Tenzin (and Damian) Tenzin often strolled about the Western Forest, clearing the paths that twirled through the expansive wood of fallen trees and other such debris that proved an obstacle. He desired all that resided in the forest, in his forest to be able to move around with ease and not be prevented from any happiness. Additionally, his daily walks like these were very relaxing and had become such a ritual to Tenzin that he couldn't ever see himself breaking the habit.
Upon this day, the draft stallion was extra pleased, for his familiar Damian had decided to join him. The wolf often stayed within the depths of the forest, where their "den" as Damian put it, resided. Tenzin suspected that it was a protection instinct that the wolf had, to keep their personal home safe, while Tenzin's horizons broadened to the entire forest as their home. Some days, like today, however, the grey wolf liked to stretch his legs and walk through the forest with his bonded.
"Pleasant day isn't it?" Damian remarked, "The sun is warm, the grass is soft and the light filters through the leaves in such a pretty manner."
"Indeed." Came Tenzin's reply, "A glorious day to be in the company of others." At this, Tenzin looked to his familiar and smiled at him, which was answered by happy eyes and a wagging tail.
They continued down pathways and through the forest when Damian made a comment about wanting to take a break in their walk. Tenzin had forgotten that the wolf wasn't used to walking around the territory so much, so he informed his friend that there was a river nearby and that they could rest there. Damian agreed and they headed off, with Damian in the lead.
The two forest dwellers had been expecting to have a relaxed break by the river. Damian was especially looking forward to dipping his paws into the cool river, while Tenzin was content with the idea of a drink. Only, it was not meant to be,for suddenly Damian rushed ahead with an alarmed back, the river just ahead.
"Tenzin! Tenzin, come quickly!" Howled the wolf and Tenzin hurried to him, worried at his companion's sudden change of mood. Upon coming up to the river, he saw what the fuss was about. At the spot where the river that had come from the mountains mellowed out, lay a young filly upon the shore, the water lapping at her legs. Damian was standing beside her, eyes filled with anxiety as he looked between the filly and his bonded.
At first, Tenzin didn't move and then he started forward, walking into the river and turning towards the shore, nosing the filly further out of the water. When the river no longer lapped at her hooves, he stepped out of the water and lay close beside the young dear. Snuffling at the tiny foal and he watched her body intently, until he saw the rise and fall of her flanks. He let out a long sigh, "She's alive." He said with a long sigh, "Now, let us see if she will wake."
With that the gentle giant moved his head to the filly's and spoke softly, not wanting to spook her, should she wake. He had too much experience with Soquili being frightened of him and he didn't want this filly to be one of them. "Little one," He murmured, "Little one, you must wake up. You must wake up and be well. Come now, nothing will hurt you; I will keep you safe, but you must wake."

As the large stallion nudged the frail, beaten, and tiny Uni'Cery'Flutter her poor mind was wracked with images of the purewalkers grinning face. He'd gotten her cornered and she was as good as dead. The walker jumped forward and she slipped, tumbling hooves over head into the river. The bear's teeth snapped at nothing, his annoyed howl filling her sensitive ears until they filled with water and all she heard was the rushing and bubbles. She tried to kick to shore but the water was too fast. A waterfall roared in the distance and she tried to fight harder. It was of no use. She fell like so much water before her. A rock protrusion caught her hard in the head breaking off a piece of her stubby cery horns and knocking her unconscious.
From there the nightmare was just sounds...
Her reverse scleraed eyes opened, the yellow faint and glazed with pain. Her vision was filled with an over large stallion who was brown predominantly with some green. Her was urging her to wake and be alright. She didn't understand why he wanted her to be okay, she was fine. Soaked to the bone, cold, and achy but perfectly fine. But who was this stallion...
She took a guess, "Daddy?" Came her sweet but weakened voice.

Tenzin (and Damian) Tenzin let out a sigh of relief when the filly's eyes opened, as did his familiar who had retreated behind him, only to poke his head out to observe the filly from a distance. If the filly was awake then it was likely that her injuries, if she had any, were not severe. He knew enough about sprains or cuts, mostly from getting hurt himself, to figure this much out on his own. Still, it was best to check from the foal and he was opening his mouth to ask how she felt, when she spoke first.
Daddy? He became still, his mind sluggish as he tried to come to a sort of conclusion. He'd never been called that before. Behind him, Damian chuckled, peering at the filly.
"Not quite." Damian said easily, "That's Tenzin and I'm Damian, his familiar."
Damian nudged Tenzin with his shoulder and Tenzin picked up from where his companion left it, suddenly able to form words again. "We found you by the river, little one." The stallion informed her, glancing at the river that flowed steadily on beside them, "Are you alright? Can you tell us your name?"

She looked up at him, eyes half glazed from exhaustion and pain. Not her father..? Even her thought process was slow. Blinking up at the large stallion she answered, "I... My name..? I... I don't remember..." Her eyes glazed further as pain shot through her whole body. The fall had really taken its toll but the river had made it worse. She shivered violently and collapsed unconscious. Her nightmare immediately resumed with her on the cliff staring down the purewalker... 'Mamma!!!' Her dream self called but all she heard was an earth shaking roar.

