Private RP for Kadentsu (~Twilight...Angel~) and Amaranth Amora (Angelique DelaMort) From a distance the tiny figure on the lily pad could have almost been mistaken for a deep blue flower. Amaranth Amora had made herself very comfortable on the floating green plant, soaking up the warm afternoon sun and enjoying the gentle movements of the placid pond. For the moment she was watching the unique swirls and designed cast by the sun shining through her translucent wings.
She typically spent her days exploring these new lands but for now she was content taking a small break and enjoying a lazy day. After all, one could not work constantly. There had to be these quiet times to simply enjoy the world and quiet times to think. Just as long as she didn't dwell too much on the past, that could be dangerous. Amaranth wrinkled her nose and shook her head as if that could clear her memory of the bad times. Today was a beautiful sunny day and she was going to make the best of it. Perhaps by starting with a nap, she thought resting her head on the lily pad and closing her eyes.

Kadentsu made her way over to the small pond, she always did enjoy looking at the water. As she went closer, she saw the little lilly pads floating on the pond, gently moving with the water. As she continued to watch, she thought she saw something, or someone, laying down.
Kadentsu decided to get a little closer to the small thing. Gently she waded into the water, trying not to disturb the surface of the water too much. As she got closer and closer, she saw that it was another Soquili. She hadn't seen many flutters up close yet, even less in their smaller form. Bending over a bit, she gently sniffed at the tiny Soquili.
Kadentsu took more of the tiny Soquili in as she watched. Seeing that the tiny thing is, in fact, a mare. She often wondered what it was like to be so tiny...

"Hello to you too!" Amaranth called up laughing as she beat her wings and lifted herself from the lily pad. So much for that nap. She mused to herself that it wasn't her way to have a quiet day anyways. Now, she had to discover who this new soul was. Flitting up until she was almost at eye level with the mare, Amaranth studied the new comer. Her mane and tail were bright, like fresh pink roses in some far away garden. She wore clothing, something of a rarity in this area, Amaranth had observed. And this female had beautiful clear eyes, reminiscent of the tranquil pond she now stood in. Amaranth also noticed the mare was staring at her very intently. "What?" The flutter asked curiously glancing at her own form. "Do I have something on my wings?"

Kadentsu gasped a bit, just a tiny one, when the small mare suddenly started talking.
"Oh! Hello there!"
She looked at the pretty little flutter carefully. The little one was a deep blue with a pretty shade of purple for her wings. Kadentsu still couldn't believe how tiny the flutter could be!
"Of course not!"
Kadentsu blushed a bit when she realized she had been staring so intently at the little one. Her mother would be upset at her if she had known of her behavior.
"I do apologize for staring. I've seen flutters before... But it's just amazing how small you can be..."

"I suppose it must seem amazing to you," Amaranth said giggling. "But to me it's all very normal. I just have to make sure no one steps on me!" She added half joking. Amaranth always made sure she rested in places that were either very high up or other wise difficult to get to when she was in her miniature form, but she could easily imagine what could happen if some full sized Soq came trampling by when she was on huge ground. Worse yet, what would happen if it was a draft or a war horse. She cringed and mused to herself, And that's why the great spirit gave us wings and bright colors.
"Did you come by for a swim?" she asked the mare cheerfully.

Kadentsu listened to the little mare, deciding that being stepped on when you were so small did seem like it would be a rather unpleasant experience.
"I would imagine that you would have to be careful about such things. With there being so many larger things around when you are so tiny. I would be afraid a little animal might come along and thing I'm a snack..."
Kadentsu looked around a bit. She was thinking about what she had said and wanted to make sure that there were no birds around or anything that might pick the little mare up. Though she thought about how the little mare could probably just expand back to her larger form in a pinch. The thought made her nod to herself a bit.
"Oh! No actually. I saw the water and wanted to come explore near it. Just see what's around. Then I saw you on that pad there. Didn't know it was you then of course, so I came in to get a closer look at what flower could have been on the pad!"
Kadentsu smiled a bit, thinking how silly she was to think it was a flower in the first place. She know what flowers on pads looked like for the most part. Though now she was also glad that she didn't just jump into the water and took it slow to examine it better. She would have been upset with herself if she had caused the nice little mare to drown.

Amaranth smiled and replied sweetly, "I like to think I'm a little smarter than some of the little animals around here. Besides," she beat her wings and flit around the mare's head back to her starting spot in a snap. "I'm pretty speedy, even for my size." Amaranth hovered several feet above the surface of the pond. "Do you explore new areas a lot?" she asked. "I was originally exploring as well, just trying to get a feel for this place. I found it to be so peaceful that I decided to rest away my day here." She looked around at the tranquil water and slightly bobbing lily pad, "One of the better decisions I've made lately."

