to be special. While he couldn’t harm Ives for fear of his mother’s wrath he could make it his job to play with him for a bit instead. His tail curled slowly and then splashed at the water flicking it in Ives’ face,”well you said you were getting thirsty, drink!” He watched Ives shake the water from his face with a nervous laugh. Ives lowered his neck to drink, Thorn signaled to his siblings to push him into the water to see if he could swim. On the count of 3 he jumped on Ives'. SPLASH!
Mother would have a freshly bathed, wet pet tonight.
Played by: belloblossom Name: Glacio (male) Belladonna (female) Gender (optional): Female (for the prompt only) RP examples (optional):123 About: Temper: Prideful After being raised to be proud of her Kalona heritage, Belladonna grew into a very proud creature, much as her mother was in her youth. She will develop standards of her own, but thanks to her parents tendency for pets, she will not have a complete "elitist" mindset. Being fairly shallow, Belladonna will allow herself to grace others with her intimidate presence only if they are as beautiful or rare as she thinks herself to be. She will refuse to taint her purity with a partner of mixed blood, however.
While she may not be the most intelligent Soquili, coming across more prideful and self-absorbed, she is aware of when someone else is acting snide or condescending and you do /not/ want to stick around once she gets angry. It doesn't matter if you meant it as a joke, if she took offense than you'd do best in putting as much distance between the two of you as possible. Plots
Foal Plots School's Out - Belladonna loves hearing about her heritage and takes great delight in knowing that she comes from a line of pure-blooded Kalona. One day after her mother tells them again about their proud family line, she goes off to strut her stuff (perhaps with her siblings at her side?) when she comes across her first non-Kalona outsider (ie, not the family pets.) She is perplexed, but her haughty attitude appears right quick. Hey! You're Not a Rabbit! - Just after one of her hunting lessons, Belladonna decides to go out and test her new skills. Seeing a rustling tuft of a tail in the bushes, Belladonna strikes in hopes of sinking her teeth into a plump rabbit! Instead, she finds herself leaping at Ives, her mother's pet. Chaos and grumpiness ensues. Mom, Can I Have a Puppy? - After being raised around her mother's pet, Ives, Belladonna decides that she wants a pet of her very own! Of course, her mother is hardly going to give her Ives (not that she'd want him anyway) so she starts exploring on her own in hopes of finding one. Grounded - Belladonna isn't quite the best flier in the group. After a crash landing that resulted in the injury of at least one other Soq, Belladonna is informed that she is to remain grounded under the attention of Ives while her siblings get to continue their lessons. It's just not fair! She learns to begrudgingly get along with Ives, even though he's just the family pet.
Adult Plots - Survival of the Fittest - It's time for Belladonna to leave home and find her own path. It's what her mother had been preparing her for all of her foalhood and now she's ready to stretch her legs and explore all the world has to offer her. Given her good looks and upstanding heritage, she's positive that the world will want to offer her lots. Up, Up and Away! - Belladonna couldn't stand not being a perfect Kalona in every way, and so was determined to learn how to fly... Even if it meant turning to a lesser breed (a Wind, probably) for assistance. When she finally leans how to fly gracefully, she starts to realize that perhaps some lesser species have their own perks after all. It Followed Me Home! - Whether it was an abandoned foal or a skittish Soquili she found in the woods, Belladonna has somehow found herself a pet. Only problem is that she didn't realize that she would have to take care of her pet! In this plot, she'll learn how to be a little less self-absorbed. A Premiere Match - Belladonna, having learned how to care for a pet, now thinks it's about time for her to have some foals of her own. The only problem is finding a suitable mate. They have to be beautiful, they have to be pure, and they have to have something that no one else has. It's a tall order, but then again, Belladonna's certain she's worth it. Prompt Picked: 3

Belladonna had been waiting for their first flying lesson since the moment she popped out of her basket. She had quite literally, been born ready for this. Since she had grown a bit, learning about how magnificent her family lines were, she was determined to become the perfect Kalona. While she may have gotten off on the wrong hoof with hunting, having mistaken Ives for a rabbit in the woods (hey it was an honest mistake, back off) she was certain that today was going to make up for all of that.
She stood on a cliff's edge, watching her siblings take off first. They all made it into the air and it was impossible to surpress a squeal of excitement, her hooves tapping the ground beneath her and her wings stretching as it came to her turn. She remembered her preparation for the day. She had to take a running start, stretch her wings, and then jump! A nagging sensation at the back of her head told her she was forgetting something, but in all of her excitement, she couldn't recall what it was.
The signal was given for her to start running and so she did. Her wings unfurled and she pushed off from the cliff's edge. The wind in her face was so wonderful and her heart felt so light--and then she suddenly felt very heavy, for she was plummeting down to the ground below. Her wings pinned against her as she dropped like a rock to the grass below her. In all of her excitement, she had forgotten to flap her wings so that she stayed airborne.
Belladonna had literally jumped off a cliff and forgotten the most important part to her flying lesson: flying. Red-faced with shame, Belladonna sucked in a shaky breath and started walking back to the mountain cliff, a limp in her step. This time, she wouldn't forget and this time, she would make her mother and father proud.