Tenzin (and Damian) What had Tenzin gotten himself into? A young silly, exhausted and likely hurt too, who didn't know her name and was too tired to speak, let alone walk with him closer into the trees. For a long moment, Tenzin was at a loss as to what should be done. He couldn't push her towards the edge of the trees, he could injure her, but keeping her so close to the river might cause the filly to catch a chill. With a sigh, he got to his hooves. Damian looked up at him, his expression one of mixed concern and curiosity. "Tenzin, what are we going to do now?" His familiar asked.
"We are to take care of her, of course." Came Tenzin's reply as he walked around the filly to where part of her rested along the shore. He lowered his head and slowly nudged her out of the way of the lapping river water, before lowering himself down into its path. He lay down, curled partially around the young thing as a block between her and the river. He shivered once at the feeling of the cold water against his side, but he thought nothing of it when his gaze returned to the young filly at his side. "Damian, your nose is far sharper than my own. Can you scent any blood on her?" He asked his wolf companion, who's nose twitched close to the filly.
"Yes, but the scent is faint and washed out. Any cuts she may've received were shallow ones. I'm no healer, but I don't think they're going to be fatal." Came Damian's reply. Red eyes met green and by Tenzin's second sigh, it was easy to tell that it was one out of relief. "Well then, when she wakes, we can have a better look at her and get her own opinions on how she feels and where it hurts and whatnot. Until then, we shall keep her safe." He kept his head up and his ears erect, as did Damian who sat on the filly's other side. Yes, this was surely the best course of action. They would protect the little one; they would keep her safe... Whoever she was.

Siana shivered once or twice in her sleep before the big stallion laid next to her and lent her some warmth. Instantly her nightmares ceased and she sighed almost contentedly. A small smile lit her sleeping face and she snuggled closer to him. Maybe she didn't know who she was or where but she could be content for now...
An hour later...
She came awake slowly, her dark scleraed eyes opened. Pale yellow irises looked about wondering where she was. Her ears clearly picked out the sounds of a slow moving river and the slow breathing of the big stallion she'd met before collapsing. Curious she raised her head and looked back at him, "Hello mister not-daddy!" She smiled brightly trying to be friendly. Something deep within told her to always be friendly, that it was who she was.
Belloblossom Sorry for the time jump! I didn't know if you'd like Tenzin to sleep for that hour or not so I left it vague.

Tenzin (and Damian) Tenzin had stayed awake for perhaps the first half hour, but after Damian assured him that he would keep watch for anything, Tenzin focused primarily on keeping the young filly warm. Eventually, he nodded off and slipped into the darkness of his dreamless sleep. When he woke, it was by the sound of a higher voice than his own and he was jostled into the waking world. He smiled at the sound of the other's voice however, for this meant that the filly had woken and by the sound of it, she had had a restful sleep.
"Hello, little one." He replied, raising his head so to better look at her. It was only then that he realized her eyes were golden and black. While unusual, Tenzin thought little of it, given that many of the odd variety had passed through his forest before and many of them had been friendly. "How are you feeling?" Wasteland Wyvern That's quite alright. Thank you! 3nodding

Siana stood up, perhaps a little too quickly, considering how fast she fell on her butt, legs sticking out in front of her comically. She just grinned and stood up again, tripped and fell on her face. Giggling brightly she lowered her rump and laid on the ground, rolling a bit in the soft sandy area of the shore. She was apparently more unsteady than she thought. Perhaps the water had messed with her equilibrium..? "I feel alright mister not-daddy. Mmm... What's yur name?" She had that cute foalish inflection to her voice, mispronounced words abounding in her vocabulary. She watched him and his wolf friend wondering about the two, about where she was, and about who she was. She cocked her head to the right and awaited her answer, a small scrape on her teal marked nose from her earlier fall.

Tenzin (and Damian) Tenzin's expression was one first of concern when the filly tried to stand, only to topple over, but when the action repeated, it turned to amused. He lowered his head to nuzzle her into a slightly more upright position, despite her laying down, pulling away only when she spoke again. How relieved he felt when she announced that she was feeling well again. He wouldn't have had a clue what to do if she had woken up in pain. How long would it have taken to send Damian to go find a healer?
"My name is Tenzin." He answered and then nodded towards his wolf familiar, "And this is my dear friend, Damian." He paused, not entirely sure where to go from here without being incredibly awkward about the lost memory of the foal. Damian, as per usual, didn't seem to have any problem with asking the questions Tenzin was fearful of.
"Young Miss, is there anything that you can remember before we found you?" Asked the wolf, who was no bigger than the foal, in comparison to Tenzin at least.

Siana initially tripped over the words of their names, what was left of her ragged water torn wings fluttered a little with her concentration. "T.. Tanzeen... Tenzen." She frowned and tried one last time, "Tenzin!" Her frown turned to an elated smile as she got the first one. Then looking to the wolf familiar she said, "Da... Damian..?" That was a first for her, only two tries! "It's really nice tah meet cha! Thank you fur taking care of me." The question from Damian caught her off guard initially and she closed her eyes trying to remember anything from before they found her. "Hummmm... I remembah a big furry thing that made scary noises and snapped big teef at me... Then tha water and then you." She wasn't sure why the big furry thing had made such noises and actions but something deep in her said 'fear' when she thought of it. She made some unhappy noises and then got up and wandered around the larger stallion. "So yur not mah daddy?" She almost sounded disappointed at the fact. For some reason she desperately craved parental attention. It just showed quite how young she really was.