Kadentsu tried to watch her flit around her head, the mare moving too quick for her eyes to keep up. As the little mare settled back to fluttering in place, Kadentsu bent her neck down a bit, trying to get a better look at her. She rather liked this mares sunny disposition.
"Moving that fast would certainly help getting away from birds and things. And, naturally, being more intelligent than the average animal helps as well."
Kadentsu smiled brightly at the little mare.
"I do like to explore places. I'm often out and about instead of staying home. Exploring is how you learn new things after all. And I have a hobby of helping out others."
Kadentsu looked over to the shore. The water here wasn't very deep and there was a good amount of vegetation around the sides of the pool. She always did have a thing for pretty bodies of water.

"Helping others?" The flutter mare smiled. "That sounds like a very good hobby. I tend to spend much of my time exploring, as you say, to learn new things and also to appreciate each world. It's a completely different experience looking through the world from the size perspective of the many creatures that naturally inhabit that area." She sighed and looked around wistfully, "When I'm at my full size I worry that I miss many things, from this size I'm surrounded by the little details....and sometimes I become a part of the surroundings."

Kadentsu smiled and nodded her head. Oh how she loved helping...
"I was taught to always help those in need! If someone needs help, it doesn't matter how big or small the task is!"
She looked at the flutter, considering what she was saying. Then nodded her head in agreement.
"I can certainly see where being bigger in size I could miss little things, like ants! They are terribly small... Makes it hard to truly see them."

In a conspirator's whisper Amaranth replied, "Ants may be small, but they are the best at fetching sweets if you ask nice enough. But you mustn't make them made." She giggled a little remembering the story, "When I was very young, I didn't think I should have to ask the insects before taking from them, after all - I could be so much bigger than them if I wanted! Well one day when I was napping in one of those little hollowed out spots made by the roots of a tree twisting, I suddenly felt myself being picked up and carried away! It was only a few ants, that's all it took I was such a very little thing at the time, and they actually carried me right to where I had hidden a few sweets I stole from them. You could say they made their point quite clearly. To make it up to them I snuck away a few sweets from my own collection as a piece offering."

Kadentsu listened to the story, kind of mystified. She had never thought of ants in such a way as to get little sweets. Certainly that would be a handy thing to know of if you were able to be in such a tiny form. Ants would probably be good friends to have too.
"I'd imagine that the ants probably wouldn't be too happy with others taking their candy. They probably work pretty hard to get the candy they have. But at least they just wanted to make sure you understood when you were a foal and didn't do anything to you instead! Like take you to their Queen or something!"
Kadentsu thought on what she had just said for a second and then wondered if she was able to fit so far into the ants homes.
"Have you ever met an ant Queen?"
She looked at the little flutter with wonder in her eyes. The mare had such respect for the flutter because the little one could get into many places Kadenstu could not. She must have explored so many more places than what she ever could. And She would love to know a bit more about her adventures with the bugs and in the blades of grass.

Amaranth shook her head smiling. This mare was looking at her with something that was almost admiration, but Amaranth couldn't help feeling like she didn't deserve such attention. She had made her fair share of mistakes in the past, maybe more than her own fair share...
"No, I haven't met an ant queen," she replied softly. "The ants I've met all seem happy enough to help me with this and that but a lot of creatures I've met get a little....twitchy when I get too close to their homes. Insects especially like their space and I try to respect that." She added lightly, "But I would not be surprised if you've met a queen in your travels and your quest to aid others!"

Kadentsu thought on it for a moment and figured that such a thing probably made sense. Just considering the fact that the little mare could just change into a larger mare, much larger than any insect she came in contact with. She was sure that that was something that could ruffle a few feathers among the tiny creatures.
"Oh! I'm actually a Princess myself. My brothers and I were raised to be royalty. I'm not sure if my mother is an actual Queen, but I like to think she is."
Kadenstu looked at the small mare.
"I have met a lot of different personalities on my journey though. A few different kinds. It's always interesting to learn things from another point of view."

"Then I am very pleased to meet you, princess," Amaranth said with a little midair bow. She had to admit she was caught off guard by the revelation that the fair mare was a princess, but not completely surprised. The mare seemed to be one of the sweetest, most innocent souls she'd every met, sometimes those were defining traits of a princess. "I agree with you, meeting new souls is the best part of exploring these lands. Meeting them through offering help and your services must surely endear your to them, and vice versa."