She has a bit of a sarcastic mouth, she thinks she is a badass and doesn't like to lose. This was it! This was the day she had been dreaming about, Learning To Fly! She would see her family members flying and wanted to join them, to race them, to be faster and more agile. She knew it would aid in hunting, which liked to think she was already pretty darn awesome at! Flying would make hunting so much better, open the world of prey up for her, no limitations, nothing to stand in her way and she had a special competition with her twin. Being the younger of the 2, she felt she had to prove herself in some way even if she really doesn't.
Ishild was so excited, but she remained poised and calm. She paid attention to the instructions, slowly going over how to apply it in her head as she got ready to try it. It came her turn and she flapped her wings testing the air pressure, she took a running start, flapped harder and harder and Jumped!.....
She was up, no she was down....and tripped over her own hoof. She was mortified, but her stubbornness kicked in, she brushed herself off and tried again, and then again, and again.....The sun was starting to set and the others had gone, satisfied with getting a foot or two off the cold earth for a minute or two, but not Ishild. She strived for perfection and refused to accept mediocre. She continued to try until finally as the last sliver of sunlight began to fade she pushed hard off the ground and flapped as hard as she could in her tired state.
She squinted her eyes as she flapped until she realized she wasn't on the ground and when she dared open them she was flying a good 10ft from the earth. She had done it, she was keeping a steady altitude and speed up to see how well her control was. She was still a little shaky but she was more then satisfied. She made her self proud, she was confident her parents would be made proud too. She landed and headed back to her family to show them her great accomplishment with her head held high.
Played by: Nyx Queen of Darkness Name:Ignis et Glacies (Fire and Ice in Latin) Gender (optional): Irrelevant until we both know though for ease I'll be using the pronoun he to write the prompt in. RP examples (optional): XxX and Xxx About: Ignis et Glacies is vain and proud. He believes in the mightiness of his family and their superiority over less fortunate others. In some ways, you could probably call him a snob. He loves his siblings passionately and fiercely, willing to do anything for them though he demonstrates this mostly by arguing with them. (Basically, I can be mean to my siblings because they're my siblings but if you are, we'll shred you. Ahhh family!) Plots The Family Honor: Someone disgraces (at least in his opinion) one of his siblings and he's out to settle the score. (Maybe take after mom and have his own pets).
It's Complicated: Ignis falls in love with someone he would never fathom he could. Now let's get this straight it's not the mushy gushy kind of love where everything is cotton candy, but rather the kind where let's burn the world down together. And who he falls in love with? Someone who's a mini, who teaches him that size doesn't matter it's force of character that does.

When he had met him it was autumn. The usidia had been wounded, but not broken. His spirit had been like a spark that drew him to the fire. For a long moment, Ignis had stood there gazing at the little stallion who gazed defiantly back.
The little usidia had dared him with his eyes to fight him, the little ones spirit was mighty. It was then that Ignis had decided to take him for a pet. Little did he know how that would change his life.
How could one so small glow like fire in the night? He did not know, only that he had never burned so brightly himself. Something in him stirred and Ignis decided that he would live bigger than he had, that there was no excuse that he could not be mighty as this small one.
The months came and went, winter frost filled the air. Snow fell down silently blanketing everything in peaceful white as the little usidia laid beside him, to warm him he told himself. The little one put out so much heat.
But as time wore on, he wondered if perhaps...in some way, he was the pet.

**If this is late and can't be accepted I totes understand!**
About: Nymphoides is a rather dismal character. Though he doesn't straight up attack anyone who wouldn't deserve it, besides the ones his family sees as undesirable, if someone were to upset him or make him mad, he would in no way see a problem with exacting some kind of revenge against the other. This would not only be limited to psychological torture, but would extend into playing rather harmful pranks on the other. Though the pranks will evolve into more as he grows older. Evolving into much more direct physical harm, such as jumping the other in the dark and beating them senseless. The pranks would still exist in some aspects when it suited his needs however, since he would not always have the capability to inflict direct physical harm to his opponent. Some of his favorite pranks involve starting a squabble with another and then blaming the one who did them wrong. This would instead cause the two to argue instead, mostly devolving into a fight. Though this seems petty, it's one of his favorite forms of amusement. Much like his mother, Nymphoides will enjoy keeping various pets near him. As a foal this will be limited to smaller animals, though another foal for a small amount of time would be fun as well. And as he grows older, it will evolve into keeping other Soquili around him as well. The Soquili that he keeps will mostly be voluntary, but he isn't above keeping another against their will. If he finds another interesting enough, he may just decide that he needs them in his collection. They would never be harmed or mistreated in his care. Nymphoides keeps his pets very well taken care of, allowing them to live closer to him than his mother's do, often sharing the same quarters with his favorite ones. His pets are also not limited to one gender or even one species. If he finds you pretty and you would like to stick around, or if you owe him something, he will happily keep you around. He just likes to keep pretty things around him. The pretty things that Nymphoides keeps are not limited to other Soquili either. He enjoys collecting various trinkets from anyone that he encounters and even raises some flowers like his mother. The trinkets are kept close to him where he sleeps at night, liking to look at them as he goes to bed. These can range from small accessories that come from other Soquili he has attacked or bullied, or even from pets that he may have allowed to leave his care. Though that doesn't happen very often, he becomes attached to his pets and likes to keep something from them. One thing that Nymphoides can't control is his rage. When another gets him into such a state, his mind goes blank and he can't control his actions. Though this is something rare, it is not to say that he wouldn't kill when he is in this state of mind. Not remembering much when he comes out of it besides the anger and what happened right before he blacked out. Though the killings would not bother him too deeply, it's simply something that would be easier dealt with by avoiding making him angry all together.
Plots The First Pet: This would happen while Nymphoides is still rather young in life. Knowing about his mother's pets would cause him to think on how nice it would be to have his own. Where he finds and decides to keep his first animal. Seeing the animal would just make something click in his head where he likes them and simply wants to keep them close. His first attachment outside of his family. Playing Nice with Others: Learning how to play nice is something that all Soquili must eventually learn to do. Though Nymphoides is really not all that great at it, in this case he is told that he must be nice. How annoying the other is will determine how long he is able to play nice with the other. Family Ties: Lots and lots of meetings with family. Though this would be seen as something of a burden to Nymphoides, family is important to him and meeting as much as he can is a goal he can get behind. Though this will be an on going journey for him, he would enjoy every moment of it. The First Soquili: This is the story of his first Soquili pet. This could come about simply because he decides that he wants to keep a Soquili he sees as interesting and pretty, or because he decided to help another and now they owed him a favor. But however it comes about, they are now his pet and life as Nymphoides knows it was about to change. Someone to Love?: An interesting feeling has come about for one of his pets. This attachment is strange to Nymphoides... Though he feels something like it for his family, this feels different somehow. He may not understand it completely, but he knows it's from his pet and that they won't be leaving his side anytime soon. A Rival of Sorts: This Soquili really gets on Nymphoides's nerves. They have never met someone who can get under their skin as easily as this Soquili can. This is something that, if the other Soquili is careful, can go on for a very long time. Or, if they are just aiming to make him made, could end rather badly for the other...

This was a strange feeling indeed. Coming out of this woven prison that he had been in all his life so far. All Nymphoides could think was that he had to get out. Had to discover if this was all there was to the world around him.
With a swift kick he did just that. Looking around, he saw two other little woven prisons. They seemed to move... Were there others in there as well! He just had to find out. Going over to them he started to chew on the outside of the other baskets. Hoping something would happen. Suddenly the other basket had popped when he wasn't looking. This was an interesting discovery indeed! Slowly he sniffed at the other. They smelled familiar and nice. It was great! While he wasn't looking the basket he had been chewing on had popped another little being like him! It was really exciting!
Going over to the other he started sniffing them as well. It was great that there were so many of them! Wiggling his butt a bit he hopped onto one of the others. This was the best thing ever!
Wow guys! Thanks all of you for entering, ya'll made this a really really hard decision! Everyone of you had plots and stories that made me want to see them brought to life. I wish I had a whole herd of baskets to give away crying
After lots of discussion me n Twitchers have come down to a decision though.
